Be very careful if choosing to hire JV Studios. They have great energy up front, promised a lot and will have the intent to provide a great service. You must tell them shot for shot what you want and be ready to give very simple edit requests (ex. please ensure you keep someones title on the screen for at least 2 seconds so someone can read it). I think they have the ability to produce good work.However, if something goes wrong and youre not happy with the first draft of their videos, their inexperience in that situation as well as the owners in ability to drop his ego causes massive friction. We experienced this first hand. After giving multiple opportunities for the owner to apologize on his tone, aggressiveness, he was not able to do it. Instead he chose to talk down to us and blame us for having a lack of vision. Keep in mind we have created over 100+ videos with videographers in the past. Were not perfect, maybe it wasnt clear to them, but any creative process has to be a collaboration with shared accountability.We have worked with many videographers and this is our first bad experience with one. To be fair to JV, we did get to a final version of 4 of our 5 videos in the contract. However, we spent way too much time and money to get there and before we could get to the 5th we received a nasty email stating if we dont pay our final 50% he would hold our videos hostage. The invoice wasnt due until all videos were complete, we never received notice that we were moving to slow as we were often waiting for them. We will be paying quickly and hoping they provide our videos to us and after how aggressive the owner was, we decided it best to move on from the 5th video and not have it edited as it wasnt worth it.In Summary; These guys are young and still learning. If youre into that, go for it. I think they have talent, but when it comes to something going wrong, be warned, youll be in trouble, as they proved to use they cannot recover. For that reason, tread carefully.Please Note: I do not review many companies, I have worked with hundreds of vendors as a CEO, it takes a special circumstance and a ridiculous level of actions to get me to write a negative review. People need to be aware of what theyre getting into if choosing to hire JV studios.

I have used this cohesive company for small jobs such as creating a documentary out of hours and hours of GoPro footage all the way to big jobs such as a full wedding. Throughout each and every experience, they were never flattered or offput by requests, but rather enthusiastic about getting the job done to my liking.I use the word expertise because these guys are so versatile. If you just look at their resumes, there isnt much these guys havent done. From recording and producing entire music festivals across the country, to elaborate wedding shoots, to music videos, theyve really done it all.I use the word collaboration because of how easy and productive JV Studios is to work with. A big reason why I am taking the time to write this elaborate of a review for a company is because of this. Instead of guessing and/or cutting corners, yet still providing their expert opinion, these guys will make sure they have your expectations at the forefront of every job. An example of this comes from the short documentary they put together for me when they literally let me play around with the different video effects in order to find one I liked.Enjoyment.
