Ladies and Gentlemen,Please avoid this poor excuse of a staffing firm. They severely lack in the following areas:CommunicationTransparencyActive Listeners.Talking to my recruiter, Erica especially on my last assignment, was the equivalent of talking to a brick wall with one objective, MONEY. They do NOT care about your physical and mental health being Jeopardized in the place that they send you. Even after repeatedly asking to assign me somewhere else, it fell on deaf ears. Dont pay attention to the automated reply the Beacon Hill sends when you leave a review they dont care about improvement.

My recruiter felt extremely pushy as if only acting in their interests for their commission. This was fine until I was being pushed to move forward with an opportunity that we both agreed seemed highly toxic. If you have reasonable limits and communicate them respectfully they disregard you and keep pressuring you anyway. The response should have been, No worries, I understand. Well pass on this role and see what else becomes available. Since I couldnt be offered that response this tells me that their recruiters are either pressured themselves to drive business, money hungry in general, or they just havent figured out how to treat another human yet. Hopefully not the last one. But I get that staffing is sales, and sales is a numbers game. Im sure theyll find someone else who is desperate enough to be pushed around.

I decided I wanted to work downtown and was referred to Beacon Hill by a family member. Katie was amazing! I felt fully prepared for every interview that she scheduled me for, and after two interviews and two job offers I have an awesome job right downtown, with an amazing view from my office!!! Katie was absolutely professional every step of the way and was cognizant of my commute and scheduling needs. Katie did not miss any details!! I highly recommend Beacon Hill for all of your staffing needs!

My experience with Beacon was not only misleading, but the individual I worked with let me know that this agency doesnt really care about their clients. Commission is all they are seeking. I ended up finding something better through another agency. Then I also looked at other reviews and it was comforting to see that I was not the only one who felt that Beacon was money hungry and not loyal to the people they are so called helping.

I worked with Kyle, a friend referred me to this agency, and from the first phone call it was amazing. I was able to explain what I was looking for in a position over the phone then he set up an interview. Once at the interview he had two positions available one temp.to. hire and a 4 month assignment. I start in a few weeks on my new assignment. The first time I spoke with Kyle was last week. I love how fast they found an assignment for me, he even suggested changes I should make on my resume before he sent it to the company. Kyle was also great when it comes to response time via email and phone.

My recruiter did not return any further calls or emails after I followed up with more availability. Theres been no further explanation or contact for several days after Ive tried. I realize they may be busy, but after trying to reach out again this week with no response or indication that shes off, Im very disappointed. I got 1 job offer a few weeks in, but was busy. Later on I was called about a job I have similar to NO experience doing, and very little of what we ever discussed transpired. Id be happy to change this review if Im ever able to switch recruiters, or get notified of any work.

If you are looking for a temporary gig, Beacon-Hill does a good job at finding you one. I got in touch with them and was able to get a temporary job very fast as a web administrator to hold me over during job transitions. My recruiter stayed on top of things and kept in contact over the time. They did not leave me in the dust like other places. But if you are looking for something permanent, it did not do much good for me. Maybe just not the right fit for the job I was looking for, but oh well. Sometimes I felt a little pressured by my recruiter to say yes to things/opportunities. Overall the experience was fine.

0 stars wasnt an option so I had to go with 1. I thought about naming names in this review, but I thought better of it. In short, they get your hopes up, do not get back to you, and waste your time. Then when you havent heard from them in awhile, they have the audacity to reach out via email and ask if you know anyone looking for jobs and if you would refer Beacon Hill to them WHEN THEY HAVENT EVEN CARED TO HELP YOU. Do not waste your time. LaSalle Network is similar. Use a smaller, boutique recruiter that can dedicate more time to you.

Okay honestly, this company is a complete scam. I received a call from Mary one day and she said she was a recruiter that helped people find jobs. I became very interested because I was desperate to find a good professional job for the summer. I met with her in person and she took a copy of my passport and made me fill out other paper work. I thought it was legit until I left. During our meeting she told me she had all of these potential job opportunities for me and I was guaranteed to find a job. However, I emailed and called her and she never answered she only replied one week later to my email saying that supposedly all of the positions were being on hold. She said she would follow up with me whenever she found anything new. Its been three weeks since I met with her and honestly it was a complete waste of time. They dont help you find any jobs or give you any type of opportunities. Avoid this company and Mary.

Karen helped me tremendously, making sure to keep me informed every step of the way. She helped with my resume, interview, answered any questioned I had, and even bargained on my behalf with salary. My expectations for Beacon Hill Staffing was extremely high! Probably too high!! I had an interview last week with Cassandra Riley. Everything was great! She offered potential positions and sent me a link to complete an assessment. I completed the assessment the same day. However, Cassandra lacks communication skills. I called, emailed, and left messages with the front office clerk. She NEVER reached out to me. She never updated me regarding the job status or kept me in the loop regarding anything. This place is a joke and I will not recommend them. There are other agencies such as City Staffing. I made more progress with City Staffing in two days than Beacon Hill Staffing. Don’t waste your time!

If I could give no stars I would. Ive been with them for 6 months they havent offered anything in my field of study even though I told them it many times. Theyve lost all my info and paperwork about 3 times now saying its my fault each time. My case changed hands and I didnt know until I went out of my way and complained about being ghosted by them. I didnt ask for them they contacted me so I dont know why its so hard to all for real help. Not making me feel bad by making it seem like I can never get a job and that Im bother to them.

I was able to have an interview on the same day that I applied, and offered a position the next day. I was contacted by someone from Beacon Hill about possible positions I was eligible for. The recruiter I spoke with wanted me to take an ENTIRE DAY off for a POSSIBLE interview within 4 days. I tried to work things around at my job and was able to have time off for this interview. I tried to email and call me recruiter to make sure everything was set up as I was told and after that first discussion there was no further contact. DO NOT GO WITH THIS AGENCY. It is a effing scam and I wouldnt advise anyone to work with them. They will waste your time and give you hope about possible employment that in the long run was never really there.

Highly disappointed by this staffing agency. I worked with a recruiter who rudely called me to ask me questions about my LinkedIn profile (which I hadn’t updated). I was explaining to her that I hadn’t updated it and she continually badgered me with questions. Fine, I get her frustration. What I did not appreciate was the fact that due to this, I was crossed from their staffing agency and had I not asked, I would have never known. These people are something else.

This company definitely appears to be a scam. I interviewed with Meghan Ledden. They gathered ALL of my personal information quickly. She made all these grandeur promises about how they had openings and could place quickly. I even cleared my schedule for a supposed interview and then NOTHING. I havent heard from them at all, its been over a month. I tried to be patient with them before writing a review, but their lack of action and disregard for your time just shows how little they actually care. Clearly their abilities as a staffing agency are limited. Simply comunicating openly with your applicants would save your reputation, and limit the need to continously create false reviews. This agency is incompetent. Please dont waste your time.

I would not recommend using this agency.Ive owned my own agency and I saw ALL their tricks.Asking for candidates references up front, so they can use them for business development purposes. Thats wrong.Asking a candidate to meet face to face before you have even submitted to the company and you dont know if the company is interested. Thats just wrong and a waste of time.Asking to schedule a second call when during the first call the job details were covered. Thats wrong.Asking for a resume when the recruiter called the candidate and went over everything on the resume. Is just wrong.I will never allow them to make money from me and I suggest you find a better agency than this.

Karen Olshefski reached out to me via LinkedIn and invited me to come into the office to discuss what my career goals are and some opportunities she had available. She was easy to talk to - which to me is very important since individuals are often vulnerable in job searches - attentive, and informative, specifically in what they do at Beacon Hill Staffing Group. The most surprising part was that she offered for me to meet with someone from the temp to hire team, which was great because I was able to create two new contacts - Karen and Christina Polet. I say surprising because sometimes there is an impression of competition in the recruiting field, but not at Beacon Hill.Christina ended up being the one who helped me get the position I currently am in. She was wonderful to work with - kept me well informed with what was going on, gave her insights on what should be my next step, and overall someone who made looking for a new job less stressful. I am very thankful for all Christinas help, Karens initial message and introduction, and to Beacon Hill for being a great resource.

First off let me start by saying that I never worked for a place that showed outright discrimination. The recruiter (Katherine Santa-Maria) I worked with basically told me that I could only get this specific job because I decided to take time off and raise my child, and I wasn’t in a position to compete with other candidates. That pissed me off because before I took my 4 year break to be around for my son’s teenage years I worked for 10 years straight in various fields. I also have my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. They try to play off of people’s desperation and make them take a low paying job that they are over qualified for. I wasn’t desperate, I was just ready to get back to work after dealing with the aftermath of hurricane Harvey and coming back to Chicago. I went with the job anyway because she told me it fit my background and that once I went permanent the pay would increase. The other crazy part was she was unable to answer my questions about the position, and against my better judgement I started the job anyway just to get myself back out there. I don’t believe the recruiter I was working with was properly trained or knows how to properly communicate with people. I tried to ignore the way she made me feel because I just took it as she was young and inexperienced, and was never trained on how to talk to people. Those people in that office looked at me the way they looked at the other people they placed for the same position, desperate and uneducated. I am a business professional and majority of the people I was placed with weren’t, and I voiced that as well. I was just told that I would look better and perform better than them, and would have a better chance at placement. I felt that was ignorant too. I dont have anything against those who may be desperate or may not have higher education, but I know what I went through and what I paid for my education, and I won’t feel bad about it or not showcase my talents. I was more than qualified for other positions they had, but since I decided to raise my child and tell them I didn’t want to continue that specific job I wasn’t even considered for other positions. I’m pretty sure they were discriminating on more than just the fact of me being a mother, but of course they would deny that too. They get big contracts that they need to fill with workers, and it doesn’t matter what your qualifications are because it’s all about numbers. They try to talk you down from what you know you qualify for, and if you do take whatever job they’re pushing down your throat they don’t listen to your concerns about it. If you voice your concerns and end up leaving the position you won’t get placed again. I am a very organized and detail orientated person, and I felt that the company they had me work for was very unprofessional and wanted too much for very low pay. They lied about the job itself, what I would be doing, and how passing a test would determine if I could even keep the job or not. It wasn’t the testing I had a problem with, it was the fact that every time I turned around it was something different being done or said, and I saw how the company I was placed with takes advantage of temporary workers. How ironic is it to get placed at a company that helps people with low to no income receive housing and pays their workers a low wage where they could qualify for the same low income housing? But this review isn’t about the company I was placed with, it is about how unprofessional and full of it that Beacon-Hill is.

Interviewed with Cassandra Riley, she offered me a position and advised that the employer is hiring 200 new staff as soon as possible. She also advised to complete the software screenings, and then that will be the last step of the process to start working. I complete the software screenings and then follow up with her about the postion on a Monday. She calls me back Tuesday and states she wanted me to start another temp 2 week position instead of the original offer on Thursday and she would follow up with me with the details of the location and times of the temp job. Its been exactly 1 week and she has not followed up. Im extremely disappointing that I have been dragged around while I was in desperate need of a job. I dont recommend this staffing agency for those who are serious about starting a new position. P.S I have my bachelors degree and 3 years customer service experience, so its not like I am unqualified or would be hard to place.

I met with a representative at Beacon Hill on July 20th and all seemed positive. I reached out a few weeks later as I had not heard anything from them only to receive a somewhat snarky reply. As of October I still never heard of any opportunities or even an email checking in.
