Good place to go with good equipment. Gym is on the small side but since they opened it up a little there is a lot more room. Staff is friendly and always cardio equipment open. Like all gyms they tend to get busy around 3-5 pm. Would say it is worth the membership if you live close
Cancelled my membership Almost a year ago but they instead documented that they had a COVID freeze for a month . I haven’t been going to the gym but they have been charging my bank all this time .No refund , no communications , nothing! I hope nobody had my negative experience with this place ! So sorry I signed up .
Solid gym with solid equipment. As long as you go at the right times its great. They just expanded so that helps with the space issues they had previously.Everyone who says theres no mask wearing here is full of it. Its a gym. People need to be able to breathe to exercise so people take it off to catch a quick breather and they put it back on almost immediately. Some people are just a bunch of virtue signaling children. Dont let people like that hold you back from going to a good gym.My only complaint, sometimes the opener doesnt show. Very rarely, but its happened more than once. Currently waiting for them now so going to have to come back and try again later today. Pretty annoying.
Purchased a multi club membership a long time ago while my nearest home location in claremont was closed. they did not inform me that their branch has only a handful of partner locations and my home gym was not one of them.
Loved the experience with my friend itwas fresh inside and they had sanitary stations where u grab a wipe and wipe down equipment when your going to use it and after using it
The manager Danny was very nice and courteous. There were dedicated staff cleaning machines throughout my 3 hour workout. Everyone was wearing a mask and the gym was very clean. I was very happy to see dedicated solution bottles so we customers can clean our own machines before and after using them. I would recommend this gym as it is clean and sanitary. Better prices than crunch as well. People need gyms to cope with this pandemic and this gym is doing a great job. Good job Danny and team.
Nice place! Pretty busy but alot of equipment so not too difficult to get the work out I want. Only downside I can see is you have to re-register at every different fitness 19.

I was a member here for two weeks. I cancelled my membership due to the gym being out of the way for me but mostly because people do not wear their mask at this gym. Actually, half of the gym members have masks hanging off their chin and the other half are not wearing a mask at all. Management does not enforce rules AT ALL.The day I signed up for my membership, one of the regional managers assisted me in signing up for my membership. Not once did I see him going around asking gym members to put their mask back on.Also, when signing up for a membership, they ask for a credit card or debit card number AND an account number. Like a bank account number, for security. I thought this was very strange. I did not provide a bank account number and so I was to be charged extra every month but I cancelled my membership before the second month.I wouldve kept my membership if it wasnt for all of anti-maskers that attend this gym. It is a nice sized-gym with equipment just like 24 hour fitness.
Disappointing at best. On their website, they say they are following covid protocols but right at the reception desk it is clear they couldnt care less. Masks are encouraged, meaning most people dont even bother to carry one (let alone wear one) and nothing will be done about it. The social distancing they mention on their page? Inexistent - people here, with or without masks, have to work out shoulder to shoulder on treadmills. Cleaning supplies? Think more of a couple spray bottles and a huge roll of paper by the entrance. Absolutely irresponsible, money-grubbing management that enables those that choose to believe this pandemic is over when it clearly isnt. If you want a place that has a real protocol and enforces it, look elsewhere because Fitness 19 Chino is not it.
I had visited this location on a weekend since my location closes at 5pm, but what makes this location better is they close at 7pm. I also like this facility since they make use of their available space very efficiently and do not cluster their equipment. This is especially so since they also have weight platforms that some others dont have. Overall if this location is near you or because it closes later on weekends, I highly recommend. The only reason for not being a five star would be it simply is average when compared to the Rancho facility.
It was good to get back to the gym after 15months. Part pandemic and part shoulder injury.
Gym is packed, dirty, manager is sloppy, I have pictures of employees and manager not wearing their mask properly, restrooms are not well kept. Tissue paper towels and cleaning solutions are rarely available. I love working out and I song up and fitness 19 did not uphold there end of the contract and charged me for “breaking the contract” When I told them I have pictures of how dirty everything was and of the restrooms and people not wearing there mask properly the manager said “so what, we get these complaints all the time.” Just poor management overall
The staff is super nice, people clean after themselves. There is staff member that is always cleaning. They pently of disinfectant sprays around the area! I do enjoy coming for a great workout
I went in & canceled signed documents and till this day a year and few months later I see I am still being charged. Because the new manager new and has nothing that shows I canceled from the last managers mistake- he wont refund THEIR mistake. Not even from this last month! Pathetic! They must really be hurting for money if they cant refund me anything! Even though Im getting emails to COME BACK- But Im not canceled! DONT TRUST THEM!
Literally just joined this gym and 1 hr in I realized I made a big mistake. More then half of the people with there masks under there chins and some not even wearing a mask at all well lifting weights. Will be canceling my membership Asap just wasted my hard earned money on a membership.
Fitness 19 charged my an annual fee 1 month after I cancelled my membership. Manager said that they had the right for 90 days after my annual date, except my annual date that I signed up was 7 months after i cancelled. These charges are not right!

I’m surprised this place is even open during a pandemic considering it’s filthy, not to mention the entire gym is full of anti-maskers. Do yourself a favor and go to a different gym. The gym itself isn’t bad... just breaking every Covid rule without any city enforcement...the grantees don’t feel they need to wear a mask. Very scary health wise
I sign up for this gym because they had a promotion going and all the gyms were closed around my area and the one I workout at due to COVID-19. So I walked in the following day to sign up and was charged 97 dollars instead of the 1 dollar promotion. I asked him repeatedly 3 times what happen to the promotion. I don’t care about the money the fact that I was lied to and disrespected right in front of my face. After I left, I signed up through their website literally 10 minutes from walking in and signing up and filled everything out online I was being charged one dollar from the 97 dollars. The DISRESPECT. For some reason they needed my routing number and account number never once in my life did I need to give any gym my bank information. My gym is opening back up in my neighborhood so I would appreciate if you had any decency to respond to this review with a number or email to contact so I can cancel my membership with no charge. This gym is way over crowded looks like a DMV.
All these people complaining cause their gym is closed dont understand how privileged they are that this one happens to be open still. Guess what? You can stay home to workout and be safe.
This gym is seriously amazing. Found out they were open and COVID compliant about two months ago and I frequent there pretty often. First off, the staff is incredibly chill and nice. The guy who signed me up was so helpful and informative (and how cute he was didn’t hurt lol) his name is Nathan. Yaritza is also extremely nice and inviting which I give her huge props for since she works early in the morning 🤣 The man who sanitizes and deep cleans is also very friendly and courteous. All in all they have outstanding customer service and truly care about the safety of their employees. Masks are enforced as well as temperature checks when you first check in.Glad they’re fighting to stay open and essential! I feel so safe coming here and feel they are following guidelines really well. So if you’re nervous about compliance, don’t be!! Not at all disappointed that I signed up!

Stay away from this gym. 1st off the manger wears his mask just over his mouth and not his nose. Then, they tried to sneak in a late fee when I literally gave them my credit card and debit card to charge. When I paused my membership I was not told I still have to pay the annual cleaning fee. VERY poor communication and they have no clue what they’re doing.
I’ve been a member of Fitness19 for many years since they came up in California but at the Rancho Cucamonga gym, moved to Chino to and looked into Chino gym not knowing that there franchised so there included with all Fitness19. I joined there gym and to pay another fee, everything was going well never had or gave any issues but we got hit with Covid and things went south. California closed gyms do to Covid gym did put a notice that it was closed and ABC finical would try to collect there dues even when gym was closed. I did called gym like ABC finical told me to because they stayed there a 2nd party and I would need to call the gym but they were closed. Time passed and they gym decided to open back up but I did not receive any type of notice that they were going to open or that open but they did collect on there annual fee and once they opened they were trying to collect there monthly fee. I finally found out that they were open because I got a phone call in Nov 2020 from ABC Financial to let me know I’m over due on fees but I told gyms are closed and again they told call the gym and I did and the manager told me they are open. Making the story short so ABC Financial sent me to collections after 3months of none payment they never called me until Nov 2020 if they would called sonnet we wouldn’t be here now, I talk to manager at Fitness19 and they wouldn’t want to do much for me when I told them I didn’t know they were open and No one ever communicated with me and I would have to pay the past due and rejoin as new member which I think it’s of fair from all parties and I wouldn’t here where I’m at if the gym or someone would of called or sent me notice that the gym is open. They claim to care about your health and get you fit but at the end all there care about is $$$$$ and they don’t even have a corporate number to talk too..
Front desk staff is extremely unhelpful, dont ask for assistance because you will be met with a rudeness and unwillingness to answer the customers questions, 2 star experience overall

I understand businesses have to survive due to the pandemic but there are a ton of no maskers in the gym. I understand you have your right not to do whatever you want but this is about respecting others. You got high schoolers in there who probably have or had the virus spreading it because it doesn’t effect them like it does the elderly. There are pictures on another persons review.

I understand with Covid 19 the gym was closed.In watching the news as far as when gyms can open, hoping that would give insight as to when this gym will be open. In June, I called on Tuesday 1st week of the month, female answered they were open on Monday in the after noon, I went to the gym on Wednesday, it was closed. Did ask the female why they did not change the status to open in looking up your website, she said they forgot. You billed me 9.99 for June. Since then Ive called several times a day just to see if someone answers the phone, it just rang and rang with no recording of the gym being closed. I was charged for July al see o. Do not think I need to drive by every day to see if you are open because you can not update your website or phone message. I have contacted the Brea gym talked to Reed. Explained to him my disappointment. I would like a credit for the 2 months you billed me and probably alot others not knowing you were open since you did not update your website or phone message

They gave me a free pass and they called me 3 times (Daniel) to tell me that the free pass was waiting for me, when I got to the gym for the free pass I showed the pass a jackie and she told me she could not give me anything, I mentioned the calls and she told me, I didnt know anything and couldnt help me

I drove like 30 minutes to this location because its on my way home, from work, and the staff dont allow me to work out, apparently they dont honor the subscription on others location....real disappointing place

Been a member for about a year. I like that it is not very crowded and fairly clean. But showing up for workouts on weekends and no worker showing up to open up is unacceptable business practice. Also the same two stair climbers have been broken for months. Either fix or replace.
Ive been a member of LA Fitness 24 HR FITNESS and this gym is just as good if not better. Its clean, the kids club is convenient and less than the other gyms. I was able to sign up 2 older kids and my little one for the same cost as 1 membership at LA FITNESS AND 24 HR. Cant beat that....

Awesome machines, staff, and huge location! Biggest one Ive ever seen! Easily the size of a department store. Super clean and they have TANNING. This place knows what theyre doing. Also, this is definitely the nicest fitness 19. Looks like a small LA fitness
Nice gym and prices are great. To get the best deal there is some haggling. But overall you cannot beat the cheap monthly, and if you bring in other members you get more off of your monthly.Gets crazy busy after work. Classes seem pretty full and active. Machines are clean and there are a lot of them. Staff is friendly and helpful.The docked one star is for the need to haggle to get the best pricing.

Friendly staff and good equipment. They recently acquired a new massage machine. Theres also nice shopping stores in the same area such as a health store, coffee shop, donuts and pizza. To me this is a much better value for your dollar than 24 hour fitness. No complaints.

I like attending this gym in the mornings but lately the music playing is out of control, we need music to motivate us, not to fall asleep. First, we listened to country music for weeks on end and now they do not stop playing slow hip hop!!!! Myself and other gym attendees have complained to the staff before.Another thing, the girl in the morning does not attend the entrance, we have seen that as soon as certain boy arrives at a certain time she changes the music and is dedicated to talking with him. The machines are covered with dust, the music sounds horrible, the dirty restrooms also never have any soap, and there is not a person in the entrance receiving the clients because she spends her time talking with the guy. Simply put, do your job, and Put on different music ... to exercise!

The gym was great. But the cancellation policy was stupid. Cancellation had to be a month before your payment which means you end up paying yet another month before actually cancelling. Sounds like fraud to me.
Went in today to ask about down grading my membership, was told I would have to cancel and and pay a new sign up fee. The girl that assisted me was extremely rude, would not look at me, a young man walks in, she acknowledged him and then tells me she is listening even though she is not looking at me, attempted to speak again, she cut me off to speak to the young man again and then tells me to continue to speak all the while not even giving me the courtesy of eye contact. Another man came over cancelled my membership without even asking why I needed to down grade my membership, the gal went back to her desk , checked her teeth, covered her face so she could speak to her coworker, assuming about me! Never have I experienced such blatant rudeness at a place of business. Asked for a business card and was told they had none.
I was with fitness 19 for a year and I had my personal training with a women trainer. I left on vacation and when I came back my trainer was gone. I told them that I want to cancel my personal training contract because they didnt have a women trainer and they did, but they told me they had to charge me one more month. I told them why if they didnt let us know she was leaving and they just charge the payment a few days ago and I wouldnt not take any more classes because they didnt offer a women trainer. I talk to the manager Al but instead of trying to help me, he was blaming the trainer and that he couldnt do anything. really unprofessional
Ask questions about fees before joining. They charge fees for everything like locking in your monthly rate, annual fee, monthly fee, a fee if you want to downgrade your membership and a fee to transfer your membership. In 4 months I have paid them $200.00!!!
Great for the price. Gotta be flexible with your workouts because of some limitations (i.e. no available squat racks for an hour), but its rarely overcrowded.
I was given a day pass from a friend which did not specify anything except to show the email to the front. I was then denied access to the gym because my ID did not match the city I went to. Very annoying policy. I was strongly considering getting a month to month pass and now they have lost business because of this one encounter.

I like that its so low key and not a competition to be there. What this gym lacks is maintenance and lacks in the cleanliness category. Sweat splatters on cardio machines.
Very frustrated! I moved in February. I canceled my husband myself and my daughters membership on February 14th. My payments are due on the 15th of every month. I was told by the girl that canceled my membership and the manager that I had given my 30 day notice just on time. My concern was that my annual fee for all three of us is due in March but because I gave my 30 day notice be for the 15th I wouldn’t be charged the annual fee. They of course charge me the annual fee for all 3 of us. I called and spoke to the manager Darlene I emailed a copy of my statement and she submitted it for a refund. I waited a week and a half and no refund. When I called to asked when I should expect it. Darlene said they didn’t approve it because February was a short month so I technically didn’t give 30 day notice. I find this ridiculous. I also asked for her manager to call me His name is Danny. She said I just have to try and catch him when he’s there and he doesn’t have a set schedule. She said I should come in and try to catch him. I explained that I’m an hour and half away. Could you please leave a message to call me. She said I just have to just keep calling to try and catch him. This is insane. I feel ripped off. My family has been loyal customers since before this site even opened. We had to go to Norco until this site was ready.

I spoke a manager by the name of Al. I cancelled last year with a letter and a small piece plastic that said 19 hour fitness to cancel because I relocated to Florida. They said the never received it . I continued to call an no one was one Especially Al .... The manager, was helpful. So when I came to visit I had to file a police report with the Ontario police department for fraud. Al hung up on me over and over, he certainly did want the phone call recorded. He wouldnt give any information about the owner other than he doesnt handle business in the facility. I canceled over a year ago and they still were taking money out of my account. I stopped that and I sent a copy of the letter once again to the police department and letter to them. This will go to all of the credit bureaus. They take peoples money and then they have an I component staff. THIS NOT EXCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR!

Been coming here since this place opened. I get in, get what I need done, and get out. I dont complain about peak hours, because thats what they are, peak hours.
The gym itself is great how ever when i got the agreement i asked Danny when am i going to get my first bill and he stated the 24th of every month. I asked again and he said the 24th of e ey month. When i opened my statement from my bank i was charged $29.99 on the 31st. Therefor it made me have an insufficient funds because i was not explained that i will be charged on the 31st of every month when Danny told me that i would get billed on the 24th of every month. He failed to tell me that even tho i asked him 2 times. When i went on to speak to somebody about on Sat Feb 2nd the brunette that was supposed to help me was laughing as if it where a joke. Thats the worst that you can do to a person when that person was not informed of the charge. I did not read the electronic email about the billing because of the information that was not told to me even tho Danny told me something false. If you going to offer customer service do not laugh it isnt funny at all. This is my Money that i worked hard for. It should be explained in a correct matter not what they feel like saying. Very unprofessional not happy at all.

If there is a class action law suit in the works against Fitness 19 please contact me, I definitely want to be part of it. These people at fitness 19 play real dumb when someone is trying to terminate their contract. All of a sudden they become incompetent and dont know how to stop the automatic payment. I notified them by letter on September 6 of my desire to terminate my contract. I was billed for September, which was fine but then came October, November and December and theyre still stealing from my bank account. Beware people! Im sure theres a lot of members out there that have been wronged and have not reviewed. Its not a lot of money were talking about, but its the principal!

I get charged on the 15th of each month. I cancelled my membership on the 18th due to the weekend and was told that I had the month I just paid for plus one more month that I had paid for in advance when I signed up. I then got charged again this month! I called yesterday and was told I would receive a call from the manager Al when he got in at 10:00. I never received a call. I called back today and Al answered the phone. He then proceeded to tell me that because it was 2 days after my billing I would have to pay for another month and there was nothing he could do about it so I asked to speak to someone above him and he then told me that he is the District Manager and there was no one above him but the owner and he does not speak to customers. Can you believe this????? I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO NOT JOIN THIS GYM!

Not cool at all. Equipment may be newer but for the price go somewhere else. They will get you with hidden fees and annual fees and sign up fees. They will fee you so much you will think youre paying for a membership at a big name gym. stay away. Now I am afraid of cancellation because of another review. I may just cancel my credit card all together based on JDs experience with them.

Management finally got rid of inconsiderate and some what arrogant personal trainers who seemed to find it ok to text and snack while training individuals.It seems like they have finally got it together. this gym is exactly what Ive been looking for in a workout facility. staff is extremely helpful and considerate, and you cant beat the price.went from 3 to 5 stars in my book.thanks Fitness 19. The memberships may be cheap, but you get exactly what you pay for with this gym. The thing I am most concerned about though is their customer service, because its terrible! I have been in a number of times and am not greeted when I enter or when I leave. I left 24 hr fitness to sign up with fitness 19, and theres a big difference in etiquette. Its not that hard to acknowledge someone when they walk in or ask if they need help with something instead of looking annoyed or put out when you tell them you need something. Also their restrooms are almost always dirty and not stocked. This gym needs some work, but you get exactly what you pay for!
The club is okay, standard- nothing special. The exercise classes are pretty good. The staff is not very conscientious. Many times that I went in, they were just all sitting around the desk area. One time some young kids were taking pics of the women while in the Zumba Class. I reported it several times, before they finally did something. They talked to the kids, but did not ask them to leave the facility, which I did not feel was the appropriate response.I moved out of the area in July, and 3 months later, I have not been able to cancel my account and stop the automatic charges. I filled out the cancellation in the facility, but was told the computer was down. A month later, I was charged again. On September 4th, I went to the nearest Fitness19, obtained another cancellation slip, the young lady here called the Chino office, and I was assured that it would be cancelled, with a 30 day notice. Today, Oct. 15th, I was charged again. I called and was told that it was never received and I needed to send in another cancellation and would be held to yet another 30 day notice after it was received.To date, I have not been able to speak to any manager. Very DISAPPOINTED!
They need someone reliable to open up in the mornings the guy that opens up now is late everyday sometimes an hour to an hour and a half late its f****** ridiculous sitting in the parking lot waiting for him everyday why bother opening at 4:30 then

THE WORST GYM Ive ever had to deal with. A bunch of lying trainers who are just there to take advantage of kids and sign them up on contracts. Then when u go complain and cancel they continue to charge you because thats how small gyms like this stay in business by taking advantage of people and continue to charge them for no reason. They say one thing and then back out and do another. Dont sign up here!!!!. They will take forever to cancel if you ever need to. Ive asked plenty of times to talk to the owner and nothing.
They canceled my wifes membership for no reason. Said she broke the rules. But the person who broke the rules admitted it to the manager and owner in front of us, and they allowed her to stay. Wont refund my wife her lifetime membership that she paid. Scam. Chino does not need a businesd like this.

Manager is rude. I asked the day I signed up if deadlifting and squatting heavy was OK to do because I powerlift. Hes rudely come up to me 3 times in the middle of the workout telling me to not slam 485 lb deadlift...okay...lemme try to control that weight and break my back.Leaving to a different gym.
