My appointment was at one I came in five minutes early the guy said they got backed up but were constantly letting people in the chairs cutting. the owner was lame the barbershop was lame the music was super trash just like their barbers.

Asked for a medium skin fade I got not fade. Hair was not blended whatsoever. Left both side of my head where facial hair meets with hair still. didn’t even bother to clean it off Until I asked too. Asked for a lineup as well, my hair was gently touched as if they were scared to line me up. Told them to stop and I just paid. Will not come back here again. Definitely don’t recommend.

Always a great place to get a quality haircut. Missed it more than I thought I would when they closed due to COVID. I was first in line when they opened back up, once they opened up not only were they clean like always but they made sure everyone was following social distancing and wearing masks. My barber Gizel does a great job at any haircut for any situation, casual or professional, highly recommend 10/10

Pretty busy and slow haircuts. No communication to potential customers on wait times. Waited for approximately 40 minutes until one employee walked by to figure out who is left on the waiting list. Then overhead her state to another walk-in there will be another wait time because of appointments coming in. Wish they put a sign up to let walk ins know where they wait time are. Just like sports clips down the street. If you don’t make an appointment then your SOL so new customers be advised you might be here for over an hour watching appointments go by and watching a movie here. It will probably be quicker to just go somewhere else if you value your time. Can’t comment on the the employees there but from what I seen in the past few trips is no one gets beards or mustache done here and they can talk forever among other employees. Prices are on the higher end which does not make sense to me for the long wait times, decent hair cuts, and lack of communication between the customer and the store. If the owner ever bothers to read this you will probably know what I am talking about. Hope this helps out people in the area to make a better choice thank making this place your go to. There are other places to get your hair cuts.

Always 5 stars with them.They were my barber for 5 years then I moved.Then the El Cajon Blvd location for 1 year.Now I came back to get a hair cut. They never disappoint me. Always 100 with them. Thanks again guys.

My first couple of experiences wasnt that good until Abraham cut my hair. Let me say that he is by far the most experienced in giving African Americans the best haircut ! I have been to many barbershops within the San Diego area! Abraham will give them all a run for their money! To be honest, I make my appointments with Abraham, because to me... He is the best barber in that shop!(no offense to the other barbers at Mooses)

I walked in to get a haircut the lady at the desk walks away from me “i’m mexican with construction clothes on”.. completely embarrassed me and Leaves me at the front desk then the barber closest to the door asked me to schedule a walk in for tomorrow. I got there at 2 pm the barbershop closes at 7pm.. I’m really disgusted with this barbershop... How many mexicans do you treat like this at your shop?

I can’t argue with the fact that it’s always friendly and clean but most if not half of the barbers are not that great and just can’t give you the cut you ask for. If you ask for medium you’ll get a high. If you say not to touch the sides they still try to blend it in even though you specifically said not to. It’s just not a great place to go get a good haircut. You’ll be lucky if it’s even descent. I’ve tried giving this place 3 chances with 3 different barbers and still just not a place I will ever go to again. Terrible haircuts. If you ask for them to shave you, they do it with an electric razor. You can ask them for a proper shave but they still can’t get close enough. Their fades are the worst. You can’t call yourselves barbers if you’re going to shave someone using that piece of garbage. People really need to know not to go to this place anymore. They don’t deserve business. If I could, I’d rate them no stars. Half of 1 if that. There’s probably 2 barbers out of the 20 there that can actually cut hair. It’s taking everything in me not to use profane language to describe just how horrible the barbers there are. Please do not go there. Find yourself another ACTUAL barber. People who can actually shave and not leave tiny hairs here and there.

This barber shop is pretty good, but only 2 of the guys know how to carve out a beard to look good. Jonathon is the best barber here. He does a good job cutting hair and trimming beards.

Charmie is the go to barber here. Always on point with the fade and crispy line up. Make sure you book an appointment with her ahead of time.

Great haircut for an adult male, got a medium fade and they put a lot of effort into making it look fantastic. Even shaped up my forehead and sideburns, for $20 you get the best haircut in Chula Vista.

Long wait times everybody has a good attitude but long wait times if you don’t have an appointment be ready to be skipped and see people come and go so the good barbers have Apointments and the inexperienced barbers are the only one left !

Nice experience , I just think I got the wrong barber. Shop is nice and friendly , moose is a cool guy. But other times before I have gotten better service from different barbers. It was a rushed expierence for the price with the guy who cut my hair. Other times it was not.

Sometimes the wait can be very long and you will notice other barbers not doing a single thing. It does make you wonder what the hell is really going on here. Overall great place though. Prices are a little high. $28 for a shave and cut. But I was very happy with the results

This barbershop is fantastic, the atmosphere and people are incredibly wholesome. Furthermore, my all around experience at Mooses Barber Shop was the best i have experienced in years! Trumps the service that Great Clips, Sports Cuts and many more offer, and at 12 dollars for a regular adult cut? you can not find a deal like that anywhere else here in Otay Ranch. I highly recommend Richie as your Barber (for guys) great persona, and very very skilled at what he does. In essence, Mooses Barber Shop gets an A rating in my book, and they have definitely hooked a repeating customer. Job well done Mooses!

A lot of people on here are talking about the wait but i just called in showed up and was in the chair in about 15 mins.Another thing people were talking about was the time the cuts take. I found my hair cut to be perfect everything i wanted and anything like that takes time. You can really tell they want to do a good job and i for one like that. Of you just need a fast and quick easy hair cut then go to great clips, but if you want a great hair cut then this is the place. Loved it cant wait to go back.

My first and last time here. I didnt know I had to sign in nor did anyone tell me. Another patron behind me quickly signed in and wasnt courteous to allow me to sign in before him. 2 minutes later, a barber who saw me enter first, admitted him. I stayed thinking, my badfor not knowing better.I waited 30 minutes even though 2 other barbers who were finished and were on the computer at the reception area ignored me. I left since my business was not good enough. Its a shame to have this type of customer service in my own neighborhood.

Came here because my barber was out of town. I got cut my this older Mexican women, and it was the worst haircut I have ever gotten in my life. The haircut lasted about 15 min and she gave me a huge rash and the whole haircut was un even. save yourself and DONT COME HERE.

Been coming here for three years now. Been great. Sometimes the wait os 30 min but thats because I walk in without appointment. Its a blend of professionalism and feeling like your at cheers. Everyone gets to know your name.

Place is Okay, their is no customer service here especially if you are new. The Cuts are average but not great. Most of the Barbers are not personable at all. I recomend going to Masterpiece Barbershop if your local to Chula Vista get way better cut and service #facts.

Signed in and told it would be 45 min to an hour- and they would call. Waited 1 hour 45 min and walked back in- (because I never received a phone call back) and was told would have to wait another hour. Although they are way overpriced and the personnel give about average haircuts, I liked the convenience of it while supporting the local barber shop -not amymore.

Last time I will go there.. I have 3 boys.. i always spend close to 70$ getting hair cuts for them. I showed up today greeted by an employee who obviously didnt want to be there. I may have to drive a lil futher, but will do.. to a place that appreciates customers.

I like this barbershop for my kids. It is near my neighborhood. The barbershop in general is kid friendly with a place for the kids to play and watch a movie. The problem is that it is slow and sometimes crowded. The barbers may take long breaks. This takes away the convenience of it being close to the neighborhood.

Complete and utter garbage is what I have to say mainly because the barbers dont listen. The past 3 times I went they have not cut my hair even close to what I wanted it to be. I told them to shave the sides and leave the top alone and somehow my barber messed it up and made my hair look like a mohawk.

Terrible customer service. We Were told wait was 15 minutes and 3 barbers were just talking to themselves in the corner looking at their phones. Also if you dont want to do a kids haircut, you need to advertise that your not a kid friendly shop.Total waste of money at this place and will never go back again. Do not ever just walk in. They do not explain this to you but you must have a barber that your prefer and text or e-mail that person for appointments. If you just show up you will be there for hours. I tried this place 3 times and havent had a barber that I would want to call or text back for a haircut. I am very disappointed because it is a few minutes from my house.They cut my sons hair and OMG did they do a terrible job. Right before picture day too. You have been warned. His pre-kindergarten photo has been ruined I will not ever chance it again with these people.

They give out good haircuts and fairly cheap, around $10 at most.

Terrible customer service! My dad came in as a walk-in they told him they would take care of him in 15 min an hour later my father was still sitting in their lobby. When we asked what was going on they said they had appointments and they came first. Appointments do come first, but then dont say you are taking care of customers in 15 min. And if you fall behind at least dont leave us waiting! Long story short an hour and a half later we walked out without a haircut.

Three times I have been to this location for a straight razor shave and an undercut. All three times the hot towels stunk of mildew. Twice the undercut was off, it was longer on one side and shorter on the other. Plus the wait is horrible. DO NOT GO HERE!
