Kevin is the most helpful, caring, knowledgeable mechanic with prices much less than those at dealerships. My family uses him exclusively whenever we have car issues. He is very responsive - promptly replying to texts/calls whenever there is a problem. He makes the process incredibly convenient - dropping off luxury rental cars at your location. He diagnoses and fixes issues quickly, being extremely transparent about the work he will be doing. Once you work with Kevin, you will have an expert ready whenever you need it!

Avant-Garde is the best automotive shop I have ever been to!! We have been taking our BMWs to them for years and have never been dissatisfied in any way. The owner, Kevin, is the most conscientious, honest and most knowledgeable mechanic our family has ever known. In addition to maintenance and any issues that may arise, he keeps our cars in the best condition! He also goes out of his way to pick up any car of ours that needs service. My daughter, a doctor, a surgical resident who doesnt have a lot of time, especially during the pandemic and having to work 17-18 hours a day, Kevin, without hesitation, would go and pick up her car for any maintenance she needed. I highly recommend Avant-Garde and can tell you its definitely a first class automotive shop with the highest integrity!

Kevin and his team really know what theyre doing when it comes to cars. I have brought two of cars to him and he fixed both in a timely and professional manner. If youre looking for a cheap shop thatll do a mediocre job then this shop is not for you. Prices are on the higher end but they do a great job.

Kevin is a superstar!!! I was stuck on the side of a mountain with my boyfriend and even aaa wouldnt come to get us, but Kevin offered to help pick us up and then fix the car (BMW X3). He fixed our car the same day and gave us a wonderful rental car in the meantime. I am blown away by his expertise (he coached us safely down the mountain when we were able to determine that the engine works and there was no danger). Fair prices, incredibly generous and knowledgable. I live in Santa Barbara but I want to make this my go-to if/when I have car trouble for my VW.

Was able to get a fast appointment remotely for an inspection done very quickly as a prospective car buyer---when I requested a further vetting of A/C on the car after the inspection, Kevin went to the sellers house and got it done! Incredible service and great, easy online payment system!

Did suspension repair 9 moths ago here, then two new tires of mine had flat while driving. Tire shop told me bad alignment caused this.Arranged alignment shop visits in multiple place, all recommended to take it back to the place where I had suspension fixed since every shop should have a warranty.Then called up this place and was told to bring the car over. While I was explaining the problems I had with alignment shop, I was kept being called a liar or I was lying.While bring two alignment shops on the phone, it was another round of name calling while those businesses were nice enough to be on the phone.What I expected was a full inspection into suspension, free of charge (while the repair was under warranty), along with facts.Have had other issues but could live with those.This is my personal experience, hopefully it helps you.
