My Maverick and I go on the weekends so that he can run around and play by himself as hes had several problems since Ive adopted him from here. He just loves it. I have known about Black Dog Animal Rescue since the day they started so many years ago. We cant always donate the money we would like to do but we are able to donate other things that might even help someone else to get started at adopting their precious babies. My loyalty will always be with BDAR. Just love them!!

They are probably one of the two great rescues I worked with. They are so helpful to try to find a match for you. No long time to wait for replies. No outrageous adoption fees. No tons of red tape or hoops to jump through. They truly want to help you find your fur-ever friend! And they also seriously care about the dogs they have! Unfortunately I did not find my rescue here but they are great! (The other great place is AARF in Divide CO)

This shelter is pretty sad! They simply do not want their dogs to be adopted. I am more than qualified and was ready to make a companion for life and provide the pet with an amazing life and I was declined simply because I have an extra housemate. Its really sad because shelters should be thrilled to have their pets adopted by qualified owners. My final thoughts is that it is a sorry excuse for a shelter and I feel bad for the pets that dont get adopted simply because there was one extra housemate within the household.

Before I moved they loaded my service K-9 and comfort Kitty with food and kitty litter thank you for the assistance and the much-needed help we are very grateful. If youre in the area of Cheyenne check them out and be happy to donate to them they are great people and they provide a much-needed service the community. You cannot go wrong giving and donating to this particular rescue its absolutely fantastic in the people are absolutely the nicest you will ever meet.

Highly disappointed. My dog passed away. I wanted to donate all of his stuff. I made 6 trips from the car into the building with tears streaming down my face and not one staff person offered to help me.

Everyone there was super friendly and knowledgeable. They helped to make my pet adoption experience very smooth.

God sent place! Dont bother just stopping by. They dont keep any of the animals in their building. They are all in foster homes, instead of sitting in a cage, which is amazing! Visit their website to look at the animals and request to see them. The receptionist is really nice and friendly!

They seem to truly care about their animals. Bonnie came to us from the PACK Program and has been a blessing! Happy and well behaved.

These guys are great! Six and a half years years ago, we adopted one wonderful adult rescue from another organization. After giving him 6 months to settle in, it was clear he wanted a doggie friend. We met one dog through Black Dog Rescue (an awesome dog - just not a great fit). Black Dog got a sense of our guy and recommended a different adult girl doggie. She was a fantastic match for our dog and our life style. We all adore her, and we are so grateful shes family.

I am very please with this shelter and the amount of love they have for animals.They do their due diligence to find great homes for their rescues.I adopted a wonderful little dog and just love her!!!

They have a very good adoption process, and having the dogs in foster care prior to their adoption I think makes a big difference compared to a shelter

Very, very rude staff! they do not care about you the adopters or the dogs just the money, every question I asked about the dog they blamed me and said its your fault basically. So took the dog back because it was too aggressive, they took my money and told me to never come back nor allowed to adopt from them. I highly recommend not purchasing a dog here. they do not work with them so they develop bad habbits and become aggressive. Then theyll point the finger and blame it all on you. With no doggie door or any allegation of one and the claimed threat of the poor puppies life, nor have you ever tried contacting us and me living with my parents to top off those false accusations stated.

When adopting this is the first place I would go to seek a furry family member! These folks do an outstanding job and their love for animals really shows in their work!

We recently adopted Niffy, now called Tiffy, she is wonderful, been walking everyday and wife has taken her to the dog park where she loves chasing balls. We love her and are so glad to have her in our home, thanks to everyone at Black Dog Rescue for what you do!!
