I needed a bridesmaids dress hemmed for an upcoming wedding and had read great reviews from Mandy’s so I had to try it! I called and asked if they were able to take me in and they were able to get me in a few days after my call! Mandy is super sweet and had me come in for a fitting so she could determine how much the dress needed to be hemmed. She is an expert and so accommodating! I just picked up my dress today and the length is perfect Im so happy! I will definitely be back for any other alterations or dry cleaning too & will happily recommend to others too!

I needed to alter a two-piece bridesmaid dress, and went to Mandys after hearing good things from others in the neighborhood. My experience here was great. Making an appointment was simple, her work was exactly what I needed, and it was done in a reasonable amount of time. Mandy was really helpful to work with. She was really kind, offered professional suggestions but also heard what I wanted out of the alteration - you get two fittings which is super reassuring! Ive already sent another one of the bridesmaids to her for help with her dress and will definitely go back to her again.

Mandy saved me! My bridesmaids dress was late in arriving and I had 1 week before I stood as maid of honor, and the dress was fall-off-your-body big. Mandy was very responsive, answering my calls, getting me in same day, and taking care of my alterations. Prices are good, quality is good, and she’s just lovely to work with.

Mandy just saved the day. I received a bridesmaid dress that was inches away from zipping, despite being measured in the store. A new dress wouldn’t arrive for several months and not in time for the wedding. Mandy wasn’t able to add any more material, since the dress didn’t have any extra, but we worked together on a solution to lower the back so the zipper didn’t have to go up as high. The end result was perfect! She did a fantastic job and on a tight timeline. I will continue to bring my clothes to Mandy for alterations.

Took my bridesmaid dress to get altered here. The dress was probably one size too big but looked great after being finished. I am not sure if the dress started out poorly made since I made the error of ordering online from an aboard site (mistake #1) then I lost some weight and wanted it to be taken in more. I went to Mandys bc Yelp and Google mentioned quality and workmanship being great! Who doesnt want to look good on their special day.I give the alterations 3 star bc honestly it seemed sloppy work. There were loose threads and off stitching on my dress that made it look off sloopy. Again I am not sure if the dress was just too far gone from the online abroad site (note: do not order from JJHouse.com for your special day), when she started but a professional would have said something at the beginning. I went back to try it on when she was done. It didnt feel right. The waist still seemed high and the bust was hard to zip as if she made it too tight. I didnt mention it (mistake #2), but should have.At the end I had to mend a few things on my own.Overall, did I wear it, did I get compliments.. yes. I did. But I also didnt feel it was quality for a wedding alteration job. Mandys is affordable and timely so perhaps thats the compromise. She got the job done in a short amount of time and it was affodable. This may be a good place to go for simple mending.I am still searching for a tailor that provide quality workmanship without costing me an arm and a leg....and the search continues.

I’ve brought several pieces of vintage and non-vintage clothing to Mandy for alterations and she nails it every time with a smile!I have even been told by other tailors that certain pieces are unsalvageable, but Mandy took care of it and brought 2 vintage pairs of pants back to life. I had a leather jacket that needed a lot of TLC, one of the pockets was completely ripped up both on the outside and the lining. Mandy patched it up really well, I would definitely use their services again!

HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE. DO NOT GO HERE. THERE IS NO RECOURSE.Horribly horribly mean and a poor job.My favorite black dress was RUINED. Holes everywhere from safety pins that they had to put there. the entire silk dress was frayed with strings coming out, and not only that, IT WASNT CLEAN! there were dust marks, and chalky stains that werent even there when I dropped it off. I AM BEYOND UPSET.When I had already paid, and asked her to come look at the dress, she accused me of being cheap and not wanting to pay the $8.00....THAT I ALREADY PAID!I told her that $8.00 was nothing compared to the $200 I just lost. She threatened to call the police on me if I kept asking her for the cleaners direct number and didnt get out of her store.NEVER GO HERE. IT SMELLS. IT IS SMALL. Doesnt have a set rate for things so gauges you depending on how frequent a customer you are. Watch as she literally makes up a random high price in her mind when you walk in to pick up your items, especially if you only come in once every month or two like myself. What keeps her in business is the fact that she has a convenient prime location and somehow has the ability to work on such a high volume of items (cause she employs her family, hopefully she pays them something).She takes down your number and sometimes attempts to call you when your items are ready. Other times Ive come in to pick up the items and she says she called me and I didnt pick up even though I know its a lie since I have my calls forwarded to all my phones and none of them got a call from her.Because she literally takes whatever work that comes in and does it almost by herself expect your items to always be finished a day or two later than the time you set it for. 90% of my visits to pick up my items were greeted with the excuse that Oh I havent had the chance to work on it, itll be ready tomorrow. Sometimes she adds on that she called you to tell you about the delay even though its a lie.I noticed she usually doesnt start working on things until the day youre supposed to pick it up as well since I just needed a small hole stitched on a shirt and set a time for about 7 days later. I come in 6 days later and she still hadnt gotten around to stitching up the hole, something that literally could have been done in like 5 minutes. the whole reason I gave her a week was to give her time yet she waits until the last minute to start on it.The last thing I want to mention is that even though she packages everything nicely, as Ive seen with some dry cleaners sometimes they dont actually dry clean the items, just dust it off and iron it (or do nothing at all) to save themselves some expenses. Shes done it to me once or twice. The ridiculously made up high prices for the sub-par work isnt worth it in my book.Also note, as someone said before she doesnt use invisible stitching techniques for hems, patches, etc. so expect everyone to know youve had some work done and it also doesnt look as clean or nice.

Dropped off two pairs of jeans to have hemmed and a top coat to have a pocket repaired. A good job was done on the jeans but the coat wasnt ready when they told it would be. I was told they thought I needed it on Monday, not Saturday, even though the ticket had Saturday circled on it.

Nice lady but every other pant comes back with a hem out. 50% of the time. I finally realized Id never had that happen and did the math on how often their cleaning machine rips out my hems. Gotta get a different machine; that isnt common at any other cleaner Ive used.

Hours of operation are advertised both online and on the store door as opening at 7AM. On one occasion, I specifically woke up earlier than usual to get stuff to the cleaners by 7AM before having to leave for work and it was closed. WHen I went back that afternoon, I asked what the updated hours of operation were and the lady, presumably Mandy, said the opening hours depend on when she can get a ride. This inconsistency equates to poor customer service. Mandys also ripped one of my shirts, but charged me to clean it anyways. An inaudible voicemail was left while I was at work, which I later discovered was mandy informing me my clothing had been ripped and that she would clean it anyways. The damage to the shirt made it un-wearable, so its aggravating I was charged for the cleaning of an item I will never be able to wear again, which was not damaged on my watch. I decided to give Mandys another try because she was very friendly and apologetic when I picked up the clothes despite refusing to not charge me for the damaged shirt. I dropped my clothes off on Monday and was told they will not be ready until Friday at the earliest or next Monday. Given that all I dropped off was 3 pairs of pants, having to wait 5-7 days is perplexing. Mandys does not offer the option to expedite for an extra charge, so I will now have to wait an excessive amount of time for 3 pairs of pants. Once the pants are returned to me, i will never return to Mandys to have my clothing dry cleaned. Not worth the time or money--since the quality of the dry cleaning itself is poor and it takes an unreasonable amount to receive poor services.

Mandys is a great local dry cleaners. She cares about the customer and will get it done if she says so. Shes not the quickest with turnaround on alterations, but it wont cost you an arm and a leg. If she does make a mistake with the alteration, she has corrected them for no charge (Ive gone to others that charge to fix their mistakes!). We use her for cleaning/pressing our dress clothes and simple alterations with shirts, desses, suits and pants. I would recommend Mandy to anyone new to the area or looking for a change.

***ATTENTION**I have used this cleaners many times as I live in the neighborhood. I recently brought in my down coat with a faux fur hood. The hood came back fried. Like it had been heated. I took it back and before anything else was said I was immediately accused of brining it to them like that. IT WAS NOT LIKE THAT! This coat was fairly new and it has only ever been dry cleaned once before. I left the coat there for the manager to return to store and see what they can do to fix the situation. A few hours later they called back and repeatedly told meIm lying and that I brought the coat there like that. Not once did they even try to offer me money back for the cleaning. The lady was extremely rude and unapologetic. MY COAT WAS NOT RUINED WHEN I BROUGHT IT THERE!!!!! She even almost laughed at me for being so upset. Never again will ever go back to that cleaners.

I had the worst experience with any business Ive ever been to. They are rude and dont take responsibility for their mistakes. If they accidently ruin something they will not refund you or even apologize. Save yourself and dont ever go there.

I got my fur blanket dry cleaned. Or thats what I thought. Got it back a week later, smelling like garbage, and the fur is now basically sandpaper. So not only is it not clean but now its basically ruined. Do not go here.

Literally, worse attitude ever. At least smile, geez.
