I love living here! Gaslight Properties has responded quickly to all of my questions and maintenance issues. Their staff is very friendly! The location is outstanding! I love that, once I’m home from work, I don’t have to get in my car to go to the grocery, pharmacy, hardware store, or dozens of independently owned restaurants! I live paces away from the coolest movie theater in town, as well :) My neighbors, and the Ludlow community, are awesome!!! If you’re on the Bohemian side and want to live somewhere where diversity isn’t just tolerated, but celebrated, you will LOVE it!

My husband and I lived at the Whitfield for 3 years. In July 2020, we developed a leak in our ceiling coming from the roof. When we moved out a year late in June 2021, the leak had not been fixed. We called and emailed management numerous times without them responding to us. We were not informed of progress on the situation. We were assured multiple times that the issued had been fixed only to have it leak again. Despite this leak impacting our ability to use our space and ruining a couch we owned, they were incredibly unwilling to help us. They gave us a free month of rent (to make up for 12 months of inconvenience and property damage) and then acted like we should be grateful.On top of all of this, we received a letter from them more than 60 days prior to our lease ending informing us that they had rented our unit to another person and were not able to renew our lease which technically was a violation of their own terms. They then tried to get us to move out early so they could fix the ceiling issue they had failed to fix for a year.When we finally moved out they took money out of our security deposit for cleaning toilets and a microwave that we cleaned regularly.If I had the choice between living in my car and living in another property managed by Gaslight properties, I would choose my car. Never in my life have dealt with a more unprofessional and disorganized company.

I had lived in their apartment for almost 10 years! Recently, their management has improved. They respond to the maintenance request quickly and get jobs done well. And after I moved out, all the deposit was returned! Although the building was quite old, the rent was relatively cheaper compared to the other ones. I was satisfied, thanks.

Ive been with Gaslight for 3 years and my experience was great! I did have some weird neighbors every once in a while but the property itself, including the staff and management was on point. The credit in large part goes to Kristina who was always prompt, understanding and helpful, every time I needed. Its a bunch of people with good intentions that just have to spend a part of their time dealing with weird or problematic tenants every now and then.Nonetheless, l would recommend Gaslight. And a big thanks to Kristina!

As for myself I never experienced any problems concerning my apartment. Problems were fixed in a timely manner. My only complaint is my rent seems to be raised every two years. That being said, I have no problem recommending Gaslight Properties.

JJ has been a delight to work with- and we haven’t even moved in yet! She has been so responsive and accommodating from the moment we reached out. Every question we had was answered quickly and in great detail. She has worked with while resolving some moving logistics and unforeseen delivery snafus (how many places would keep an early delivered package safe for a resident that hasn’t moved in yet?!) to make sure we are attended to. The level of care has been remarkable and I can’t wait to move it at the end of this month!

I honestly wouldn’t rent from this company again. It was a very interesting experience. My roof was leaking due to a bad roof. Then it took them months to come and fix the ceiling! I had to call several times and then threaten to put my rent into escrow to make them finally come and fix it.I would like to send a great rating out for the new maintenance guy Todd! He was excellent and well mannered. Was very responsive, he was the one who finally came out and made things right. So Todd hopefully the company is treating you well! I give you dear sir 5+ stars! Don’t live in the Jonathan building on Ludlow unless you want to live with roaches and worry about gas leaks and dying in your sleep. Moved here one year ago. Place was filthy too the day I moved in. Didn’t even spend one night there, ended up staying with a friend for a week and a half and scrambled to find a new apartment. Gaslight said they would charge me 2 months rent if I breached contract. Luckily ended up getting out of it because I had a lawyer send them a threatening email 🤪 For real though, don’t rent through Gaslight. They were perfectly fine with charging me to live in a roach infested unsafe apartment.

Ive been a tenant with Gaslight for more than a year at the time of writing this review and wanted to provide a glimpse into my experience with them so far.First, JJ L. has been an absolute joy to work with over this time — shes very dedicated to helping tenants however she can, whether thats just by answering questions (I tend to ask a lot of them), letting tenants know about things going on around the property, helping with package deliveries, or anything else. Shes eager to help you!Second, I love living in my Gaslight apartment. Its a newer building, very well insulated (so its not just energy efficient, but also quiet), and the amenities (e.g., new appliances including dishwasher and washer/dryer, secured parking garage) are excellent.Third, Ive had nothing but good experiences with Gaslights maintenance team. Every time Ive submitted a request, even if its something as simple as changing a light bulb in the oven, its been taken care of within just a few days at most. Ive used the after-hours 24/7 maintenance phone number once, and the technician came to my apartment within minutes, even though it was late at night. Also, theyre very friendly, particularly Dee and Rick!Overall, Ive lived in several apartments around the Clifton area over the past several years, and my experience with Gaslight so far has put them at the very top — best experience Ive had to date.I have no affiliation to Gaslight — I just wanted to put my experience out there because its been awesome so far!

Horrible, horrible horrible - roach infested. My son moved into a Gaslight property. About 2 weeks in he discovered roaches in his apartment, and shortly thereafter it got worse. It was clear there was a severe roach problem in the whole building. The attendant sprayed his apartment numerous times and he would be roach free for about 2 weeks and then they would come back. The refused to take care of the whole building and it was clear the whole building was infested. As my son started to experience serious health, my son filed complaints under my guidance, and finally gave notice he was moving out. With much proof of the dissatisfaction and showing he was not receiving help to solve his health issue, they came to an agreement of departure and that they would return his deposit. They never returned his deposit and now put him through a debt collector to clear his debt. He had to trash all his clothing and furniture. WARNING! DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE ALL YOUR BELONGINGS.

I live in a building with heavy smoking, domestic violence and roaches. No matter how clean I keep my apartment its roaches galore. There has been 3 times I came home to no water because several apartments were flooding due to some kind of plumbing issue. Also they allowed my apartment to flood for 3 days before the maintenance technician came. Then the maintenance technician stole from my apartment and the leasing office did nothing. I am currently in the middle of an active investigation.

Writing only to recommend KC leasing agent and K in maintenance. Would not recommend renting a unit that is currently managed by MB. . .I am writing this review to recommend KC at Gaslight Properties. She is very good at her job and goes the extra mile for her residents. Gaslight Properties, on the other hand, is not very good. Management is poor however I have had good experiences w/ K in maintenance. The management at their Northside location needs attention and a fresh leader in that job. The current one is bad.

I moved in with Gaslight properties around November. I picked it because it has working radiators for heat. But the outside was a mess. However Michelle Bowman started managing our property and things got Way better Fast.No our trash cans get emptied promptly and Pianto and Andrew kept the inside and out looking sharp.I can truly say I recommend Gaslight properties. They listen and take care of problems quickly. They make this a great place to live!Thank you to all the excellent Gaslight properties people who do outstanding Daily!!

Tenant of approximately 21 months at the time of writing this. Initial interactions with the company were adequate, however quality of service has spiraled downward over the last several months. Several situations of water to the entire building being shut off to address deteriorating plumbing, in addition to an emergency work order that took over 48 hours to even begin to address. I was unable to reside in my apartment for 3 days but was not compensated in the slightest, not even prorated rent for those 3 days. On a separate emergency work order involving leaking wastewater into my apartment there was no attempt to cleanup afterwards leaving a large volume of debris as well as residual wastewater for me to handle personally.

THIS REVIEW IS SPECIFICALLY FOR THE MAINTENANCE MAN TODD JACKSON!!I just moved into a Gilbert location and upon move in there were a few things that needed to be addressed immediately. Gaslight sent one guy who looked at one thing on the LIST and said there was probably nothing he could do about it but he would check to see what he had and come back. That was apx 11am and he never came back. I emailed the next day about it and I remembered the guy that came to fix something quickly one day I came to see the place and specifically asked for him. That is Todd Jackson. He came, fixed everything that I needed fixed (including what the other guy said couldn’t be fixed), in the same day and in a timely manner. He also saw that I had literally a ton of boxes in the hallway and asked if I needed help to break them down. I said yes and by the time I was going to do the boxes- he had already broken down ALL the boxes AND taken them to the trash. He was very knowledgeable about everything that needed to be fixed and talked me through each one to make sure I saw it was fixed and that I was satisfied. 5 stars for Todd Jackson for his efficiency, skill, time management, professionalism and help. This is the type of person a company should keep and value!

This review is pertaining to Edroy Court Apartments.In my 18 years as a tenant, I have not had a more negative rental experience.Beware of 5-star reviews! They frequently offer free or reduced rent for 5-star reviews to cover how much of a slum lord the company truly is.There were constant issues with:Mice in my apartment ( & other properties throughout the neighborhood) that were poisoned and died in the walls (filling my apartment with a smell and flies for 2 weeks)Maintenance requests (multiple calls for each issue- 6 months my garage door wouldnt close when I left, 3 months of no lights in the laundry area, never cleaning common areas, dog feces, etc.)Ignoring my disabled neighbors special needs for weeks (and staff saying they hope he just moves out). He had to borrow money from me because he was unable to cook in his own home.Two employees told me theyre trying to drive older tenants out as quickly possible (1 before I moved in 2 years ago and another within the last few months)Persistent dog feces overflow at the one receptacle for it within a quarter mile of the furthest units.I have received every penny from my security deposit for over ten years. The deductions from my security deposit from Gaslight are incredibly inflated. Among others, the statement with pictures I received from them showed that one hair on the toilet cost 30 bucks to clean. There was a total deduction of over $200 for similarly inflated cleaning costs. The maintenance staff warned me they would nickel and dime me at every turn, but by then I was already obligated by my lease.The only reason I renewed my lease the first time was because of COVID and their abnormal lease termination criteria.This entire rental experience has been unacceptable. I have not had a more negative rental experience since my first college slum. I will avoid Gaslight at all costs in the future.

10+ dead baby birds outside my door (and multiple requests to put up deterrents for the nests that are continually blown down) over the course of three months. It became the “norm” to see dead and dying baby birds right outside my door. Maintenence would only remove them after multiple requests.Silverfish infestation.So many spiders in basement and in apartment that I regularly woke up with spider bites.You can see the basement through the baseboards on the first floor. Heater doesn’t work and you can see the outside from the inside (so no insulation at all).My car was broken into while I lived here and NONE of my windows locked, despite living on the first floor in Clifton where (obviously) break-ins happen. The maintenance guy told me to “push harder” to get the windows to lock.Got charged $100 almost a month after I moved out for not flushing the toilet after cleaning and leaving unremovable stains in the tub (that were there when I moved in and marked on my move-in inspection). Oh, and apparently I didn’t do a good enough cleaning job on the fridge that HAD BUGS IN IT when I moved in. They provided Rhino insurance the “evidence” via pictures and it was LAUGHABLE.They tried to get me to renew my lease SEVEN MONTHS before it was up, which shows they want new tenants and don’t care about current ones. Three months later, I asked if I could still renew or if they’d leased it and was told they had NOT leased it, just to find out later that the intra-office communication is horrible and it HAD been leased (one week earlier, so the seven-month early request still didn’t hold water lol). I was told they’d try to work something out, then I never heard from them again.I’m glad it didn’t work out because these folks are sketchy, dirty thieves. Stay away. There are plenty other slumlords in the area who will at least keep you warm in the winter.

I had an overall great experience living in Jonathan building owned by Gaslight Property. The building is charming and was kept clean, and the management was responsive. The only reason for 4 stars is that we had a mail theft problem in the building (had several packages stolen over 2.5 years I lived here). Although I ended up terminating my lease early for personal reasons, the overall process of exiting was made quick and easy by my property manager, Michelle. At each stage of the process she was wonderfully responsive, patient, and respectful and had made a potentially stressful process easy and relaxed. I am leaving Clifton and Gaslight area with positive and warm impressions of both the landlords and the neighborhood.

From application to move in, gaslight made everything quick and easy. Chaz was very responsive and communicated via email, phone, and text to ensure I had everything I needed. There is always someone available for questions and maintenance requests are handled mainly same day. I had my mailbox fixed within 20 mins of reporting it broken. Gaslight makes sure to keep the area clean and quiet. Couldnt ask for anything more! Also, Jason from maintenance did a great job handling my request and making sure I had all info needed to maintain my new appliance. Thanks guys!

I first rented with Gaslight in August 2018. Initially there were a few ups and downs, some minor bug problems but they took care of it immediately. My second rental started in August 2019 at a different location. The apartment was spacious, well lit, no pests. Any issues we had were resolved smoothly!

Im a resident at the Clifton Manor apartment building and not only is it a beautiful historic building, but Ive been super happy with how well the grounds have been maintained since Ive lived there. Driveway and parking lots are always clear and salted anytime theres even a risk for a flurry & the trash and recycling bins area is always clean.

I would absolutely never rent from Gaslight nor recommend anyone to live on their property. They never came to fix brokenPlumbing in the apartment and whenever they sent someone to come and fix it they did not give a warning or notice. They never respond to emails and when they do they shrug it off like it was nothing. Their maintenance crew does not respect the folk who live in the building and never cleans up after themselves. Not a good experience. No one enjoys coming home to a thick layer of saw dust all over their apartment

Very pleased with my experience here with Gaslight Property. I have been a tenant of theirs for about a year and a half. I had heard horror stories of experiences from before I rented here, but I have yet to encounter any of that. I have referred friends and they are happy as well. I must say that with this current pandemic they have gone above and beyond to make their tenants feel safe and secure in their homes. They are super quick to respond to maintenance issues too. I personally plan on being with them for several more years to come.

I had a clogged drain that was giving me a lot of anxiety, afraid I wasnt going to be able to shower or bathe. Jason from Gaslight Properties was very professional and prompt to come fix the issue I was having. It took him less than 20 minutes to diagnose the issue and fix it. Mark came out and diagnosed the issue of the dishwasher correctly on day one. He stated they would order the part. Then, a few days later, they sent others to ensure it wasnt just a reset issue. It wasnt; they decided to move foward with ordering the part. Disappointely, it was the wrong part. So, they finally decided to put in a new dishwasher. Gaslight had the dishwasher delivered and installed the next day. In addition, Mark was friendly, installed the dishwasher quickly, and he didnt mind our dogs. Hoping to have him back for other work orders.

My boyfriend and I moved in At the beginning of October 2020. We love our spot, and our apartment building is very quiet. Only a quick walk to the main strip of the gaslight district. I own a business that rents from Gaslight Properties. Were located below an old apartment complex, like centuries old. We love the vibe of the space, but problems are inevitable. There has never been a problem that Gaslight hasnt fixed for us. We feel like they take care of us when we need them, and that includes the sudden smack-in-the-face of the pandemic. Theyve even spent money on renovating the a/c and plumbing. Its all good in our neighborhood.

Hello, I would like to point out and recognize some particular people. Chas, Stephanie and Katie! There are a couple more ladies, But Im sorry to say. I dont remember their names right off hand. The office location where they work is at the overlook building on Riddle Rd. Gaslight properties was the best thing that ever happened to me! I was in the process of improving my lifestyle and they completed my accomplishment. The apartment I was blessed with is very beautiful and classy! Everytime I go to their rental office to pay everyone is so kind and friendly! There was even a temporary problem with the furnace that didnt bother me too much, But I came home one day to find a large space heater sitting outside my door for me to use temporarily. This overall experience has been far beyond my expectations and I hope that life gets better for everyone as we progress past these challenging obstacles we face. I was stuck this morning. It was not a simple fix. These guys came out of nowhere, nothing asked and started helping immediately. They even got multiple guys head down in their trucks who came quickly and they all pushed me out. They pushed, they shovelled, threw ice and even kitty litter. I had a water issue ( a periodic , short lasting ceiling drip ) . It did take a couple visits for them to sort out what caused the problem , BUT it did get sorted out . Turns out the cause was in another apartment . The man who figured it out then fixed the problem in the other apartment , And fixed the damages in my ceiling . I was quite pleased .

I have lived at Clifton View apts for about 20 years. We have a beautiful view, a pool and great neighbors. Kristina who is the property manager goes above and beyond for any of our issues. I know she has many other properties to care for, but she has always been very responsive to our needs, as I am sure she is with all the other properties in her care. The whole staff that I have dealt with are polite and knowledgeable . After such a busy day due to the snow, they even had Gwendolyn deliver more salt to us at the end of the day! I know I could say more, but Kudos to Kristina, Gwendolyn, Stephanie and Chaz and any other staff that are behind the scenes, for taking good care of our Clifton View!

She kept me informed about availability of units in the building I was interested in and help me in every step of the way. She is just amazing at communication and so helping.I am absolutely happy with my new apartment and the maintenance team of Gaslight Properties. They have been so prompt with my maintenance requests. I decided to renew because the location is really good, very walkable; and the staff at the management office are friendly and responsive. Kristina Rolfes in particular is easy to work with, and she gets back to me quickly if I have a problem.

Apartment looked perfect in pictures but the floor looked like this upon moving in. Gaslight refused to repair it.The walls are extremely thin. So thin that I can even hear the neighbors walking! In addition to clanking pipes, heating system makes a shrill high pitch sound constantly making it very difficult to sleep at night even with earplugs. Since the day lease was signed, the property agent (Alaina Gaines) stopped responding to emails.

Moving from SoCal to Cincy was a bit stressful. But Alaina made it smooth. I had to do everything through email and the phone, but Alaina was very professional and was responsive. The apartment is a bit old, but that adds to the charm.

I toured 3 different units with Gaslight properties. There are different options to choose from, and the costs are affordable. I found a great studio that was clean and freshly painted. What I appreciated most was the leasing consultant I worked with, Katherine Coulson. She was really responsive and helpful. The staff at Gaslight get back to calls and emails promptly.

First of all, I should mention that 5-star ratings should be taken with a grain of salt. Gaslight offers a free months rent to those who write them 5-star reviews.The area these apartments are in is nice. The apartments themselves have some charm, and I like the wood floors. They will rent to anybody, so securing a lease is very easy.Most everything in these apartments is disgusting and doesnt work properly. Rust, mold, vermin, and cockroaches are inevitable. Gaslights approach to rust and mold is to cover it with a thick coat of white paint. Vermin and cockroaches are largely ignored. I wouldnt be surprised if there were asbestos and lead paint here. A Gaslight maintenance worker even told me once that some of the pipes in the buildings are lead.Maintenance responsiveness is hit-or-miss. Sometimes there is a really fast turnaround time, and sometimes it takes 1-2 months for maintenance to come out even for a major issue like water damage degrading our ceiling until it fell in.I would suggest renters do as much maintenance themselves as possible. Our sink leaked ever since we moved in, and I found the wrong type of washer had been used in one area. I ended up replacing most of the pipes myself because they looked 10+ years old. Everything leaks. EVERYTHING.Professionalism is also hit-or-miss, but mostly miss. The office staff is rude and incompetent. Gaslight will attempt to charge your rent twice by claiming you never paid it when you did. Then, they will threaten to evict you if you dont pay immediately. We had to start requesting a receipt with the signature of whoever accepted the payment because they did this to us 3 months in a row.The maintenance workers themselves are generally nice and are doing to best they can with the shoe string budget they have.

Have been living on the same property for 13 years now , and thoughout those years l have only relied on one guy. . After Gaslight properties took over , l have made several calls regarding different issues in my house , which lacked maintenance for years and Everytime , Nichole and her team were on it , very attentive to my needs , genuine follow up calls to ensure they got the job done right . I simply couldnt ask for a better team . Thank you ladies . Always a five star rating for a five star service

I would NOT recommend this place to those who are looking for apartments with helpful management staff, I would look elsewhere. Management does not answer service requests past 5:30pm and will not assist residents requests on the weekend. Apartments are overpriced (Whitfield) $1,200+ just for a studio and $1,400+ for a1bd in the Clifton/Gaslight area - and you still wont get a service request answered. The apartments dont offer anything special that justifies the price, its just a new building with attached garages. Even the parking spaces are overpriced and not watched by management, $40 for a parking space $85 if youre in the garage. People do not clean up after their pets and a number of people in the building smoke marijuana and cigarettes consistently. Management has done nothing about the smoke in the building, they just randomly accuse residents of smoking in their apartment and then place a notice on all doors. !!!! Most important during COIVD - I have seen the cleaning crew in the building at times without any facial protection. Save your money, the price is not worth it for the area and lack of support/help

I had a bunch of issues at my house which is the balcony blind broken, black spot on the roof at the front of my door and our coat closet door is derailed, they came in and get it all tidy up and everything! They are very professional and fast pace workers!! Hope I can see them again for more issues with my house!! Thank you Mr. Flangian and Ervin!!

The apartment wasn’t ready when my boyfriend and I moved in and was roach infested for the most part. We have several leaks in our bedroom so far and they claim to come and fix the roof three times now and now our mattress is ruined and we cant sleep in our bedroom because of the ceiling caving in. Did I mention the stove didn’t work for a month. Tub and toilet also didn’t work for 2 weeks of move in. Had to shower at a friends place.

The rent is more than what the place is worth. Michelle is the manager of property being rented, she is hard to reach and has a nasty disposition. Also when the lease was filled out none of the boxes where checked for utilities, we asked about the water( if it needed to be on in our name and was never told that we had to pay for water) so this is making the rent higher. If I was renting out properties for myself or anyone else EVERY THING THAT IS THE TENANTS RESPONSIBILITY WOULD BE OUT LINED IN THE BEGINNING! GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION BUT THIS IS SOME VERY CONFUSING MESS!
