Another of Chicagos important architectural landmarks, classic Chicago School architecture... in brick. Fabulous brick building. First designed by Burnham and Root, constructed in 1891. Then a second half, the south portion of the Monadnock, by Holabird and Roche in 1893.I love the incredibly thick brick construction at the base of the Burnham and Root half of the building and the deep set windows. It just feels like a monument. A superior architectural photographic opportunity. Work that camera and lens!

Historic building and well maintained. Lots of law offices there. I went there to meet Attorney Jar Francis Lee of Francis Law Center. It was easy to find the building and parking spot.

My favorite hidden gem building in the Loop--walk through it on your commute if you can! I always do! Beautifully restored and with its quaint boutique shops, it feels like stepping through time.

This is possibly one of my favorite buildings in Chicago! The shops on the ground floor are perfectly curated and theres a sweet little yoga studio called Infinity tucked away on the third floor.

This building is incredibly impressive; a model of what every historic building in the city should be. The first floor is like stepping back in time, and everything is pristine. The shops are very fitting for this elegant place too. There are no corporate chains here, instead, one-of-a-kind shops. - Barber, mens and womens shoe stores, shoe shine, tobacco, sandwich, florist, cleaner/tailor, coffee, hat store.

One of my favourite places to visit when i come to Chicago. The building is an absolutely amazing time capsule. It feels like youve gone back in time 80 years. Aside from the amazing coffee from intelligentsia there is an old school flower shop, shoe repair place and fedora shop.

This is fine building in which to have an office. Small offices abound. The building management is very good and takes good care of this historic architectural icon. We recently renewed our lease and find the rates to be a good value for a Loop office. For a charming office that will make you feel like Sam Spade is your neighboring tenant, this is the place.

This place looks great from the yelp and google photos, and while i would recommend, in terms of quality asian fusion, it gets the job done but is nothing to write home about.

One of the oldest standing skyscrapers in the world. Definitely pay close attention to the change in design from the buildings North end to its South end. You can see how the builders began using structural steel (on the South end) halfway through the construction process.

Classic building packed with offices for small or single-person businesses. First floor houses a restaurant fit for the olden days as well as shops like a custom millinery shop.Fun fact: The front and back halves of the building were designed by two different architects, and the front is the 2nd largest brick and mortar structure in the world behind only the pyramids.
