Always a great time! But some updates from the last time I was there. Website does not get updated. Call if youre wondering about anything. They are only doing the 6 miles since covid could change at any time. But keep it in mind. The 11 and 19mile are only allowed to be started at 9am when they open. So make sure to call the day before to ask any questions. The prices are right online but I just wanna say I loved it. I always do. Great staff wonderful creek and even if it was hard to just cruise on through yesterday but that is fine. Also they have these things I call mini rapids which are just some rocks you got to navigate through.Stay safe have fun!

This trip owes me nothing! It was absolutely wonderful being out there on the water. It took us a little under 4 hours to travel 6.25 mi. The water was fairly low, and it was an easy going trip. The water did most of the work, and we only used our paddles to overcome some minor rocks and fallen trees in a couple spots. They were easy to maneuver; and, the sun was absolutely radiant. Staff were amazing too.

They dont take good care of their boats. They also gave me a boat that came with a hole already in it. Last, most of their kayaks dont have the plug on them so water doesnt get in. Therefore, if you want some fun on a river. Just go to the little Miami river. Better than what they got.

Never floated with them but they have let us park and float and have access in and out of the creek without complaints. Seem like really good people.

This was a father day gift 🎁 from my son Jamie Bryans. My first time kayaking great time water levels perfect 👌. The owner was great to talk with gave us great advice on what to look out for on our adventure. Got to see a eagle 2 times plus ➕ ducks and turtles 🐢.

This was the worst kayaking experience i have ever had. The kayaking route was nice but the business itself was absolutely horrible. There was no direction, stood around for over an hour, they did not have any kayaks ready. My friends kayak had holes in it. Getting into the water, they did not assist with getting your kayak in, it was a free for all, but of course they did not communicate that. Definetely needs ran better.

This past Sunday. We go at least once a year every year but we missed last year due to Covid-19. I almost always see bald eagles. This time we seen a younger juvenile that was getting his white in his head and tail but was still mottled. He circled over us low several times. When we were sure he had left he came back again.Nice relaxing float down the Paint Creek. We were the only ones on this trip but eventually caught up with some others dropped off an hour before us.

Cheap, low-key kayaking. They drive you 6 miles down the creek and you grab a kayak and paddle and get going - no guide, go at own pace. Creek is scenic and pretty peaceful. Their shortest trek (6 miles) was a little long for my kids, but we made it.

Nothing beats a day of Yakin with friends and family. There are options for distance (6 and 12 miles I believe) and they shuttle you to the drop off site up stream so you can Yak back to the livery (and your vehicles). You can bring your own boat or rent them if you want. They will load the boats for you. Not having to worry about the logistics of it all makes it worth the price.Additionally there are spots along the creek where you can beach and have some fun. About halfway from the 6 mile drop off, you can stop and use a rope to swing out and jump into the creek (at your own risk). Watch out for a large rock under the water near the edge or youll lose a toenail like I did one year... A bit farther down the creek you can stop and hang out on the Big Island where youll find a grill/fire pit and some space to have some fun with friends. I have not fished the creek but youll likely see a few others with their rods and reels trying their luck.FYI, You can bring coolers for refreshments and snacks (as long as your Yak has room). Overall, Ill keep coming back again and again!

Not good for newbies. The van to get to drop of point was absolutely disgusting and the driver drove terribly. Van just stopped amd I was left with my 2 daughters, no help getting into the water or any instruction. Thankfully there were 2 very nice young men also kayaking at the same time who helped us. Got stuck in a tree, almost tipped and lost my paddle in said tree within the first 20 mins. Had no contact info so my daughter and I took her paddle and made two one sided paddles. Scenery was beautiful, everyone on the river was extremely friendly. Made it back and the staff watched as I asked for help to get up the bank almost passing it. Jumped out as fast as I could because the current was still taking my kayak but ended up tipping and in the water completely. Still yelling for help, staff still just staring at me, had another woman who didnt work there help me. You really should make people aware that you are not good for beginners.

I like that it is priced by boat instead of per person. The staff were very nice, the man who drove us to our start point was very outgoing and offered some funny stories during the drive. They keep it simple but fun, nothing was complicated. Pay for your boat grab a life jacket and go. We had a blast.

Showed up, wasnt greeted very nicely at all. Left the site in what can only be called a potential serial killer van, so that we could drop off a few kayaks to another group who didnt have enough. Thats fine. Then we head to get dropped off at our spot, only to be short by 3 kayaks for our group. Youd think someone would count? As we wait for them to bring us more kayaks, we ask where our place to begin is... One worker points down a heavily overgrown path of steep rocks. Literally no help was offered to get down said rocks. Once our group took the kayaks down (after my husband fell down the rocks) there was no good place to enter the water. It was extremely steep so literally everyone in the group just had to slide down after their kayak and climb in muddy and wet. Help wouldve been appreciated. The river was great, but that had absolutely nothing to do with this business or their employees. Every other place Ive ever been is very friendly and its certainly an expectation to help guests into their kayaks/ get the kayaks to where they will at least leave from. They also didnt tell us any ending point or landmarks to look for... Not impressed and wont be returning. We did the 11 mile route just for informations sake.

We go kayaking a lot. The owner is great, always recognizes us, is very friendly and strikes up a conversation. His staff is awesome. They work hard loading, unloading the kayaks and the kayaks are always clean and in good condition. We normally go on the 6 mile float, relaxing! We have been on the 11 mile float, takes most of the day unless your a nonstop paddler. On the 11 mile it is pretty neat to see the classic cars on the edge of the creek.. people must not have know what a gold mine they had! Have yet to do the 19 mile. Ive been told that Coppers Mountain ( a hill to a California native ) can be seen. Coppers mountain is beautiful, Ive drove to the top of it in the past.

Great kayaking/canoe route. Not too long, but you can definitely make a full day out of it! If youre dropping your own kayaks/canoes in the water, and having someone pick you up, having a truck is highly recommended. The drop point has deep ruts and lots of mud - passenger cars beware.

Had fun on the water. I hadnt been on a canoe in 20 years. Paid got life vest then loaded in Van. When we got to the river the unloaded the canoe and were about to leave. No instructions given had to ask to make sure we just went down stream until we got back to the livery. Had fun but only way I knew we had reached the end was a small sign identify the livery. With really shallow Waters we grounded about 20 feet from shore. No one was aroundso we just left vest in canoe on the bank.

They werent very organized. We had our group trip booked for two days and we were supposed to be in the river by at least 11:30 am but they didnt load enough canoes or kayaks for us and we didnt have any paddles for the two canoes we did have. Had to wait an hour until someone could bring what we needed. Once we got out there it was great! Beautiful place to kayak and very friendly people. We did get some of our money refunded so that helped! I would go again.

We asked for the smallest package but was taken on the longest one. Not a family friendly place we got stuck tons of times on rocks .We got trapped against a tree and flood build up the canoe flipped and if to random guys hadnt stopped to help us we would have all died. When we called them and we were told we should feel honered and not her river not her problem . We found out the ower has been away dealing with a family emergency he refunded our money and was appalled by our experience. He will be cleaning up both the river and the staff
