Finding an apartment was tough during the height of a pandemic. Nikki at the leasing office made it easy and went above and beyond to help us with things like measurements when we couldnt be there to tour in person. Since we have moved in the staff has been attentive and it has been a great experience so far! If you need a place in the loop with great access to transportation and a friendly staff AMLI Lofts is your ideal location!

Ive been here for about 4 months now and everything has been fantastic. The amenities of the pool, gym, and the courtyard between the two buildings are great. Being a young professional, the convertibles here are essentially a 1-bed at a studio price. Also, almost every unit has a balcony which is a big plus given the overall rent prices are still in line with similar buildings in the area. Small maintenance requests have been answered same day, sometimes within an hour of requesting them. The location is really nice and overall pretty safe!

I am a new resident at AMLI Lofts and wanted to share the positive experience I had with the team here. My leasing agent Nikki is awesome! She helped my relocation from Dallas and my move into the building go incredibly smooth. With her energy and enthusiasm during our tour of the ability and all of the great amenities she convinced me that this is the best place for me to live. And I was so impressed that she knew everyones name that we passed during the tour. The entire team here have been phenomenal, especially April who is always friendly and helpful at the front desk. Thank you AMLI team for all that you do!

So we have been an AMLI Lofts resident for probably too long at this point. But long enough to write a review to compliment Nikki Sadecki and her utmost professionalism and the way she treats our family here at AMLI lofts. If you happen to come to rent At AMLI I would suggest requesting her to show you the digs. We would also say to compliment Heather the lead for the team and building by putting Nikki in great position to help the residents here at AMLI for this we say thanks. Of course we cannot forget how amazing the maintenance team is and is spot on when ever anything goes wrong in our unit it is always handled within hours. Compliments to Arman.

My girlfriend and I recently moved into this building. From the first time we saw it, we loved the atmosphere and amenities. Nikki, the leasing agent who helped us, has been absolutely wonderful, along with the rest of the management team.

I moved in here in March and this is the cleanest, most well maintained and managed building Ive ever lived in. This building is LEED certified and the walls are mostly soundproof; I rarely hear any sounds from neighbors above or adjacent. The staff here has gone out of their way to make sure I dont have any issues. A month ago I put in a maintenance request and was surprised to hear an engineer knock at the door 15 minutes later! The crew here is on it, they are hard working and very hospitable. I highly recommend this property.

I suggest considering other options. I sent all necessary materials to apply then received a follow up email from another leasing agent because my agent was “in a meeting” stating that I had until the end of the business day to provide tax verifications or I would loose my $500. Very unprofessional as I didn’t check the email until the next day. There were no issues with credit or background as I already lived a block from AMLI and always paid rent on time. I ended up finding a much better rental building within the same price range. Go where you feel wanted.

I read some of the reviews and I am quite confused. I moved in here March 1st after 50+ years in the suburbs and I Love it here. From the first time I contacted the administration office, Nikki & Chris and their entire team have been AMAZING! They made the move-in process swift & painless. The building is close to all of the major interstates, has all of the latest amenities including a pool, free business center, workout room, courtyard with grills & a sport court, and free 1GB of internet. The front desk staff featuring April & Darius and their team know you by name and treat you like family. I could not be happier and I would and have recommended AMLI Lofts to my friends and family.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience living at AMLI Lofts. If I could give 0 stars I would. Had multiple issues with the appliances in the apartment and the living room flooring (floor boards moved). At the end of move-out we were charged for carpet damage. The carpet damage was not visible in the photos that we were sent. (We did not have any pets or spills.) Management was not helpful and still proceeded to charge us. Management was never helpful the entirety of our lease. Amenities were rarely open. Elevators were down constantly. If you choose to live here, live on a floor that you dont mind accessing by stairs DAILY. There are no perks to living here. Live in one of the other high-rises close by that have regular dinners and treats for their residents. AMLI Lofts free breakfast would be gone within the first 10 minutes of the 2 hour scheduled time. Walls are paper thin. Can hear everything in the apartments next door, and above you. Again, I will reiterate - do not live here!!!

I was really hesitant about writing this review. But I want others to really consider other options. If you are looking for a quiet place, this definitely is NOT an option. The building is close to the train station and rails and the noise is just too much. To the point that wakes me up in the night. Now Im having trouble sleeping. And this is starting to impact my overall mood and health.Because covid, I do home office. And the trains are very annoying and distracting when having zoom calls.I reached out management to see what option I have. Basically none. And the recommendation was to turn up the TV volume or play some music. The building and the apartment are nice though.Sometimes I think that you get for what you pay, but this is a 2k rent. For this price you can easily find a similar apartment with similar amenities in a location away from the train noise. If you have issues with external noise, look somewhere else. If not, this is a cool place.

I moved to Amli Lofts in March 2018 after selling my townhouse. It was the best move I could have made. Heather, the building manager is easy to work and demostrates a caring attitude when issues arise. Thats especially important in todays environment when customer service seems to be deteriorating.I took my time researching apartment buildings to find one that was small, unique and located near public transportation. Amli Lofts fit the bill. The units are fantastic. Very modern and spacious. If you like high ceilings and great closet space its there. The common areas are nice also. Sun decks, swimming pool, basketball area, billiard table, a pet friendly space, etc. Variety is the spice of life.During the pandemic it was a blessing to have a balcony. Although, the public areas were closed, residents were still able to enjoy the outdoor space right off their living room. Its a great place to be. I truly enjoy living the Amli Lofts experience.

As a current resident of AMLI Lofts (2020-21), I want to address some of the common complaints found in these reviews. As is often the case, they seem primarily to be exaggerations written by the most upset outliers among the former tenants.1. Energy efficient appliances not working properly. This is not my experience at all. My dishwasher, washer and dryer all properly clean after one cycle. Further, the energy-saving appliances allow me to run these machines 2-3 times a week, each, with my electric bill never rising above $45/ month.2. Thin walls/ noise. The walls and ceiling are solid concrete... I know first-hand that my neighbors throw parties every month or so and I cannot hear them unless Im standing in front of their hallway door - and even then it is not at all loud. Though it is true that the apartment doors have gaps underneath them, this can be fixed by buying a cheap sound insulator to place on the bottom of the door.3. Unkind employees. Ill address this separately below since it is the most untrue of all the complaints and one likely written impulsively after an idiosyncratic, unpleasant experience unique to the reviewer.4. The elevators often being reserved / out of order. This is perhaps the single valid complaint but it is a product of AMLI providing good service to its residents. I have yet to see an elevator be out of order. The elevators, instead, are sometimes reserved to allow new and old tenants to move in and out with ease. Complaining about this is odd considering it is a necessary inconvenience to allow every tenant the chance to move in and out in under two hours as opposed to sharing the elevator with the entire building during a day that we all know already sucks. Additionally, the elevators might sometimes be reserved for the janitorial staff to take the recycling down from every floor. Considering they break down the dozens of boxes and sort the improperly recycled trash tenants lazily put in the recycling room, this is still just great service to the residents. Maybe take the stairs now and then.A few perks of living at AMLI that go unmentioned include (1) the free access to Starbucks coffee 24/7 in the lobby - this saves a person like myself $50+ a week (2) a free fitness facility that is lightyears ahead of competitor apartment communities in the South Loop (3) heating and cooling bundled into rent, and (4) all maintenance requests are fulfilled within 6 hours, in my experience.Returning to complaint 3. AMLIs greatest asset - and a quality that more than makes up for any shortcoming - is the hospitality of its staff. Every single employee, be they the front door staff, the janitorial staff, or the leasing consultants, know the residents by name and take the initiative to make conversation and get to know them as friends. Perhaps this is a benefit noticed only by those who take the time to treat the staff as individuals, however it truly makes you feel a part of a community that cares. Darrius, April, and Jesus are a few such all-stars that stand out in my mind. Additionally, Nikki and Carrie are the single most professional and courteous leasing consultants (and sales representatives in general) I have had the opportunity to meet and get to know. My single complaint is AMLI is likely not paying them enough for the full value they contribute to fostering a stellar, caring community. You will not find a better apartment experience in Chicago than AMLI Lofts.

We have been at AMLI Lofts since 2016 and cannot imagine being any other place. From the people to the location to the amenities, in my opinion you are hard-pressed to find a better place in the city. There are residents here that have been here for years and the staff the same. When you have that type of longevity, a place must be doing something right.I read some of the other reviews of people venting about the building and in complete transparency, it is an unfair view through narrow lens. No place is perfect all the time but the question is, Does a place try to be? For AMLI and their staff, the answer is yes. There is 24/7 maintenance that will fix anything from changing a lightbulb to replacing a washer / dryer. They are constantly maintaining the building and the grounds and doing it with a smile. They go the extra mile to ensure that people are safe, healthy, and comfortable. When things are not working, they communicate it and address it as quickly as they can. At the end of the day that is all you can ask for and all you should want. The office and front desk team knows people by name, they know what they do, they know where they are from, they know what they like. For some people that may not matter but if you are looking for a place to feel like a home and not just a place to live, it definitely makes a difference.Everyone boasts about their amenities these days but most of the time it looks better in pictures than in real life. With AMLI that is not the case, what this building offers is a big part of the reason we are still here.A full service gym with dumbbells up to 100, 4 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, 3 bikes, a stairmaster, a smith machine and every body part covered on traditional weight machines.A courtyard with 2 Viking grills, a fire pit, seating for 50 and 4 outdoor TVs.A basketball court, a dog pad for those with puppies (which is a life saver in the winter), two rooftops with seating for 25 on each.A pool with a patio and grilling area attached to it.A tech lounge with a conference room that can be rented out for those that work from home, a separate common area with TVs,, additional work spaces, and a pool table.Factor in a location that allows you to walk less than .5 miles to catch the orange to Midway, blue to OHare, red to Comiskey (or Wrigley, I guess). Its a mile walk to Soldier Field, a mile to the lake, a mile to the river and smack in the middle of a triangle that includes Trader Joes, Jewel, Whole Foods, and Target.Bottom line, its the location that got us here but the building and people that keep us here. This place is a community. If that is what you are looking for, AMLI Lofts is for you because that is what you will get.

Ive lived here now for 4 years with good reason. Love the building and the location at the north end of the South Loop (adjacent to or within Printers Row depending on who you talk to). The building has a lot of nice amenities and fun resident events throughout the year. There is a lot of development going on in the South Loop right now, so there are increasingly more restaurants and bars close by.The management team here has changed a couple of times, but I think Heather and Nikki are the best so far. Since they joined, there has even been less turnover with the front door staff and maintenance teams that I love. AMLI Lofts is a great place to live.

Ive been living in Amli Lofts (Polk side) for over a year now. While almost every other aspect of the building is great, the elevator situation is beyond inexcusable. One of the elevators breaks down on a monthly basis. With 11 floors, you can understand how frustrating this can be.I rarely write poor reviews about anything, but the fact that one of the elevators has been broken now for the past 2 months is so infuriating. Somehow, the elevator works if your moving in, but it cannot be used by anyone else. Its such a slap in the face to the residents who are trying to practice social distancing. It is not a viable excuse that the elevator vendor has to order a new part, has employees with COVID, or whatever the excuse is each time there is a delay in repair times. Find a new vendor if this one consistently lets us down. Do something more than apologize. It should not take 3 months to fix an elevator that is functioning enough for people to use for moves. This isnt a new issue. Fix the problem so residents can safely practice social distancing and dont have to take the stairs if there are four people on.I will gladly update this review to reflect all other aspect that I have loved about Amli if they stop just throwing a band-aids on the issue and blaming their vendors. I know Im being a Karen, but this is a luxury apartment that I pay over $2k/mo to live in. Management just has to do more.

I lived at AMLI Lofts for over two years and it was a fantastic experience, and only moved because I needed to relocate. The Building Managers Heather and Amanda really go out of their way to create a luxury experience for the residents, and when there were a few issues here and there, they made it right. The building is kept clean and all of the staff could not be more friendly, additionally there are a number of activities and events for the residents. The amenities are the best part and are better than any other in the neighborhood, especially the pool. Yes, some other building have similar amenities, but the proportion of residents to amenity space is the best at AMLI Lofts. Definitely going to miss it!

I lived in the building for a year. The amenities of the building had a lot to offer. The location really is a good one. With the building being Leed certified your electric bills are so cheap. Great building for pets. The dog run can get really gross though. Security has radically improved after a few mishaps early in my lease. Typical challenges with apartment living with the management. You are a unit number and not a person. I was affected by flooding when a pipe burst over the winter. It wasnt another tenant, it was improper plumbing connections when the building was built. They were very quick in replacing the floor of my apartment, but I had issues with planking sticking up since it was done so quickly. I wasnt offered any financial compensation for living with a torn up kitchen and front hallway for three days. I received it once I reminded the manager I wasnt offered any compensation. Dont worry, all the assistance I got, I had to pay back when I moved out for new carpet and I didnt sand the walls properly enough.Overall its a good complex, building, and amenities and hopefully they will overcome the management issues with the specific folks in that office.

After being AMLI Lofts resident for almost 10 months now I wanted to leave a review to help others trying to finalize their apartment :). So far Im absolutely in love with my apartment and building. My experience of renting has been great so far starting from initial renting process till now which includes maintenance staff being great at their work and reception desk staff being very helpful too.During my initial research I read comments online related to apartments being very noisy because of space under the front doors etc but I have experienced no such thing. The space under doors is definitely there and if someone talks in hallway you can hear it but I havent experienced that happening too many times and never during night. The floor is super quiet most of the time ( a little too quiet sometimes I feel ).I have experienced 2-3 incidents of elevator taking really long! Definitely something that needs improvement.Among my other fav things about the building are:- In-unit laundry- decent Gym ( I would definitely want to see rowing machine added in there but its still pretty well stocked gym)- the option of booking the conference room in the building for the days you want to wfh.- love the complimentary HIIT and yoga classes being offered.- balcony space is such a boonIf you work in and around loop I would highly recommend AMLI lofts to you!

I cant say enough good things about Amli Lofts. This was my second Amli property and the best apartment complex Ive ever lived in. From the beginning, the leasing team was so caring and attentive. Every issue, big or small, they were eager to resolve. Their number one priority is to make sure you are happy in the community. Move-in and move-out were both quick and painless. The front desk staff is courteous and a pleasure to speak to. They were so sweet to me and my dog and always took a moment to pet her. The maintenance staff is quick to fix problems. The cleaning crew is always around and every public space is spotless. The perks of the community are GREAT and the resident events are fun and helpful, especially when they do vendor fairs. The building is pet friendly and the dog park within the gates of the community is so great, especially if youre nervous walking around at night. The apartments themselves are beautiful and well maintained. The other reviews are true about the gaps under the doors letting in/out noise. I just knocked on my neighbors door and kindly asked them to turn down their music/TV. Its an easy solution if youre nice to your neighbors. I never experienced anyone who didnt comply. There is always someone at the front desk, so if there is ever truly a problem, they will step in to help.I only left because I got a promotion that moved me out of Chicago. If that didnt happen, I would have stayed for years. Thank you so much Amli Lofts team!!

I deleted my previous review, which I published upon the request of the property management. I moved out under good terms and do not have any grievances. However, as the residence filled up, several issues became apparent.1. The management poorly handled issues and community communications, particularly with respect to a controversial policy to DNA test dogs as a response to tenants who would not take care of their animals excrement. I found it very troubling that they were initially going to unilaterally amend the rules governing the community, which was an addendum to the lease agreement, to enforce the dog DNA testing policy. That likely would have been legally unenforceable and so they decided to only apply it prospectively to new tenants. In short, the property management arguably acted in bad faith.2. The management decisions appeared to be done based the experiences at other AMLI properties, rather than a cooperative effort with the tenants of the building. You certainly can persuade the property management to make an exception and provide a fair remedy, but you have to fairly aggressively communicate with the building manager. The initial response is always to deny any resolution is possible, even if the staff member has no authority to make that decision.3. Some of the tenants were rather immature and decisions impacting the whole community arose because the immaturity of a few. The environment was tarnished when tenants acted with immaturity.4. A weekday door staff treated me really poorly when he found out I was moving out. Prior to that point, he was just disingenuously nice. Many of the other door staff, however, were very nice.5. I observed the high vacancy rate by Fall 2015, presumably because many of the initial tenants decided not to renew. I thought the increase in the monthly rental rate was reasonable and I doubt that was the issue for others.

We moved into Amli about 2 weeks ago and are SO happy we did. We lived in a luxury high-rise in Lakeshore East and were afraid our standards couldnt be met in the south loop- but we were wrong! We LOVE our new home- the quality of the unit is wonderful and they definitely focused on upgraded details... the modern fixtures, floors, subway tiles, lighting, upgraded stainless apps- its all high-end. The walls are even painted gray with accented white doors- Im so happy to be in an apartment that doesnt just have white walls! And finally, having full ability to control the temperature in all seasons and to even PROGRAM the thermostat to change temps at set times is amazing. The leasing consultants were incredible- we worked with Rudy and went above and beyond for us every time we met with him. He showed me several units several times with an incredible amount of patience. While looking at various units, I mentioned I forgot to bring my tape measurer to see how my furniture would fit.. he went and found one for me! He sold the place without making us feel pressured at all and I felt like I could completely trust what he was telling me about the apartment. We spoke with Kelly several times and she was wonderful as well. Amli has such a patient and accommodating leasing team which I find to be very unique in this market.Maintenance has been great too- we mentioned a few VERY small things on our move-in inspection sheet and maintenance came the next day to fix the few minor things we noted. How awesome! So glad I moved into Amli Lofts :)
