New Miata owner, and boy did I get lucky right out of the gate. Rocky is a MASTER, at his craft. I know cars, and really appreciated the extra time and attention to get my car 100% ready for the road (2012, got used but looks new) I will not take my car anywhere else.2/16/17:RAKE!! Ran over a Damn Rake on the freeway! Took out the Condenser and the Radiator. Looks like were going to Rockys for a week of repairs. Glad no body damage, always a silver lining.

What a great mechanic! Rocky was very professional and very helpful. I need a new engine for my 2006 Mazda MX-5 and Rocky walked me through every step, including where to find a donor engine. I dropped off my car on Wednesday and he had it ready by Monday (he doesnt do weekends). I also had a new clutch, flywheel, and radiator installed as well! He found an issue with my clutch master and replaced for me, what a nice guy! I whole heartedly recommend this shop to all Miata owners as well as the shop next door Good-Win Racing!Thank you Rocky!

Had the clutch changed here on my 2001 Miata. Rocky was very friendly and was able to change my clutch in just a few days for a fair price. I will definitely be returning here for future repairs - cant recommend Rocky and his shop enough!

Dropped off my 01 Miata to get a turbo installed. Took a little longer than expected, Rocky was going through some personal stuff but he made sure everything was perfectly installed. I asked him a whole bunch of questions and he had an answer for everything. Very nice guy.

Rocky is awesome. Ive been looking for someone to do the timing chain replacement on my Mazdaspeed6, but no one wanted to touch it until I called up Rocky. Plus I wanted someone who specializes in Mazdas. He was the perfect choice. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Now my speed6 doesnt make that diesel engine like sound anymore. You just have to he patient and plan ahead as hes a one man show in there.

I found Rockys Miatamotive through the San Diego Miata Club. My Mazda had a problem passing smog and I wanted someone who is familiar with Mazdas to work on it. Although I didnt own a Miata, he was more than happy to work on my 2003 Protege5 Sport wagon. We set a date to drop off the car the week of Thanksgiving. He gave me an initial quote and would advise me on the phone once the diagnostics had been done. He phone that afternoon, told me the problem and was quoted a figure that I agreed upon. He had to order a part and being the holiday, I didnt expect to get my car back until the following week. To my surprise he phoned me on that Saturday to inform me my car was ready to pick up and the amount was exactly as he had quoted. He referred me to another shop to run my smog test again and it passed with flying colors. Thanks to him, I was able to register my car. He was a life saver.The shop was wonderful to work with. They always kept in touch with me every step of the way and he stayed on budget without gouging me with unnecessary repairs like some shops I have dealt with in the past. Very honest and trustworthy.Rockys Miatamotive will be the only place I will take my car to. I highly recommend this shop to anyone and will refer other Mazda owners her as well.
