I have been going to Adeel at ABM for a few years now, with both of our cars. I first went because I got a really high estimate from the dealer that I had been going to, and wanted a second opinion. ABM did an evaluation and explained which of the items the dealer wanted to do were in fact important, which were not really crucial and which were totally unneeded. He also found a couple things that they did not that did need doing. The total estimate was 2/3 what the dealer was. We went with ABM, and the car has been running great for years.I also love that ABM has a website which tracks everything they do on your car, and everything they recommend.During the pandemic, they were super-careful about safety, and continue to be.

It’s always tough to find a good, trustworthy mechanic. ABM is just that m. Fair, straightforward and honest. We moved away from the neighborhood but still choose to bring our car here.

Ive taken my car to ABM twice so far. First for some brake and suspension work and later for new tires. Both times were satisfying experiences. They did a good job of clearly communicating issues, pricing, and timelines and stuck to those estimates. I also appreciate that they were serious about COVID precautions.

I live right around the corner of ABM and they have always been so friendly when I walk my dog past the front (lots of waves/smiles). I wanted to give them a shot for an oil change and to diagnose an ongoing squeaky brake issue (note: new brakes installed at a DIFFERENT shop - NOT ABM). For the oil change & tire rotation - perfect service, fair price, & quick turnaround. I asked ABM to check out the brake issue because the squeaky brakes that has been slowly driving me nuts since I JUST got all 4 rotors, calipers, and pads replaced elsewhere (Summer 2020). I explained all of this to ABM. ABM called me back after the diagnosis and gave it to me straight. The previous shop did a poor job with installation and cut corners. ABM gave me two options (1) replace all the brakes again (costs were reasonable/comparable to brake jobs Ive had done in the past) or (2 - cheaper) Grind, clean, recalibrate, lube existing brakes + labor costs. I chose (2) and ABM assured me that the existing brakes are safe & fine, but to reconsider replacing in the future. I appreciate the honestly, the options, and the service provided. No more squeaky brakes and feel assured ABMs work delivered me a safer ride & brakes. I highly recommend servicing your vehicle at ABM. I will be back in the future.

I drive a 2nd Gen Toyota Prius which has a well known issue with the instrument cluster failing. The dealer wanted close to $2K to put in a new cluster and refused to acknowledge that there is a cheaper fix for this issue. Other mechanics had no knowledge of the issue when I called and asked. I called ABM Auto based on a recommendation from a friend. I asked if they do instrument cluster repairs for the Prius and the mechanics response was yeah, youre having issues with the dash-lights going out and the car not turning off? we can fix that. Salvation. ABM Auto fixed the cluster along with a handful of other things the vehicle needed all at a very reasonable price. ABM Auto is the only mechanic in the city that I will allow to work on my vehicle because to my knowledge they are the only mechanic in the city that knows how to work on it. Even if you do not have the same model car, I would still recommend you take your vehicle to ABM Auto, because unlike other mechanics, they are willing to put in the extra time and work to know how to take care of your car.

I went to ABM Auto to get the air conditioning in my car fixed. They had a great system for contact-less service. They quickly discovered the problem and gave me a breakdown of what needs to be done and cost. Air conditioning works great now! I am definitely going back to them to do other repairs to my car.

Before moving to the neighborhood, I had a mechanic I trusted, but who wasnt always the friendliest - (honestly, not a big deal)... but now that Ive been to ABM Im happy to have a place to go where the people are good at what they do AND friendly! I took my car in for an oil change, knowing that other stuff probably needed attention, and the whole staff was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. I was given options and the prices seemed fair. I will definitely be back the next time my car needs attention!

Excellent customer service! Needed a tire replaced offered a new tire or used he had available. Very affordable for labor. Took care of my tire issue promptly when a tech was available. Got my engine replaced a couple months ago for ~$4,500. Check engine light came on recently, code for coolant thermostat. I go to replace the broken thermostat, and there wasnt one at all. They didnt put it back in. Cant trust the quality of work here, go elsewhere.

Happened to break down right outside their shop. Within two hours theyd fixed my serpentine belt for less than $100. Super friendly on top of it!

I have been a customer of ABM for many years. They are honest and fair. Customer service is their first priority. I thought I was going to need a new radiator on my 750LI, and it was just a valve/connecting hose. I believe that if I would have brought it to anyone else they would have recommended a new one and cost me thousands.

This is after catching the guy at Speedline trying to change his voice on the phone when I inquired regarding the difference in his estimate for installing a set of shocks on my truck, $200 higher than a competitor. Terrible service from mechanics

Unbelievably knowledgeable and kind staff who knew exactly what to do for my 1985 Mercedes Diesel Station Wagon. The price was fair and they were very quick especially considering they had to get hard to find parts for my car.

I finally found a place that doesnt only care about cars but also cares about their costumers. Adeel is doing a great job in making sure that the customers are satisfied. He always made sure to give his 100% and he is just an outstanding individual. I am very satisfied!! Thank you Adeel for being better then all the other places that Ive been to!!!

I typically have good experiences at ABM. However, my last (and final) visit I tried to save money on an ignition coil replacement on four coils for my Nissan Altima by choosing ABM over another repair shop in Albany Park. This is a decision I now regret tremendously! Not only did I not save money, I ended up paying more since ABM didnt complete all the necessary repairs for the coil replacement and the wiring needed. When I called to let ABM know that the other auto shop needed to re-wire the coils, Adeel explained that I didnt need the wires to be done on the coils. ABM electrical taped wires together that should have been individually taped until an appropriate fix could be completed next weekend. I knew something was wrong when I kept smelling a burning odor and I called them immediately to confirm if this was normal. They said it was the degreaser from the oil leak into the coils before the repair. Also, they did not replace the value cover as I requested. Third, they were too busy to notice my motor mounts had gone bad too. Lastly, the rushed and lazy job performed caused the wires to short the electricity to my cars computer system. Ultimately, an ignition coil replacement ($900 job) is now going to end up costing me an additional $1,400 for a new computer and re-wire work for negligence. I would not recommend this place for auto repair. They take on too many jobs and rush through the work by taking shortcuts instead of performing the repair the proper way. Ive spent thousands of dollars in their shop just to have a sloppy wire job performed that will ultimately cost me another couple thousand more in repairs. Where is the customer care at? This could have been prevented. Its very disappointing!

This is my third time bringing my two cars a VW and a Honda for regular maintenance, and i must say one of the best repair shops i have visited!! Fair prices with excellent workmanship! I will always bring my cars here. This is by far a diamond star work shop and is located in a prime location. Im not sure what these other reviews are talking about but they must not know much about quality!!! I give this place a 5 out of 5!!!

My steering was vibrating and I went for wheel balancing with Adeel and crews, It was fast and timely manner with fair price of $35+tx for all four wheels. Office was clean and quite. What I liked the most is that they took decision to rotate tires by themselves and provided complementary service. It like having personal care taker of car since he keeps all records of repairs done at his shop and provides repair recommendations.

Whenever I have any issues with my car, I know I can take it to Adeel, and it will be in good hands. There are a lot of mechanics that I just dont trust because I feel like theyre trying to make more money off of me, but Adeel is someone who will straightforwardly tell you what work needs to be done now, and what can wait a while. Its an awful feeling when your car breaks down on you, but having someone like Adeel help you through it at least makes the process easier. I send all my friends and family here.

I came here to fix an oil leak from the rear valve cover gasket in my murano which is a big job with a lot of labor. I payed a very decent price and he even replaced some bulbs that were out for just a couple bucks. Adeel stuck to what I was quoted over the phone and even sent an uber to pick me up from home! Very honest and straightforward, I will be coming here from now on.

I am writing after five exemplary services, spanning over the course of a year, looking after my 2004 Honda Civic Ex Sedan. The guilt finally got to me after the most recent visit, when Adeel went out of his way to find me better parts, price matched with cheaper parts, 72 hours earlier than should have been possible.Adeel and his crew saved me hundreds of dollars, and a ton of anxiety, before my yearly 7 hour Thanksgiving road trip. They have been saving me time and money for over a year. It is no secret, that with yelp and google reviews, every mechanic--from mom and pop to your luxury end dealer--is competing for the title of Chicagos Most Trusted Mechanic. Its usually about one thing... honesty. Well, thankfully all of these reviews seem to be working, because I can tell you Ive been to a few honest and trustworthy mechanics in Chicagoland. What puts Adeel and his crew above the rest, is his willingness to meet you exactly where you are fiscally, comprehensively and sympathetically, giving you every option before driving off the shop floor.The ABM team wants to make sure you understand every facet of your vehicle, how they want to improve it, and helping you prioritize fixes... all the while never compromising the safety of you or your vehicle. This was a fairly long review which I have shortened for Google reviews; so the TLDR is that I loved my experience with ABM Auto Repair and I will be recommending them to friends and family. I wanted to wait at least 1 week before posting my review to make sure the work was done well, and it’s now been 8 days since I picked up the car and I am extremely happy with the work done, and the work done was extensive.Background: I own a Subaru 2006 Impreza, I bought it used at 30k in 2008 and now it is at 94k in 2006. As per usual for Subaru, it had a head gasket leak which I had ignored for 2-3 years. It also needed a new timing belt, drive belt, etc. Finally I wanted the antenna and air conditioning looked at because the AC unit had always had a smell since I bought it, and my antenna had stopped working (no AM reception, FM was spotty).Found ABM on Google / Yelp with glowing reviews.I dropped off the car Monday at 9am, by 12pm (3 hrs later) I had an estimate for all the work I requested, and they properly diagnosed two additional problems I knew about but forgot to mention (needed new spark plugs, brake fluids needed servicing). Finally he mentioned a 3rd new issue but after explaining what it was, he said this could definitely wait and we didn’t need to do this now. All together it was about $3300 of work. I know other mechanics would have probably quoted a price that was $300-500 cheaper perhaps, but I was impressed by their efficiency and communication thus far, and again the glowing reviews going in, so I agreed and they said it would take till Thursday.Thursday they kept me apprised of the work, I was able to pickup the car without issue. They discovered an issue with the muffler which they hadn’t noted on initial drop off so they fixed it with no cost to me. Adeel included it in the invoice so that they could honor the warranty on the muffler and its work.Now my car drives better than when I bought it used, I’m serious! It’s become a pleasure to drive this car again. The rough idle is gone what with the new spark plugs and belts. Radio is fixed, air conditioning smell is gone. I think the muffler noise may have been there before because the car is so quiet now, and it definitely wasn’t when I dropped it off (I thought noise was from the issues with the engine).I will still use my old mechanic for small, quick stuff because he does things cheap but for important tune ups and big jobs I have already recommended ABM to family and friends.

If you want to be yelled at and treated like dirt, then yes absolutely go to Adeel! This guy misdiagnosed a major problem with my vehicle and then wanted to charge me a few hundred in labor after almost begging me on the phone to bring it back after reading my negative Yelp review. He first insisted that the previous repair they did just had a faulty part but I insisted that wasnt the issue, told them what it was and sure enough, I was right (I found the answer on Google after 5 minutes and this dude who is paid to work on cars didnt catch it until I stated the problem, really?). I felt that to be charged all that labor was majorly unfair since I had previously dropped $400 on an unnecessary repair and because I had to tell him what was wrong for him to even consider it.Apparently this dudes fragile ego was hurt at this point and he started going on about how he believes in God and karma (ps: karma is a buddhist ideal, so which one is it?). There was a line in there somewhere about how cars are just machines, were all machines, and these things happen (???). In the end he told me he didnt want to work on my car anymore (he acted like this was a big deal, like Im missing out on this guys work wow big deal good riddance cant wait to not get ripped off anymore...narcissists am I right?). HE then kept accusing ME of trying to rip him off (still not sure how?) and dramatically took $300 cash out of his wallet and slammed it on the desk like he was starring in his own telenovela saying heres your refund. He probably felt really cool though I never asked for a refund, but I told him that dramatic $300 was $100 short so we stood there while he wrote us a check. He had me sign a paper that said I was refunded out of good will which we had a hearty laugh about later...what a savior! Its not like he spent the previous 15 minutes accusing me of being a scam artist just because I want problems on my car to be fixed the first time. How he feels it is appropriate to yell at his paying customers is beyond me.After doing some research I see that many of his 5 star reviews are from friends and family. Beware of this guy, hes a ticking time bomb whose fragile masculinity cannot handle any sort of criticism.

Abm Auto is the worst auto repair shop in Chicago. Let me feel you in !!!. If you have been there before, you will notice that he always say leave the car and I will call you when I am done. Even for a simple issue as oil change. Guys, do not leave your car with this Adeel and ABM Auto !!!!!. If you have to leave your car, please do a complete inventory on parts that are in your car.This guy with swicth your good part for a generic hand made part that he got from another car with your part. His favorite and common car parts are alternators and starters. If you pay him with a credit card, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU REVIEW YOU CREDIT CARD STATEMENT FOR THE NEXT SIX MONTHS. For he is well known for going back to charge your card the second time for the same repair.His MO is we are very busy, please leave your car DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR !!!!. If this guy work on your car, your car will never be the same again.

I have a Toyota Matrix 2007 model and I approached Toyota dealers (2 Dealers) for replacing the front break pads and rotors. One dealer gave me a quote of $775 +Tax and the other gave me $243 Incl Tax for the pads only.I approached ABM auto with reference from my friend. ABM accommodated me in the days tight schedule and did the great work in 3 hours while waiting. My bill was $275 for the break pads and rotors. Then I asked about the timing belt on my car. Adeel explained me that there is no timing belt on this car. There is a timing chain and do not need any replacement as it has a very long life. Toyota dealer gave me a quote during my oil change that Timing belt and some other belt is gone bad. it will cost me $310 + Tax. However I refused that and came out of the service center. Adeel changed me the other belt for $70 incl Tax ($40 Belt + $30 Labor). I think it is a genuine auto care center who is giving great service in Chicago Land Area. In the market there are different type of spare parts available. Ask Adeel to get the genuine part and he will help you with the best part to replace it. for some parts you may not need OEM spares and waste your money. you can get the cheaper one out of market and replace it. The workshop is always clean and maintained good tools. The exit service is really great. The service technician will bring the car right in front the main exit door and will wait for you. Once the payment is made and you turn back the car is right there. I recommend everyone to get serviced at ABM auto garage. Dont get ripped off by the dealers or other brand auto care centers.

ABM Auto Repair is the most honest and reliable auto shop Ive ever been to. As a woman, Im sure I am not the only one who has felt taken advantage of when it comes to mechanical repairs. But seriously, F that! Its called the internet, do research, read reviews, goggle it. Before I came to ABM I went to another place that estimated to fix some broken tail lights for $250+!!! WTF?! how appalling and ridiculous is that. I left that place and came straight here from reading all other yelp reviews. Adeel was awesome and he printed out an invoice that listed the price of parts and labors. He even gave me a choice of picking up my own parts and bring it in and only pay for the labor. He fixed my lights for under $30! Needless to say I was so grateful and relieved to find this place. Also when the lights went off, he told me to come back and he fixed it again at no charge. Now, thats excellent service. Also I like their shop, its always clean and organized compared to all the others ive been to. Oh, and the mechanics are always friendly. Ive been back to get an oil change and to fix my heater and I can say that the service is pretty consistent and quick! So come here... or dont come here because I dont want people to discover this gem ;) (also, i have a confession. i went to a different auto repair shop to get my trunk fixed because it wouldnt close... and what i learned that day: never again go to another shop. that guy was so rude and totally ripped me off. talking about how he can charge me that much because he uses his smarts while pointing to his greedy noggin. this was at OZCO btw. not only did he rip me off but he was so condescending about it. ugh, i dont ever want to remember again. but for the sake of comparing, ABM is a safe haven)

Very bad experience with this workshop. The precious ones are very high, the employees are very kind, very honest, not the owner. The employees themselves told me they would charge me for parts that they had not put on. I composed the car of something and returned it to the next day ... and the very trustee told me that I needed to change something else ... of course I charged extra.terrible the price for a good service is paid but what is paid This workshop is a robbery..
