Definitely recommend taking the family. Very educational and fun experience. I felt honored to stand at the Wings of honor wall and reading about some of the recognized combat veterans gave me chills. Definitely walked away with lots of pictures and a sense of pride for our country! Recommend bringing water and comfortable shoes. Big thumbs up 👍

Each 1st Saturday of every month, the museum holds a flying history event and flies one of their aircraft. I highly recommend this for everyone and its great for the family as questions are answered by the pilot and friendly staff. If you are an old B 52 bomber fan, this is a place for you to go and visit. Even outside of this museum is interesting too. There are old hangers where its houses smaller individual planes and other planes too.The museum itself is very organized too.I would recommend this place.

The best aviation museum in the greater Los Angeles area, if you are into aviation history. There are plenty of planes that are either the last example still flying or the last example in existence. They also have a library with aviation books from floor to ceiling and they put on a yearly airshow in which a large portion of the collection takes flight in. Be sure to stop by and experience one of the most important Air museums in the Nation!

Of course, I got a shirt to sport around town!

Lots of vendors there. We brought our own lawn chairs and filled our backpacks with water and snacks 👍

We bought our tickets on Groupon for a great deal. We went around noon on Sunday (Christmas Eve) and it was completely dead. 3 cars in the lot.We spent about an hour walking around, and looking at all the planes. It was interesting. They dont give you any history on the planes, which is disappointing. Just a map, with the names. There isnt anything interactive. You cant get inside any of them. There is a tiny helicopter outside with steps that are very wobbly, that you can climb in and take photos with. There are about 4 hangers with planes, then a bit outside. You must pay close attention. A lot of the planes are all over, and the wings and propellers are eye level. So you could easily get hurt if you dont pay attention. Also, where there are things roped off, the poles stick way out. I tripped over one.It was fun. A one time kind of thing. There is no place to get food. There are a few soda machines. A gift shop. Pretty pricy. We get shot glasses when we go places. Usually 3-5 bucks. Theres was 9. There are restrooms.Fun little place to go to waste an hour.

Great place to visit to see the restoration and flight of war planes in general. The events that they host are a one of a kind. Very knowledgeable staff ready to answer your aviation questions. Many great speakers like the ones yesterday, who are a testament of living history. Its a lifetime opportunity to go see the speakers, for theyre dying out and in their 90s.I cant wait until the 60th anniversary air show comes around the corner in May. It will be from the 6-7, and will be neat to watch.Im only 27 years of age but I have much respect for the ones who flew them to the ones who restore them.My grandpa flew over the Pacific in WWII to escort bombers with the P-51D Mustang, and thats what I saw yesterday. Unless you can peer into a back of a crowded hangar and tell youre looking at the rear end of 1936 German Bernleman Bomber as opposed to that of the 1947 British Airpooper (or God knows what else is lurking back there) probably best to wait until covid is a distant memory before visiting this otherwise esteemed living museum. The people there are still the best...true believers with an honorable mission to preserve our history. So I love this place and I want to support it. But my vote is send them a check for now but postpone the visit.
