Lora was very thorough and knowledgeable. She was able to provide me with more information than my own Dermatologist. I left feeling that even if my hair did not grow back that I have options. That put my mind at ease . I would recommend Allusions to anyone I know.

I went to Allusions because my hair was thinning out on top. Allusions is under new management and the new owner, Andreas, is awesome. Before he took over Allusions, I was frustrated, felt like no one cared and did not feel heard. As soon as Andreas took over, he called me personally from his cell phone and set up a meeting. He listened intently, I felt heard and I knew he cared about my concerns. He did the research and found a solution for me. Andreas cares about his customers and I appreciate that in a business owner!!

My mother purchased a wig here. When she told me the cost, I knew something wasn’t right. $900 for a synthetic wig? It was not custom made for her, it was off the shelf. We had the wig inspected and appraised and it was valued at no more than $450. You asked how much she was willing to spend and that’s what you charged her even though the product is clearly not worth that amount. When we tried to address this we were shut down and that is not acceptable. We took matters into our own hands at that point. I would check in with some of your customers that have come to you in the last few weeks as we have talked to quite a few as they’ve left your building. Many were horrified when we showed them the information and appraisal and are getting their own products looked at elsewhere. We now have 3 others who will be contacting you. We are contacting the BBB as well as channel 12. There is nothing worse abusing the trust of those who are fragile or under duress. Shame on you for taking advantage of the elderly and I assume cancer patients.

Ive worked at Allusions for over 8 years now and I absolutely love it! Everyone on the Allusions team is an absolute joy and love our clients (especially our regulars)!

These women treat hair loss as a jackpot. Even after you wait weeks for an appointment, Sarah doesnt take the time to remember what you did or didnt ask for and she still just slops together the hair at the last minute! She literally was trying to get my piece ready while I was there in the chair and was nervously dousing in it color. Yuck! It wouldnt bother me so much if they could just be honest. Say, I didnt get to yours yet, or the wrong piece came in. Something to consider, -Most people understand mistakes. They will work with folks who arent trying to hoodwink them. We are willing to wait for our overpriced and now over processed hair, to HAVE the hair ALLUSIONS CHARGED US FOR at least BE WHAT we asked and paid for! This hair is SOO expensive. It must be right. Lies just infuriate and hurt the customer. Try honesty, Sarah and Jeanne. The scams have worn thin. Good people have left your Business Park office defeated and forlorn.Dont try to pad this review with inviting me to hear you out. I dont want to talk, thats how I got screwed in the first place. You are good at confusing people and making them feel as though they are just reacting to your bad business because they are sad about their thinning hair.... well, its way MORE SAD to think that I was taken advantage of by a Greedy Grandma who knew that chemo stole my hair. You dont find solutions to insecurity and tears, my dear. You see dollar signs. And for goodness sake, stop trying to unload those tired old products on your shelves to the elderly! $90 for this, $90 for that... shame on Allusions. Dont contact me Jeanne. Dont reply to me. I have heard enough of your shameless tales. And I dont want to hear one more time how much more attention your redheaded daughter received over your blonde daughter. I feel bad for the blonde. At the end of January I received my new hairpiece from Allusions. Within a month the hair was coming out so badly that I made a complaint. I did not use curling irons, oils, or anything that could damage the hair, so I could not understand why the hair coming out. My stylist noted my complaint in my file. When I arrived for my next appointment in March, I again complained that the hair was coming out and would not last for 6 months. My stylist observed the thin spots in my hairpiece and took a picture and also noted this in my file. She suggested that notify Jeannie. I notified Jeannie and was told that my hairpiece would be sent back to the manufacturer for repair (which would take 10 weeks) and that I could PURCHASE a synthetic hairpiece for $799.00. I informed her that I did not think that it was fair that I had to pay for another hairpiece because my new hairpiece was defective. Jeannie made me an appointment in April to remove the new hairpiece and replace it with a hairpiece that she had on hand. The new hairpiece was removed and sent back for repair and it was replaced by hair that looked and felt like steel wool. I knew that I had to wait 10 weeks for my hair to be repaired and was trying to be accommodating, but I have to go to work daily and be presentable. The hair would not hold a curl, it was hard, I could not wrap it, it would lay down and it was frizzy (it was a mess). On April 30th, 2015, I again returned to complain about the replacement hair. I was taken to a room by Jeannie and given my choices of wigs that I could pick out. Synthetic hair pieces were $799.00 and Human hairpieces $1700.00, which I could get a loan for. I decided to get the synthetic hairpiece because my hand were tied and I felt I had no other choice. I was told by Jeannie to come in on May 5, 2015 @ 1:00 pm. She stated that the synthetic hairpiece would be there and could be attached. I arrived at 1:00 pm and was told by the staff that I was not scheduled for and appointment (although I was scheduled for an appointment). Susan stated that Jeannie was scheduled in the office @ 2:00 pm, but she could help me. Susan took me to a room and informed me that my synthetic hairpiece had not arrived and was on back order until June!!!!! I immediately started to cry because I was upset with the process. I did not know what else I could could do. I told Susan that I would rather they shave my head bald than for me to leave the office with another piece that I was not satisfied with. Susan told me that she would have Jeannie call me when she arrived in the office. I left office in tears and sat in car for the next 15 minutes to calm myself. I decided that I would wait on Jeannie to arrive to discuss my complaint. At approximately 2:30 pm FedEx arrived and had my synthetic hairpiece. I informed the staff that I still wanted to speak Jeannie upon her arrival. Jeannie arrived and stated that she apologized for all of issues with my hair. My hairpiece was removed, my hair was washed and the synthetic hair was applied. The synthetic hair looked liked something plopped on top of my head (it was a mess). I requested the it be cut , but was informed that my stylist was with another client and was told to return on May 6, 2015 @ 11:00am. I have been a client with Allusions for 3 years and expected better from them. I have never complained about any service performed, until now. Why should a customer who is dissatisfied with their hairpiece be FORCED to purchase another hairpiece?????

I have so much praise for Allusions of Montgomery Rd. in Cinti, Ohio.I purchased two beautiful wigs. My less than perfect natural hair, after experiencing an all too familiar DX and therapy, was thin and needy. I visited Allusions not thinking anything could make me feel good about my hair again. Wrong! I was reduced to tears of happiness with what they did for my self esteem in a short hour!I was so pleased I purchased TWO wigs and felt the price of $1900 was well worth how I felt. Staff was attentive to ensure that all was perfect and I was happy. So great.I live on a farm and because of recently retiring, I wore (and alternated) a wig only on Sundays (my social church day!).After a few weeks I found one piece (band area) gave me a headache which after a number of corrective attempts (by Allusions), was not wearable, for me.I traveled back to Allusions and the owner respected the frustration of my situation. I was ready to closet/shelf it. She was wonderful! She instructed Susan to replace it with one by the same manufacturer. How wonderful and kind was that!I could not and still cannot rave enough about 90% of all that Allusions represents.I must, with all this happiness and praise, mention one significant negative fact.Remembering how infrequently I wear either wig (once or on rare ccasions, twice a week) I thought it a reasonable expectation that they would last for years.Good time to mention, cleaning and styling was only done by Allusions.I noticed the front band was showing regardless of how I combed the bangs. In time, the same problem presented itself with the other piece.With wigs in hand, I traveled to Allusions knowing they could correct or advise me. I thought that even a restyling of the bangs might do the trick. Whatever,...I was confident all would be addressed, after all, they were not even or just, a year old and worn sparingly.I wont/cant forget what I was told because only at that time $1900 seemed costly, ...wigs usually last a year... So, there was no fix and I went my way.This is my ONLY complaint. Had I been told when I first walked in and was purchasing both wigs, that I should expect theyll last about a year I would have not purchased them. For their infrequent use (a fact that I shared with my salesperson) it then would have been too costly for me.You may ask why Im only now speaking of this, because today I received a request to rate and review, so,...I am.

I started losing my hair 15 years ago after being on strong medication for years. I also suffer from PCOS and its an uphill battle to regulate my body sometimes. Its thinning on top but Ive coped well so far. I am getting married in October and went to Allusions with the hopes of utilizing their expertise to assist in creating a good cut/style for my special day. My experience was HORRIBLE. Within ten minutes I was crying. The woman told me that while she could have me waste a lot of money there was nothing that could be done for my hair loss given the reason and it would more than likely get worse. Every solutions she suggested was quickly followed up with but that wont work because... She brought in a box of hair pieces and plopped this animal looking piece of hair on my head as she tried to convince me with dye and style it would look very natural. When she could tell I was not impressed, she said Or you could just shave your head now and wear a wig. I was mortified and angry. She claimed that she had been in the business for 15 years, but I have no idea how. I have never felt so unattractive and sensitive. I later went to Mitchells Salon in Kenwood where they were equally appalled at my experience with Allusions. They did a beautiful job in 10 minutes giving me an idea of what they could do with extensions and a touch of root spray. I left there feeling beautiful and so excited about my hair for my wedding day. DO NOT waste your time with this place. Im sure it costs a fortune and there are others like it that would be better to work with Im sure.

I began losing my hair 5 years ago. After I requested scalp biopsy, I was diagnosed with lichens planopilaris with scarring alopecia. My hair loss wil continue and is permanent. I learned about Allusions on the Hair Loss webpage. I made an appointment and bought a partial hairpiece. I then went back to have it styled. Eden was kind and very helpful in teaching my how to place it. She did a great job styling the piece. I have ordered full wig from another source and if necessary, I will return to Eden for styling.
