As a first time customer, I felt at home and welcome here. They did an amazing job on my 3 pigs. I was also a first time pig grower, and ignorant on the cut sheet, but they were awesome and helped me navigate my way through it. I strongly recommend calling them for your processing needs, I will for my next time!

If I could give zero stars I would. I was reluctant to take a deer I had taken to a processor and doing it myself but I was pressed on time. I asked them to break the deer down into muscle groups and package the grind pile separate. After getting the deer home I opened a package of meat noticing they were very large and label very strange. The processor simply boned out the deer that was already quartered and wrapped it with the fat and damaged meat still intact. They have refused to do anything about it claiming the owner is too busy. To top it off the tenderloin and back straps are no where to be found. This place is a disgusting claim to processors. I will be doing 100% of my processing myself.

We are somehow missing meat from our cow we had butchered here. The cow was 605 lbs hanging weight and we only received 255 lbs of meat packaged. Shannon agreed that we should have had more meat but after she spoke with the owner they decided we weren’t missing any. But according to their reviews this obviously happens a lot. A lot of the meat wasn’t even frozen when we picked it up and they said they were having issues with their freezer and it wasn’t as cold as it should be. That should be a health code violation! Additionally, they were supposed to have put the ground beef in 1.5 lb packages and the majority of them were barely over 1 lb. I am not impressed and will not be giving them my business ever again.

If I could give them less I would or hams and bacon look freezer burned an un smoked !! The ham I cooked for easter I had to through away because it tasted like it was sour!!! I had a very small pig processed 132 pounds the processing was more here than when I had a 250 pound pig done at Hudson locker. A huge waste of money $270 in processing and $125 for the pig to be thrown away!!!!!! I wish I could post pictures of what the bacon and hams look like!!! So disgusted

Drove 10 miles out of town to get there at 4:45 and they were closed. I called an hour before and they said they closed at 5.

Took my deer in to be processed, and only received 20 pounds total for a mature buck (arrow shot great placement). I was also supposed to get 10 pounds of sausage, its no where to be found and was told it could of been labelled as burger.

We got approximately 1/2 of our cow. The other half mysteriously disappeared. The meat was cut in such a poor way. The double wrap consisted of Saran Wrap and paper. You can’t put roasts or steaks on from frozen because the Saran Wrap is folded into the meat. We ordered 2 prime ribs and instead received 2 briskets. The additional steaks that should have been there since we didn’t get the prime rib were never located. VERY, VERY POOR AND DISAPPOINTING. Would tell anyone interested NOT to utilize the facility

Way over priced, cost over 500 for two Elk. Took almost a month to get my meat back. When we got it home everything is labeled hamburger or steak. I dont know where the tinder lions and the back straps are or if Ieven go them. Be careful!

Was given 4 packages of goat meat to cook for a goat roast 2 weeks ago. Name on the package was Home on the Range Meat Processing....I was very impressed with the condition of the meat, no blood and well wrapped. We will be using them for our goats this fall! Thanks guys and gals from Home on the Range!

Disappointing! Please understand that my partner and I take great pride in caring for the animals we harvest. Ive worked as a professional big game guide as well and have taken care of LOTS of animals over the years to and from the field. My hunting partner and I have been using these guys for years and have always, more or less, been satisfied. However, weve noticed a decline in customer service and how our meat has been packaged for the three years. In 2012, the gal managing the place cursed and swore at us when dropping off our quartered elk (after told to bring them in 15 minutes prior) so we left and the elk were processed elsewhere. I personally spoke with the owner and he said he took care of it (and did). Last year our elk were not packaged as requested but we shrugged that one off. This year (2014) we dropped our quartered elk off as we always have. When we picked up our elk we were told we both owed $234 (I harvested a fully mature bull and my partner a small spike). When asked why it was so expensive the gal told me that this year they had a flat price of $155, over and above the hanging weight of our elk and that it was a lot more work for us if the animal is quartered (my partner and I as well as the manager and owner took all the meat out of the cloth bags and hung them - the elk no dirt, grass, etc. on the meat). To add insult to injury our elk were not packaged as requested (not even close) and it appeared we were shorted meat.I spoke with the manager and he could not answer why our elk were the same price when mine was so much bigger then my partners or why the meat was packaged wrong. He also told me that he had personally witnessed our elk processed and agreed it appeared we were shorted and would speak to the owner. I havent heard from the owner! I can appreciate times are hard for small business owners but they are also hard on everyone else too. We could have gotten our elk processed a heck of a bunch cheaper if we took it into Encampment, Rawlins or Saratoga but always iced them and brought them back to support our home town processor.

This business is on probation by the state after being force shut down due to ill conditions. This is not the first mandated shut down under Craig Oceanic the owner. he has been fined several times through out the years.I personally witnessed Craig having his employees grind rotten pork and wanting to freeze it fast to get it out the door he has several infractions and has lost us USDA State certification several times. Not Recommended to buy meat or have any processed at this shop.

Clean and friendly. Dropped off a whitetail doe, and got it back in about 2 weeks (which is what they initially estimated). Employee stayed after closing so I could pick up my deer.
