Great customer service - My initial call was about getting our old Motorola Satcom handheld up and working again. They were extremely knowledgeable and offered to send it in and evaluate the phone. Once they received it, they thoroughly went through the phone and advised me that it was a dinosaur and offered a fairly priced replacement.

Great customer service! I recently purchased a used 9505A satellite phone and a 750 min airtime sims card. The service from the get-go has been exceptional. The agent I spoke with was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. At no point did I ever feel pressured in making a purchase. The phone was delivered as agreed upon, and I must admit, for a used phone, it looks and operates like brand new. I was very pleased. I did encounter a small issue with the spare battery. In 2012, I purchased an Iridium Extreme for use during our high altitude glacier research in the Mt. Everest and Makalu-Barun regions of Nepal. The Makalu-Barun region is particularly remote, requiring an 8-10 walk just to get back to the glaciers and glacial lakes that we were studying, with of course no electricity, wifi, or phone service. The Extreme was to be used for calling in helicopters from Kathmandu in the event of a medical or other emergency, usually related to altitude sickness, when it became a life or death matter to get someone down lower and under the care of a physician. In six years of field work, usually lasting for three months every spring and fall, I never had to use the Extreme once for myself or my team--but I used it on four other occasions for climbers or trekkers with severe injuries or medical conditions. For example, a Polish climber stumbled into camp one morning who was literally dying from pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs), who would have died if we hadnt been able to start treatment with antibiotics in our kit, and especially call a helicopter in the next day--a bit tricky since the valley walls shot up vertically from the river for 10,000 with only a small window of sky above, but the Extreme did the trick. Three other people are also alive today because we were able to call helicopters in and get them to lower altitudes, and under expert care, immediately.

When I first contacted NorthernAxcess, I was looking for a sat phone for our company aircraft and was steered towards the perfect phone. Not only was it compatible, but it was less expensive than the one I originally identified. Customer support was superb and when we needed a simple adapter, one was sent to me free of charge.They truly went beyond to satisfy our requirements.

Yesterday I called NorthernAxcess regarding my Irridium Extreme. The SIM holder had a broken pivot point. I spoke with their senior tech person and he was extraordinarily helpful in setting up a repair appointment and walking me through the process. He promised a quick turn around time and based on my discussions with he Im confident he will deliver. The phone was mailed off today and I look forward to getting it back in working order.

Northern Axcess are great, stuck in the middle of nothing West Texas I decided to update my Firmware, so of course I busted my only source of communication away from the facility where I was. Called a few people including Iridium and no one would help me, send the phone in they all said, of course that was many, many hour’s drive to find a FedEx office, let alone being without a phone for many days!Talked to Jeremy at Northern Axcess and he was very patient and helpful and we managed to fix the phone, oh man was I happy. I dont leave reviews very often but I am compelled to say what great service I have received from the service department at NorthernAxcess Satellite Communications. I have an Iridium 9575 satellite phone that quit functioning due to being dropped and water getting into the housing. I had heard from another sat-phone dealer in Anchorage that NorthernAxcess might be able to help me. After calling their service department and talking to Jeremy Carter, their chief repair technician, I sent the phone down to their shop for repair. Jeremy called me when they got the phone and reassured me that he could fix it and get it back to me before hunting season. I was so relieved to get the phone back, fixed as good as new and in less than two weeks! My sons and I have really relied on our Iridium sat-phones with all of our Alaskan adventures including marine .... we dont feel safe without that phone and have relied on it to get us out of trouble more than once! I needed a replacement battery for my very old Motorola 9500 Satellite phone. This battery was not easy to find but I finally located an aftermarket one at NorthernAxcess Satellite Communications. I order one that had the same exact specifications as my OEM battery. However, after installing it my phone displayed an error code indicating it would not recognize the replacement. I then called the tech department and spoke with Jeremy. When he tried to contact the company that made the battery in China he learned it had gone out of business. To resolve my problem he sent me an original Motorola Iridium battery that works great. I am very pleased with how Jeremy took care of this problem an will order from this company again.
