Must do! We had Keri as a guide and it was so much fun! It was our first time on a Segway and it only took a few minutes to figure it out. You have a training session before you go. There were 7 of us (4 of us were together) so it was a nice small group. It’s very easy to ride on. The tour was very good. So glad we took it.

I had fun, never done it before and really enjoyed the experience. Our tour guide made sure to remind us every chance he had that he lives off tips which got frustrating. Yes, he did a good job and was friendly. I think by default if I knew paying for a rental I had to pay for tips I would definitely still tip for a friendly experience, just don’t over do it and make the experience about tipping. Great staff otherwise and made things fun. Keep up the great work.

This is a must do tour, I would recommend doing it or as the very first activity after arriving to this beautiful city, or as a farewell tour to say goodbye to the city. We did the 6:00PM tour and it was great, you get to enjoy the city at dusk and early evening and how it lights up. Our tour guide, Jeremy, was great and funny and full of fun facts.Riding the segways was fun and they are quite safe, Jeremy made sure we were all taken care and looked after us.In short words. We booked the Lakefront and Museum Campus Segway Tour for four. Our tour guide was Hannah and she was GREAT!!! We visited several sites in the area and Hannah gave us some history about each location and did it with humor. We could tell she was passionate and really enjoyed taking us around. The segways were great, easy to use and even had a storage pouch on the front which was great for storing our purses and a compartment for our phones. It even rained a bit and we still enjoyed the tour. The two hours went by quickly. We stopped toward the end and had time to grab a bite. A really enjoyable time. I would highly recommend this tour. Hopefully you will get Hannah as your tour guide!!!

Let me preface this by saying this was my familys first Segway tour and it did not meet my expectations. It was me, my husband, our 16 year old daughter and our 14 year old son. I was frustrated by the fact that the tour guide was not loud enough for everyone to hear at the few spots where we stopped and half the time she would face the opposite direction from where we were so no one really heard anything she said. She often went much faster than the rest of the group was comfortable with and was often what I would consider a lengthy distance ahead of the group. In my opinion she did not adequately warn of dangers - for instance when the group had to go up a u shaped ramp she did not warn everyone to slow down (either at the beginning of the tour or before we got to the ramp) and be careful to not let the wheels go off the concrete. My son (not knowing any different) took the ramp a bit too fast and fell off the Segway and had his leg caught under the Segway until she could manage to get back to where we were and help get the Segway off of him. She then turned down the speed on the Segway he was riding which was even more frustrating to me. After that she warned us about taking ramps at lower speeds and watching your wheels but that did not help the cut on my sons leg. Another individual (not in our group) came off her Segway 2-3 separate times and the guide had to come back to help her (the rider didnt seem to be doing anything in particular to make that happen but Im not sure). The tour was then topped off by the guide asking for tips (which I dont mind and I get its a service industry) and stating that $100 tip is appropriate for a great tour. This in addition to the cost of the tour was not appropriate in my opinion. We left and I was very frustrated. We started a few minutes late and ended early and I did not leave feeling I got the 2 hour tour that was promised. Just my thoughts - take them for what they are worth.

What a fun way to explore the City,especially if you travel with teens. ( though it was super fun for the adults too) Shaun our guide was fantastic and made this whole experience interesting and exciting for our group.I highly recommend Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours!

This was a wonderful experience! We did the haunted tour. It was very informative and interesting! Our guide was great and knowledgeable! She made sure everyone felt comfortable before taking off on the tour! There were some very busy areas with pedestrians and some people wouldn’t move for us but our guide made sure to wait for us and even come back for us and encourage people to let us by. We would definitely do it again!

Rode through several parks and along the waterway. We had several stops that we could get off segway and take photos. Looking forward to our next trip to Chicago so we can take another segway tour with Clark.

The whole thing was an absolute blast! The tours are awesome and they take you to the perfect views! Is a must when visiting. Plus they have great times unlike others. We had the greatest tour guide named Mike and he was awesome and a great teacher/guide.

Listen...everything was the way it was advertised and our tour guide Sarah was delightful and fun and enthusiastic. My complaint is about the way these are done generally. I didnt get on a Segway to stand around. You ride for 1 minute and then have to stop for 10 and listen to the history of various places in Chicago that you could just read about. We would have much preferred to keep moving. Stop for a sec for pics and keep moving. Overall...we should be enjoying the Segway wayyyyyy more. If you are interested in all the stories then this is perfect for you. We can read those...we just wanted to ride the Segway and see more than we could in shorter time than if Iwe were walking. They should offer a tour with more riding and less talking.

Friends and I took a tour today - first time for all of us on Segways. It was AWESOME. I’ll be honest - I was mostly looking forward to trying out a Segway. But I ended up learning a lot and really enjoying all of the information and interaction! I saw that Absolutely Chicago also does a tour at North Beach in Lincoln Park - so, I definitely plan on doing that one, too. HOT TIP from a newbie: be sure to tip your tour guide as you would your waiter! I was glad I happened to have grabbed cash in the morning.Five stars for 3 reasons:1. SAFETYTraining was very well scaffolded (a gradual release before heading out as a group). It took just under a half hour, and by the time the actual tour started, we all felt pretty confident. Throughout the tour our guide was constantly monitoring the group to make sure all are ok, on board, and comfortable. So, from start to finish I felt very safe and looked after.2. TOUR GUIDE QUALITYOur Guide (Pat) was very charismatic, funny, clearly experienced, and knowledgeable. He shared facts and stories with wit and an engaging cadence. From other reviews Ive read, it seems Absolutely Chicago makes sure their guides are personable and knowledgeable.3. And Jen was awesome, funny and offered a lot of information and fun facts while on the tour. We got awesome pics and most importantly great memories. And those who are worried due to the pandemic, every precaution was taken to keep us and the tour guide safe and things were disinfected. So def would go again next time I visit Chicago.

Excellent !!! Have been around Chicago a lot in my time living there and visiting...nothing compares to seeing it via Segway tour with this group! Its not at all hard to do, and is actually more relaxing and physically less challenging than I thought. Thoroughly enjoyed our Chicago Haunted Tour by Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours we took last night. I was a bit apprehensive because I had never been on a Segway before; however, now I want to buy one and they are actually a dealer too! And if you didn’t know, this is one of the most Covid-safe activities! Our guide, Cari - the thespian, was super professional and not only shared the horrifying history and purported stories of the city’s hauntings, she shared some historical facts about some of the other city’s past. The 2-hour tour covered a fairly large from Grant Park to Michigan Avenue and the Theater District. The entire staff was warm, helpful and welcoming. Know that they will run the tour in inclement weather unless there is lightening or the temp drops below 28 degrees. Don’t miss out on joining one of their tours! You won’t regret it!

A great way to see Chicago Lakefront and Michigan Ave. Pat, our guide was excellent, realizing quickly the we had already done the river tour, he changed it up and gave us loads of little factoids that I dont think you normally get. He was very safety conscious, without making it dull, and very courteous to other lakefront users!We went on a Sunday morning and thankful we did as the lakefront gets really busy with runners, cyclists and pedestrians. It is great to see everyone sharing the space!! A Segway is a great fun way to get around such a beautiful City!!

We’ve done Segway tours before in other cities, but this one was, by far, the best ever! Our guide, Jen, was super thorough and made sure that we got the most out of the trip. She even gave us an opportunity to stop and experience our very first authentic Chicago style hot dog. The route was full of awesome opportunities to take pics, and she was a pleasure to talk to. Her knowledge of the city was amazing! I would definitely recommend this place again.​

We had a tour today with Raquel, it was outstanding. She spent a ton of time teaching us about the Segways and how to operate them properly. You feel very prepared and confident when you start the tour. The tour itself was great, her knowledge and enthusiasm for the city make the tour very special and memorable. I can not recommend this tour enough, and the tour company as well. If you can get Raquel do it, she is world class!

Took the haunted Segway tour with one other couple. There were some red flags that the other couple shouldnt have been allowed to continue but since they signed they waiver they let them continue at their own risk... Spoiler alert, they proved that they shouldnt have been on the tour. Regardless, was a good tour that hit up alot if fun locations learning some great Chicago history. Definitely want to go back for a different tour another day.

Had a great experience with Absolutely Chicago Segway tours. Only one of our group of 4 had ever used a Segway before but our guide A. J. was very good at giving us instructions on how to ride and gave us plenty of time to practice before we hit the streets on the Chicago Insider tour. We were out and toured for about 2 hours, stopping for pictures and restroom breaks and informational history on what we were seeing. Never a concern with any of the group regarding our Segway adventure. Definitely a 5 star rating and highly recommended!!

Today we went on our first Segway tour in Chicago and we booked with Absolutely Chicago Segway. Our guide, Peter, was awesome! He made sure we fully understood how to operate the Segways and that everyone in our group was comfortable before we set out.Although we are all lifelong Chicago residents Peter took us to a couple of places we hadn’t seen before and shared some interesting background on several major landmarks. We had a chance to take some great photos at museum campus and the view of the skyline near the Planetarium was gorgeous!Definitely something we will do again and will highly recommend to others.

This was by far the best tour I have ever taken. Tyler was our guide and was knowledge and witty as well making the tour that much more fun. Doing the tour on the Segway is so much better than walking or riding a bus. This was my first time on a Segway and I was riding fine with about 5 minutes of practice. We took the parks and River tour which I think is great. You see many of the park monuments, tour though the city learning about all the different architecture. Ride along the Chicago river and the waterfront of lake Michigan as well. Will definitely be back.

What a fabulous tour! It was a cold Chicago day, but we bundled up in the snowsuits provided by the company and enjoyed two hours on our Segways, learning about the history and beauty of the city. Jen was our guide and was so personable, knowledgeable, professional and enjoyable to be with. Highly recommend this company and plan to call them for another tour the next time we are in Chicago.

I went to Chicago for the first time, my family and I took this tour and it was wonderful. It was very informative and our tour guy I forgot his name, was very nice and was very knowledgeable about the Citys history. I like the fact that they gave us a gear to wear that really help with the cold I am from Sunny Florida so that help out a lot. I would recommend this tour to everyone it was a lot of fun!

We took the Chicago Lakefront/Museum tour last Saturday, May 12th. Since it was rather chilly when we showed up at 9 am, my husband and I were the only ones there, so we had a private tour by Dylan - and he was awesome! He was funny, knowledgeable, upbeat and willing to take pictures of us at various places. I wasnt sure I could ride a Segway, but it was a piece of cake. And so much fun! Absolutely loved our experience with Esme as our tour guide! We called for an appointment time the day of and everything ran on time. The training is thorough and safe so that you feel comfortable riding around on the Segway around Grant Park. Esme was not only informative about the art culture and facts about the area she also is a photographer and took pictures and videos for us that were just lovely! Had a great experience especially since our tour guide Dave was so patient, helpful and knowledgeable. He always looked out for the safety of his group. It was an awesome way to see Chicago. Our group ranged in ages from 15 years to 73 years and we all enjoyed our experience.

What a great way to see the city! They offer different tours suiting your interests (e.g. parks, rivers, architecture...). They guide was very personable and knowledgeable. They really made an effort to make this an enjoyable experience for all customers. I definitely recommend it. I couldnt ask for a greater lakefront experience. First a trip through grant park, then down the lake, and over to the museum and Soldier Field. As a life long Chicagoan, I appreciated the little history lessons that the guide was able to impart, those little things about the city that add color to our history. Guides are imminently qualified, and work to ensure that everyone has a safe experience. Couldnt be happier.

I was looking for something special to do with my daughters over Thanksgiving break. Taking a Segway Tour with Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours did not disappoint. We all had a great time! Weve all lived in Chicago all of our lives but had not ever seen so many things on the tour. Our tour guide was the best! So knowledgable and made the tour so fun! I would definitely recommend this as a great activity to do with your teenagers or older kids. Theyre the best and we will be back!

This was a whole lot of fun as well as a very instructive experience. Riding a segway makes it possible to cover a whole lot of ground without missing out anything (they are very easy and fun to ride). The tour guide, Pat, did an amazing job at fleshing out the history of Chicago’s wonderful skyline and Millenium Park, and the whole thing ended up with some pretty good tacos and a beautiful ride back by the lake. I absolutely recommend this tour.

Took the Museum Campus Tour with Tyler. He was awesome. Their video and instruction had me riding the Segway comfortably in no time. Tyler was very engaging and knowledgeable. It was so enjoyable that I plan to return!

My husband and I went on the evening Segway tour and it was awesome! I bought the your through Groupon and got a super deal. As we were on our way there, we got into a lot of traffic and knew we were going to be late, so I called ahead to let ten know. They were most helpful, telling us exactly where to park and how to find them. When we arrived almost 10 minutes late, they had been waiting for us and were very kind giving us a quick lesson and then we headed out. The evening was super fun as we toured different landmarks and attractions along the lake shore. I highly recommend!!! Super friendly staff.

I had a fantastic time with tour guide AJ with the 2.5 hour parks and museum area tour. No one else had booked the time slot so it was kinda like a private tour with my dad, myself, and AJ! We covered a lot of ground and saw fountains, landmarks, buildings, and had a great view of the lake and skyline. Im experienced with Segway but AJ was good in leading a safe tour and making sure we were having a good time. There were a few short breaks throughout to give us time to rest our feet/legs and take pics. Would definitely recommend!

We recently took a 2.5 hour lakefront/museum campus tour with Jen. It was 45 degrees and pouring down rain. Absolutely Segways provided everyone with rain jackets and ponchos. Jen did a wonderful job of keeping spirits high and continuing on with the tour despite the poor weather conditions. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our tour guide for the architecture tour was Josh. He was very knowlegable about the area and was one of the best parts of the experience. Dont get me wrong, the Segway ride was awesome all by itself, but Josh sealed it. We will definitely be going again.
