All around an amazing company. Everyone we talked to and worked with was so nice. The new windows and fresh doors we have on our house really look great! Highly recommend!

Ordered a screen door and exterior entry door March 31st. We were told 8-10 weeks before installation. Twice the person who did the scheduling was on vacation. Its 15 weeks later and no doors. We had new siding, soffit and gutters installed by one their competitors within a month. No communication and a bunch of BS from American Thermal. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. Next step is to file with Business Affairs and Consumer Protection with the city

Stanley and Jerry door installers did an awesome job. Even the City inspector said he has never seen such a detailed job like this. I love these doors. Very professional. Also all the customer service (Dee & Ruby) were so helpful and get things done.

The most unprofessional window company ever. We wanted to set up a meeting for windows replacement for one of our clients who hired us to handle the entire project after storm damage. The representative who answered the call was very ignorant and did not want to provide the estimate due to the fact we are not homeowners. I explained to her multiple times that the homeowner will be there and will sign any necessary paperwork but we were ask to look for a different company.

Wish I could give 10 stars because that is what the company as a whole deserves. Windows were installed 06/04/2021. Communication was excellent, experience was excellent, product is excellent , installation was excellent and customer care exceeded expectations. From the initial contact with Iver Jr to set up a free quote to the install, it was a pleasant experience. Iver Jr made me feel like part of the family, he set up the estimate and he personally came to my house to look at what we had and within a couple days he had my estimate set up. He recommended triple pane windows that have a three layer insulation on it and in reading up on it, it was one of the top windows which I especially appreciated because the summers and winters in Chicago can get very hot and very cold. So, looking forward to the energy savings and consistent temperature in the house. After I gave the ok with the window replacement, he called me and had a conversation where he was up front in saying that windows and installment is taking longer than normal due to COVID and the suppliers supply and demand needs. I appreciated the upfront honesty of saying that it will take longer than normal for the install but it will happen and will be in contact with me with updates. The 13-15 week time frame came and right around the 13 week mark I got notified that my windows are in. Linda and Rosie were in constant communication with me in regards to any questions that I had. The installer Tony came in the time frame that was provided. Tony was super nice and he informed me that he has been working for American Thermal for 15 years and his experience of installing windows showed because the windows look awesome from both the inside and the outside. The icing on the cake was when Iver Sr, the owner of the company came out to look at the work, talk with me to make sure that I was satisfied and was small talking for a solid 20 minutes. I can’t recommend them enough not just because of the great product they provide but because of the family orientated business they have and how it translates to its customers. I wish more companies would be like this.

I just called this company to get an initial consultation about the possible price of the installation of windows. Previously, I called this company. The manager was extremely nice and answered all questions that I asked. Today, when I called them, the manager was very rude. She kept telling me that they do not work with people who do not own properties (I was trying to get an estimate). I had 100 percent feeling that she just wanted to get rid of me. As a result, she told me that all sales managers went back home and there was nobody to help me. I hope that they have great workers who install windows. However, the first impression was terrible! Do not recommend.

We purchased a security storm door for our front door through American Thermal Window. We had Vitaly & Dema install the door, and they were very professional and quick. Our storm door looks beautiful, and we had a great experience with them. I highly recommend American Thermal Window for anyone who is looking for new windows or storm doors!

Had a fantastic experience with American Thermal and Iver. Bought a house earlier this year and we had signs of leaking after the first heavy rainfall. Iver quickly came out to assess the situation and provided a very reasonable quote compared to others. The team scheduled our roofing and were prompt on the day of the repair. The work they did was fantastic! Really appreciated their high quality work and great customer service. Highly recommend!

I recently had all new windows in my house installed, and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. I had explored other window vendors, but American Thermal came out on top for service, quality, and price. From the initial site visit to the day of installation, everything went smoothly. Bruno and Victor were incredibly hard-working, efficient, experienced, respectful, and friendly and were able to complete the job sooner than expected. I feel like I have a brand new house! Word cannot describe how satisfied we are with American Thermal Window! From initial visit to provide estimate, to visit for window measurement and final visit for installation, everything was Perfect! The Window installer named Victor is super professional, efficient, considerate and a phenomenal window installer. Weve had windows installed before and have never met such a quality window installer like Victor. I recommend the company to everyone!!!

If I could zero stars I would. This company is absolutely horrible and installs windows incorrectly. They are also known as Sahara Windows and Doors. The windows that were installed FAILED the inspection by the city inspector. The city inspector noted the window frames were improperly installed. The city inspector also further noted that the windows were unprofessionally installed. This companys chief engineer, the salesman, and installer that inspected the windows prior to the city inspector stated nothing was wrong with the installation despite windows frame extended beyond the structure of the home and excessive installation in some areas to cover their incorrect installation. I have had two other window companies review installation, and both companies have confirmed either the window size is not accurate or the installers did not center the window properly in the frame. I have requested on multiple occasions that the company return and remove and re-install the windows properly and they have refused to re-install the window properly and correct the issue of incorrect window frame installation. Run and run far from American Thermal Window and Doors and Sahara Windows and Doors. Again same company but different names.

My doors were installed beautifully and professionally. Not only are the frames very sturdy, but the weather resistance and energy efficiency has been improved. Both workers did a superb job and i get great joy from looking through the back sliding doors and the lovely pattern on my front door. One more thing. They removed and correctly reinstated my security pads so I didn’t have to have a special visit by my security team.

I ordered a new front door with a sidelight. When the door arrived, the installation was quickly scheduled. The installers Jerry and Stanley, arrived on time, installed my new door and left the area clean. They weather proofed the installation and they were efficient . The price isnt cheap but the quality of the product and the efficiency of the installers are worth the price.

Got different quotes from some of the big name companies, but we went with American Thermal Windows because they were very understanding of our concerns and made sure to answer all of my questions. The installation and overall experience with them was very pleasant and I will definitely be referring all my friends and family about them!

My landlords had purchased a building the prior year and some of the windows were old and of poor quality. After I contacted my landlord he contacted American Thermal Window and in a few weeks they came out and installed them. I literally went to work and came home and all of the windows in my unit were replaced in one day! The difference in insulation from the new windows is amazing. I cant believe that they got all my windows replaced so quickly.

I have used them for doors and windows on several houses over the years. Earlier this month I had a new door installed in my Moms house. They did a great job on a difficult install! Also the salesman knew his stuff and what was required for the area. I will continue to use them going forward.

We looked around at a lot of places, and this was by far the best service we received. They are friendly and knowledgeable, and very honest about providing the right product at the right price rather than up-selling or pushing name brands. While the location offered a good selection of models to view, the best part of the experience was the in-home estimate. They took the time to really understand our needs, and make sure we had our options explained. Best yet, we sat down and did the quote right on the spot so that they left with me knowing exactly what it would cost, and when we could expect delivery and installation. This is the way service should be.

We needed to replace 6 windows in our home. Stopped by American Thermal Windows and talked to Iver Jr., made an appointment for him to come out and give us an estimate. He recommended Great Lakes eco Smart windows. Love Love Love them. The process was seamless, couldnt have found a BETTER company to work with. My wife and I like to work with Family owned neighborhood businesses and this one is a Gem!!!! Stan and Jerry were the installers they were Fantastic. Very Professional installation. I cannot say this enough about how neat and clean they were. We are so happy with the windows. They make you feel like a family member. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND American Thermal Windows!!!!!!!!!

This company installed custom French doors for the back of my home about 5 years ago. Price was decent ($1800 for doors and installation) and the doors were beautiful. They also offered a lifetime warranty with the doors so we jumped on it immediately.Lately we have been noticing the lock on the door has become loose. Everything on the door is enact. The lock still works and the issue is within the lock. We called American to be proactive and see what could be done. We sent pictures and 2 weeks later were told that the lock was not part of the door and we would have to pay for parts and labor. I asked how much thinking it would not be over $60. I was wrong. I was quoted $180. I asked why wasnt a lock that literally came with the doors we purchased wasnt covered on the warranty and wasnt given a clear response.In the future, I will call elsewhere. I spent good money with this company and they seemed to forget that. I was really surprised that American couldnt be more help.

Terrible customer service. American Thermal wasted my time.Our first estimate was rescheduled the day before. I understand that sometimes emergencies come up. However, the second appointment was also cancelled! They then said that they could do an estimate from the Google image of our house online. It’s so inconsiderate to schedule and cancel TWO appointments, if neither was actually necessary in the first place! That’s a lot of time needed to take off of work for no result, since I never even received the promised estimate.

We had American Thermal Window install/replace 30+ casement windows and one sliding door in our residence. They did an excellent job from explaining our options to installing the windows. The install crew were very professional and knew their craft. I was very pleased with and will recommend American Thermal Window.

The company installed french doors and windows. i was told the new windows would keep our family room warm in winter. No such luck, it made no difference. Our french doors periodically become unhinged so they dont close very easily. The construction of the door frame was shoddy. We spent a lot of money with Mr Johnson based on his promises.

American Thermal Windows installed 13 new windows on 10/24/2014. My wife was ecstatic and she is a very demanding customer. She wanted a little extra caulk on one of the windows and Jerzi came today and did that. Now everything is perfect. Outstanding service after the sale. They want every customer 100% satisfied. Our salesman, Paul, gave us a demonstration of the vacuum deposition silver oxide triple pane windows and how they retain the heat so well. They are far superior to the pyrolytic low heat windows that the big box window people use. We had a party yesterday for Halloween and the guests complimented us on the windows. They noticed that the new windows retained the heat so well and did not rattle even though it was cold and windy. We had to turn our thermostat down from 72 to 68 because the new windows retained the heat so well. My wife and I watched the installation and Daniel and Adam were meticulous in their work. They put the insulation in perfectly in every window. If you want outstanding quality windows at a very fair price, and quality installation by people that take pride in their work, then give American Thermal Windows a chance to serve your needs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My husband and I decided it was time to replace our windows in our 80 year old home. We got 3 different estimates from local companies. Iver from American Thermal Window came out. He was very pleasant, knowledgable and gave a great demo on their windows. Although he was slightly higher than our other 2 estimates, we felt very comfortable doing business with him and American Thermal.About 5 weeks later we were notified that our windows (Great Lakes Window) had arrived and were ready for installation. Our installers came the following week. They were very neat, using drop cloths everywhere in and out. They were able to complete the 8 windows we had done in one day. When they were finished you could not even tell they were there. They even removed the stickers and windexed the glass for us!We have gotten nothing but comments on how great our new windows look from our friends and neighbors. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone! They definitely take pride in what they do!

The installation of our windows was smooth sailing. The crews punctual arrival, professional demeanor, and care for our personal belongings were greatly appreciated. The crew covered furniture and flooring to make sure debris was contained and made sure everything was immaculate upon completion. The crew also took the time to explain the window mechanics as well as tips and tricks for easy cleaning.Our journey doesnt end there. The backend office staff were super helpful.
