We recently bought a house that needed a major plumbing overhaul: all new copper pipes and a new water heater. I am very pleased that we hired Accurate Plumbing. Walt came out to give me an estimate before we even purchased the house. Once we owned the home, Walt handled the city permits. His crew was very professional, and Walt met with the city inspector to get their sign-off on the work. Most importantly, Walt was always available to answer our questions, and I really appreciate that. The price was fair, and the work was excellent. I highly recommend Walt and his team!

Had a problem with my kitchen drain, called Accurate and Jeff was able to come out immediately to diagnose and expertly fix my issue. Im more than happy with the service, however I ended up paying significantly more than I was originally quoted due to the job taking just about an hour... time was taken sitting out front when he got here, going back and forth to the van, removing gloves and taking other customers phone calls, etc. If Im paying by the minute then you should spend every second on my job. Seemed like milking the clock to wipe up, take time to write out invoice by hand, all to tell me it was over an hour so Ill be charged an additional $80. Not cool. Charged me for the extra ½ hour then took off quick, so he could charge the next customer for that same time, leaving my floor and under my sink disgusting, splashed with black muck from the drain. The sink on the other side was still clogged, presumably from back up, I had to remove the pipe under the sink to the P trap and clear it myself to complete a job I overpaid for.

Not long after moving into a new home, we had water bubbling into the walls, through the door frame, and down the hallway upstairs. Accurate correctly diagnosed over the phone that it was an A/C condensation pipe that was causing it. They were then able to schedule someone to come find the root cause much sooner than other plumbers. (Turns out a Freedom Heating & Cooling tech inadvertently kicked a pipe loose while rummaging through the attic to fix our busted A/C a few days prior). Problem solved, and Walt at Accurate hooked us up with Chicago Water and Fire Restoration, who did a fantastic job repairing the affected areas.Then another call to Accurate a month later, for two leaky sinks. Fast, friendly, very informative.Then again a few months after that for a hyperactive sump pump. Turns out our mechanical room is filled with things not up to code that the home inspector didnt catch. Like PVC encased in a tonne of concrete. Walt and his associate worked in the cold rain for several hours, installing a backup sump pump, and performing forensics to demystify our Frankenplumbing. Once done he was patient enough to explain everything in lay-terms, made sure I knew what to watch out for in the future, made suggestions for a home generator to power the sump pumps, and provided low-cost options for later plumbing renovations.Based on my experience, I can recommend without hesitation.

Showed up with 1 hr of calling. the part needed had to be ordered. the plumber told me to either install it myself or hire a handyman when it comes in as its an easy job that doesnt justify his $140/hr. real nice guy and honest.
