Our AC stopped working, of course on a very hot week/weekend, and we were pressed to get it fixed considering we have a baby in our home. We called Wingate Mechanical and Michael was able to come out immediately and explain what the problem was. Unfortunately our entire system was worse for wear. Michael was very upfront and honest about the issue and made sure we completely understood the options available for our home and our price point. They were able to schedule us within two days for a new system install. Billy and Chad arrived promptly on time for our install. 10 months ago, I first needed someone to repair an outdoor faucet, I contacted Wingate and they sent someone over soon . The experience was good, the tech was very helpful who told me about their monthly plans .. As a nervous homeowner worried about home emergency repairs, I signed up for one of their monthly plans where I was assured I will be one of their preferred customers and in case of any emergency, they will help repair our issue as a priority..It seemed a good safety net.. a business that offered heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical services all..I had a peace of mind that I could call them if I ever had an emergency repair need, even though I had to pay 20$ monthly for their Silver plan ( 240$ a year) ..10 months later.. I truly had plumbing emergency, frantically I called them to request a plumber to repair .. Firstly, no plumbers were available.. They said they will call back after talking to their plumber about when they can come over to repair at the earliest..after 3 hours of waiting, I finally got a call back; the earliest they could send a plumber for emergency repair was 6 days away! Almost a week!! Talking to the customer care , it almost felt they had only 1 plumber!So much for the safety net.. anyone who had a plumbing emergency knows they cannot just wait 6 days..Truly disappointed , I always thought , signing up for their monthly subscription plan, they had your back when you needed them.. but I never been so wrong

I dont often write reviews but I like to give credit where its due. I had been using Wingate for years to service my h-vac system but was swayed by a $25.00 coupon from Bryant. Bryant came out to do my summer tune up and within 10 minutes was told that I had major problems and needed 6-8 lbs of freon,along with a leak check which was over $1000.00. Total cost close to 3k. I then called Wingate Mechanical for a second opinion. Ty Hendrickson came out and after a thorough inspection said my unit was fine and in no need of repair! I cant say enough positive things about Wingate and Ty. Ty was professional,personable,knoledgeable and extremely thorough! Wingate obviously hires quality people. I learned my lesson. You really do get what you pay for.I will not stray again. Wingate has earned my business for life! Now I have to go write a scathing review for Bryant!

Our old hot water heater stopped working and we needed a replacement. Called multiple locations for quotes....most never responded. Isaac answered the phone on the first call, excellent customer service along with Leisha who called us back multiple times to confirm different aspects of our current unit/setup. They were able to have an 80 gallon unit available to install the next day which was on a weekend/Saturday! The only other company that called back was $400 more for the same unit and couldnt get to us until the following Tuesday. Billy and Evan showed up Saturday morning early by one hour and did an excellent job getting the new unit installed and the old one removed. They were polite, professional, honest, and made sure everything was correct before leaving our home. Thanks for the excellent experience from the first call through completion of the project! Apartment heat went out and my first person I came in contact was Tyler and when he got my thermostat working, he noticed my daughter and went in basement to check and run a test for carbon monoxide. Told me my furnace was shot and didn’t leave until he got in contact with my apartment manager. Billy and Chad came the next day and got the job done, they were VERY RESPECTFUL AND REALLY CARED. There is never an ideal time for an HVAC failure or a hot water heater failure. Because of these failures in our house, we have had two opportunities to work with Wingate Mechanical.Three years ago the AC went out. Chris Wingate was kind enough to come to our house, temporarily fix the issue, then assisted with the sizing and other necessities of getting the AC installed. We opted to go ahead and get the furnace installed as well.Though an investment, the installation has saved us on gas and electric bills.Fast forward to this past weekend when our hot water heater died. We were able to get in touch with Chris, he messaged his staff and we were contacted early Monday morning to let us know an install crew was on the way.Once here, my wife reports the installers, Billy and Braydon were professional, kept her updated on their progress, explained the problems found on the outgoing heater and overall were a pleasure to work with.As home owners we will definitely be using Wingate Mechanical for our future needs. I hired Wingate Heating Cooling Plumbing & Electrical to service one of my homes I rent out in the Cincinnati area. This company really has it together. From the initial phone call where I reported our system going out, all the way to the actual repair process, I give them 5 stars. They were friendly, caring, on time and responsive, and they even educated and explained to me what was broken so I could decide if it made more sense to repair or replace the unit. Wingate for the win! I searched over 10 hvac companies in Cincinnati on Google and came across Wingate because of their 5 star rating and I was not disappointed! 2 weeks prior to Wingate coming out, I was stuck in a blazing home because a technician from another company came out and advised my a/c unit needed to be replaced and it would be $4k! I was in awe, but decided to call Wingate and was first amazed at the customer service I received when I called in to inquire about pricing. My service technician, Ty came out the very same day and he only had time to inspect the unit before I received an emergency call and had to leave the home, which he was very understanding of. I returned home that same evening to an ice box and I was very ecstatic because Ty only inspected the unit and hadn’t performed any maintenance at that point.Ty came back out the very next day and explained my entire system to me and preformed some routine maintenance and updates to my furnace. My a/c has been working excellently for the past month and I signed up for the yearly service plan, so I’m looking forward to Wingate coming out in the fall to make sure everything is running smoothly for the winter. I’m so amazed by Wingate’s service that I forgot to mention that the rates are beyond reasonable for the quality of service and attention I received and it was definitely less than half the cost of a new a/c!

We replaced a 1980s A/C and oil heat with a whole new heat pump and A/C system complete with humidifier, air cleaning system and a new thermostat. Noah, Andy, Billy and Chad were on time, attentive to detail and cleanliness and finished a HUGE job in 1 day. They made sure they went over every aspect of programming and maintaining the components, the filter sizes, etc. before they left. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend them!

Ty came out to inspect our AC problem and was very courteous and knowledgeable. He came out within hours of our initial call to the company. He explained the issues he was seeing and answered all our questions. They gave us a full list of the different options to either repair or replace our system. It was a great experience.

Our home was purchased with the original Trane HVAC system, which was 22 years old. Wingate Mechanical promptly arrived and Chris Wingate (owner) gave us multiple options as to what we could do. Ultimately, we decided to go with a complete replacement with a new Daikin FIt system. Chris answered all our questions and helped us understand the value of what we were purchasing. Two days later, three technicians arrived with the unit (Noah, Chad and Brenden). They were extremely professional and friendly. Chad went as far as to find a small football and frisbee for my two year old son. They were sure to protect all our flooring with mats while removing the existing unit and installing the new one, all the time explaining exactly what they were doing. Upon completion of the unit, they walked us through operating it and answered all our questions. The work area was left cleaner than when they arrived. Overall, very impressed with their craftsmanship and professionalism and would recommended them to anyone. Great small business that you can tell truly takes pride in their work.

There was a leak in the furnace room and I Incorrectly assumed it was related to that system.I was referred to Chris Wingate by my brother. I left a message at their office about midnight. His office called In the morning and I was very happy they were able to arrange to get a technician out to me same day. I was told between noon and 2pm. And the tech arrived within the time window at 1:30. And I was given a “heads up call” when he was headed my way.It ended up being a cold water line. I very impressed that Tyler was able to figure out what going on within the first few minutes of arrival.the line was only 1/2” (they stock 3/4” on their trucks) so he put together an action plan, called office for quote, arranged to get a second tech out to help him replace a copper water line that had corroded. This company is AMAZING!! My unit made some funny noises and a bunch of smoke came out. They had a tech in our area and he came as quick as he could. (Took about 10Minutes)Once he discovered the problem- he explained it to me in full detail. (HVAC stuff makes me glossy eyed so he really broke it down for me) The cap on my roof came off/was moved from recent storms and flooded my unit making it inoperable. Upon telling me the cost I started trying to secure financing. Was only approved for about half of the cost. While I was busy trying to secure the rest of the financing he comes back to me and says they had talked with the bank and got us approved for all the financing. I was in tears. After a few rough years as a home owner I just needed a break and Tyler worked to get me that break. Gave me the invoice with total cost, I asked if I could upgrade my thermostat and his financing department threw it in for FREE!Even though this was classified as an emergency visit He didn’t charge for the visit - which he was still in every right to do so. Giving me another break.I don’t know ANY company that will work as hard as he did to make sure that I didn’t have to go the summer without AC until I could save up the money. I don’t know any company that would be willing to bend over backwards to make sure they leave with a solution everyone is happy with under these conditions.And I damn sure don’t know any company that sees a homeowner who just needed to catch a break and find multiple ways to give them that break.You have made a lifelong customer out of myself and my sister today. No other person or company will ever handle our HVAC needs moving forward.Thank you soooo much!

The 25 year old water heater in my house started to fail. I called Wingate, and they were able to come out in less than 48 hours to replace it. It wasn’t an emergency call as we still had hot water. They were very professional on the phone and during install. I was pleasantly surprised that they had several drop cloths to cover all floors in my home from front door all through basement. What really impressed me was when I sent a picture of the finished install because I had a question after the technician left, they said they wanted to send a technician back out because the supervisor noticed that one pipe didn’t look perfectly straight. A less reputable company would’ve just left it as is. I would use Wingate again definitely!

Then only a day later they were at my house replacing my furnace and Ac so that I could be comfortable and not have to wait. Our oil furnace went out and I called Wingate Mechanical. Chris came out and we discussed options. We decided to go with a Daikin heat pump system, and also had the ducts/vents cleaned. Super happy with the timeliness of response. I have two very small children so when my AC went out, I needed assistance quickly. Not only that, the serviceman was so friendly, kind, and also clean...that’s very important to me. I didn’t even have to ask for them to put shoe covers on, it was done. Everything was explained to me and I never felt rushed. Will be using from now on.

Wow wow wow ..... these guys were fantastic front start to finish... true professionals all the way around from the office staff to the team that put our new ac and furnace in. We couldn’t be happier with our entire experience with Wingate. Our ac went out (very old) and we called wingate. They came out with in 24 hours. We didn’t even want to mess with the repair because we knew it was time to get a new one. We were presented with several options and never felt pressured at all. All of our questions were answered, we were given time to make a decision, and once we picked the one that was best for us we were able to get on the schedule. The day the guys showed up they were clean, professional, did an amazing job, filled us in on what they were doing, how to use our new ac and furnace, cleaned up very well, and made sure we were 100% satisfied before leaving. They were friendly to our kids and dog. We can’t say enough good things about our experience. Highly highly recommended!!!
