I dont know if its a racial thing or something else but a guy who works there did get a little snappy with me at least twice. I dont why since I didnt do or say anything to warrant it (Im just going to assume its racial). My computer was fixed though so thats what matters I guess, right?So yeah I guess Id recommend this place to repair your computer unless youre black.

The charging port for my laptop was messed up and I was able to get it fixed within the same day, a few hours might I add. I went in the store around 11am and by 2pm it was fixed. The person who handled my computer was really nice and patient. This was my first time getting my laptop fixed so Im pleased with the results. It was quicker than having to go to my laptops brand or other tech repair shops. I recommend their services.

I have used their service twice over the past five-or-so years. Each time they did their best to meet my request. They responded in a timely, knowledgeable, and professional way. They remain my only source for computer issues.

It is my first time having to fix my HP laptop. They update me on any changes and price from the initial repair plan. Overall a very pleasant experience from handing them the laptop to getting it back in a better shape then when it came in.

Fast, responsive, super reasonable prices. I spilled a drink on my computer and it wouldnt even power on. I took it to MicroCenter and they sat on it for a month and didnt even look at it. Took it to Chicago ComputerLand and they had it fixed up and ready to go in just a few days for under $200. Couldnt ask for much more!

They took care of me, my Son dropped my laptop on the floor!! HTP Services wanted to much money and you had to wait for packaging to send it to them and receive it back. This Company delivered he ordered the new screen and by Monday after bringing it to them, I believe, that Wednesday I had my property back for $180+labor and it WORKS, they are a HTP and several other manufacturing companies certified repair experts. Try them you will not be disappointed.

Chicago ComputerLand has always been my go to for computer repairs. Ive had several computers repaired throughout the years and have never had a problem. They are fast and professional on all their repairs.

My son pushed in the power button of my laptop and we could not get it out to start it up. Other places charged me over $200 to fix it, and Chicago ComputerLand LLC popped the button out in two seconds and fixed it! No charge. Very friendly and great service. Will definitely use them again.

This guys are the best! I brought in my laptop at lunch after I tried replacing the WiFi card with no luck. The guy told me the price and that it would be ready at noon. When picking up the laptop he told me about the WiFi cable being damage and how he had to do some extra work on it. A broken cable was my biggest fear since I knew it would take more time and effort thus more money, but here it was not the case. The technician told me that we had agree on a previous price for the fix and he honored that! My laptop has not had a single drop in connection either WiFi or Bluetooth. Dell XPS 15 are notorious for wifi issues. Im glad to say that thanks to CCL my problems are fix! Will highly recommend.

I worked with Sorin. Really good folks. My ThinkPad was heating up a little and they cleaned it and put thermal paste. Works cooler now. The service charge was $120 but Im confident that I can rely on these guys if things go wrong.

I have never been happier with walk-in service in my life. I contacted after some DIY repairs to my Dell Inspiron laptop went south, I received a reply first thing in the morning that I could stop by anytime, and I was in and out in under 30 minutes with a fully functioning laptop. All that at an exceptionally low rate given my laptop required some replacement screws in addition to some professional attention.I can say for certain Ill be contacting these guys before I try any future laptop repairs myself, and I can not recommend more highly!

Excellent service! I tried for several days, without success, to remove a stripped screw from my Macbook Pro. I called several places in Chicago and the prices were ridiculously high for taking out the screw and I had to leave the computer for days or wait several hours. I took it to ComputerLand and they fixed it really quick! Very professional and polite service! Prices are amazing! I definitely recommend it!

From the google reviews on here I was excited but my Laptop was brought back mishandled and cracked, with part of the plastic chipped off. Went back to see for a solution, and they insisted on not being responsible and that its okay and normal to have and get cracks, as long as the issue is fixed. Told them they were responsible for this because it was not like that before I brought it in. They simply said they are not but they can replace it for extra money. Dont bring your hardware here unless you want to expect a little more cracks and dents when you pick it up. Im disappointed in their response to the situation and will look elsewhere in the future.Edit: Just received my charger and turned it on. Back lit keyboard does not work now and there is a bump in the keyboard as if it was re-inserted incorrectly.

Fast and friendly service, and reasonable prices. Brought an old external hard drive in that hadnt worked in years. They collected all the data from it, and gave me back all my content. Old family photos and videos saved! Very satisfied, and will be back.

I was very upset and on edge this morning as my BRAND NEW google pixel laptop wasnt working along well with me. I did a random google search, found an IT tech professional close to the neighborhood. Very friendly but expensive

My laptop had died and refused to charge. I had previously gotten advice from a different repair shop that I needed a new battery. I took it into Computer Land to get a quote and Aldi plugged it into his own charger and it started right up and began charging. He fixed my problem in 10 minutes with no cost.

When I was visiting Chicago and my laptop broke, I brought it here. Not only was Alex extremely friendly and helpful, they fixed my laptop for a super reasonable price in such short notice.

Stephan did a great job fixing my computer.I called on Friday, he answered my questions politely.I arrived at his store on Saturday 9 am. I had accidentally flipped the number 4 & letter e key pads off my laptop & tried to fix it by supergluing it. Bad idea. I told Stephan my problem & he fixed it within minutes. My boyfriend had ordered replacement key pads for me online which made the it much easier, I made a stupid mistake gluing the keypads back on, but Stephan never made me feel stupid when I explained my problem, which I really appreciate.What really stood out to me during my interaction with Stephan was his willingness to help people. While Stephan was fixing my laptop, a man came in, asked Stephan if he could use his computer to print out a paper & if Stephan could teach him how to scan or fax the sheet. Stephan told him sure, go ahead & log onto my computer. In entering an agreement for services, Chicago Computer Land says their staff will contact with updates within 24-48 hours. They do not do this consistently.At 50 hours, I had not heard from their staff and I contacted them. The technician who answered said they had to do further diagnostics. At 96 hours, I contacted them again and was told that they had diagnosed the issue at that point but had yet to find a solution.At 99 hours, a technician called and quoted a $299 repair ($190 for parts, $109 for labor). The root issue was still not addressed and now they were citing other problems that had not existed before they opened the laptop.I disputed the full diagnostic charge due to the technicians not meeting the service agreement - I offered to pay a portion for labor but not the full amount as they had not met the agreement. I was repeatedly given conflicting information by both the technician and the cited manager that I called. Eventually, they accepted the reduced payment.While waiting in the lobby, another customer who had overhead my conversation with the manager noted that he repeatedly experiences the same poor communication with their work on his personal and professional accounts.UPDATE:To address defensive comments made by staff in response to this review:*The laptop was opened one time before coming to them for solely diagnostic purposes. When the staff member discussed the superglue, he noted that the glue was very old. Thus, because nothing was done other than test the flow of power, no damage or gluing was done on my part.*The root issue was a power jack issue. This was very clear. Their staff could not diagnose this correctly and instead did damage that they then quoted a $300 repair for. They could not accurately diagnose a basic issue, the repair they proposed still would not address the root issue, thus it still would require MORE work after the $300 repair that they created the need for.*The only reason there was communication still after the time frame they quoted passed is because I called them.*Here are examples of the conflicting information:*The staff member said the diagnostics were completed Friday morning; he also said that they werent complete on Saturday which is why I had no contact.*The staff member said that the company emailed me on Friday morning when the diagnostics completed; after I asked for evidence of this as I received the initial email but no emails since, he apologized for a likely system error that had resulted in no email sent to me.*The manager said over the phone that no resolution could be made by phone as he needed to come in person to assess the issue; shortly after in the same conversation, the manager offered a discount as a resolution. He then later called (still not having come in person like he said was necessary) and accepted my resolution.*I do not know the person they name nor has anyone written a review on my behalf.Worth noting: The Better Business Bureau does have complaints on record with Chicago ComputerLand LLC.

I was told that i would have to pay over $300 to get my cracked screen fixed when i could just buy a new one but i didnt want to do that because the only thing that was wrong with my laptop was the cracked screen so i searched a few places and found these guys and i was hesitate at first but when i went in they were very helpful and they worked very fast my computer was fixed in less than an hour and the it didnt even cost 200 to get it fixed! i was very pleased with how fast they worked and how good of a job they did. everyone was so nice and helpful!

I broke the screen on my laptop and they replaced the screen for $160. Thats by far the best rate I found and a fraction of the cost of replacing the computer. I simply walked in, they took my computer and information, and had it fixed and ready to go 45 minutes later. Excellent service.

We use Chicago Computer land for our dental office IT support and networking issues. They are great. Always on time and very professional. They dont over charge us like the previous IT company we used. We are extremely happy. I highly recommend them.

The pricing here is definitely high for the services rendered. Charged me $120 to fix a fan, then when re-assembling my laptop, they cracked a plastic panel on the back; it no longer fits properly. When I asked them about the price, they said it was due to the fact that I had an expensive laptop. Fans are fans, the price of the rig shouldnt really play a part. I think theyre upcharging people who they think they can take advantage of. If you have anything like a gaming computer, its probably best to take your business elsewhere, since they will charge you more. To their credit, the issue I came in with (fan damage / clicking) is resolved, but Im not overly pleased with the service. Will not come back here for any future computer needs.

I got a referral from another vendor and I cant be happier. He was able to come by yesterday on very short notice and spent 2 hours running tests on my computer at my office. When the problem happened again (computer shutting down unexpectedly), he told me to bring it by for his team to run tests on it. After speaking with him today (the following day), he noted that the computer was running well and that it could be a possible power supply issue on my end. He did not charge me for the additional tests his company ran today (when I called, they already spent 2.5 hours running tests with no issues). I would highly recommend them for their quick service, and expertise in investigating this.

My cracked laptop screen was replaced quickly within the time frame they said initially and at a very fair price. I returned from a recent business trip late on a Saturday evening to find my laptop wouldnt power on whatsoever once I made it home. Fearing the worst, I looked for whoever I could find that would be open the next day (Sunday) to diagnose and repair this pending disaster ASAP. I found these guys on Yelp and saw that they were in my neighborhood and actually open the following day so I decided to go to them first. I couldnt have made a better decision.When I dropped by shortly after they opened up, they explained their diagnostic processing and rates, which were more than reasonable. They reassured me that they felt like it was a simple power source issue but let me know theyd open it up, test it, and (hopefully) repair it no later than the following day. I couldnt have been more relieved when they called me less than 24 hours later to let me know they fixed my power problem and my laptop was fine! I was thrilled to swing by later that day and pick it up, and Id like to note that their repair fees were EXTREMELY fair and reasonable.If you are having issues with your computer I cant recommend Chicago Computerland enough. Professional, courteous, and highly efficient. Reasonably priced and open on Sundays. What more could you ask for?

My laptop was fine in the morning...then later that day it was broken. Stopped into Chicago ComputerLand after reading the Google reviews and was not disappointed. Unfortunately, I needed a screen replacement, which was not cheap but was reasonably priced. I stopped in towards the end of the day, didnt have to wait at all, they knew what the problem was immediately, and had my laptop ready within 30 minutes. I hope I dont have to stop in again anytime soon, but if I have a problem, I know where to go to get quick, great service.
