This was a broker load, it took 2 hours total for loading. The only small complaint I have is they are a bit congested.I recommend parking on the street & walking back to the docks. Otherwise there is a good chance you will have to backup to the street anyway.There is a obvious large ramp to walk up into the warehouse where basically shipping is a guy sitting in warehouse at a desk. The guys were laid back and friendly. There is some parking on the street that you probably could park overnight.

Work with a great broker (Victoria Ortiz). She is very professional, honest and do what she says she will do for you. She treats me with respect, I wouldn’t work with anyone but Victoria at Sunset Pacific. A great broker to work with.

Been working with Sunset since 2017 and they are the best broker! Cass has always been great to me always helpful and in a good mood. The past 3 years Ive been with Victoria and I couldnt imagine working with anyone else shes always there with a load for me when I need her and even answers all my after hours calls and to top it off shes got a great sense of humor. I suggest all drivers looking for a load out of Socal to call Sunset and ask for Victoria.

Been here since 3pm told me load was ready at 11am and I could pick up then I knew that was a lie it’s now almost 9pm and I’m still NOT LOADED ! This is crazy but I’ve watched them load and unload trailers and other drivers all day including their own trucks . This will be my last load with them unless I am compensated for detention ! THE REVIEWS ARE TRUE !!

Had the exact same issue as Tom Kelly.... gave them a load for portland on tuesday, called for a update only to realize it would not move until 5days later. Now they want $500 to return the goods back. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Bad company.. EVA accused my driver of stealing wine bottles and send me a very nasty email instead of calling me to clear things up.. I emailed her the bol where shipper wrote about the missing bottles with labels intact. Received no apology, and only paid me 2 hours detention out of 4 hours.. Because i did not email her..Now shes mad and took the 2 hours she gave. And claims there is no times on bol !!!!! she edit the original!

This is the warning for all owner operators please please please avoid this company.I ignore the other driver’s reviews but now I regret 1000%.it is better to spend a day or 2 to find the load but don’t work for these guy and specially the guy name ANDREW.This guy is rude and he don’t care.I pick up his load and I am completely stick with no response at all.STOP STOP STOP

This has been the absolute worst trucking company I’ve dealt with. Gave them 2 loads last week (Friday) and they sat until middle of this week. One didn’t even leave until Thursday. They won’t give you updates. Act like you are a burden to them when asking for information. Left me on hold for 20 minutes then hung up on me. Couldn’t get me a pod for something that delivered Friday morning. I also sent their president and Vice President a message on LinkedIn with no response. These loads were first loads with new new customers of mine and they have tarnished a reputation of reliable service that I’ve worked hard to build. The worst part is complete lack of care that they have. I haven’t even started taking about the utter mess of a load they tried to deliver to my customer either. Pictures of that to follow.

Attention Carriers! Owner-Operator Drivers. These are conartists who do not pay to their own employees working overtime. They have high turn around of employees as no one wants to stay due to their dishonesty. The carelessness and deception transpires when you book loads from them. Do not rely on the load delivery and pick up information as it may be different from what they presented. You will never get paid as you suppose to just like they do not pay to their employees. Also check credit score and factoring rating before you haul any of their loads!!!

5 hours to load and then when I finally get out of there the load is way overweight for cali bridge law. You need to train your forklift drivers how to load a trailer. I pray to god I never have to come back here.

My husband and I are team drivers with our own authority, hauling around Sunsets trailers. We previously did the same thing, but with our own trailer. We love Sunset Pacific! It is LTL, but they really know what theyre doing with the delivery schedule. They charge a trailer rental fee, but its small and we think its worth it to be able to pick up the drop-and-hook loads. Everyone I have come in contact with has been super friendly and professional. Their pay changes every couple of weeks, and they always send out an e-mail with the new rates, so there are no surprises. And we find their pay to be very competitive. We are very happy to be back running with these guys!

Not as bad as it has been in the past.The operation is trying. They have nicer friendlier dispatchers and they have 7 forklifts to speed up loading. They offer to buy a meal if they take too long to load. The driver lounge is newly remodeled and is kept clean.

Worst company to ever work with, Starting with the brokers all the way to the warehouse. The broker dont even know what their doing. They put 5 different loads in one trailer expecting to deliver on time when one of the warehouses at the delivery delays on unloading the product. The warehouse in Chino, CA their very slow at loading the product they even block and brace the product without even telling the driver while his waiting or the dispatcher. They charge if your delayed at the deliveries even if something happens to the truck. I havent met a comapny like them, CARELESS COMPANY STAY AWAY FROM THEM. They would pay you a great rate BUT CHARGE YOU THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!

This Truck Pulling one of your Trailers on the Austin Highway 50 and hes going faster..he was Driving at a High Rate of Speed .the posted speed is 55 mph.and he was Tail gating me.right Behind a Fully Loaded Blazer going to Reno,NV for a Doctors Appointment. this Driver needs to be Fired or the Company of the Driver.Needs to Be Told about the way he Transport your Loads.Dont pass on the Responsibility of the Dangerous way he Drives this Truck. if! he hurts somebody or Family.they will come after.the transportation Company. meaning the truck company or your company for hiring the truck company.and you knew about this and did nothing. through the town of Fallon,NV posted speed is 25 mph. and he still speeding through town. I wish the police was around during this Idiots Driving.I did report and paper so you have been told.

If you plan on being loaded on time probably wont happen took over 7hrs an most of that was sitting on a street with signs that said no commercial truck parking. Was even there 30 minutes before load apt. as asked by them to do. Seems outfits like this an others thinks its all about them with no concern for the drivers as long as there freight gets moved and then puts the driver under the gun to make their appointment times when they cannot keep theirs. Like most companies if not all think the driver is dumb and replaceable and what companies like this dont get that if it wasnt for drivers they wouldnt have a company....people dnt understand that or just dont want too, drivers are the most important asset in your business respect and take care of them.

I do not recommend this company for owner-operators.Management forces constantly deceives with payments (salary).For example, one day my truck broke down on 80 miles from the unloading. So the manager Peggy charged me $ 300, explaining that its my responsibility to deliver the goods and I have to pay another driver for the delivery. Sunset paid me for the miles until the breakage, and for the remaining 80 miles I have to pay some other driver. That is, Sunset recieved money for all the miles from the customers, plus I was also charged $ 300 for delivery, because my truck broke down!!!There was a case when the trailer blow up tere. The trailer belongs to Sunset and its their responsibility. But the manager Peggy charged me $ 275 to repair the tire. Like if the tire popped, then its my responsibility and Im to blame.And the case after which I left Sanset. In Arizona, the highway patrol stopped me for an inspection. I got a warning for not having a paper logbook. Just in case, if my ELD breaks. Peggy charged me $ 500 violation fee!!!So if you are an owner-operator and decide to work with Sunset, then get ready for such frauds.And carefully check the settlement, because Sunset constantly forgets to pay for something. Miles or extra.Also, Sunset says that it gives you bonus accounts. Its fake. You can not remove anything from there. This is a virtual bonus.

We been working with sunset pacific for about seven years they always pay on time , they are very friendly and very easy to work with , the dispatchers, are very professional , specially , Ruth, Cassandra ,Michael and the Boss, Eli , in the warehouse , we always count on Fernando he is the boss , hes always in the good mood he knows how to run the were house !

Terrible service. They called to schedule a drop off at our warehouse at 9am, 3 hours later, still no truck. When I called to check the status, it took them 30 minutes just to have someone on the line and figured out where the truck was at. On top of that, i got transferred 10 times and all calls were transferred to someones voicemail, who hung up on me the first time i got a hold of someone at Sunset. After all the frustration, they stated truck had issues and they cannot be at our warehouse until the next day at 9AM. Interesting that no one reached out to Decorium Furniture to notify us about the truck delay/problem. Waste of time. I would give this review zero star if it was possible.

Terrible place to load 12 hours to get loaded

They tell you 1 hour for loading and took them 3 1/2, single forklift running all over the place,he was trying to load 4 trucks at the same time and held outside carriers last .this persons need training and and brokers should be informed,and also they have an attitude like if there where doing you a favor.
