Boy did we get taken advantage of. Dont trust their quotes. I dropped my homeowners and auto insurance that Ive had for decades because of how good my quote was. So I dropped my old policies and signed onto my wifes State Farm policy only to be told LATER (AFTER my old insurance was canceled) that they cant insure my manufactured home for the amount that was quoted and for the premium quoted. So I had no choice but to try to get my old policy back but wasnt able to. Had to try 2 different policies for double what I use to pay. Then comes the auto fiasco. My state farm auto policy almost doubled from what was quoted. So I had to pay the $610 monthly premium to get me by while i shopped around. Finally found All State in Chesterton, and they quoted my manufactured home and all 4 vehicles and 4 drivers for half the price and double the coverage, and guess what, no changes in price from the quote because underwriting is done right there while being quoted. Only thing that had to be done was a basic home inspection which mine passed. So I canceled my State Farm auto policy 3 weeks into the 1st month leaving 1 week unused (prorated) of around $150, and wouldnt you know, they refused to refund my money even after Jim said it would be prorated for the time that wasnt used. They actually had enough nerve to say I MIGHT GET A BILL because more money is due! How does this place stay in business? They send me a $610 bill for 1st month, I pay it in full, I cancel 3 weeks into the 1st month, and they keep my $150 and threatened to send more charges? After a bill was paid in full and 1 week wasnt used???? I told them I was writing a review if they didnt make things right, and I was told more money might be due.... so heres your review State Farm! Never again will I use them or refer them to anyone! All State kicked their butt!

You get what you pay for. The service at this particular branch has been the best service Ive ever had for insurance anything.

Dont call for a quote. I called for one on my new house had been with him for 6 years on auto and 4 years on home the quote was too high for my debt to income so I told them not to start policy. I called around to my amazement on home majority were a whole lot cheaper. Jim was close on auto. But I called back to cancel my auto to get multi discount with new insurance and again stated to Melissa that I did not need that policy I got a quote on. They claimed my mortgage inquired about the policy so they activated. my mortgage said they did not authorise it that I would of had to sign like I did with esurance which they did. Now Jim has not received payment from my escrow because no one authorised it and is billing me from where mortgage wont pay him. He says he can only take off one month not the two months owed and it is my mortgage companies responsibility because they authorised it and they disagree now I am out 100s of dollars because his office is full of idiots. It is not state farm doing it just his office. I strongly suggest to call a different agent his office is the worse.
