Great facility to workout and swim!
I didnt like the way christian the gmLook at me that its my fault. When hadProblem with gm from rancho lafitness he thinks its my fault
The gym is open again!! Sauna, pool, and showers I believe are closed though, but the gym looks good and they are limiting people who can enter through covid restrictions which is good as well too
Great workout, it has all I need!
Been going here for years. Really nice now, very uncrowded 😁
Get your work in
Filthy and disgusting even before the pandemic. Dont go here if you can avoid it.
Clean and well maintained
Its great for people who want to do fitness training, muscle-building, cardio, or other forms of exercise. The spa area is small, including the sauna, Jacuzzi , shower areas. Its clear that -- as the name says -- the focus is on fitness, not spa amenities. Many people just come to work out and dont swim or shower, so they dont need/use the spa at all. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Nice not crowded
Clean and new equipment. Friendly staff
The equipment is new because of the recent remodel. The restrooms are also nice and new. The staff is great with the kids at kids club,my kids love going there. Everything is fine except that the free weights are everywhere. I understand that its the members that scatter the weights everywhere, but there should always be staff walking around making sure that weights are put back. I see staff on their computers or chatting with one another when they can walk around and keep the place tidy.
Im only in town for a few weeks this summer and wanted to find a local place to work out. I signed up for a 5 day guest pass online and met Hugo at the gym. I explained my situation to him that I was only around for a temporary stay so didnt want to sign up for long contract. He offered me a one month membership no strings and no questions asked!! Thanks Hugo! Go see Hugo and hell hook you up!!Ive been working out daily there and the gym is clean, not crowded, and people re-rack their weights. Cant say that about some other gyms in the area. I also left a personal item by one of the benches one day and didnt remember until later. I was certain it would be gone forever, but an honest member turned it in to the front desk :)Only knock I would have on this place is the mens sauna needs a little bit of love. Other than that a great place to work out!!
The club is nice, very courteous staff. Cat was extremely helpful and showed nothing but sincere care, understanding and empathy. She is a great asset to the facility and the company as a whole. Her customer service is A1 and she is very professional.
Courtesy call from one of the managers to say hello. How nice. Clean and well maintained equipment.. not to mention they are all pretty much brand new!! 5 stars in my book
I am in from New York City and needed a place to work out. With many options available, I chose LA Fitness, Chino Hills. The facilities were clean, well maintained and inviting. More importantly, I cannot say enough about Gilbert, one of the General Managers, whos hospitality was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Gilbert and this LA Fitness location. G
I only use the pool and jacuzzi. They keep them passable as far as cleanliness goes. The pool has some paint chipping on its floor, which shows through as dark brown rust spots. Looks like poop at first, but do not fear! It is just rust. A few months back, a grumpy female staff member came out and was spraying cleaning chemicals on the floor, then rinsed it with a hose, washing it right into the pool and jacuzzi (which I was in at the time) and splashing it in my eyes. She saw she did it, and had no care whatsoever. She was really miserable. Not really the clubs fault. Just an irresponsible and grouchy midde aged person. They suffer the failure most gyms have which is to not create an air barrier around the toilets, so the showers and pool area always have an aroma of fresh urine and feces floating out from the toilet area. The rest is fine.
Was good, was well managed when it was newly opened. Now, it is deteriorated, rules and company policies are NOT enforced. Management only care to bring members. Sad 🤔😒
This is a great gym friendly spaces just wish it had a steam room
I know the sauna can be a bit cleaner. The pool clearly needs more attention 4 chemicals such as acid and chlorine . I ended up having to take antibiotics for an infection on my skin and my doctor attributed it to the public pool. I say maybe not , so Im going to continue my senior aerobics classes.
Their exercise machines are modern, their floors are amazing and the sauna that has a lot helps
Every person has a bad day, and to be quite honest I feel as if the ratings for this particular location do not represent the hard working individuals that create the face for this particular location. Customer service is a very difficult sector to work under. Its as almost the staff get immediately blamed for when things just dont go the right way. Nonetheless, despite anything, this locations staff deserves credit for being outright nice and very welcoming. Especially to those who who visit the area and need a facility to work out at. I visited this location not to long ago from New York City and was treated with dignity and kindness. The locker rooms are clean as well as the facility. The weight lifting area is from what I can tell, organized and clean. One negative experience (or a persons bad day) should not define or refelct the integrity of this facility. I for one, implore those who are skeptical about this location to try it out. I know that like myself, you will not be disappointed.
Ive been coming here for 2 years now and I really never have an issue with the machines upstairs. Theres plenty to accommodate all runners/walkers. I think they can upgrade their treadmills along with their weight machines, their all outdated.I always see the custodians cleaning and wiping down equipment, which is nice to see. What bugs me is the fact that they staff dont follow their own rules. With signs that say re-stack your weights and no gym bags allowed in weight area weights are rarely ever in its correct place, I always see gym bags. Its like they dont care what their members do. As long as they posted their little signs the workers are in the clear.I have to agree with half the members that wrote a review, the front desk rarely ever acknowledge you. They scan your card and thats it. Ive tried saying hello like humans were introduced to since the beginning of time and you get nothing back, youre lucky if you get eye contact and a nod of existence. The trainers seem to only be cool with you if you hired them from personal training.I wish I can give more stars but, every gym is like this. It is what it is.
Works for me
I just wish the free weights would be put back where they belong by the customers. Sometimes its impossible to find matching dumbbells on the racks. That is my only complaint everything else is ok
Love my 4:30 a.m. group of Gals. My very own Breakfast Club
Free weight section is a little small compared to other la fitness around but its a good gym
Been coming to this Gym for years. Two men followes me home twice from L.A. Fitness Chino. The trainer here is Best! Best Best!
The highlight is their water aerobics, or Aqua, at 9am. Rossanna G is the best instructor. Other than that, would not frequent this gym unless I had to. It has the smallest locker room with hardly any showers. The pool area is dark and not graduated like other pools.
We enjoy the yoga class here, but: the front desk is often rude if we check in with our phone numbers, and they pretend we dont match the system (but they have our pictures). This Tuesday night was especially bad. The jacuzzi water isnt very clean. The showers never maintain a consistent temperature while in use, and often do not have hot water. Creeps hang out just to hit on the female members, without exercising.
Chuez gym is the best they have 3 separate prices its much cheaper than la fitnesss and nicer walked in to a la fitness the tell.you its the last day of the sale they want more down every on go to chuez in corona no pressure prices are great
New equipment and polite sales staff. Its been a good time with the bball court refinished and the usual people there. Good to be back.
It was a pleasure to meet Gilbert and to workout in such a FANTABULOUS facility! I really enjoyed the super clean facility, the weight machines, the rachetball courts, and and the friendly atmosphere. The staff was not only congenial but very professional. Thank you to all of you for a phenomenal experience!!
No real complaints, sure it can get crowded if you go on a weeknight but so does every gym especially 24 hour fitness. Ive read other reviews about people having trouble with their accounts and Ive started, ended, and reactivated my account with not a single problem. the real disturbing thing about this la fitness the substantial amount of old men in the locker room who have full length conversations with their genitalia out.
The gym is cool but there are a couple staff members there that are the rudest people you will ever meet. You would think they would try to be nice to you at least so you would want to buy a gym pass.
Its a gym plain and simple! Been a member since 96 and a former employee of L.A.Fitness. All gyms have their ups and downs and unless its a brand new gym, its going to smell like a gym. I go to work out not socialize but the people I do know there are very friendly and polite.
Good gym. Has up to date and working equipment. Can get crowded during peak hours.
Unfortunately closed do to covid19
Completely remodeled. It must have cost a fortune. The locker rooms are particularly nice with much nicer and larger lockers.
Friendly attentive staff. Ample Machine are well maintained and almost always available. Bathrooms, shower stalls, swimming pool and overall facility are generally clean and well maintained.
I go here just to work out plain and simple, i do not take classes all i use is the machines and weights. Certain staff members are rude, others are nice. For the most part the gym is always clean the only time i would say its dirty is when its busy.
Love this GYM just wish people wouldnt take selfies in the dressing room!
After the renovation, it looks pretty good. Staff are friendly, space and machines are plentiful and available
The most unprofessional and disgusting customer service, the front desk in particular, I have ever experienced in my life. They dont even look at you or acknowledge your presence. When I pointed that out to a MANAGER she responded, You have an iphone, go on yelp and write a review if you want. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!! How can LA fitness hire managers like that?
The gym is okay. The staff is ridiculous. It is basically impossible to cancel a membership as you have to appear in person between the hours of 9:00-5:00 m-f. Tough luck if you have a job. This is the 21st century guys. Get it together! I get it that it’s not in your interests to have anyone cancel a membership so you want to make it as difficult as possible but it’s called customer service.
Thank goodness the staff has changed! Friendliness and Professionalism is the new top priority. Looking forward to the renovations .
They were terrible people! I tried to sign up but when it got down to prices 24 was over $200 dollars cheaper! When i said i wasnt interested they took my on a tour. I still said no. Find out the following day i was charged $100 dollars? I didnt even give them my credit card. They operate at a criminal level. I am sewing, i will take as much action as i can. The guy that was trying to sell my practically harassed me and wouldnt let me leave! Dont ever go to this place! They are horrible!
Only good if you play sport, like racquetball or basketball...
Everything is good but they are a lot of people. Choice the good hour.
This gym is very clean, the staff is very friendly and they are always greeting you with a smile. It is smaller than other branches in the area, it also gets very busy but it “flows” people moves from machine to machines.Of course it is impossible to keep tidy restrooms when you have that many people coming and going and also when they are having those harsh supplements (you know what I mean).Unfortunately this gym has lots of loud “moaners”, and also guys wearing flip flops all over the place (yup, eww).Lots of promotions available and cold clean water available for drinking.
I was told they will complete their remodeling by end of June. Ok cool , showed up July 3rd , nope, still remodeling , cool. Called before I go there , and was told that will be another reopen date....oh...k...went there today on the 7/10 around 1330 ish , cant let you in until 3pm...and the whole gym smells bad like the paint is still drying and staff just giving you feeling that its your fault that YOU show up here.....Im kind of piss off about this gym...
This is an old gym that I have been because is convenient for me after work on the way home.Recently this place is been remodeling, hopefully it can be done sooner because they have been delaying reopen for few times as their announcement.
Better buy ticket from Costco, much cheaper
They need to turn on the AC. I get cold easily and even this is too hot for me. Several customers have complained but the operations manager refuses to change it from 74 degrees.
This place has been around for a while. It could use some sprucing up inside but they do a good job of keeping everything in decent shape.
I was a planet fitness member ,move to LA FITNESS, Im very happy i did...Love Wednesday Zumba!!!
Recently renovated - looks good and new equipment. Free classes, a pool, and ball courts, as well as child care, make this place a great choice for a gym.
The space is cramped and the majority of members are interested in your business
Convenient place to work out, take a class or get personal training.
Could use more machines but still a great gym
Dropped off the manager here. Got a $19 membership. Nice new facility
The staff member explained to me that I would be able to cancel and receive a full refund within 7 days. I did so and yet they refused to refund me my membership fee and were extremely rude to me about it. I would never recommend anyone to go to this gym with their aging equipment and $15 a month towel fees. Go to 24 hour fitness around the corner
This place is awful. Old equipment, dirty restroom. The other day Mitchell who is the instructor for the 9:45 am Thursdays class, yelled at the class like we were a group of kids. Whenever we get a good instructor, they move them to another gym. Do not invest your time or money here.
They treat people like crap and refuse to accommodate those with disabilities and challenges. They restrict use of equipment and allow aerobics instructors to yell at PAYING customers. I was told I could work out when no classes were being held and the rude manager said that was meeting me half way. So I guess I have to quit my job or come out late at night to workout here.
Its gets a little packed here but not to crazy they have great variety of equipment its very clean here i actaullu really like thia LA fitness even better they Actaully have shower curtains here definite plus a lil more privacy that extra dollar spent goes long way shows they care about their members its little things i love this gym.
Literally worst customer service. Don’t gotta explain. If you people go you will find out ursef
The facility and staff here are incredible. Im only in LA for a few days monthly, but the manager made me an offer with their membership that I couldnt pass up. They have plenty of everything, whether swimming, cardio, free weights, machines, or sweating it out is your thing. California may be full of overwhelming people for an out-of-towner, but this place makes it bearable.
Place is clean. It can get busy so I schedule my workout at less busy hours. Shorter hours on weekends and wish they can extend to a later closing time for people like me who have to work on weekends.
Two story, so it has the space. The equipment is taken care of decently, not great. Hardly ever see any of the staff cleaning or rearranging. The customer service, its terrible. Little to no eye contact. Seems like the people that are at the front counter are either doing home work or are talking amongst them selfs. Seriously thinking about going back to 24.
Nice gym, clean equipment, seemed a bit smaller than other LA fitness and crowded parking lot.
After waiting for three different opening dates for the remodel, I came back to a new gym which is just ok. New machines are no better and no worse than other gyms in area. Staff rudeness is still an issue. I use the pool most of the time as I am handicapped and there are only two chairs in the pool area and there are on several occasions up to 8 clients in the pool. Many offers for a private instructor, explained i am receiving instruction from a physical therapist but was told they could do the same for me. Hmm, I wonder who has a physical therapy license?
I have always struggled with my weight, I joined many organizations and purchased many fad diet products. But it never came off and I became very depressed. Then Destiny had a deep conversation with me, she was REAL never gave me false hope, she has encouraged me not only in the club, but on facebook, and any other time I have the luck to run into her around town. She has been a firm rock that I have been able to get through alot of challenges... I quit smoking and all alcohol because of her encouragement, and proof that it raised my cholesterol and gave me that beer belly! I could go on all day, but the simple fact that she is someone I can trust and she believes in me! Thank you Destiny for all of your support!
Nice convenient facility. Not too busy after the morning rush. Older facility but kept well.
Much cleanee since the remodel but rook away some important equipment anf the wet sauna
For some reason this is the only location that I cant work out cause the persons in the kids club cant handle my baby Smh
Do you even gym if you dont check in and post about it?
Been coming to this Gym for years. Two men followes me home twice from L.A. Fitness Chino. Once they realized i was on to them following me, they sped away. Be careful. Alot of Predators at this Gym looking to harm Women .
Great environment, courteous members.
I came here while visiting a friend. The gym has no cleaning sprays. The equipment is too close to each other. Gym is surprisingly small inside. Not many equipment to use.
Everything is new and they have new equipment that is really fun to work out with .
The extra curricular staff, cycling, Zumba, yoga and one woman who has worked there for YEARS high marks. Receptionists cordial, but dont last too long. Member since 1994, its sad to have t post negative remarks, cycling equipment old as well as other quipment located upstairs. Another problem, equipment takes weeks to repair. Major concern, member juries
This facility has been changing the reopen date for a few weeks now... from the end of June up until now. Im sure this 7/10 date will change on the day of. This is ridiculous. Get your act together and stay on top of the contractors working with you. Huge inconvenience.
My wife and I went to use our 3 days free passes to evaluate LA Fitness since we had been to 24hr hour Fitness and like it very much, the experience was awful.1. Instead of letting us excercise and test the facilities they rather went on with their imposing 1 hour long sales pitch and questionaire2. When finally they decided to show us around the girl was asking us that had never been in the gym what we wanted to see, instead of having a pre-planned full Gym showcase3. When finally they come with their prices, they are not that competitive since they are missing several components among them they are not open 24 hours4. When finally we can move on to use the gym the lady says that if we dont have specifically a California Drivers license we cannot go into the gymThe manager then came and said that anybody would do, but my wife was already pissed so we just ended off leavingPS. The fact that we went with my Father-in-law a Gym member for 20 years didnt help at all, so they are not kind with you for your tenure either...
This gym had potential for being a 5 star now they just screwed it up. To start of the remodeling date kept being changed everytime saying there not finished. Then after being done the place smell like wet paint no biggy but then they go on and take away the steam room without asking or being concerned if their members wanted one. This place had the best steam room in the area now such a inconvenience and slap to their members. Then worse part they dont have ZERO hangers for you to put your towel or stuff in the pool area or in the mens sauna. This gym would have been top one if they kept their steam room and actually cared for their members! Seriously considering canceling my membership this company doesnt care for their members just their bank account taking their monthly share of doing nothing for us. If a new gym competitor raises up with sauna and steam room you bet they will be losing members if your going to pay for a expensive membership they might as well have everything available.
I dont like places that gets you to be there with lies
The morning staff does a great job...especially Amber.
The equipment and gym are needing improvement and upgrade. Good gym and conveniently located.
Gross.. Small.. Dark.. Nasty pool.. Do NOT go here.
I worked out here for 3 days and thought it was great!
A lot of machines available and ready to work out, the only think wrong is the restrooms so gross because the Asians do their nesecities out side of the toilet, they dont clean up aftet themselves.
Good place toworkout
It has a daycare and the staff is nice. Has everything you need but the place needs an upgrade.
Stop advertising me those private trainings...45 bucks for 20 mintues? You should go to beverly hills BTW the whole gym smells terrible. Looking for another gym closeby, any recoms?
Great gym with big selection of equipment
Just remodeled, new machines, everything looks nice
Bigger queues here then at Disney land.. stupid honestly you will lose motivation if you train here
One of the staff members (middle-aged, no hair, darker/olive skinned, hefty, male) was shouting at another male staff member from his open desk next to the main greeting/reception area. The guy was saying Ill make you shut up, and eff-this and cussing and degrading the male sitting at the desk adjacent behind the false wall. Everyone working out near the front area could hear this staff member and was looking over at him. He was making everyone uncomfortable including the Latina staff girl at the reception desk and gentleman sitting in the chairs up front. It was so unprofessional and invasive the guy should be fired. He made the guests that could hear him have an unpleasant gym experience not to mention the staff that he works with. I suppose he was a GM which makes it even worse as a brand image for LA Fitness and their corporate offices. I dont want to work out there again.
I just finished fitness card, this gym began to renovate, decoration for a long time, but also continue to pull the date, I did not have a few times. The gym is very bad
