Nice staff. Spacious gym and good variety of gym equipment. Staff is nice and friendly. My favorite is the nice outdoor pool and bar, where it’s nice hang out from.

Worst management!Give you the wrong Information which made you pay more money and their response is we can’t help you!I was talking with one of the manager and he mentioned our general manager (Ryan) says that!!! I told him at the end you forced me to go and write a review for FFC west loop and he said WE DON’T CARE ABOUT REVIEWS!!!!!! What a perfect manager!!!!I don’t recommend this club to anyone and I won’t go there anymore. As a loyal customer I am very disappointed and thinking of changing my membership to other clubs!

I had a membership there and quit in February because the GM was psychotic if my mask slipped beneath my nose when I was running on the treadmill. They are the only gym in the city that gets this aggressive about it. My boyfriend and his brother still go here and this morning the GM went up to him and was physically standing over him because his mask fell beneath his nose. The machines are not socially distanced right now and the GM himself had his mask beneath his nose. They will both be cancelling their memberships as well. I go to gyms all over the city and no other establishment treats their members like this. Very nice gym and clean but would never go back to spend that kind of money and have somebody breathing down my neck like that. Regardless of covid guidelines, plenty of businesses enforce the mask mandate without being rude and aggressive and honestly just completely out of line about it. I know a handful of people that have quit this specific ffc location for exactly what I am saying. I am for a mask mandate if it means everyone is safer but you’re over the top.

The tour was great. The customer service is excellent. The facilities look exceptional. This would all be excellent if the cost was more reasonable . $90/ month is just way too much. Keep in mind this is more than double the cost of an average gym membership in the US.

Lana, (one of the people who do memberships) helped us get squared away for the gym locations, and offered us a great deal. She was very informative, and sweet. And great with children because she made sure our children felt at home and comfortable. Our 5 year old loved her and made a best friend. Very professional and made us feel comfortable. Toilet papers feels like sandpaper, would be nice to have a locked charging station for my phone while I workout but my girlfriend has no complaints. I have to admit thoooooo… its hella clean and there’s plenty of equipment. I love the views.

Great yet pricey. I utilize the gym consistently though so I will see the value. However, compared to $20 at planet fitness for a premium membership, it’s pricey. Yet there are pros and cons with things in life.

They openly refuse to enforce mask rules for Cook County here. Some staff members don’t wear them and many guests don’t either.Maybe that’s your thing, maybe it’s not.Either way, once Equinox in West Loop opens I’m out of here.

Rules for outdoor pool are all over the place you never know if you can use the pool or if they have a private party they dont post it unless you show up and they want to charge you extra $65 to use the outdoor pool. Rules are changing all the time and managers are very aggressive if you complain about not knowing the rules. Terrible customer service and terrible communication with customers regarding rules.

Great gym was a member until I moved away from the area. Visited this past weekend with a friend whos a current member: still super clean, well maintained, very friendly staff, and great equipment (and one of the best cardio areas of any gym).

Highly unprofessional! Expect communication only when you need to make payments. I purchased sessions that I didnt see on my mobile app and I couldnt even log into my account. I tried following up so many times on phone and also left messages with the receptionist to see someone in person or get a call back. No response. Two months passed but no response. Its after I removed my billing information from the app, I received an email after the billing deadline passed that I need to pay for next month along with late payment fee. When I emailed them about my concerns I received a response that payment is final and that they will not not waive off the fee. So dont expect any communication but keep paying the fee irrespective of whether you are using the services or not. Even the private sessions were so difficult to schedule.Update: is this the only platform that is monitored by your team? Since this is is visible to everyone?I contacted the manager as well after your response and there is no reply from his end. Also, my trainer was not responsible to handle my membership or payments!

While I continue to come here often, I’m very disappointed at FFC’s enforcement of their mask policy. I have spoken to management numerous times in the last few months about members not adequately following the policy (members wearing their masks only over their noses, or walking around with them on their chin), and while they say they do walkthroughs to enforce the rule, I am currently next to someone on my left with their nose out, and on my right who is an FFC employee not addressing this. While I do like the club’s equipment for the most part and believe this is only and issue during the pandemic, I still consider this a major failure on the part of FFC management, especially for the steep cost of membership.

Great gym, I love what theyve done with the space. But I have to take a star off for the indoor pool. If youre taller than 510 its too shallow to do laps in which makes it basically useless. Very disappointed.

The West Loop FFC is extremely nice. The instructors are great and make the classes challenging. The personal trainers are knowledgeable and strive to help you achieve your goals. The facility is very clean and up-kept very nicely. I have had the pleasure of working with Mike a membership director, who has been open, honest, and there for me when I have had a question. He has gone above and beyond for me and I would recommend him to anyone who wants to join FFC in the West Loop. Thank you for providing me the best customer experience I have ever had at a gym!

I love the way this club is set up. It has a fabulous womens locker room, showers, hair dryers, steam room, my goodness. The Manager, Rev. Michael Gorrell is the host of host. Loved his mannerism. I would recommend this establishment to all who want to get in shape year round. Kudos to FFC West Loop.

I mostly go to swim here and the pool is really nice except for one of the ends being too shallow (perhaps 3 ft). Need to be careful crawling on that end. Flip turns are also pretty tricky yet not impossible. But other than that its very nice. 6 lanes. Very nice lighting - love coming there after dark, the room lighting is somewhat dim but there is plenty of lights under the water. It creates really calm, mind relaxing atmosphere. Though during daytime its pleasant too - there is a sunroof so one can enjoy swimming in a sunlight.

I went here once when my usual FFC at Union Stations steam was out. Nice facility, people are definitely there to be seen. As a married guy(grateful to be out of that race) it can be a lot.

I have been a FFC member for 3 years and had a great experience. Its been a pleasant experience here thanks to the trainers. Paul Meyers (Personal Trainer) has made my swimming learning experience really pleasant and easy. Would definitely recommend this gym and the trainer for anyone who would like to learn swimming.

I have been a member of many gyms over the years. This is by far the best gym I have ever been a member of. Facilities are very well maintained from the exercise equipment to the locker room. Private lockers, laundry service, and complimentary monthly massage with some membership plans. The steam room is favorite way to relax after a workout and before the daily grind. All of the small things FFC provides to differentiate itself from other gyms add up. Love this place.

The best gym in the loop. Equipments are great, trainers are friendly and experienced. Membership includes towels, steam, sauna, free sessions (zumba, spin class, etc.) indoor pool and out door pool experiences.

Sales trap beware! Signed up about 90 days ago and they had a promotion with my company where they told me I get my $140 membership fee back after 30 check ins within 90 days. Its approaching the 90days mark and I check in with another rep, no!no!no! You gotta check in 36 times not 30. You got check in on different days, morning workout and evening count as one. You dont get your money back, you get it toward services not even toward membership. I was unsure about this gym because the reviews and prices but the rep talked me into believing I can get the 140 back with 30 check ins within 90 days.Guys I travel for work 4 days out of the week, and FFC loop closes at 9:30 and 8 on the weekends. 36 check ins for 90 days? It was literally impossible to accommodate my work schedule to begin with.Save your money and go somewhere else! I had great experience with Lakeview athletic association where they provided the same equipment and no deceiving advertising.

This seems like a very nice facility with kind and attentive staff. I only visited to bring a child I was babysitting to her swim lesson. I had to sign in at the front desk which was fine. But, although the desk attendant assured me they would not, the company emailed me about becoming a member. I would like them to either repair the gap in communication that allowed this to happen or be honest that I will receive an email.

Ive been an FFC member since 2008 and have always found a positive ROI of my membership dues. My membership level allows me to visit every location, and besides Oak Park, I have. The West Loop gym is hands-down the best location. The spacious weights area doesnt make me feel like Im competing for space. Their group fitness rooms are huge and the yoga studio is equipped for heat, which not all locations are. In the summer, every weekend youll fine my sister and I at the rooftop pool enjoying the low calorie beverages after a hard morning workout. They have a Protein Bar restaurant right inside as well.

1 Star for Manager Emily Stanley.I joined FFC West Loop in 2012 when I lived in Presidential Towers (PT). At that time, I was offered a discount rate which was never revised or reviewed over the years by staff at FFC West Loop. I moved out of Presidential Towers in late 2014. I was informed in December 2017 that my discount rate is no longer valid as I dont stay in PT anymore. I disputed the increase in charge as I thought I was not given Resident offer, but a holiday offer. The person I met in 2012 told me that they have a holiday offer (it was Thanksgiving /Christmas) going on. When I met Emily to discuss this, she was RACIST and RUDE. I told her that I think this was a holiday offer, not a resident offer. And even if it was a resident offer, it is not my fault that it was never reviewed. It is clearly the fault of Staff , management, audit team at FFC West Loop which never reviewed it. In turn, she told me that we have been doing you a FAVOR by not increasing the charge. How come an error overlooked by the companys employees is a FAVOR to its customers. I was shocked by her tone and behavior. Customers/Clients make a place by paying their monthly dues. You are not doing any favor to me as I didnt attend your gym free of charge and paid fees as mentioned in the agreement. If you have not revised the agreement, in no terms it is a FAVOR to me. And since you are not doing any FAVOR to the customers, I suggest the management & staff to be professional and polite to them.

With steadily increasing rates for current members (10% every 6 mos) and overcrowding during peak hours, Im not sure the price tag is worth it anymore unless perhaps you make good use of the classes and amenities. Its not a bad gym by any means, but the value proposition for typical gymgoers probably isnt there compared to the competition in the area.

This gym has all of the equipment and facilities you could ask for. In my experience, even at peak hours you never have to wait more than 5-10 minutes to squat / bench. 24/5 hours are really nice as well

Clean gym, friendly and helpful staff (Ive borrowed numerous hair ties from them). The facilities are great but I mostly go for the classes. Their hot yoga and spin are my favorite. They just upgraded all of their spin bikes. If you get the Premier membership it comes with a free locker, laundry and a massage each month. Totally worth it in my opinion.

Wonderful modern gym with great layout and amenities including food bar and video screens. Two swimming pools, indoor and outdoor. The outdoor pool is a great place to swim in summer, or just relax.

It has multiple studios, including a heated one, a huge, open strength floor, 2 cardio floors, an outdoor bar and pool and great instructors!

I had to work down the street, so I stopped in for a quick workout and to check it out. It seems clean and is very busy, even during normal work hours (so I wonder what post-work hours are like). It has a different atmosphere than the Gold Coast location, but its nice to have this option near the Loop.

Ive been a member here since it opened in 2011 and t is the cleanest gym I have ever been a member at. Just for reference, I have been a member at Lifetime Fitness, XSport and Cardinal Fitness.The desk and management are some of the nicest and friendliest people you will ever meet. It is isnt hard to stay motivated for pool season...oh yeah, the rooftop pool is awesome. Just make sure you get there early enough for a spot. Many people who dont belong to FFC buy day passes to take up our pool on the weekends.The weekends are best to work out if youre a local because it gets really crowded around 5:30-7pm when most people get out of work. Unfortunately, this is the time I go but I still enjoy most of the others there.Its just a really friendly place to work out and I would recommend it to anyone.

Convenient downtown location w parking validation. I go to swim laps and its my least favorite FFC pool. Very shallow (maybe 3 ft at one end), short (not 25m) and often cloudy. The steam room smells like mildew and is not that hot.

Good facility, 1 heavy bag, 25yrd pool, 3 lifting platforms, lots of cardio machines, large yoga/dance studio. The only downside is that membership is expensive.

The gym area equipment is good and pretty clean. However, it is too crowded and way too full of men without brains.The pool area looks nice but it is too COLD TO GO IN!! I asked management to raise temperature from 74 degrees to 78 (standard temp for lap swim) and they keep saying they will and never happens...They just lie to you...even having a public thermometer in the pool....absurd....I just gave up after two months asking everyday!!!!

Good gyms, hits most of the marks (weights, cardio, pool, spin, yoga, pilates, indoor/outdoor pools. Close to the high end gyms without the extreme price tag.

Two weeks ago, the West Loop location decided to decrease water pressure in the showers to save a few bucks and now FFC corporate bean counters are fielding complaints as a result. I have to say I am beyond perturbed by the fact I am paying $80 per month and cant even take a decent shower postworkout. It took management four months to replace the only leg extension machine after it malfunctioned and who knows what arises next that us members will have to digest months of belabored excuses for unacceptable outcomes.FFC West Loop is a dressed up version of Xsport or LA Fitness and costs almost 50% more on a monthly basis. If conditions do not improve, I plan to cancel my membership at the end of pool season (during which I will not be buying any of their $6 warm beers poolside).

Good gym and awesome marketing folks!! They can sell anything. Some trainers are great ( thank god I got one of them), but rest need to work on their time management, communication and stop staring away customers.I know a trainer who hits on every girl in the gym. It is very funny. The equipment count went down a lot this month and there were talks like gym is going out of business, but that is not true. In addition, they are getting rid of active trax, I hate it but there are apps like Nike training which I can try. New management is in money saving mode which is a concern for me as a customer. I love the pool and locker room.The gym is neat and clean always.

Best Club in Chicago! Clean, friendly, great classes - the Yoga instructors are great and match with professional Yoga studio instructors, its not like gym Yoga. The equipment is top of the line with plenty of space for everyone - no waiting. TVs are plentiful, the pools are clean. The Protein Bar right in the facility is awesome!

Overall everything is extremely well kept and never so busy that I couldnt use a machine I wanted. I would definitely recommend!

Location is nice and more if you live in PT Presidential Towers, the problem is that spinning bikes dont work, also there is not a court (basketball nor soccer nor something else). Membership is not life membership:) if you try to come back you gotta pay all again. Place gets packed around 7pm, it should be nice to have more space.

DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM IF YOU WANT TO USE YOUR MEMBERSHIP FOR FAMILY TIME!!! These people are a joke. We got our membership as a way of teaching our kids about physical fitness and to enjoy family time with them in the pool. However, they are NOT family friendly and cater only to those who obviously are stay at home parents, otherwise how would they expect anyone to abide by their insanely slim window where children are allowed in the pool area, during hours where the majority of parents are working..... not to mention the fact that when I asked their pool hours, I was told by faculty that it was all day on the weekends, yet when I showed up with my kids they indicated that no, it is adults only. Thanks for completely ruining a nice day with my family over your bullsh!t lack of communication.

Horrible company/ customer service. Good luck cancelling your membership, even with a month to month membership. I was billed months after first notifying the front desk of my intention to cancel (they failed to tell me it had to be done in writing). When I was finally able to cancel my membership, they failed to notify me that there was a remaining balance on the account. Three months later, I start getting calls from a collections agency, to find outs its FFC. Ive tried calling the gym multiple times for help, and the manager or billing departments are always in meetings or on the phone and they will have to call me back. Surprise, they never call back. A truly awful experience. Stay far away from this gym or risk getting scammed out of $400 and months of frustration.

Finally! A Gym with a pool, hot tub, clean locker rooms and enough equipment where I have waited is here. FFC in the West Loops is where I get swollen, but then I hit the hot tub and beach for 20 minutes. Its a great place for the price and the facility. Tell Tony, in sales, The Scott Emo Show sent ya!

I joined FFC in 2014. It was a comfortable gym with a wide variety of equipment, and good locations. I signed up for the Gold Coast location, the West Loop location, and the Union Station location. I enjoyed the vibe of the gym.In 2017, I felt that the service had dropped dramatically, especially at the West Loop location. Their standard for cleanliness was not keeping pace with the number of members. When I went to the gym, I noticed that usually one out of three towels had some weird yellow or black stuff on it. I saw people cleaning their shoes with the towels and others sneezing into the towels. Towels on the floor were a frequent sight. The steam rooms and showers were extremely slippery with soap water. The water fountains were stained. The gym was very crowded around the noon hour and after five PM, which made health problems even worse.This is my first review, because I usually don’t write reviews. However, I think FFC has gone too far. I feel that it is my responsibility to let others know so that they can avoid running into a similar situation.In early October of 2018, I took a shower at the West Loop location. They had put bleach inside the Shampoo bottle. Thinking that it was shampoo, I put bleach all over my hair and body, which began to burn. Before I realized it wasnt shampoo, the bleach went inside my eyes. I double-checked with the gym manager and she confirmed that there was bleach inside the shampoo bottle.I had to visit my doctor to make sure everything was ok. The general manager at the West Loop location never offered an apology. I emailed their head of operation/general manager, and they offered me three months worth of free dues and claimed it was a very “generous” offer, even though it didnt even cover my doctor’s fee.They never took it seriously or found how it had happened. One manager even hinted that it might be someone targeting me… Those kinds of replies just left me feeling that it would happen again. It would be just matter of time, I figured, so I decided to let people who were considering signing up with them to know how my experience has been. It might not be a good choice for you to join FFC, and you should probably reconsider. I hope my horrible experience can help you avoid a similar occurrence.I have filed a complaint with the BBB as well as the public health department. Very clean gym, and it has an open feeling. Its a little expensive, but you definitely pay for what youre getting. Classes come with the monthly charge, which is really nice when you dont feel like arranging your own workout, there are trainers available, and pilates training available, and everyone is friendly. Everything you might need is right in the gym, and if you really want to pay a little extra you can have them do your laundry.

Annie should teach all the yoga classes on the weekend. Shes like a blast of positive vibes and energy on Saturday, and then Amanda rains on everyones Sunday morning with all her negativity.

Busiest immediately after work, expect to have limited machines and weights access. newer than the union location, better equipment

Terrible experience while signing up for membership. Every time I enquired the first thing they told was that the fee will be hiked soon. One of the staff members I spoke to was very unpleasant to the extent of being rude. Sell your value proposition guys dont use price hike as a threat.

Perfect exercise , amazing workout machines , lively vibes, great PTs , outdoor and indoor pool .I love going to workout their . 0 stars - FFC billing scam. Be careful when you go to cancel your membership. I have been a member of FFC for over 2 years. I moved out of PT, so walked over to FFC and informed them to cancel my membership. The person at the desk said my membership will be cancelled. Later after a month I was billed. I talked to Simona from FFC, she was rude, and says i did not sign forms to cancel my membership. When i asked her why was i not told earlier when i informed to cancel, she says its my responsiblity to ask for forms, and she says there is no proof of me informing them to cancel my membership. I advice new members to ignore west loop ffc at any cost. if you are already a member, carry your video camera to shoot it as proof. so that they cant say tomorrow that there is no proof.

Great Chicago gym with access to multiple clubs. Top notch group exercise program.

Trainers and staff are nice. Females are ok. Male patrons are unnecessarily aggressive, and douchey.

Bad experience with the management. Come here every year when visiting Chicago. Its clear they do not communicate with one another and guest experience is not very important. I will be taking my business to east bank when visiting in the future.

The business manager of this branch daniela said in the comments our model is based on price integrity.The comment she made is very funny, because they question your integrity. The people in this branch have no honesty and accountability. I repeat, the people of this branch have NO HONESTY AND ACCOUNTABILITY.They bill you even after you tell them to cancel your membership. Their staff do not know the rules of how to end the membership and expect you to remember the membership ending clause you signed when you joined this gym. When you ask them to end your membership, remember to ask for forms to sign to end membership, if you dont ask, they wont offer you any forms to sign and they will lie on your face that your membership is ended but keep billing you. If you call to complain, a person named simona will take your call, and will say that they dont have any proof of us asking them to end the membership.I see from other reviews that most of them faced similar problems when ending membership. Beware guys, alert your friends who are members of this gym, to be very cautious and attentive when you approach them to end your membership, if not they will question your integrity, honesty and what not.I am sure, daniele will reply to this review and say they will make sure this mistake wont happen to others, but she wont care about what happened to me. In reality, i am 100% confident, they will do nothing. no body will call me and offer a solution, neither will you get a call. You will end up paying and also get questioned about your integrity.My 2 cents to you guys, find an honest gym, and ignore these scammers.

Average gym. Some trainers need a trainer. Always emptier than most gyms which is good. They serve alcohol here which is always good when youre trying to get in shape. The protein bar always has that beautiful somethings burning smell which drifts throughout the gym helping to cover up the Indian guys we never wear deodorant or shower smell. The manlets and liitle men here help you workout by never reracking anything.
