I cant say enough good things about Schibi Heating & Cooling. Ive used their services for years and they have always been helpful. Last night (a Thursday) around 10:00 PM, I discovered that the AC wasnt working. The weekend forecast called for temperatures in the upper 80s/lower 90s. I called Schibi the next morning (Friday) at 8:05 AM, expecting that since it was going into a weekend that they probably wouldnt be able to schedule me until next week sometime. But I was pleasantly surprised because they sent Steve out to my house by 9:15 AM, and the AC was fixed by 10:00 AM. Steve was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and timely. This is why Ive been a customer of Schibi Heating and Cooling for the last twenty years. They are outstanding.

My A/C quit working 2 weeks after having another company come out and do a semi-annual checkup. Schibi came out the next morning and found the problem and fixed it in a matter of minutes. They were very friendly and professional. It’s clear to me that they sincerely care about the customer experience. I would definitely recommend them! Excellent service!

I had a new central AC unit installed in March. Today Mike S. came to do the “start-up” since the weather was now warm enough. He was a friendly and efficient technician. Mike checked my filter, checked the temperature drop and added coolant to the system. I liked that he explained what he was doing. The unit cools great! Thanks Mike.

Only complaint is on scheduling. They call to confirm and if you don’t answer or call back quick enough you are skipped. Maybe they can charge people for missed appointments since it’s difficult to answer when I am in meetings for work. Mike S did a great job servicing our AC and was very thorough and walked through what the work he performed and offered his recommendations.

My partner & I are new homeowners & we called Schibi Heating & Cooling to come out, assess the current HVAC systems, perform routine maintenance, and just kind of touch base/get a better understanding of what we have, how to operate maintain, etc... Schibi scheduling (say that 5x fast!) was simple! Called up >> talked to a human >> quick to get an appt >> they took background on the makes/models we have at the house so they could show up more prepared. Seriously, everything youd want! Received communication the night before/morning of about the technicians arrival time/etc... He was 1 min early! Masks were worn. Felt safe, friendly, & professional. Questions were encouraged, explanations were clear. 10/10 would recommend, and we will be going with SCHIBI for our yearly maintenance & (cross-fingers) any unplanned HVAC emergencies. SCHIBI RULES - THEYRE PROS!

It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but I felt I had to for this. First, my issue. My AC and heat would cycle on and off (every 5 seconds sometimes). I called Apollo, who said they dont work on condos. My parents, who have been customers of Schibi since the 80-90s swore by the company and suggested I called them. I did, explaining that my AC and heat keep cycling on and off (the fan shuts on and off no matter the temperature). They said it would be a flat fee of $84.00 to come look at it plus additional charges for any parts or repairs. Day of the service, the tech comes in, talks to me about the issue, looks at my unit in the house (heat pump/fan) then proceeds outside where my A/C unit is. He comes back and says that my A/C unit is OUT of refrigerant and it was probably leaking. He said it wouldnt be worth replacing since its an old unit (old refrigerant) and said I should call Schibi back for estimates on replacement. He then charges me $144.50, 62.50 of that for repairs. According to the statement, he completed NO REPAIRS. First, I never said he could do repairs, and secondly, and the most important fact is diagnosing my AC only has ZERO to do with the fan cycling during heat cycles. I didnt think of this until he left, so I called them back and the dispatcher sat for 10 minutes arguing with me about how the unit being low on refrigerant is causing the problem when she clearly is missing the part where the heat cycles too, which is a completely separate unit from my AC downstairs. Eventually she just reschedule the guy to come back out. They made an appointment for Monday. It took off work to ensure I was there during their window. And they didnt show or call for their own appointment! I call later that day and the lady proceeds to blame it on me or the person that took the appointment. ZERO accountability. She rescheduled me for a third time, but I never answered their calls again. I will be making a complaint with the BBB as well as possibly fighting the $62.50 charge that I DID NOT authorize (even though he didnt complete ANY repairs. What a joke of a company. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Needed accessories for duct. Had what I needed after unsuccessful attempts via internet

I was having a loud buzzing noise when the temperature reached below 30. The fan blowing, not defrosting the unit. I got Steve. He did a diagnostics test on my outside system, said there was nothing wrong, CHARGED ME $207, and 15 minutes later he was gone. I had to make him look at my thermostat. He tried to dismiss me a couple times but, kicking and screaming, he finally did go to the thermostat. I am a female. It is just another case of trying to charge a woman for things that weren’t done. I called schibi up to discuss the charges. They claimed they would have to get his ticket (even though he left a copy of his “ticket” with me and I read it to her), promising to call and talk about it “in the morning”. The only thing that happened the next morning is a charge on my bank account for $207 worth of work STEVE. didn’t even do. AND my outside unit is still making a loud noise. Thank god I have dual heat or this joker would have left me without heat, without money to pay for it since I got scammed out of $200. I would NOT recommend.UPDATE: I called schibi back when the sound was present AGAIN, stood by the unit and let them hear it. They were more interested in talking about the review. I told them that I would rather have someone come back out and make it right with me instead of talking about the review. He told me he wasn’t going to send anyone out. (They promised to come back within 30 days). I called Schmidt’s. They came out the next morning, found the problem. It was a bad shroud that had been recalled and therefore was under warranty. The man from Schmidt’s (Mark-he’s excellent) stayed the first time for 2 1/2 hours, charging me $150. He also suggested that I get a new dual fuel thermostat. I bought the one he suggested. He came out, fixed the shroud, hooked up my thermostat and charged me $90. A $240 fix cost me $450 thanks to schibi.

I would like to let you know that Mike went above and beyond to make sure that I had A/C today.My A/C went out during the night and the receptionist was able to get Mike over earlier than originally scheduled. He was very professional and took the time to explain everything. When he started having issues getting the old part out so he could replace the new one, he had to go to the store to get a saw as he didnt have one with him. After that didnt work, he took it home and fixed it there. He then came back and installed it, so I would have A/C tonight! What a great guy!I hope Schibi realizes what a stellar employee they have!Would highly recommend this company!

Weve had Schibi install and service our HVAC system for the past 13 years. They provide outstanding service. We live in the East side of town, but they never complain about the drive. They have always honored our warranties and service contract without question. Highly recommended.I would especially like to commend technician Mike S., who recently did our annual tune up, and discovered that I was installing the humidifier filters incorrectly, preventing the system from operating efficiently.He was very courteous and professional.

Our A/C went out on the hottest week of the year (of course). I left a message late in the evening, someone was at our door at 9am the next morning, and our A/C with new compressor and coils is up and running 2 days later. Everyone involved was great and did the job professionally.

Small, local business that was recommended by father in law, who used to sell to them wholesale. Used them three times now, twice for heating, once for A/C. Pretty quick service, good techs, didnt try to sell me on anything, just repaired the system. Now that the systems are a little older, tempted to prepay for maintenance, to avoid the oopses of the first cold or hot day (maint. plans automatically go to head of the queue for them). Nothing big, an AC motor capacitor, bad flame sensor, pressure sensor tripping from a clogged drain line. Had an opportunity to oversell me on A/C because the fluid was a little yellow, but were honest and said it was good and dry, and overcharged if anything. Less than $250 out of pocket for the two heating visits. Mike S. is a good tech, and Ziggy from two years ago as well. They cover from Rising Sun to Madeira to Brookville.

I would like to thank Craig and Schibi heating and Cooling for going out of their way to get my air conditioning up and running in time for the upcoming hot Fathers day weekend. Steve even got a temporary room AC unit hooked it up in her bedroom so she would be comfortable until the new unit was installed!Monday morning they arrived and installed both the new furnace and AC. I have used Schibi for service calls both at a house on Jessup and the house I have lived in for 10 years. Over off Thompson many of us have oil furnaces. Not all technicians are the same when it comes to an oil furnace. I used Schibi because they send the right guys to fit the job.This past summer I decided to get some idea of what a new furnace and a central a/c would cost. Some places would have sold me an air pump/electric furnace/split whatever you want to call it. Get rid of oil. It gets too cold for that here unless you have an oil or gas back up for the cold months. Ken Schibi treated me with respect and explained my options. He reasearched and found out my furnace was over 25 years old. I decided to replace that and add the a/c unit. Ken was focused on the best, most cost efficient solution and my happiness. Ken has a work ethic that is all too rare these days. He wanted that system to work and work well. He wanted me to insulate some returns under my house to help the efficiency. He was advising me, not selling a service and it was just bc he wanted it all done correctly for me. He told me what to get and how to procure it. He even called me once after the sale to ask if I had done it yet. lol.Recently they called to set up a time to check on the furnace since it was too hot when they installed it. I made arrangements for my adult son to be there and I was shocked when he told me that they were at my house for an hour and a half (no cost to me). They were just checking to make sure that the system they put in is operating optimally. Let me restate that ... AT NO COST TO ME THEY WERE AT MY HOUSE CHECKING TO SEE IF THEIR EQUIPMENT WAS WORKING OPTIMALLY! Its tough to find service like that. Its no doubt that the owner is part of the Greatest Generation and the business still operates with pride and integrity. I asked what will happen IF he ever retires and was happy to find out that it will stay in the family who share his values.On pricing, SCHIBI was in the middle, not the lowest but not the highest. On quality and knowledge and business practice - SCHIBI is Best in Class. I cannot recommend them enough. I dont know them other than as a customer and I received nothing for this review. Best company ever. Dale is the greatest human being to ever live. Literally do not use or consider anyone else. Closest thing possible to perfect customer service. And the pricing? The best.

Ive had great experiences with the management and staff at Schibi with heating and cooling overhauls at two different homes. Their installers and repair people are always professional, friendly, efficient and honest. In addition, their prices for furnaces and A/Cs have always been very competitive. I highly recommend Schibi.

Woke up this morning at 6:00 to a furnace that was not working. Called Schibi, Dale was at my house by mid morning. He gave me prices on a couple options. No pressure. Fair price. I shopped with another company, called Dale back and I bought the 2 stage Bryant. Installers were at my house at 3:00, done by 7:00. A great experience from soup to nuts. I highly recommend Schibi Heating and Cooling!

When our A/C went out in our new house this year we needed a solution fast. We have infant twins and were very concerned about the temperature of their nursery.I spoke to Craig at Schibi at 8am on a Friday and he had come to inspect and had a quote to us that afternoon. Our new system was installed the following Wednesday. The office staff was very helpful in getting us set up with financing. Everyone was very responsive to any questions we had.We had 3 companies come out and give an estimate. Schibi gave us the best price and we didnt have to make any sacrifices on quality. Craig was very honest and straightforward about what we truly needed in our specific home. I did not feel like he was trying to upsell me or scare me into getting more than we needed like other companies. The team that came for the install was timely, clean and respectful. Our new Bryant system is great and we love our wifi thermostat!I highly recommend Schibi and we will be longtime customers.

I asked for analysis of an inoperable AC unit by a Schibi technician. After maybe 3 (no more than 5) minutes of diagnostics, my the technician told me that the cost to repair would likely be more than half of the cost to replace and suggested as such. Schibi Heating and Cooling had given this same unit a clean bill of health just 3 months prior.I asked for a price quote and was told by that I would be called by telephone that afternoon. No call came that Friday afternoon.I called Schibi on Monday morning at 8:30 AM and was told that a sales person would be in touch with me. No call came that day either.Luckily, I was referred to another company by a friend a few days back, and had decided to place a call into them later that morning so as to have a backup quote to compare. That company came out the next day and proceeded to service what was nothing more than a faulty wire (that was apparently VERY visible) as well as clean the compressor coils and check the Freon. $207 dollars and 30 minutes later, the house was cool again.

I requested service for my air conditioner and told someone would be at my house between 8-noon. Which is the norm. However, noon rolls around and no call from the company alerting me that the tech was delayed. I get that there will be delays, but not calling the client to give updates is unacceptable! I made 2 calls to the company, the lady was rude, disrespectful and frankly didnt care. The tech finally shows up at 1:35 and didnt even apologize for not showing up between the allotted hours nor did he appolize for not calling to give an estimated ETA. The tech tells me I need a new air-conditioner and the salesman will contact me, he has never called!!!!! Then charged me $82!! They need to learn how to communicate with their customers, keep clients informed of delays and not have the client be the one calling for an update that they themselves dont even know!! Suggestion... Have the tech call the client!!

Their service person, Mike, worked diligently on the furnace until the problem was identified, put in a temporary fix, and then came back and put in a durable fix for the problem (broken intake pipe).

I highly recommend this company! Weve received superior customer service from everyone weve come into contact with from the office staff to the technicians and installers to the owner of the company.
