OJ On is just fantastic! On top of being really knowledgeable and skilled at skin diagnoses and procedures, he is such a friendly, funny guy. I have been extremely happy with OJ and Chico Dermatology, and feel very relaxed and in control of any skin issues I might have. My highest rating!

My husband and I came all the way from Redding for a skin check. All the staff and especially Dr. On were very nice and professional. They answered all of our questions and concerns. I would return and recommend all my family and friends to them. I especially loved the new technology he used to screen some of my moles he thought could be potential melanoma. He didnt have to remove moles unnecessarily. (Which I really appreciated)

I’ve been going to O. Jay for many years. Before moving to Chico, another dermatologist continuously prescribed medications and topicals to help clear my skin and nothing worked. I now have clear skin and haven’t had a pimple In years! All the staff is also amazing, Ausy at the front desk is so sweet!Highly recommend!

O Jay and his staff make a visit to the dermatologist something to look forward to. I have never encountered a medical professional who has absolutely mastered bedside manner like O Jay has. His positive attitude has been infused in his entire staff. He also knows his field inside and out and quickly and correctly identified an abnormal mole on my arm as cancerous and successfully removed it. You cant find better dermatological care anywhere!

Cannot say enough about the wonderful O.Jay ON and his great staff of professionals. I have had over the course of 50+ years had many skin issues due to many years of living on the beach and numerous watersports and outdoor activities. I have seen a number of dermatologists over the years due to living locations and after moving to Northern California I searched for a dermatologist that looks at a person as a Patient, not a dollar sign. It took me three times with others until I found O. Jay. From my initial visit to my most recent O. Jay has been a joy to see. His skills and knowledge are visible immediately and his manner is terrific. You are always greeted with a smile and his wit is a joy. I have needed biopsies and minor surgeries and although never fun he has the ability to make it as painless as possible and is bar none the best dermatologist I have ever had. I set the bar very high when it comes to my care and O. Jay leaps above it. My wife is a patient as well and was more than comfortable upon her first visit which required a full body review. The new office location is great, parking is a breeze and the office is beautiful. The Staff is terrific and always has a smile to greet you with. Look no further if you are in need of Dermatology needs. You will wish you had found him sooner. Many thanks to Chico Dermatology for exceeding patient expectations. If I could find one negative it would be I had not found him sooner.......

I’ve been taking my Mom to OJ for over 20 years and not only has he successfully treated her skin cancer and other issues professionally, he has always been personable, jovial and kind to my mother and I.He is also my dermatological PA and has correctly diagnosed and successfully treated the few skin issues I’ve had over the years.Our son has been going to him for a chronic, non curable skin disease and he is responding well to the medication and treatment plan. Our son has Downs Syndrome is shy and modest. OJ has is very understanding, patient and gentle in his approach.I recommended OJ to an elderly neighbor. She said for the first time in her experience requiring skin treatments for skin cancer from multiple dermatologists, she was finally treated with respect/gentleness and OJ ensured her treatments were pain free.OJ is a gem in Chico. He is often scheduled out at least 4-6 months, so if you have a skin issue, call and schedule an appointment ASAP and place yourself on the oncall list for unexpected cancellations to get in sooner as a new patient. He is well worth the wait if you are able to delay treatment. If it is a serious issue the office will try to schedule you sooner.

I would not recommend this place. I was lied to by the people at the front desk who told me my insurance would cover my procedure. But because they coded it differently after the procedure was complete because of a decision they made and didnt inform me of and I was charged $450. They contacted me after not billing me for a year and told me my account was past due and wanted $500 (late fees, from their error). I called and after all the employees refused to help I talked to Dr. OJ, he said he would do what he could and three days later he sent my account to a debt collector and wrecked my credit. Hes dodged all my calls since then. There are other options in Chico, chosen one that isnt as evil and unethical as Dr. OJ.

Their new location is great! You can tell they have put a lot of tlc into creating a professional and friendly environment. I have had 2 hydrafacials on the spa side and my skin had never looked better! A great place to go for high-quality skincare!

Good experiences in the past, but very bad experiences recently. He was an hour late to my appointment, didnt listen to anything I said, and filled a prescription that I dint ask for and then was forced to pay for by the pharmacy.

I cannot rate O.Jay and Barbara and the entire staff highly enough .100 stars out of 5. We drive all the way from Colfax 1-2x/week and they go out of their way to accommodate our schedule at odd hours. They have a genuine concern for their patients and are so nice and empathetic. We love them and cant thank them enough for treating Halles vitaligo. It is worth the drive from anywhere in Nocal if you are not happy your treatment elsewhere. The only negative is they are so popular and busy it may take a couple of months for your first visit but it is worth the wait. They have my permission to supply my phone number if anyone wants a reference. Thanks again.Chuck
