April is amazing! The set up of the room is very welcoming, clean and relaxing! I was very nervous walking in since it was my first time but April does everything in her power to make you feel comfortable and takes things at your pace. The waxing itself wasnt painful in the least and I think its because of the skill and care she takes and the high quality products that were used. April is by far the best aesthetician I’ve ever been too (and I’ve been to many)! She is such a calming presence, adding to the ambiance of the space, but on top of that the Brazilian wax was painless for me. I know that is hard to believe!! In comparison, waxing my eyebrows is a very regular thing I do and I consider it very low or the threshold of painful and this Brazilian wax was LESS painful than that. My first time getting a wax was a month ago and When I say April makes the process comfortable. And not painful she’s very nice and made the wax easy. Update: I now return every 3 wks for wax services, & recently tried the brow tinting (which I loved too!), so far after one week with the tint on, I have noticed very little fading. Im actually shocked you had a perfect rating. All i had was a simple question and got spoken to like Im an idiot. If you want proof of the poor customer service, just look at the owners response. Instead of asking what was wrong to learn how to improve, you immediately accused me of being fake. I love coming to April to get my Brazilian waxes, by far she gives the best waxes I have ever received. She is cautious and diligent and makes sure that your wax is absolutely perfect. They arent painless, but Aprils patience and compassion make it much better. The wax she uses is high end and more closely tailored to the part of your body receiving the wax, to make the hair come up more easily and less painfully. The studio is clean and nicely decorated, she plays fun music, and is all around a great person. I wont be going anywhere else!

I went to Aprils new place in Wicker Park today for a Brazilian wax and brows. The spa was so comfortable and clean. April made me feel at ease and her waxing abilities made the Brazilian waxing virtually painless. I really was happy with the eyebrow shaping she did for me. 100% recommended this place.

I moved from Canada six months ago and have been shaving since then, regularly waxing before hand I knew the importance of finding the right person. April is a professional and truly knows her craft, her space is clean and private and her work efficient and priced fairly. For a near-bikini and lower half leg I was in and out in just under an hour. Her schedule being open sundays is another big factor for me as well as her location- simple to get to when coming from any direction! It’s been a week and a half with minimal growth back and only one ingrown (which I do not attribute to then waxing but rather my lack of exfoliation after) Id recommend Brazilian waxing without hesitation.

There are not many waxing places that truly cater to male clients on an equal basis, but this is one. April is extremely knowledgeable about all areas of waxing and knows the best type of wax to use to minimize discomfort. She has done my neck, shoulders, and back several times and Ive been very happy with the result. I have sensitive skin and worry about irritation and ingrown hairs, but this has not really been a problem. As a result of regular waxing, my hair has really thinned out and become much more manageable. Lastly, her spa is clean, comfortable, and inviting, as well as being very conveniently located to the train. Highly recommended.
