Unfortunately, the woman at the front desk had a bit of an attitude with myself and the other 4 people waiting to pay because the credit card machine was moving slower than usual.On a lighter note, my vehicle runs great (which is the most important factor).I appreciate the gentleman I spoke on the phone with the few times with updates with my vehicle (very professional, pleasant with a thorough explanation of parts, labor, cost, etc.) though.

I wish they would put everything back like I had it when I got there. For example radio back on radio. Your board on your speed , not left on oil life. Before I leave I always have to get the young man that works on my car to change everything back for me. Otherwise this is a great place to go to they do a wonderful job.

I have gone here several times and they always provide excellent service and work. If they can’t fix it they will refer you to someone who can. Highly satisfied every time I go there. I trust them completely. They talked us out of replacing parts and explained clearly why it wasnt necessary yet. They are respectful of our time and of providing an accurate estimate for anything big. We switched from our old mechanic when the guy we trusted retired and have been just as happy here. They did an amazing job diagnosing my car “shaking” when accelerating. They rebalance and aligned my vehicle for little charge and were very honest about the other options I had. They told me there were 3 possible better fixes that would cost and $800 but didn’t seem that my car needed it. My one complaint is that they did not let me know within the hour my car was ready, which costs me missed time at work. However 5/5 stars for customer service, honesty, and workmanship.

The staff were very nice. It cost $115. For a diagnostic. I thought that was to high. They did find the problem was just a hose off. They put it back on but then informed me that I needed work on my back brake. I knew I needed new back brakes but they also replaced the rooters, and shocks and springs. I thought the price for parts was reasonable but the hourly labor was high. I don’t know where they had to test drive my car but they ran out almost a half tank of gas. Maybe this is normal for around here. This is my first time getting work done on my car sense moving here from Kentucky. I had a personal friend who did my work and I know he would have not charged this much. But, such is life. I may or may not use them again. I will look into other places before I decide.

In December 2016, I had a feeling that there were many problems with my 2006 van. Two of my good friends recommended that I take my van in to Jim’s Auto Clinic because it was conveniently located to me and because my friends said that Jim’s would be the best place with fair pricing to have them perform a thorough bumper to bumper check up on it. I was correct when Phil, the Service Writer called me to let me know that there were multiple problems with it, (to the tune of $7,000.00 all total) and he suggested that I get a new car!Since that time in 2016, I’ve taken my SUV in for a few very minor things, such as checking that my tires were properly inflated, for some sound advice and to put my rear windshield wiper back on. Everyone at Jim’s Auto Clinic has always been very helpful and courteous. Since 2016 they’ve never charged me for any service that they’ve done, which I was very surprised by, as most other places would’ve charged me just to do the simplest thing! Last week was the first time that I had my oil changed by Jim’s Auto Clinic, which is not only more convenient for me, but also much less expensive rather than going to the dealership where I purchased my SUV! A couple other things that I like about Jim’s Auto Clinic are: 1)that their facility is always clean and tidy and it has always been this way (even before the pandemic); and 2)that they make donations to very worthy causes.

I just went in to ask about an oil change. The lady.... her name was Chrissy at the front desk was completely unprofessional with me. She rolled her eyes didnt answer my question didnt want to help me. Just because of this they lost a $96 sale. I dont understand how they can support and stand by employees who treat customers in this manner. I left feeling very angry that someone would just dismiss me. If she hates her job she should go find something that makes her happy. Jims auto clinic its not benefiting from keeping her in employed.

Our car was in desperate need for some suspension work as it was becoming more unnerving and potentially unsafe to drive. Id known about the issues for awhile and wanted to get the work done before the weather began to change.I drove to 4 different shops in the Colerain area to get estimates to better understand the cost of work. The last place I went to was Jims Auto Clinic.I chose Jims Auto Clinic because Id met Mark personally back in July 2020, and Ive also had many interactions with Janet since then. These meetings were not related to my car repairs but for something else. Even so, I got to learn much more about the kind of service the team provides their customers and held them in high regard.Moreover, when I asked for the estimate for the work, not only was it well within those Id obtained elsewhere, but also they were going to accommodate me with a loaner car to use while mine was being repaired.When I returned to pick up the car, the late-afternoon staff was very helpful in making sure I understood the warranties. They also provided me with a new customer gift card toward future work!Our car feels much more sturdy and durable now that the suspension work has been done, and I and my family have a much greater peace of mind when we use it!UPDATE, 10/23/2020:I have never been to an auto repair place that communicates as effectively with car owners as Mark and the team at Jims Auto Clinic does! We have been coming to Jim’s Auto Clinic for about 1 year now after being fed up with the poor service and quality of repairs at one of the local Honda dealerships. Having known about Jim’s Auto for many decades, it was worth trying to see if they would be able to take care of us and our Honda Odyssey.They have done a great job every time and we feel more confident in the repairs that are done on our vehicle. The prices are reasonable and the transparency of what is truly critical is there. I would highly recommend choosing Jim’s Auto Clinic for servicing your vehicle!

Completed work on my car. Work was completed fine. Issue I have is excessive cost. Went there vs the dealer but I think the dealer might have been less expensive- oil change $40 for normal oil. Market value $22- change one fan belt $163. Nissan belt is $47.00 this and hour of labor or less equates to $122?- replaces upper and lower radiator hoses. Delco price is $11.8 Lower and $10.4 upper. Cost $293 thus equates to $40 in parts and $40 in fluid and $$210 in about 1 hour labor- replace thermostat. Price for new Thermostat is $35 yet I was charged $254. And since the hoses were replaced no fluid. That is over $200 labor for about 1 hour of workOverall I would not return. All prices of material can be seen on Rock Auto using the premium brands.

Prices arent listed. I paid $15 more (even with a discount) than I had paid for the exact same service back in my home state at another small business mechanic. No shuttle service nor a great reception area. I wont be returning. If you are going to charge that much Id expect better perks and feel more valued.

I was quoted around $200 for back breaks over the phone. My Lexus dealer in Louisville, KY wanted $348. When I recieved a call, I was told $500. 👀 Sounds like I better stick with my dealer. Or maybe because Im from out of town.

Weve been taking our cars here for the past 4 years and weve had so many positive experiences. I especially appreciate this as a woman. Ive been to other mechanics who wouldnt take me seriously or would try to rip me off. But at Jims they never try to convince me to make unnecessary repairs, they explain the work theyve done and give reasonable suggestions of when future repairs might be needed, and they never overcharge. The whole team at Jims is awesome. We recommend them to all our friends. Once they fixed something and then we realized that it wasnt the cause for the problem so they gave us a full refund! Just incredible! Who does that?

Currently, we have 3 vehicles serviced at Jims. We have been customers for almost 20 years. HONESTY is the main reason. It is more of a partnership than a customers/vendor relationship. Janet and Sherry are organized and always polite and friendly. Phil gives us the straight scoop on any issues. Providing a loaner car when available is another driving factor. We have gone to Jims Auto Clinic for over 10 years. Every visit we have had, whether a simple oil change, or as complicated a blown head gasket, they have treated us well and done excellent work! They are happy to explain your issues fully, even to someone who is not into cars. Ive never felt talked down to, or left wondering if Id gotten my moneys worth. Everyone is very friendly, and always ready to help.

Absolutely wonderful customer service. I have a 2004 Jaguar XJ8 that sat for almost two years without running. This car had been to at least 3 different shops for service, nobody could get this thing started. Spoke with Phil and in less than 3 weeks time he knew exactly what was wrong and had it fixed. Had to take my car in for some work during this COVID-19 life interruption. Glad to see this small business was able to keep working in spite of it all. I trust their service more than I ever did the Nissan dealer. I feel they are honest with their recommendations and a better value. They also had a seamless system worked out that my drop off, pick up, and payment could be done with interacting with any employee, safeguarding them and myself. Hopefully that will be different the next time I need service as I did find the staff there to be very personable and missed that interaction.

Let me start by saying Jims Auto Clinic is the best auto repair shop in all of Cincinnati. I recently took my car to Jims with a problem that another local shop couldnt find or fix. I took the car to this other shop twice and was told the problem was fixed. Im not saying this other shop did anything wrong. They did do the work that they quoted me, but the problem was still there, and it just seemed like they wanted me not to come back? So wanting a second opinion, I called Jims Auto Clinic. I was met with a very professional staff, a free to use loaner car, fair pricing, and a warranty for the repairs. So long story short, Jims mechanic found and fixed my problem and my car is back to normal. I will never use anyone else for my automotive needs. Thanks to everyone at Jims.

Took equinox in for brakes and exhaust work, ended up needing new manifold and timing work done, still had check engine light on when got back and stalled out next day, Jims promptly offer loaner car and told to bring back in, by 5pm. Next day issue was resolved, intake issue? No additional charge. Car runs amazing again, brakes are solid as new. Thanks again Phil.Andrew H

My father-in-law recommended Jim’s. I was having serious engine issues, and they took me in, provided a loaner car, and got the work done right (and in about 24 hours). Of course it wasn’t cheap (nothing with a car ever is!). But they actually came in $50 below the estimate and offered me a coupon book that helped me save an extra $30-$40. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back here and will recommend them to anyone who needs car work done!

I have had my Honda and Toyota cars serviced at Jims Auto Clinic for over 20 years. There service has always been excellent and repairs are done correctly the first time. Over the years they have added customer improvements and service transparency. Post service communications now include photos of areas that are OK, or may need attention and things that do need service, such as leaks or worn parts. My wifes car had a rear main seal give out due to the weather. We called several places and after talking to Jims Auto clinic we didnt have a doubt on who would be doing the work. From the first interaction to picking up our fixed vehicle it was stress free, the communication was excellent. They understand when a main vehicle goes down it can be a big deal. They gave us a loaner car and the mechanic worked late to make sure we had it back first thing in the morning. I cant say thank you enough!

I have used Jims auto clinic for several cars in the past of a span of 10 plus years or so. On this visit I asked them to perform a complete inspection mechanically, change the engine oil to Toyota specs, rotate tires and advise of any needed maintenance items. When the initial work was done I was called and without any pressure to do anything I was advised all the fluids should be changed to keep the car operating as it should. After being advised of the total cost for all the work I agreed. JAC still completed the additional work on the same day. My car is now running very well. I am glad I listened to their advice, JAC is a very good team from the office to the shop. The workmanship and friendliness makes doing business with them very easy. I may keep my car longer than I planned knowing they are available to do such good work.

The people at Jim’s are more than exceptional. After years of using them we moved away, but after getting a high quote from a local repair place I still called them for what I knew would be an honest assessment over the phone. Phil is always super at explaining things and I know they are 100% honest. Shirley and Janet know their customers voices over the phone and care about each person they work with. I would drive 3 hours back to Cincinnati to get any work done on my car!

From the Beginning starting With the Phone Call I was Instantly Calmed with the person not seeming to just Rush me off the phone but actually listening and giving me feedback with honest options. Besides the free estimation just how Quick it came which was under 24 hours not to say that’s always the case, have to be patient with businesses I will admit it is a level understanding you have to have. Period it’s that level of comfort they made me feel with trusting them to handle my car problems as if they were their own and not take care of things as business aka money. Every time they service your vehicle, you will receive a detailed inspection report. They go above and beyond to make sure your vehicle is always roadworthy! 5 stars, all day!

Honest and they werent out to gouge me for every penny they could get out of me. This is the 3rd shop Ive taken my car to and will be the only one I ever take my car to from now on. Do not taky your car to 5 star Auto Care they are crooks. Period. Do not take your car to Western hills Auto Care (I believe thats what the place is called right by the Starbucks on Glenway across from Chipotle and Panera bread/Best Buy.

I have taken my car to more than one shop in Cincy and Jims is by far the superior place for reputable, honest, on time work. Some of the time, the other guy might beat the price by a few bucks, but that doesnt mean that they are worth the risk! Trust me!Other times, Jims price is far superior. (so far!)As a woman that has bought and driven many different styles of vehicle, I trust this place to have the proper equipment to diagnose whatever ails my car. Ive had good experiences here in the past, but not this time. My Hyundai Vera Cruz was having issues with ignition/turning the key, which started working when I dropped it off (of course). Decided to leave anyway to have the issue addressed, as they said they werent too busy.Five days later, I still hasnt heard back. Called today to learn that another problem had emerged, and the original wasnt remedied.Things happen, especially with auto electronics, but very disappointed with the communication and time it took.
