The staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! He answered my questions I had about the violin I brought in( which I had minimal knowledge of).

My fiancé and I went in to have his guitar restrung today, it was after 6 pm and Ian took it and did it on the spot. Skyler was also super helpful with taking his info to pass on to an guitar teacher. Also the price was great. So glad we came here instead of The Guitar Center.

The staff at Music Connection is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I asked to have my guitar converted to a left-handed guitar and they did it for a very reasonable price. It looks and plays like new!

Took my guitar here for a setup, and a few days later also had the setup tweaked and some faulty pickups on my acoustic-electric guitar fixed as well. The prices were fair, and the staff was very friendly, helpful, and clearly super knowledgeable, which is helpful as a new player that doesnt know anything! This shop is 100% going to be my go to from now on, and Id recommend it to anyone in Chico.

Bruce did a fantastic job setting up my Fender Strat. He is also very knowledgeable and willing to share his knowledge which I thought was amazing. If you need any guitar repair or setup, he is the man! Music Connection for the win!

I have bought 3 guitars here. I always take a long time trying instruments out, listening to how each sounds and how they play. Staff gave me plenty of information, but never pressured for a sale. This is a great store that offers music lessons for all kinds of instruments. I recommend without hesitation.

Best place in chico. I brought my guitar in for a setup and when I wasn’t satisfied, I brought it back and Bruce and another lad (forgot his name) helped me out and made sure it was right for no extra charge.

Went there looking for a starter bass, the staff was super nice, and got me all set up with exactly what i wanted! great store, great price!

I took a subwoofer at this place for repair. I got a call back about 3 to 4 weeks later regarding the cost, i asked them to hold the subwoofer until i have a chance to pick it up within 2 weeks without repairs and i was told it was not a problem. 2 weeks later it was pouring rain and since i have a truck bed which is the only place where the subwoofer would fit, so i didnt not have a way of picking it up. i went today to get it and the person in repairs said that he threw the subwoofer away, because i took so long. He also claimed that he left a voicemail saying he would throw it away if i didnt pick it up. I had a message to pick it up, but he did not say that otherwise it would be tossed away.This was an expensive sub and the only thing it needed was a speaker, the amp on it was perfect and the box was in great shape. Anyone with common sense knows that they probably fixed it and sold it, given that everything was in great shape except for the speaker. I feel that they way they do business is dishonest and do not recommend this place to anyone.

Without all the imaginary hype of rock star egotism and institutional restrictions found in the owner of the primary downtown competitor, i learned that the music connection in chico is what a community engaging and friendly full service music store should be...my experience dealing with holly, sally, dan, and bruce... in that order... was all that could be hoped for by this aspiring professional mobile busker and fellow audio artist.with holly~ happiness in greeting a new friend was uplifting for sure... sally~ understanding the process of developing music material/original song crafting through experience was a given, dan~ as patient with presenting equipment functions as responsibility allowed, and bruce~ giving sound tech advice... i left the store as happy as i have ever left any store, knowing that i had acquired exactly what i needed for my future performance platform and application.thank yall so much!
