By far the best Golden Corral around. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality and courtesy...and being a finicky vegetarian I rarely do the full-on buffet scene. Kudos guys!

We came for lunch today and left totally disappointed. When we arrived we fixed our drinks and went up to pay. Had to wait a minute for someone to come to the register. The person who came to the register rang us up but charged us for two drinks - not one. She didnt even look to see what we were drinking. We sat down and was greeted by our server, William. He was very nice and did a great job.We were extremely disappointed with the food. The mac n cheese is not the same recipe that it used to be. It was really disgusting. The selection of food was also really disappointing, especially the dessert options. Overall, the price of what you pay is way too high for the value of food received. I left hungry and will not come back again.

Really great service from Gary, the waiter. He was very efficient and kept our glasses full throughout the entire meal. On the food side, GREAT selection! The steak was fantastic! Mashed potatoes and corn were GREAT!! The yeast rolls were incredible. Definitely would go again.

William is an amazing manager! He helps keep everyone motivated and always has a smile. My favorite waitress is Melanie. My kids color her something every visit and she will talk with them with 110% patience. This is our favorite place to visit when we decide to eat out!

This is one of my favorite places to eat! If you cant find a meal to your liking here with the huge variety of choices, you just cant be pleased. Great service, fantastic food choices, reasonable prices!

Food was much better than it has been in previous visits. The guy cutting the steaks however had no idea what he was doing. Asked for a small well done for my little girl and he handed me a small very rare steak, went back and got another piece cut and it was all fat with zero meat on it.

Cleanliness is definitely an issue and the quality of the food was poor. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant is lacking from the building, restroom, tiles, dishes, carpet and buffet area. Employees acted as if we were inconveniencing them by asking them to wipe off the tables and bring us clean plates and silverwareWill not visit this restaurant again!!

We were pleasantly surprised. Typically our family does not eat at buffets but we were tired, hungry, and needed somewhere kid friendly. The food was fresh, hot, and tasty. Everything was clean. The staff were friendly and attentive.

I have experienced good and bad here. I believe it just depends on the crew working and what time of day it is. I have been in for breakfast and it was not the best and seemed old and barely warm, plus the workers didnt seem to care about us. I have went for dinner and it was excellent it was all hot and fresh and the workers were friendly and helpful at all times.

We got there about 40 minutes before they closed because we were coming from out of town. The food was still out and fresh and the service was good. We definitely be back when coming through the area.

I would normally give chain restaurants 3 stars if they are typical. I gave an extra star because of the friendliness of the employees. Also, the general manager proves that he cares about his customers by his actions and policies. The food is hot and tastes fresh. They quickly refill items on the bar as they run low. The buffet at this location isnt quite as large as others I have visited but I still found plenty of food that I like.

We waited in line 20 minutes to be rang up. Cashier had an attitude because her co-worker replacement was late. Rang my order as cash instead of debt card. Waited another 20 minutes until she got it corrected. Failed to ring orders up as early bird so I paid full cost.Salad bar low on itens. Had to wait for dressing to me filled.Had to wait for a server to come at the steak station.Seen a child, approximately 6 years old at the dessert bar using the serving spoon eating jello out of the container. No parental supervision and bar unattended. OMGManager no where to be seen.Table server was delightful. Thank you, Mary!

Great food! Checkout line long and took over 20 minutes to pay and be seated. Only run one register. Could have been prevented with the opening of 2nd one!! Slowest Golden Corral I have visited.

You cant beat the food. They have a wide variety of awesome stuff on their bar. The Price is Right as well. I had a great experience.

Theyve been really good. I recommend going to eat as soon as they open, 11 or 4:30. These times youll get the best food (freshest) Im definitely going back. I really enjoy eating here. Some food on the line is a hit and a miss but I enjoy trying them all. My kids never fight about eating here because they always find something they want.

It was ok. The salad bar was stocked plenty and fresh looking. The ribs had too much Black Pepper on it which overwhelms the taste of the nicely smoked meat. If Golden Corral puts out some regular ribs with a little seasoning Ill try them again.The rice pilaf (?) tasted great, even after adding some grilled mushrooms and a little poultry gravy. The carrots were too cooked and wound up too soft, but the squash was cooked nicely.Mike, our server, was very attentive and didnt over ask how we were doing.All in all I will be back for a filling and delightful meal.

Great place to eat when you have the right server. The best employee at this location is Christopher. He is literally the only reason why we eat here. The food is hit or miss for the price they charge. Steak is iffy because it is very fatty with no meat. I guess some people rather that. If that is the case, provide a variety.

One day the food is good, and I go another day not so good . This location is better than some, but the Roanoke Golden Corral location is always the best. I wish the Christiansburg locations food tasted better

Ive been coming to the Christiansburg location for years. It is great buffet style food. Lynn and Sandy are my two favorite servers. Overall this is a well managed restaurant.

I love Golden Corral for two reasons:1. I can easily get a variety of foods that fit my diet plan.2. They offer take out, and base the price on the weight of your plate, which turns out to be very reasonable in my experience.

Ate here today for the first time in a long time. The store was updated and clean. Wait staff was friendly and not overbearing. Foos was fresh and hot.

Im not normally a negative person but this Golden corral needs to go to Roanoke va and take a look at what things should look like no comparison. Very dissatisfied with options of food. we may as well have just been eating at country cooking...The staff were very polite but other than that not worth going back again..

Pretty sure my daughter got food poisoning here. The food was hard and didnt taste right. Not worth the $$ to get sick afterwards.

The last 3 times we went here the food wasnt very fresh. It was much better when it first opened. But for a family of 6 it was over 80 dollars. So definitely not worth the cost.

Good food but last few times it seems like the bourbon Street chicken dont have enough flavor. And they got rid of the better tasting honey butter they use to have for the rolls. To what I can tell a cheaper one that doesnt taste as good.

Ah, Golden Corral...the king of mediocre food. This particular trough is a very clean, very well run restaurant. The manager gave us a discounted meal because no one was at the register for about 10-20 seconds upon arrival; I felt that was going above and beyond. Anyway, their food is pretty good for what it is. Lots of options and this one particularly stands out for service.

Golden Corral Buffet and Grill in Christiansburg Virginia was a nice buffet style restaurant. this restaurant was very easy to find. This was centrally located to most of the mass merchandisers in the Christiansburg area. This had something for every member of my family to eat even, the young picky one. There were plenty of healthy options as well as hearty favorites.

Some of the food (especially the rolls) were a little old..but everything else was tasty

Left the restaurant hungry due to raw chicken, under cooked pork chops, under cooked veggies and other items that were substandard. The manager was very apologetic giving us a card for 2 free meals and drinks. The gesture was very appreciated and she even showed us she cared by going to the kitchen and personally addressing the issues with the kitchen staff.

Great experience and our server Gary was amazing! He was attentive and intuitive just seeming to appear with a spoon or a drink refill. Refreshing at a buffet.

I go to this establishment every week to have lunch with my sister and her husband. The staff there are the nicest folks you would ever want to meet.The food, for the most part, has always been good. The ribs and steak today were really good.The wait staff are excellent.I will continue to go there at least once a week.

This restaurant does not remotely compare to the one in Roanoke, food not good or fresh! I suggest you get someone you trust send them to Christiansburg to try it, then send them to Roanoke Golden Corral, let them tell you if there is a difference, that way you dont have to think I am feeding you a line!

We enjoyed our meals. What shocked us is that the Manager came by to check on us. This has never happened before to us at a Golden Corral. GREAT PR here.

Another favorite place if ours to go. A huge buffet with something for everyone, if you leave Hungary its your own fault! Oh my the hot rolls with honey butter are fantastic and are huge. The selection is just unreal, you feel like a kid in a candy store. Speaking of candy, the dessert bar is so full its hard to make a selection, so go ahead indulge with a little if each lol. Theres even a chocolate fountain with a selection of goodies to dip in to it!!! You hate to leave cause you just know your going to he dreaming about this place later.

Waitress was always nearby and ready to help out. As we were eating, one food item ran out so we requested the food preparation employees to refill. It took them a few minutes but they were sure to let us know when it was ready, which we all appreciated! Overall a pleasant experience with decent food!

Wow what a great place to eat!!! So far the Corral beats almost every other restaurant in town, for price, taste, availability, and desert is great! We started with desert because theres usually never enough room for it after the meal!!

Really shocked at the price to begin with, $38 for 2 seniors on Sunday. Woyldve accepted it better if the service was better, had to ask for refills, and used plate removal was very slow. The chicken, shrimp, and something the wife had was really overcooked. Generally the food we had was not even close to the price they charge. We werent the only ones irritated. Never again. Next time well go eat at a nice restaurant and enjoy better food for a better price!

My boyfriend and I decided to go out to get something to eat. We ended up going to Golden Corral when we got to the register to pay it was premium weekend the hostess said so instead of it being $20 for us it was $45- $14.50 each for buffet and $ 3.00 each for drinks and $5 for a tip. So way to expensive! The price was premium but the food definitely was not.

Good food and nice family place for lunch or dinner but the prices have gone up too high. Drinks should at least be included. One family costs over $200 for dinner out on a buffet and I don’t think it’s worth it but we go back because the kids loves buffets and the dessert bar.

We went to have dinner around 7 PM New Years eve, and this was the worst experience weve ever received at any restaurant, ever.There were various kinds of chicken, and we grabbed one from each tray. Every single one was cold in the middle. In fact, most of the food was cold.The strawberries looked to be on their last legs, with one in particular that had mold on it.Then my son went to grab a bowl for ice cream, and there was a thick layer of cheese on three of the four bowls we looked through. It wasnt washed at all.Our stomachs hurt the rest of the night as well...I will never spend $33 on a dinner with this business again. A waste of money...

Though Ive never been a huge fan of Golden Corrals food, this location is my least favorite of all. The food is at par with microwave-ready meals, and the price is outrageous for such low-quality food.On a positive note, I must say that the wait staff has always gone above and beyond expectations and consistently provide outstanding and friendly service!

Usually Golden Corral is a good place to eat but this location just felt lacking. Service was slow and the food just seemed subpar. We even had to wait like 15 minutes just to get spoons to eat the soup with.

Great improvements I came after first opening. Food had been out awhile. This last time food was great and tasty. Came for Granddaughters birthday was impressed and waiter was great even though restaurant was busy.

My husband is a big fan of Golden Coral because it was a past time with him and his dad. So we agreed to go to our local restaurant here in Christiansburg for lunch. We arrive shortly after 12 and walked in. First you must select your drink, all of the cups with filthy not just water marks .. Just plain dirty. So we selected to go cups. The plates were dirty and I had to put two aside before I found one that didnt have grime on it although still had scratches and food stains. The prime rib (which is what my husband specifically was excited for) was over cooked and poorly seasoned. The steak was precooked and dry. The salad bar had stale crutons and watery ranch. The pizza was overcooked my 8 year old son would not even eat it. This was an awful experience and I would not go again. Dont waste your money. please.

I have eaten here only a handful of times, each time my stomach hurts. At 1st I thought it was a fluke until my perfectly healthy son that has shown no sign of sickness threw up all over the place while we were in the middle of eating today. My stomach had started hurting and so did my daughters. Ours still hurts a little but after my son threw everything from there up he started feeling himself again. It was all we had ate today as we went for an early lunch so I know it wasnt anything else. I dont really recommend this restaurant at all.

This place has taken a turn for the worst. The register staff and manager were rude and snippy when we questioned the bill. The waitress only came by once to check on us and didnt even refill our drinks. We got dirty looks from the register when we refilled our drinks too. We used to really enjoy Golden Corral and have eaten there many times before. Hopefully this was an isolated incident.

This was an.... entertaining experience. I hadnt been to a buffet in a long while so my Fiance and I gave it a try. The food was so-so and we had dessert. The second we walked out our bodies let us know it was a bad choice. My Fiance threw up, then me, and now were both sick. Beware this restaurant!
