On October 3rd, I had the privilege to propose to the girl of my dreams. Michael Herr played a significant role in doing so. I was referred here by one of my closest friends who recently got engaged. All I can say is that this place made me feel like family. I didnt think of just a customer as I felt at other jewelry stores.Michael and the rest of the staff made me and my special day feel even greater importance. Since my engagement now fiancée cannot stop admiring her custom ring. To say she is proud to wear this ring would be an understatement. I couldnt have asked for a better team to work with than the Michael Herr team.I will for sure be sending all of my friends to Michael when they are ready to propose. Had two rings repaired in 2018. Didnt buy anything, so cannot speak to quality of merchandise or knowledge. Staff was friendly. Reason for low rating is because one ring had to be re-repaired immediately (first attempt was badly done). Now, less than two years later, the other ring has to be repaired again. Also, I was very disappointed at how thin the gold was.A year later, the first ring needed to be resized again. I decided to try a different jeweler, and was very impressed with his work and the thickness of the gold. The price was the same as Michael Herrs service.I dont know if Michael Herrs is using the same goldsmith now, but I cannot help but wonder if that goldsmith was a novice and/or skimping on the gold. Will not visit this store again.

Amazing guy to work with. My current fiancées family has been going here for years for multiple generations of rings. He was able to work with me remotely as I was in a different state and the ring turned out to be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen - my fiancée. I will be going back for wedding bands as well.

Mike Herr was FANTASTIC. He nailed everything that I wanted in a ring and was able to do so at a very reasonable price. The experience was not pushy at all and he had a great selection for what I needed.Mike was my first stop when shopping for an engagement ring and I brought a friend with me who has experience in buying an engagement ring. As we were leaving, my friend turned to me and said that I would come back. When I asked why, he just said youll see. After shopping around, I definitely see: Mike was the most friendly, lease pushy, and even had the best prices. I cannot wait to return to Mike to buy our wedding bands.

Didnt harp me about insurance $ (like other stores) , in fact gave advise on how to insure for the future. They educated me, showed me different options, no pressure. I got my ring back today and it is beautiful! I will never have to look for another jeweler, they have a customer for life. My husband had a ring and a necklace made for me at Michael Herrs. The workmanship is without the a doubt the finest I have ever seen. It rivals any of the rings we looked at in Paris. The necklace stones are perfectly matched, the craftmanship beyond compare. To have such a fine jeweler in this area is unbelievable. The staff at this establishment is professional and helpful. I purchased my wifes engagement ring from Michael Herr and I will never regret that decision. I searched all around the big jewelry chains in St. Louis once I decided to buy an engagement ring. None of them gave me the time of day and great customer service I received with Michael. Michael spent time going through all of his diamonds and bands to find exactly what I was looking for in my budget and did not try to pressure me to commit to the sale. This was not the case in any of the other stores I visited. Michael understood that this is a big decision and went through his rings with passion. All the other places did not really give me the attention because they knew I was doing my homework and they were not getting the get the sale that day. I bought both my engagement ring and wedding band from Michael Herr and plan to purchase from him in the future. My wife still stops in from time to time to get her ring cleaned and gets the same attention even though she is not buying anything. He is a great Jeweler and I recommend him for any jewelry purchases.

I could not recommend Michael Herr more! I got engaged on 12/23/16 then my fiancé let me know that at 9am the next day (Saturday, Christmas Eve morning) we were going to see Michael personally to get my ring sized. We showed up and were greeted with congratulatory hugs and celebratory mimosas! Talk about feeling like a princess! We waited about 20-30 minutes while they sized my ring. During this time we discussed with Michael the process my fiancé went through in picking out my ring (which is so PERFECT - and my fiancé couldnt have felt more comfortable working with Michael), and shared our engagement story with him.
