I’ve been looking for a regular place to get my haircut since moving to Chicago and I was very impressed by my experience at Tailor Barber. Jordan was very professional and asked the right questions to make sure my cut was ideal. The shop itself is very bright and clean and I appreciated the masking and sanitation measures in place.

I’m always so happy with my haircuts here! I’ve seen several of the barbers and they’ve all given me great haircuts and styling suggestions. My hair grows fast but my barber did a great job creating a look that lasts and still looks good as it’s growing out. Looking forward to my next appointment!

Tailor Barber is an excellent barbershop. The staff is highly skilled, friendly, and professional, the location is great, and the space itself is comfortable and open. Every haircutting experience Ive had at Tailor has been stellar and Im always looking forward to getting my haircut here.

Justine was phenomenal and made the experience worth every penny. I felt comfortable throughout the whole experience and was able to ask any and all questions that I had. Had a great experience in the shop, will definitely be back. I have been growing my hair out for the first time in my life, so I obviously had no clue what I was doing. Justine was so great in talking me through what I needed to do to get to my hair goal. You could tell she cares about her customers and making sure they are happy. As Im growing it out she didnt push to get me back in the salon ASAP, she advised I take a few months and keep coming back from maintenance. Love this place

This was my first haircut since 2019 due to pandemic anxieties, and all the staff here were very aware of keeping things clean and put me at ease. Donovan was great, he walked me through what he was doing and made sure we were on the same page. Katie was also great for eyebrows! Will definitely be coming back.

Meg was great. She listened to what I wanted, always checked in to see if i wanted anything changed/left alone. Very friendly and great service. Already booked my next appointment.

I went in wanting to switch up my style, and Maya helped me choose a new style, cut it, trimmed by beard, and sent me out with hair product samples. Service was quick and efficient and Maya was great conversation while still giving me a great haircut. Recommend

Nice barber shop. Its very clean and the staff is relaxed and friendly. Parking around here can be tough to find so give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot if youre driving.

Had a great experience! I always get scared trying a new hair place. Izzy was amazing! She did such a great job, I love my haircut! Took some of her suggestions for hair product! Will definitely go back and have already told friends about my experience. Unfortunately I was not able to get signed up for the membership but hopefully next time I’ll be able to get signed up!

This was probably the best haircut I’ve ever received. Katie was awesome and knew exactly what to do. She was able to point out some things that needed fixed based on previous cuts/pictures, as well as explaining how to style my new cut. She also gave me advice on how often this style should get trimmed up and when to schedule another appointment. Great experience!

I called and asked if they had any available times for me to come in and get a haircut. They said that they did if can get to them within a certain amount of time. I got there within the allotted time given. I was paired with a female barber once I arrived. The first thing she did was wash my hair, that wasnt something that I specified but was fine. After she cut the top I began to tell her how I wanted the face done. Her response was that she wasnt going to be able to do it because she had another client coming in. The face being cut was the most important part of the hair cut for me because I had gone so long since I had it cut. I asked her whether it was a policy having to do with covid, and she said no. For her it was simply that another client was coming. I then asked her was I supposed to specify that I also wanted my face, mustache and lining included in the haircut when I made the appointment. She said yes. Well thats a lie because I didnt specify that I wanted my hair to be washed but they did that anyway. I was extremely annoyed that I only got half of the service that I paid 100% for, I even tipped her 20% which I regret now. Needless to say but there are better options for the money and that I wont be back.

Meg gave me the best haircut I think I’ve ever gotten. No joke. I’m terrible at explaining what I want whenever I get a haircut but Meg was still able to do exactly what I wanted. The entire experience was very enjoyable- I’ll for sure be back.

I’m a big Tailor fan. Been going for years. Justine has taken great care of me for the last 3 years.

I have been a regular customer here for the last 6 months with Justine. I switch to David once due to lack of availability and the true quality of this place clearly shows. I had to wait for 30 mins with not one employee letting me know why it was taking that long. I spotted David serving another customer and he didn’t have the basic courtesy to address me. At this point I am not even mad about the delay it’s a business and I get it but the sheer negligence of the staff is appalling. Head over here if you can get time with Justine or skip it. David charges $10 under Justine they should have mentioned the $10 difference meant punctuality, courtesy and basic dignity.

I went for a haircut around a month ago and Meg (I think that was her name) cut my hair. She did an amazing job, it was probably the best cut I’ve gotten in a while. Definitely going to come back and specifically ask for her! Wonderful place

Ive been going to this shop for 7-8 years at this point, so I already like them. I had a pretty big cut (7 inches or so) with Meg last week and she did a great job. I dont remember the names of the two trainers who guided the stylist, but they were fantastic as well. Best cut Ive had in years. Thanks!

I came here to get my first haircut in 3 years and Im so glad that I did! The staff was very friendly, the environment was very comfortable, and Roz did and absolutely AMAZING job with my hair. I always look forward to getting my haircut here. There is always a friendly service from the person that welcomes you to the person that washes your hair to finally the person that does your hair. Everyone is very knowledgeable. They all really enjoy doing what they do, which is great because they are never rushing and always taking their time to talk and take care of you. Such a great atmosphere set by everyone who works there.

I’m quiet particular about my haircuts and been on a search for a long time for my Hair dresser after moving to Chicago. After so many trial and error, I decided to try an apprentice appointment at Tailor Barber Co.The only down side was the amount of time the haircut took (which I personally didn’t mind, and within expected for an apprentice), otherwise, I was super happy and excited of the outcome! Great service and perfect attention to details.

I grew my hair out for a year and liked the look and feel. It had started to get a bit too long and wanted it shortened up a tad. I scheduled an appointment with Meg and asked for it to be just above my collar and it ended up as short as it was a year ago. The haircut itself is fine, just not even close to what was asked for.

I received an excellent haircut by Katie and I really appreciate how she asks what problems you’ve had with previous haircuts and then start with fixing those areas first. Also, she will teach you how to style your hair the way you want it and that’s something I’ve never had someone do after cutting my hair.Maya is also great and I’d come back to either stylist over and over. Friendly and skilled is just the beginning of describing Maya.

I had an appointment with Meg to touch up my side shave and she did a great job! I like getting it short but not straight to the skin and she did it perfectly. Will definitely see her again!

I’ve been coming here for about 5 years - great people, really can’t go wrong. Chill vibe, good music, good convo, consistent quality. My go to stylist Jax recently stopped working there but I found him at a salon called Logan Parlor in Logan Square - torn on what to do!

I have been coming to this location for over 6 months now and I always leave satisfied, despite their high prices. Staff is very friendly and they take adequate safety measures in order to reduce contact. Masks and hand sanitizer are available at the door.

I love coming to Tailor. Everyone is professional and friendly. Jax, my typical barber, is top-notch and I pretty much just let him take the wheel when it comes to my hair and I always leave happy. Ive never felt this comfortable before with anyone who cuts my hair. Even if Jax is not available, I know that I am in good hands with Donovan or Justine or anyone else I am scheduled with. Tailor Salon is not close to my home, but I have been coming here for years and the trek is worth it. They retain good talent and I will always keep coming back!

Ive tried many of the other top rated mens salons in Chicago, but Swagger beats them by a long shot.Becky is an excellent stylist. I basically came to her without any direction on what I wanted done with my hair other than I want to look good. She did not disappoint. Ive never left Swagger anything but ecstatic about the cut I received, and have gotten many compliments on my hair since she started cutting it. The scalp massage thats included with the cut is worth the price alone.As for their prices, yes, they are more expensive than some other places to get a haircut, but you get what you pay for here. Anyone who cares about their appearance knows that a haircut is an investment in yourself. And anyone who gets a cut here will realize that its well worth the price.
