Great food and awesome staff. We ate on the patio with a two piece band playing Duke Ellington, Cole Porter and others. Piano and drummer playing with brushes. Had a real good time! Bar was ample, they had some parties going on in their private rooms. Best shrimp scampi, or server was busy and still took care very good care of us. Ambodonza!!

I fibbed. This is a 10 star restaurant twice as good as any 5! Better than Alfredos in Rome when Alfredo made his specialty tableside and let me lick the pan, better than the 5 star in Naples/Amalfi Coast where you sat cliffside at sunset and ate drank & sang thru 10 courses and way better than any pizza in Florence!!!!The food was great, the bar looked outstanding (better than Achatzs bar only joint), the decor was perfection( reminded me of Como Inn during their hay day), the staff was attentive and covered for each other seamlessly, the music was CLASSIC and I m sure the Chairman, Deanno and Perry would approve....heck I expected to see them wander by any second. They had a private dining room for events. Collettis is family friendly, kid friendly and neighborhood friendly. They deliver and THEY CATER. Great for business lunch meetings in your office, great for friends, great for romance too! Id have to use a dictionary/thesaurus to use enough compliments. And did I mention the chef (if he has ingredients) will whip up anything youd like that isnt on the menu that day? Try their turkey, bacon avocado sandwich for lunch. Or the lasagna, blackened Tilapia, ravioli di Lara (fish specials thru Lent!) OMG veal lemone or sweet potato fries.....long timers at the next table were remembering their faves. ..heck never had a bad meal here. They kept going thru below zero, 24 of snow, nothing stopped them. Just remember All roads lead to Colletis. Free parking, great music great food....hope they keep going another 75 years! Fantastico! 4.25 stars. Great experience as indoor dining gets under way. Boisterous (a bit bawdy after 8pm) crowd near bar but great to hear laughter again. We enjoyed a great sirloin burger, eggplantparm, sides and drinks in an intimate yet comfy booth. Dinner was $66 for two+ tip. Bathroom was clean and a B+. Notable in my view, are the drinks...Great pours of my top shelf Scotch and my companions Kettle One Martini, how did they know we wanted a double? Desserts looked great going by, maybe next time.Collettis is slightly better suited for adults than kids after 6pm near the bar , IMHO.Outside seating was available in Orbs and tables near fireplaces on their patio. Live music outside with dancing. Great service and complimentary bread with yummy roasted garlic in savory olive oil dip with herbs.I highly recommend this Italian Supper Club.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is enjoyable. The music, fancy glassware, cleanliness and peacefulness make it classy and pleasant.The lasagna and kids spaghetti were very good. The meatball sandwich was alright. The soup was ok. The ribs were good. Unfortunately, the kids cheeseburger was very dry, burnt and barely edible. Overall it was more expensive with the same quality as a much cheaper venue. I recommend eating the pasta on the menu for children and adults.

First time for my wife and I eating here. Really comfortable atmosphere, wonderful service. Ate at their quaint bar. Our food was excellent. We will return for their house specialty rib dinner. Worth the 40 mile drive from the suburbs! 🍻 By the way, best coleslaw Ive had in years.

Hot trash, thats the best description I can think of. The pizza was beyond greasy, the fried zucchini was soggy , the ranch definitely tasted off, and the french fries might as well been chips. Ive had better Italian food at corner bakery.

This restaurant is amazing. Delightful atmosphere with wonderful staff. I love the daily specials because every day can be a new experience. Food is delicious and the drinks are well made. Highly recommended for any occasion!

Bad service. Bat tender was rude, one order of food came after the rest of our order and no apologies were given. Thank God for Roberto, he made sure we finally got the missing orders well as the bread that came AFTER our meal and our drinks were refilled. We actually had to get up from our table at one point to get our owns refills at the bar because the bartender didnt want to walk around the bar to give us our drinks! We were a party of 8 and they couldve cared less. With the exception of Roberto the service sucked .

Excellent for the most part. Shrimp Scampi Linguine wasnt good, wasnt Linguine & very little sauce, but otherwise we loved it. Key Lime pie was world class.

I was in Chicago for family. We decided we wanted italian food and this was the nearest restaurant. BIG mistake. I dont know the servers names but we walked in on a woman screaming and being absolutely disgusting to a Hispanic waiter. This was the only reason I decided to continue to eat here was for him. She decided to wait on us once she sat us down my boyfriend greeted him, she seen and got mad and had him and another male wait on us instead. Both of their costumer service was amazing. They were friendly and spoke so highly of that restaurant. The old Hispanic man has been working here for I believe 20 years and gets treated like that! Even then he was so proud to be there so long. The food was sadly disappointing. I can truthfully say I had the worse pasta in my life there. No flavor at all. Their bread was good. Their keylime pie was decent. My boyfriend did not like his dish either, the sauce was full of grease. Besides the 2 waiters it was a horrible experience. I hope that lady is not a manager or boss, she should be ashamed for yelling and belittling people like that.

This is the best place in the area! Service is always amazing here and they have outdoor warm seating that makes you feel comfortable during the pandemic. The food is too notch here. Pizza delivery comes quick and perfectly cooked. Dining in you get so much for your money and it tastes phenomenal. If you haven’t tried this place you have to and it’ll become your go to!

Italian beef is horrible. Dry, brittle and not nearly the amount you get anywhere else. Allison the manager was no less than rude. No COMPENSATION offered. Told to come back and speak to owner the next day. Hes on vacation spending the $52 a pound they charge for their dry brittle beef. Owners son was there and said they never had any complaints before, almost indicating that bad portions and food was impossible. Will never eat here again and will tell everyone to stay away. Had to wait for refills on drinks, and the service was horribly slow

I can only speak on Pick Up, NOT dine in.I ordered pick up 2 days in a row, both days my orders were messed up! Haha yikes!Not happy about it.Messed up my pasta order first day. 2nd day, messed up another order. Ribs were VERY dry. Had to use my own sauce concoction at home since they didnt add any extra BBQ sauce (like requested) either.I even had them repeat my order to me lol but I guess they just cant get it right?At least for me, I spent $120 on food that was eh at best. (Eh meaning outside of the mistakes) Also, I paid $3/per shrimp & they are teeny tiny shrimps, so be aware. Its just very over priced for the quality & the amount of mistakes that were made. Im 9mo preg otherwise I wouldve gone back & exchanged the food (twice)Order pick up at your own risk, I wont be again. Not after 2 messed up orders back to back. :(Might be different in person, much easier to deal with wrong food mistakes.

Maria was our server and she was extremely personable and provided OUTSTANDING service! Collettis is an incredible place to enjoy a great meal and drinks and truly get treated like family. We reserved one of the igloos for a Valentines dinner double date. It was so cute and cozy! The waiters were very polite and gave such great service. The food was delicious and they have great options. The drinks were very good as well! We definitely recommend the Pina Colletti!! We pass by this restaurant daily and always wanted to try, so glad we gave it a shot! Definitely plan on returning again soon!!

Love Collettis been coming here for 30+ years. Through all the changes the food and service is always top quality. This poor review is specifically about Carry out. The young man who answers the phone/handles the carry out window is not capable of doing so. Answers the phone by saying Hello? Not Hello this is collettis. Orders constantly wrong. The time he gives is waaay off food is either cold, or you wait there for 20 min. Somebody train this kid. Or find someone else who is capable of doing the job. Have heard similar complaints from tons of my neighbors. Only as strong as your weakest link Collettis.

Nice casual bar-restaurant in the Chicago area. I have been a few times and is one of the places that I can go again without doubt. They have big parking which make it convenient and you dont have to look for street parking. The kitchen is good and the portions are well set as well. They have specials but depends on the server you may not get them if you dont ask. I like the bar in the middle and the bartenders are pretty good. What really I like in the summer is the patio. It is really nice place where you can enjoy good food, drinks and company.

Well managed family owned old school Chicago establishment. The staff is always super friendly, especially Maria, she’s always attentive and on top of her game. The food is delicious and always consistent. The outdoor patio is gorgeous and inviting, a treat in the summertime. My wife always orders the Salmon filet with chimichurra sauce with steamed vegetables and is never disappointed. The pizza is great, especially the authentic pizza Napoli. They also have daily specials that you will not find on the menu. For a great burger, order the Cheddar bacon burger, very tasty. Good selection of tap beers. Nice decor. Clean bathrooms. Highly recommended. 👍🏻👍🏻

Good Italian restaurants are hard to come by in this fast-food world we live in.My advice is: Always get the lasagna!It speaks volumes regarding the amount of love that goes into a meal.Id have to say, Collettis does it right.Ask to sit in Brians section, hes one of the best out there.

Hands down has the best cheesecake here. Im usually picky with what I like but their food here is really good and I strongly recommend coming here with family and/or friends. I went there and ordered wings and a cheesecake. Everybody there is very nice and make sure you have a good experience there. I enjoyed the food there and I cant wait to try more food off the menu!

The food is delicious, my personal favorites, anytimes theres oysters in the house, all the daily soups are amazing, my favorite, Wednesdays, the Rigatoni Ala Vodka, Eggplant Parm and Shrimp Scampi are out of this world, for lunch, you cant go wrong with anything but I love the HOUSE SPECIALS! I LOVE the Dessert, the NEAPOLITAN ICE CREAM! The ATMOSPHERE is comfortable inside in winter and theres a beautiful outdoor dining area. Enjoy!

50% good, 50% bad. Some food is noticeably made in house and quite yummy, the rest seems like pre-made Restaurant Depot stuff. My last order of chicken was undercooked. If it werent for my boyfriend loving the fish dish, I wouldnt bother with this place. Nothing italian about it at all.

The place is nice the people are very nice but the food is terrible . If the owner is reading this I know someone that can make great Italian food and we came here and did not enjoy anything . We go to a lot of restaurants to try new stuff and we would never spend money here again . They definitely need a better chef . Had the award winning ribs, they were definitely good but Ive had better. Had a lemon drop martini that was not only very weak but just not good, took two sips and told the waitress I didnt like it to bring me a beer. The beer was great, but they wanted to charge me for the martini. In the end they took it off the bill.Been there, done that!

Well..In the pandemic world, this place was good..But let me tell you..When this place got just a little packed..Total confusion!!.. Appetizer came out with the food.. Waitresses were complaining about their jobs(heard 2 of them)..Waited for a pizza that wasnt even as good as a frozen one..Drinks were HORRIBLY overpriced n watered down..Personally, I will never step foot in this place again..But good luck to you!!..

The food was awful my wife had show me the tough octopus . I had dried up chicken parmesan.... just awful tasting food.... the only high point of our visit was our server, Abigail , she was great.Never again....

We ordered our food for Mother’s Day to be delivered, and as we were waiting, the time came when the order was 15 minutes late. That’s not a big deal and is somewhat understandable. We called to check the status of the order, and the staff were very confused at first. When they realized what had happened, they said the order was going to be coming in 10 minutes. It was already late, and they were telling us it was going to be even later? On top of that, one of us had ordered ribs, and when we called to check in on our order, they said they were out of ribs. All this time waiting, and they cannot deliver what we had ordered. Unacceptable. We will most likely not be eating here again.

I love this place! I compare other restaurants around here to this one and am usually disappointed. Whether you order the Chicken Vesuvio, Rainbow Trout, Pork Chop, or just a Bacon Cheddar Burger you will not be disappointed. It may be bit pricey ($14 burgers, $20 chix plate) but SO worth it, and neither my boyfriend nor I have ever left without a doggie bag. Their cannoli is spectacular as well!

I found metal in my vegetables and the waitress never brought my drink, even after several reminders.

The other week my girlfriend and I ordered delivery and had a terrible experience. We ordered bruschetta, french fries, fried mushrooms, a steak sandwich and a burger. The 3 appetizers were fine, the 2 entrees were not. The food arrived 25 minutes early, the burger was cooked to a level that was UNSAFE FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION and the steak sandwich was blue rare (ordered Medium). When I called, they stated they would give me a $10 coupon for my next order, I stated that the steak sandwich was $18 and the burger was $13 (all prices before tax and delivery) and that this was unacceptable. She bumped it up to $15 which I again stated was not fair. She bumped it to $18 dollars, again, I said that is not fair. She said would you like to speak to a owner which I said yes to. The owner stated he would give me a $25 coupon to which I explained again the food was $31 before taxes and delivery. After a little back and forth his response was “If you are really that unhappy with the food and DIDN’T ALREADY EAT IT, leave it on the porch and I’ll have a driver pick it up. When the food gets back to my kitchen I will give you a refund if you didn’t actually eat it.” I said “please send a driver, I’m headed to the porch with the food now.” I ended up getting a full refund but that was after a 15 minute hassle on the phone and being called a liar by the owner. I worked in the restaurant industry for 8 years and have been ordering/eating food for many more than that, never in my life have I been treated more rudely by an owner.

We are at Oak Park and Irving and they literally refused to delivery on a fairly large order. I couldnt believe that they make so much money, they dont need any more. Said we were to far away. Just tore up the menu.

The atmosphere was nice and really good service. However, the food was just blah. I had the pizza and my spouse had the cheese ravioli. We also tried the bruschetta (it was soggy!). The food came out the kitchen way too fast which made me think it was all microwaved. I wouldn’t go here again. It was also expensive which I don’t mind when the food is good, but honestly this was not. Very disappointed!

Collettis was absolutely perfect for my bridal shower. From the staff, to the food, to the location, to the owners - I couldnt be happier with how everything turned out. Everyone raved about the steak for weeks and how accommodating the staff is/was. Thank you so much, Collettis!!!!

I love colletis but i went in to eat today and there was a small piece if foil in my side salad, lip stick stains on my water glass, and there were a ton of flys around our table.

They also have outdoor seating.Recently had a family party here and they did an excellent job.The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere.Bicycling: The Elston Avenue bicycle lane passes right by here. Problem is there is no bicycle parking.

The waitress we had last night was terrible she forgot to bring my wifes soup when asked about it she said we would get it to go and it never happened. This is not normal I have been going to COLLETTIs since 1959 and never had a problem till last night.

Yes its an Italian restaurant BUT Im not a gravy type of person. I ordered the 1/2 slab of ribs and they were like eating shoe leather. Very small baked potato. All in all I had a terrible dinner. However, it seems like the people who ordered Italian dinners were fairly pleased.

Been twice to Collettis, once on a Sunday (last month) & today, July 27th.. I ordered the shrimp scamp again today since the first time I had it it was quite good. Today, was another matter, the pasta was cold & greasy (too much oil) as well as the shrimp & not as garlicky as the first time I ordered it. Staff is nice, attentive & courteous. I would go again & order something different since the food was good the first time around. Nice atmosphere, outside dining is pleasant depending on what time you go regarding traffic.

Worst eggplant parm.... Im afraid when it was made. Should be ashamed to let it out of kitchen. Now I remember why we dont order from there.

Food tastes great. Going in person is fantastic however ordering is a totally different. Between portion varying sizes, missing items long wait times for delivery, or best blatantly wrong food orders this place has become a joke to our family. I’ve been ordering here for 3 years and I can count at least 5 times and 2 phone calls to the manager about these issues and nothing has changed. A shame the kitchen is disorganized and the manager doesn’t care but hopefully this reaches the owner in some regards in how to address this now common issues. Last experience we were set on hold so long just just hung up cause nothing would be resolved and we rather not eat cold food with missing items. Unfortunate to say the least.

First time we have been back since my mother in laws funeral. My husband is a neighborhood guy and knows the Colletti’s. We committed to 65 and we were 20 people short. We were charged for the extra 20 plates but didn’t get any of the food we were charged for. Tonight’s dinner was less than stellar. 31.95 for a 38 ounce prime rib dinner and the steak was no where near the 28 ounces we were charged for. I think the dinner came with one mashed baby red potato. I had the Chicken Parm. Came with a cup of pasta. We will never be back. The only good thing was the bartender and he backed off when I took a picture of the pathetic portions of food. Shame on you Colletti’s.
