Cant beat unlimited rides for $9. Youll get the better deal on weekdays, when there are more routes traveled. On the weekends theres just one. Very nice and scenic and great way to get around.

The Chicago Water Taxi is a great and inexpensive way to view the city from a new perspective! I recommend getting the $8 day pass and taking all the routes. While there may be a wait time between transfers, that time can be spent walking around and exploring the areas. Furthermore, its possible to view schedules with their helpful website and plan the most convenient trip. And you can buy tickets in advance and present them on your phone (or print them out).If youve lived here all your life or just visiting for a few days, its still a fun experience. The boats are different in size and look, its great to explore and take pictures.

This is a must when you visit Chicago. Get the all day pass and go from Trump Tower to Chinatown. I think if during the week you can go to goose island also (never did that...yet).

6$ a person to take you from Michigan Ave to China Town in just under 40min with a pretty cool perspective of the city scape and skylines along the way. Its not a guided tour but there are other options for that if youre interested as well. Its a quick, inexpensive experience of Chicago and cheaper than a ride share but potentially wetter than the L in a rain shower.

Great ride! I had a friend in town and we took the water taxi to China town. Although I live downtown it was my first time taking it. Its definitely a fun thing to do when you have friends in town.

Convenient if your timing is just right, but I got the day pass on my first trip and couldnt get a water taxi at the end of the day.

If you dont want to shell out the bucks for the architectural river tour, the water taxi is an alternative. Its not a tour boat, so you gotta provide your own commentary. Or just clam up and enjoy the astonishing view.
