Great, and I mean great place!!! My kids love learning. Their private instructor is Ms. Guzman but honestly they all do great work. Building self confidence in children is not easy and they do this and more. When we signed up they did a test to see how our children performed and to see which instructor would suit best for them. Great Service, friendly instructors and clean facilities. The Tai Chi lessons really helped me recover after knee surgery, it helped me get movement and strength back in my leg. Its also a great way to let out some steam after a stressful day at work, while also learning great self defense techniques. The instructors are very friendly and patient, they will work step by step with you while you learn and perfect your form. Overall its a great place to get a great workout while learning something that could one day safe your life.

I absolutely love coming here. Everyone makes you feel included. Not only do I get a great workout in the group classes and one on one private lessons, but the instructors explain everything you learn in so much detail, you understand what youre doing and why youre doing it.I was never really into physical activity before coming here, but with the help from the instructors and other students, Ive pushed myself past the limits of what I thought I could never accomplish. So much so that by the time Ive reached my next sash I feel like Ive earned it, rather than just been given one like some other schools, and I thank them so much for that.

My son has been going here for a little over a year. When he first started he was very shy in public and refused to participate school performances. By the mid year he has much more confidence and even did the martial arts tournament. It keeps him active as well as gives him skills that will allow him to defend himself if the need ever arises.

Great place! I love how you get to work one on one with an instructor and you go at your own pace. Its great how they offer combative classes and it allows you to see how it can be applied to a real life self defense situation.

Going on 4 months now, and I am in heaven. tàijíquán, Yang Style is my art! The instructors are top notch. Plenty of class time and the private lessons are key to a students success. Perfect place to learn discipline along with humility and improve on your strength. If it wasnt for White Dragon I would probably be going down a different path in my life that would have not been suitable for me. Through the ttraining and the guidance of my instructor I have learned how to better myself but, also, am in good physical shape, better than I ever was in high school. In 2013, at the age of 73, I was temporarily in a wheelchair for severe back problems . I went to a physical therapist for 6 weeks who recommended I try TaiChi as an alternative form of therapy. I have been a student at white dragon chula vista for 3 years. All of the instructors are outstanding and are able to adapt the training to fit a persons age and physical condition. There has been a major improvement in my core and leg strength, back flexibility, balance and overall physical health. It is with great pleasure that I give the school a 5 star recommendation. I will continue to be a student as long as I possibly can.

When I was first looking for a martial arts school in San Diego there was 3 things I looked for. Value distance to my house and if I could actually learn this. I came across this school. I was invited for a week. Not just for a group class but 2 private lessons. The first day I was expecting just a tour, but no we got straight to business. I was empressed with how much the instructors genuenly enjoy their job and how much they motivate the students. The fact that you can also learn not just Kung Fu but Kickboxing, jujitsu, and ti chi all in the same building is awesome. You can also attend classes at their other schools making this even more convenient. I can actually say I enjoy coming here.

I came to White Dragon Martial Arts and explained that I was interested in learning a martial art, but didnt know how to take the first step towards achieving that goal. Sifu Padilla has since guided me towards learning Choy Li Fut and participating in self-defense, grappling and sparring classes. I initially joined up with the school along with my daughter. We chose this location because its so close to our house. I was hesitant to join a chain of schools because I have had bad experiences in the past, but Im very glad that we signed up. White Dragon of Chula Vista does a very good job teaching in a group format as well as individually. All of their instructors are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The sifus in charge of this location are very involved, approachable, and dedicated to improving their students. They take the time to work with individuals, even if that student isnt one that they normally teach in private lessons. I study tai chi only, but from what I see of the kung fu classes, the students get a lot out of their time there. If you were interested in learning Chinese martial arts, I highly recommend giving this school a chance.

Wether it be soccer, swimming, running, etc. I never really thought I fit in 😞 and nor did I felt that the teams I would be in were considered my family as many say. Not until I was 10 and was inspire by kung fu panda (may seem like a dumb reason, I know😂) but I just needed something that was gonna make me feel better about myself, so I entered white dragon martial arts.Now I can say I am fully confident about myself 😁, but that wouldnt have been possible without the help of my teacher, the instructors, and specially the friends I had made there who always pushed me to be better every day, thank you 😊💖

When I signed up at White Dragon, I knew I wanted to learn more about tai chi. I also wanted to be challenged physically and mentally. I wanted to do something to balance my regular workouts, but still have a workout that I can do regularly as I get older. That was 5.5 years ago and I met these goals.What I really didnt expect during those 5.5 years is what White Dragon offers as an organization. I found a sense of community. I feel this not only at the CV location, but also when I visit the other locations. The Sifus and instructors truly care for their students and want them to do their best. I see this everytime I observe the staff conducting classes and private lessons. I see this when I am greeted with a pleasant hello, or when I am given encouraging words by my private instructor.The White Dragon staff lives and breathes the organizations core values - Martial Ability, Martial Spirit, Respect, Responsibility, Health, Humility, Discipline, and Positive Attitude. I signed up for the free trial lessons here on the recommendation of a coworker this April. Martial arts and combat were always subjects that had interested me, but that I had never been able to imagine myself doing. I signed up for a membership anyway. Its been one of the best decisions Ive ever made.White Dragon has a well-rounded curriculum: group classes for keeping basic skills sharp, kickboxing, weapons, grappling, tai chi. In addition to physical skills, the history, application, and ability to assess situations are always part of the lessons. I never feel like Im just mechanically doing something because an instructor said to, or because it just looks cool (though of course it still does). Theres meaning behind everything, which makes doing it more worthwhile. At least for me.What really sets the school apart, though, is the attitude and approach they take. No matter how crazy-busy instructors are, theyre always willing to work with you and help out, not to mention amazingly patient. I havent encountered many places with the level of positivity White Dragon radiates. Nobody puts on airs just because they know martial arts. Students and instructors alike encourage and assist. Its the kind of atmosphere that nurtures learning, growth, and the better aspects of human nature in general. Which means a lot when youre a gangly, nerdy, awkward person like me. I find myself doing things I never thought I could, both in kung fu and life.And thats worth a lot more than a simple five stars.

This place is my second home. Ive been coming here for about 4 and a half years now and I love it so much. I have participated in many different sports since the age of 4, but none of them had me hooked. But when I started here at the age of 11, I knew that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Kung Fu is my passion. It has improved me as a person and my life in general. I have made so many friends here, and everyone at White Dragon is like a family. The Sifus are always there to not only help improve your training, but also to make sure you have fun doing it; they are truly inspiring people. The instructors are super nice, helpful, and they all really care about every one of their students. And the students are all really supportive and will always be there for you. I can almost guarantee that anyone, at any age, who signs up for Kung Fu will fall in love with it, just as I did.

Ive been doing kung-fu at white dragon chula vista for almost 4 years and i have a deep passion for it. my kung-fu journey started when i was 4 years old at white dragon clairemont and after moving i took a 4 year break and started at white dragon chula vista. as i didnt remember anything, i was basically a white sash wearing a blue sash with three stripes. as i was embarrassed, i was persistent and practiced and practiced. i soon caught up, tested for purple, and now i am soon testing for my brown. i love kung-fu, mainly sparring, and have used my endurance i gained for sports at school too. without white dragon, i think id be one of the really stressed out kids in high school. i let out all my anger and stress whenever i go there and i absolutely adore my teacher. hi ms. guzman :) anyway, if you are thinking about joining white dragon martial arts, do it. youll meet friends, relax, and gain health and discipline. theres something for everyone so come in and find your new favorite hobby :)
