This was without a doubt the best car rental experience Ive ever had. The service was fantastic and the car was amazing. The Toyota Camry I got was the cleanest car and it was such a smooth ride. Made me think really hard about getting a new car.

I have had the absolute worst experience with Avis. I was given a dirty car that I had to clean myself. The license tag was expired from 2020. It needed an oil chance with the last one being in December 2020. The air conditioning had an awful smell which made it hard to keep it on. I lost a day of travel going back and forth between locations trying to find an Avis that would help; it was four total locations. I called four times and no one could help. Today I have called more than 7 times. I have been hung up on three times. All other times I have been transferred to someone who keeps telling me they can’t help. There is no direct number to store locations so I can’t get in touch with the one I originally placed the reservation with. I have wasted yet another day of travel trying to get someone to help me extend my reservation. I am not going to pay the extension because it is not my fault I can’t make it on my designated time. It’s due to time I have spent trying to get this car situation fixed. Being that no one can help me and all of your employees are hanging up on me, I am doing all I can to make this known. I will not be returning the car tomorrow - FYI. I will not be paying an extension. Also, I tried filing a complaint but your employees hung up on me and there is no where to submit it online. So this is my formal complaint. Thanks.

We were given a car that had just been returned. Was not cleaned or inspected. Low washer fluid light was on, previous renters contract still in the car along with trash in the front and back seats. EXTREMELY disappointed as we chose Avis due your covid cleaning procedures listed online and at the pickup location.

Car was given to another customer ahead of us. Waited 2 hours to get another one. It had bucket seats instead of bench seat so not as much seating for a 7 hour drive with 7 people. Return trip we called the office they said we could return it by 9:30, we were at the office at 9:00, no one was in the office. It was locked. Had to call to get someone to help us return the vehicle. Got a runaround.

I received a car with a cracked windshield. That looked like someone hauled a bale of hay. I returned the car a couple hours early. And the insufficiently trained new guy. Did not do the paperwork correctly. He was fired for not knowing his job (a recent veteran who did not receive proper training) but no one double checked his work. Thusly after several days of charging me over the top fees for not returning the car. I was sent a voice mail begging to find out when I would be bringing the car back. As it sat in the Avis rental yard. I had to fight to get the charges dropped. Meanwhile the hold of almost $600 overcharge caused me to not have money for food or gas. Making bills late ($100 late fee) and no gas to get to work for 5 days. I didnt ask for an apology. I dont believe apologies from people who get paid to answer the phone are genuine especially when they are paid by the hour. I felt like my entire charge Including what I paid for the rental should have been refunded. In fact, the guy at the counter said he would work on that. But to no avail. Additionally, I have rented cars from this location at LEAST 12 times in just the last year. Not to mention 3 years prior

Well, The representative kept trying to give me an upgrade and I didnt want it. Then I was given a car with a crack in the windshield. Then I had to go back and have it noted. They didnt offer me different car they just noted it and said its fine. Then it got bigger about midway through my rental and I had the inconvenience of having to it back because it was a safety hazard and I told them it got bigger and the guy just said ok, I will be here when u check out so dont worry about it. No concern for my safety or comfort. We didnt even drive it the last half of the rental cause we were afraid something worse may happen. I am highly disappointed and feel I should be compensated for this terrible experience.

We had an absolutely terrible rental experience. From the unavailability of our vehicle just nine minutes prior to pick up time, to the mind blowing horrendous customer “service” and rude treatment, and finally receiving a filthy vehicle (full of beer caps, chips and wrappers and COMPLETELY UNSanitized during Covid)...I cannot and WILL NOT EVER use Avis, especially the local Cheyenne office, again.

Avis made my car renting experience very smooth. My husband had reserved a car through Enterprise on a Wednesday, He needed to pick it up Saturday so he could drive to Texas for work. When he made the reservation they accepted his information & debit card. They called him last minute on Friday to let him know they couldn’t except his debit card, which made zero sense, all of the information was his & he was the driver. It was important that he pay with his debit card because his boss was paying for the rental & we had deposited it into our account. We then went to Enterprise in person & when we got there they asked if we’d be paying with debit or credit!! I was livid! At this point we decided I would drive him to Texas since I had a credit card in my name. Enterprise gave me a quote of how much it would be and then at the end as I was getting ready to sign paper work the price jumped up by $300. I was done with them & we were panicking because we weren’t sure if we would have a car to get him to Texas. I got online & made a reservation with Avis. I got to Avis & the gentlemen explained to me that normally we have to call them first to make sure they have a car for rent. We explained it was last minute because of a job and how Enterprise had screwed us over. A customer had just returned a rental as we got in line & the representative allowed us to rent the SUV as long as we were okay that it hadn’t been detailed. It only took 15 minutes! That is incredible considering I had been dealing with Enterprise for half of the day. So thank you Avis for being a great company to work with. The price was also fantastic & fair. I also extended my reservation by a day through online customer service & my experience was stress free! Thank you, thank you! I will be recommending your company to everyone I know & will be making reservations through you for the rest of the summer!

Steve was a nice easy guy to work with, the corporate booking is a joke they have no idea what is available and really to be rented. They only had a ford pickup available. Which I got for economy price but only got 19 miles to the gallon. Plus it had speed limiting device in a region where the highways speed limit was 80mph. The full coverage insurance was almost $70 for 1 and 1/2 days

I felt that I was lied to about which insurance I should get and I was lied to about the cars that were available to me this came from the person behind the counter I was misled to believe that I needed to purchase insurance this was the day of our departure and I had no choice I spoke to customer service later they informed me that the SUV were available to be rented that were on the lot which the person behind the counter told me they were not I was lied to

The staff at Avis were very helpful. Avis was the best value for the services that we needed on our trip. While driving, we decided that Sirius Radio would be nice for our trip. I called the Cheyenne Avis office and asked if it was possible to add the service. The person working that Saturday said she’d check into it and would let me know. Within a short time, we were enjoying Sirius Radio on our trip! They were very helpful and I will definitely go through Avis again.

Its a very new facility! And very basic! Not many signs of direction, for example where are the rental returns? As of this writing inside the terminal. No restaurant or even vending machines. Other than that simple and clean.

The best service Ive received from a car rental company.Steve is extremely kind and helpful. I was desperate to find a car on a Saturday afternoon for an important trip because my ride broke down and luckily Avis were open. Steve helped me get a car right before closing and I had no issues for the rest of my weekend.I highly recommend Avis if you are looking for a rental car in Cheyenne!

First time using Avis and was so very pleased. Easiest pickup ever, like 30 seconds. Drop off was even quicker. Car was super nice, clean and enjoyable to drive. I actually felt spoiled with the backup camera feature. Will use Avis again and you should too.

This location should get 10 stars!! This is by far one of the best Avis, and Ive been to many over the country, and believe me this is the best one! Ive never had an issue, always greeted with a friendly smile. My company uses them frequently. Steve is the manger at this location and has always gone above and beyond for us! We had a chance to switch, but told them to keep using this Avis. We wont use any other rental company in Cheyenne. I cant recommend this location, and/or Steve enough!

Worst service I have ever received, I was told I could not rent a car because of a ticket I had over 10 years old. I asked why and the answer was “thats the politics of the company sir”. Really professional customer service, save your money and shop elsewhere. Waste of money

The customer service was poor!!! The lack of comunicaton was even worse!!! You reserve a car that he claims he has and you get there and he conveniently dont have any cars left when he just told me he was out side washing cars!! Wouldnt recommend this place if it was the last place in the state!!

I rented an SUV for a two-week trip to the East Coast recently. The customer service at the Avis counter was typical of small town Wyoming--unpretentious and unassuming. And I appreciate that. When I arrived at the desk I was given paperwork to initial and the keys to the car. When I returned the car, it was given a quick lookover and odometer check. I signed my receipt and I was off. It was a simple easy transaction. The car was well maintained. And the small town customer service was appreciated. I would recommend to others.

I was completely disappointed in the service I received from this Avis. William was rude upon my rental and no one walked out to the car to inspect it with me in fact I had to go in and report the obvious damage smell of cigarette smoke etc. I took photos of the damage done as I was worried I would be blamed....well guess what they tried to blame me for the damage despite me reporting it to them prior to even leaving the lot. This is one of the most unprofessional places my husband and I have ever gone to. There were others trying to rent as well as I fight came in and no one was at the office and they had to be called. We were all sitting and waiting and he walked in and in a short and direct statement said if you want to rent a car then you better follow me. He was rude throughout the rental procedure as well. I highly recommend no using this AVIS and try Hertz there at the airport.

Cheyenne, Wyoming. Just called to rent a car for 4 days. The guy working told me he has cars available but they have no gas in them so he cant rent one to me. Im not arriving into Cheyenne for another 2 hours, he again said, no I cant rent them, they have no gas. WOW! Avis, needs to invest in customer service training. You just lost a $450 minimum sale.

I made a reservation online, pre-paid for my reservation. When I called to be picked up, I was told they dont have a vehicle. When I asked my money to refunded, the rep on the phone tells me that he doesnt have the ability to do ao and that I would have to call the 800#. I was bit annoyed and restated I had to call another line despite them taking my money for product they dont have? The repa tone became smug and seemed annoyed. Even the rep at 800 # was smug too. Oh and I was told it would take about 4 days to be refunded.

Very bad experience. We reserved a car a week in advance; when we arrived to pick it up, they said we didnt have a reservation - when we reserved the car, we offered a credit card, they declined that. The lady (?) was extremely rude and wouldnt even try to help us. Never again.
