Amazing place to get a haircut and a straight shave. I was there about a week and a half ago and the gentleman that cut my hair did an amazing job.

I was visiting from out of towb looking for a reasonably priced barber and was recommended this one by the hotel.$28 for a great haircut. Traditional older gentleman barber. Probably more experience that some of us added together. Alfredo was very gentle and did a great job. He was triple checking with me to be sure I was happy. Chatty too. Cheaper than some places charging $50 dollars. Would go again. Happy customer.

Been to Alfredos a few times and depending on who I get, they generally give me a great cut, no complaints.The last two times though, I got the older quiet man who works there part-time, and Im not gonna lie, I dont think this guy had any idea what he was doing. After my haircut the other day, I came home and found a big, deep cut across the back of my neck from the trimmer he was using trying to line me up. Worst thing is - he knew he did that to me and didnt even bother to say anything or apologize. Instead, he decided not to give me the hot shaving cream treatment at the end that Ive gotten with every haircut, probably because he realized I would realize he busted up my neck. I never want to call for someones job but please let this guy go.So much for a nice $30 haircut. Ill be taking myself somewhere else next time. At least Sports Clips will know to just cut my hair and not my neck. And they take credit cards like every other business in the year 2021. Sorry.

I had a great experience at Alfredo’s! I came 10 min before my Appt time and they saw me as soon as I got in. The haircut was great too- usually my girlfriend will have something negative to say about all my haircuts lol, but she thought this one was perfect haha

Friendly traditional and super efficient mens barbers. This is a must go to place whilst in Chicago. The banter is just as sharp as your hair and beard will be after The visit. A living piece of Americana and history in The present. It is businesses like this that made America and will continue to make it Great again and again. Got the hot towel shave on my birthday. It was super luxurious, and the guys at the shop were pretty funny.

Was able to walk in, Alfredo was awesome. (He even treated me to a free coffee and donut). The lady (I forget her name) did a great job. I recommend!

I love this place! Its an old school barber shop, in downtown Chicago, right off the Red Line. Youre going to pay $22 for a haircut, its going to be good and youre not going to feel like you got taken advantage of because you happened to end up in some swanky salon. Sometimes, a guy just needs a simply barbers cut. This is the place to go.

A timeless classic. Friendly neighborhood barber shop in the middle of Near North. Not the original location, but the people are all the same ... and the reason for going.

My haircut took a very long time. My barber was very old (hard to communicate with) and shaky and not a single line was straight and he did not cut my hair the way I asked. I have very long hair on top that’s taken me over a year to grow and he cut some off without asking. I was very disappointed leaving there. If you need a modern style cut do NOT go here. Also I was charged $40.

I always get a great cut here. Its convenient to my work and not overpriced at all. If you want cheaper and worse go to one of the stores whos name ends in clips or ricks.

My barber has stopped every 5 minutes to talk on the phone...while the other barbers were sitting around doing nothing. Haircut was ok but overpriced.

Dreadful service. I scheduled a 530 appointment and showed up at 520. I left at 545 when I still hadnt been seated (with no explanation) and they seated a walk in as soon as he walked in. An unacceptable waste of my time.Avoid, unless youre a lucky walk in.
