I have found a wonderful new home for my curly and wild hair. Ben, owner of Salon Escape, is an absolutely fantastic stylist who thoroughly understands hair, its daily needs, and hair style. After nearly forty years of thinking my curly-haired scalp was oily and therefore needed drying, Bens suggestions have have helped my scalp health immensely in just a few months. It turns out it was dry and needed moisture! His simple olive oil remedy has helped me immensely. He is so kind, gifted, and thoughtful. Visiting his salon is truly a joy.

Place just rocks! And Ben cut my girls hair like he has mastered the art his whole life!

My experience took place with Ben Dumi. So much went wrong... Ill start with the hair and try to simplify it:He messed something up, I explained what that was and he agreed that the hair looked wrong, but that he did not make a mistake, and instead the problem was with my curls being uneven. I kept asking him to do something to at least make it look better, but he got frustrated saying Tell me what to do. I am not a hair dresser so I had no clue. He should have taken responsibility and fixed it instead of having another stylist finish it (and she did make it look better).By the way, only after I gave him this feedback and the feedback below, did he apologize and admit that he messed up.Now the rest:1. After greeting me, he said one minute then called a friend on his cell phone2. He took me straight back to the hair-washing station-- I had to stop him and ask for a consultation.3. He used a brush with SOMEONE ELSES HAIR on it, and I had to ask him to use a different one.4. He continued to chat with people around us, going to look at someone elses baby while I waited in the chair.Despite all the mistakes, they still had me pay full price. I STRONGLY advise against seeing this stylist.

A pretty little salon. I usually go to Reema for my regular waxing and threading. She is expert in her field and she is awsome. I would surely go again next time.

Grabbed a deal from Groupon for this salon and my fiance absolutely loved it! Heather did her hair and the experience could not have been better. She was very friendly and professional. My fiance didnt stop smiling the entire time she was there. The environment was very warm and inviting. If we lived in STL, this would be my fiances salon of choice. I only wish we would have gotten her nails done there too (went to another salon (from groupon) and got a sub par nail job). All n All, the experince could not have been better. And ohh yeah, My fiance has gotten compliment after compliment about how great her hair looks. Give them a shot; definitely worth it.
