Way over priced for Cheyenne area thrift stores. We dont even pay half those prices down in Ft Collins, CO when we thrift that area. I took a picture of a certain shelf a couple months ago because I thought the shelf never changed items. To my surprise, I recently compared the photo to the current shelf. The photo and shelf looked exactly the same as a couple months ago. Not one item moved or changed in 2 months. I did notice on this trip that many items are even higher priced than before. Business 101, any item that doesnt move within 7 to 14 days in a liquidation or thrift environment becomes warehouse storage and not cash! Passing up donations because your warehouse is full is like throwing money away from your business. Just a hint, if you can sell 25 of the same item a month for 5 dollars or 30 dollars for one item whenever it sells, guess which system makes money? We love St Vincent thrift other places, but literally, this store in Cheyenne has become a local joke with anyone who thrifts regularly in the area. Just telling the truth. Praying someone will listen and make necessary changes so this becomes a thrift store again. They took thrift off their sign. How sad. St Vincent was about helping the poor and in need, not making local churches wealthy.

We thought it was just us, that the prices seemed so high.I fully support charitable thrift stores, but if their prices are above what someone will reasonably pay, how can they make the money they need for their charitable efforts? When we were there, we saw an item with an UNSOLD eBay listing printed out and taped to it -- and the item was marked at that same price. When something goes unsold on eBay, its because no one (of the millions of people on eBay) wanted it. Why do they think that its worth that price, to the few people who will see it in Cheyenne, Wyoming? This was sad, because normally, St Vincent de Paul stores are our very favorite.EDIT: we visited against in April 2018. Prices were even higher. They dont call this a thrift store anymore, its St Vincent Mall . $5 for a saucer, $30 for a cracked casserole. Im sorry.

Great variety and everything in good shape. Items are priced to sell. The store gives money to local charities that help everyone, including St. Josephs Food Pantry.

Really good store the prices are very good. There is China sets and crystal, the stuff in there is in good condition. And the staff there is always friendly and nice. Lots of old furniture is sold there and in my experience old furniture is built to last, now days like at walmart they use cheap material that wont last. You get what you pay for. Also they check to see if their products work and they also have things priced from Ebay but they go a lot lower than the Ebay price. I think that is good, so that way customers can see how much that electronic item is and see how good of a deal they are getting! For example on the bose speaker system on Ebay it sells for $3000, the mall of svdp is only selling it for $600 the manager also told me that their electronics are tested by an engineer. Also this place is a mission so they help people right then and their. Theyve helped people get home supplies who couldnt afford it, also they give people needs such as clothes, shoes, etc. They donate to places such as safe house and the coma shelter. Very good place to go.

You can buy stuff cheaper at Wal-Mart or Goodwill! The prices keep climbing! Extremely, ridiculously overpriced - double, triple and quadruple the price of other thrift stores in Wyoming and Colorado! Someone please do something about these prices on used, sometimes non-working items. Please! These prices might work in New York, but this is Wyoming!!! I can only imagine that while St. Vincents is barely surviving, Meals on Wheels Thrift store in Cheyenne makes thousands of dollars a month because they have mostly affordable items and ever-changing stock. A crowd of people fight to get in their doors the first day theyre open each week and Meals On Wheels is crowded the other days theyre open too!!! The people are even kind there! St. Vincent in Cheyenne needs someone who knows retail management to drive sales and get customers coming back looking at new items, not the same old overpriced stuff thats been on the shelf for YEARS! UGH. Dont waste your time here folks.

My husband walked into this store, and spoke with a few people. Then was told by a a lady in the store (he feels might have been a worker) who said we cant help you we dont allow trash here. Im sorry, I dont care if your having a bad day or what but that is not how you treat another human. Especially when your a St. Vincet De Paul! Where have your morals gone?

How this place stays in business with the prices they have is beyond me. Some of the clothing prices arent bad for general stuff. They post unsold ebay prices all over stuff and ask 5 bucks less. Highest price thrift store Ive been in out of the 100s I have gone to. If you are a reseller just drive on by.Edit: Since the owner claims they dont use ebay listings posting I went back and grabbed a few photos. You be the judge on what they use. This is the only thrift store in town I have ever seen with $35 Nikes and $45 dollar Lauren Ralph Lauren stuff (that is easily found elsewhere in town for under $10).

First there was a fire that caused a lot of damage. They have a temporary location on Snyder to store what they can until the actual store is rebuilt. Second, there has been a management change since the comments about the high prices and the new management does not operate that way. All the proceeds go to local charities such as the food pantry, lunch programs, etc.
