I went to the center upon referral to have a cancerous growth removed on my left check. Though the day of the surgery appeared to go well and staff was pleasant, it wasnt until a week later I learned of the true nature of what I had gotten myself into. I followed the post-operative instructions closely, given my parents were a doctor and a nurse and had instilled things like this in us.Upon unwrapping the bandage, they found surgery location infected. They started squeezing the wound to draw out the infection, which was very disconcerting when I thought I was there for a normal follow-up appointment. The wound looked like swiss-cheese.I learned they hadnt bothered to prescribe any antibiotics to provide a preventative screen to make sure this type of thing wouldnt happen. Being told, These things happen sometimes… was not comforting, especially when it was in the middle of my face.Ive had surgeries before, they prescribed post-operative antibiotics to make sure infection did not set in. I havent had any surgercal infections until the visit to The Laser and Dermatologic Surgery Center.Now I live with a 2-inch permanent scar on the left side my face which didnt need to be there. An expected small scar, sure. Mine? No. Ive visited a plastic surgeon who said they could maybe smooth it out a bit with a laser but it would still be present.I will request referral to other surgeons for dermatology work in the future.

One cant say enough about Mary McKaig. I travel from Texas just for her perfect botox and filler. Not too much, not too little, just right! I count on her to make me the best I can look and be. There isnt a nurse within 1000 miles that can beat her perfection! For real.

Today was my most positive Fraxel experience yet! Yes, there was discomfort during the procedure, even with topical numbing, but the procedure lasted about a minute. The hand held fan helps greatly. After an hour of ice at home, the discomfort was minimal. And unlike other methods, this heals quickly.IMHO, its definitely worth it!

The staff was very welcoming and willing to fit me in, considering the mass confusion we had on the scheduling. (It will be a talk of the office for a while, Im sure) HA-HA! All jokes aside, they were very welcoming, very respectful and going out of their way to make the patient feel nothing but comfort. Dr Kathleen Nemer was so fast and efficient. Her nurse was very polite and went into depth on post procedure and after procedure. And making sure I was at optical comfort during procedure. Terrible service and a waste of time! I spoke to multiple people and got different answers each time. Ashley was terrible. I have a bump on my lip, thought it might be a cyst, inquired about laser removal. Ashley stated they could remove it but not with a laser. I called other places and got referred right back to Dr. Hruza. Therefore, I called this place back to schedule an appointment to possibly get it removed with a scalpel, which Ashley said they do, and this time, you could tell Ashley was in the background talking to Robin, telling her they dont remove cysts at all. At this point I dont know if its a cyst and was looking for some medical expertise, but they didnt even want to look at it. Prior to this, I called the same place a couple of monthhs ago, and they said that DO remove lip cysts with lasers. Super sketchy people. DONT GO HERE FOR YOUR DERMATOLOGY NEEDS. THEY ARE INCOMPETENT.

It was a good visit. All the staff were both pleasant and efficient. The procedure room was a pleasant place to wait - there was a lot of that, but not a surprise of course. The pre-visit literature was quite thorough and explanatory regarding what to expect.

There’s always that bit of anxiety anytime a person has to get some surgery done. I have to say, that quickly went away for me as soon as I was taken into “my room”. Every nurse that took care of me today was very friendly, compassionate, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time, and was explained to every step of the way what was happening. Although I have no idea what’s under this bandage, I feel very confident that Dr. Nemer and her assistant (I believe he was a fellow)? did everything to make sure there will be minimal scarring. Thank you to everyone who had a part in my surgery today! What a great team!

Beautiful office. Great staff and they were able and willing to take care of my issues the same day. I am lucky to have come in. By performing the procedure, they potentially saved my life and definately gave me peace of mind.

Undergoing mohs surgery is very stressful; you do not know how many passes it will require or how long it will take until you are done. While I knew I was in excellent hands with Dr. Hruza, I also appreciated the kindness and concern of each and every staff member. Everyone was warm, friendly and carefully explained what to expect each step of the way. I never felt as if they were rushed. They made a stressful day much easier. Highly recommend.

I had a good experience today with the staff. It was only my consultation though so I can not give a rating based on results. I felt very welcomed by everyone from the time I walked in until I left. The only reason I give 4 stars is because it was a rather long appointment to just glance at my nose and say Ok. Thank you for the kindness. Hoping the Mohs Surgery goes well.

I have venous lakes on my lip. Years ago I was told that surgery would leave a scar that would be worse than the lesions and to eave them alone. Today they can be treated by laser and I am so happy that I can get them removed for my 70th birthday. I thought there were 3 of them and there are actually 5.
