I went here for the first time to try it out because it looked very unique and the experience described sounded exceptional. I can honestly say the woman at the front desk was the best part of the experience. She seemed very happy to be there and explained everything I needed to know. Other than that, my stylest didnt explain anything as she was going through her process, didnt ask me any questions. Im not sure what I was expecting, but to anyone whos been to sports clips - you can get the same experience for $25 and the stylists there explain more and do just as good of a cut. The haircut isnt a bad haircut, but for $50 its definitely not worth it

Just got a beard trim from Bayle at 18|8 Oakley. I could not be happier. I showed her a picture of what I had in mind, told her to take some artistic liberty, and she totally killed it. Ive now been going to Christi for years for a pretty simple reason - shes does a fantastic job and makes getting a haircut fun. As someone who used to cut his own hair because I found the experience so miserable, its a pretty big change to say that I now actually look forward to haircuts. Would highly recommend giving her and 18-8 a try - they are extremely professional and make it well worth the visit!

I went in for the Executive and a manicure. My hands feels incredible and clean and my hair looks professional. I felt both pampered and comfortable the entire time.

A little pricey but the haircut I received was reflective of the higher price. A case of “you get what you pay for”. Happy with my trim.

Fantastic, friendly, and prompt service. After I checked in to the salon I was preparing to wait outside when my stylist popped out right in time to tell me she was ready. She was very experienced and intelligent, going into detail about what she was doing with my hair. At first, I was hesitant about all the pampering, but ended up enjoying it. The staff were all very kind to me and made me feel comfortable. I usually hate having my hair cut, but now Im looking forward to returning. I dont think Ill get my hair cut anywhere else for the time being. Happy to have found this place.

The franchise owner is usually on site and takes great pride in his business accomplishment. He knows customers by name and remembers small details months later.In addition to great service and friendly people, there is a unique culture that makes 18/8 more than just a great place to get a hair cut or grooming services. They support a local brewery and treat you to complimentary refreshments, including beer, to those old enough to enjoy one.Pricing is fair for the level of service you receive and once you visit, you will want to share the experience with your family and friends.Reserve your spot early as they are usually booked at least a week in advance. Also, be sure to promptly arrive for appointments and if necessary, cancel as far in advance as possible. I unfortunately learned that lesson the hard way and probably wont be back.Yet, I still think it is one of the best places for a guys haircut and would recommend 18/8 to anyone who wants consistent quality and service.

I had to change my review because I started going here a year ago and since then, all of the stylists have just become lackluster. I got a haircut today and it wasnt a bad cut, but the person doing it was very sloppy and unprofessional. She took more time using the hairdryer to blow off her station than on my hair. On top of that, for the price I paid for the haircut and beard trim, I really feel as if I can get the same results elsewhere for a fraction of the money. The beard is uneven, I have a fair amount of knicks from the cut, and the staff compared to normal was very unprofessional except the lady in the front. It hasnt been the same since Covid hit and until my old stylist comes back, I dont know if I will be coming back anymore.

I brought my son here three years ago and Immediately I could see he felt better in his new style. They made him feel like he was worth a good haircut and listened to what he thought about his hair. The finished cut had all of us saying, “whoa Buddy- you are handsome”. We have taken him to a few different stylists here at 18/8 and all of his cuts have been awesome. In 3 years of cuts once a month not one has been bad. Looking back I wish we had found it sooner.He loves the staff and the attention he gets here.Sent my husband a while ago and he came home looking great too.. We love this place!

I started going here because my stylist was hired to work here (she previously worked her own salon). Shes since retired to care for her newborn, but I stayed with 18/8 because I liked the atmosphere and price. Not many salons will offer you a free drink before your appointment, after all. All the stylists Ive worked with have been incredibly professional and talented so you cant go wrong there. The hot towel treatment that comes standard with the styling feels great too!

Always an amazing experience. They treat you like family and make sure you are cared for every single step of the way. If you value looking good, and having that process go as smoothly and comfortably as possible, this is the place for you. I have been going for years and wont stop anytime soon.

I’ve been going here to keep my long hair clean and trimmed for awhile. Recently I went in with the long hair I had for 3 years, a pretty rough beard, and wasn’t really sure of what style I wanted. I just showed them a few ideas and said “do what you think will look best”. I came out with an ultra smooth shave and fresh clean modern cut. I also told Ferrera I was donating my hair so she braided the hair nice and neatly and put the cut off braids into envelopes for me for convenience. This is my go to place and with my new cut I will continue to go here to maintain the new look. Mind you, this was all done the morning right before my wedding too, that’s how confident and comfortable I am with these folks at 18|8! 😎👍.

Ive been going to Allison for a few months now and shes been awesome! I was a little hesitant making the transition to a salon as ive been a barbershop guy my whole life, but it was one of the best decision ive ever made! Always on time and clean so getting a haircut during a lunch break is a breeze. Shes very knowledgeable and friendly and has made great recommendations on products and upkeep. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be going back!

The haircut was okay, but not better than Sports Clips where you get a hot towel and treated with kindness for a lot less.

No gimmicks here - just excellent customer service and qualified stylists. The stylist listened to what I wanted, offered his expertise and helped me decide what styling products to use on his hair. Treat yourself! Life is too short and there is nothing wrong with enjoying a beer while someone is crafting your mop into something with style. Bethany has a knack for it. She has repeatedly molded my overgrown curly flop into something sharp looking. I definitely enjoy my time there. I cant recommend her enough.

Last minute changes to a wedding date and Casey was able to get the groom and 4 groomsmen in for shave, haircuts and beard trims. They did a fantastic job. Darnell took the groom from scruffy to Wow! One groomsman said he would definitely become a regular. Thanks for a job well done!

I have been frequently going to 18/8 for about two years now and have been satisfied every time. Haircuts are generally a treat myself activity for me and they do a great job at living up to their name. Bethany always gives me the cut I expect and turns my vague instructions into a great haircut. I would change my haircut dramatically and have no doubt she’d make it look great. Missing a couple visits isn’t a big deal, as the cuts grow out and maintain their style. On top of that, it always is extremely relaxing to be greeted with a beer and friendly conversation after work. I am very picky about who cuts my hair and 18/8 has continually earned my business.

Had much higher expectations. The service is good, but I personally dont think its a good value for money. Its good idea for gifting your spouse and if you have deals. Service is of good quality as well but I dont think its priced appropriately.

REQUEST BETHANY!!!Being new to the Cincinnati area, I was skeptical of paying $40 for a cut. I thought I’d check it out and see the difference of quality. Bethany cut my hair and suggested a fade, and I told her to do her thing. Next thing you know I had a new barber and my fade looked incredible. Her outgoing personality and quirkiness really added to the experience. I have been going to Bethany for my hair cut ever since and she always does amazing. 10/10 Best barber in the area for sure!

I seriously leave 18/8’s breaking necks because I have the greatest person cutting my hair. I can be as outlandish as I want and my hairstylist just goes “okay, we can do that” then she exceeds my expectations every single time. Doesn’t matter if it’s coloring or a hair cut. Then I proudly walk around and when I get compliments I always brag about her like I’m being endorsed. Been going here for 3+ years. I’ve never left disappointed. I go every two weeks.

This experience with eighteen|eight was less than stellar to say the least. I had arrived slightly early for my appointment only to be stuck in line for 10 minutes before I could get somebody’s attention to let them know I had an appointment.I’m guessing that Allison mistook the delay for my own tardiness and rushed me back to the chair (without even a introduction). She asked what I wanted and I told her that I just needed a trim and showed her a picture of the last time it was cut requesting the same. Trying to lighten the mood I attempted to engage in some basic pleasantries, but to no avail. In her haste Allison had managed not only to incorrectly identify the part even after I had showed her, but it also managed to ruin the layering already in place. No time for hot towels or other pleasantries it was time for her to move onto the next customer as I walked up to the front. To their credit the receptionist did seem concerned by my feedback.As I’m now off to schedule a triage with GQ I’m now lighter 40 dollars (plus tax!) for what looks like a 7$ haircut on a bad day and being forced to visit another shop to fix the work in place. Overall this was a very bad experience from all areas of customer service.
