Very unpleasant employee, went twice to cash a money order & without even looking in her cash drawer with attitude she told me I told u before we had enough business in the day for that amount of cash,meanwhile I was in a full line for 15 minutes ,with people dropping of packages & paying! I will never recommend this postal service or step a foot in it!!! Poor customer service very disappointed

Consistently experiencing discriminatory service from a tenured representative at this location. The worst part is speaking with the manager today was extremely condescending. I had to type and email a formal complaint because of the obvious lack of customer service from this 1 particular employee. Amidst a global pandemic the last thing anyone needs is added negativity.

Consistently receive wrong mail. Packages arrive torn open. Letters arrive sealed back together with tape. Our mail gets delivered to the neighbors. Received wedding photos today and the package clearly stated PHOTOS DO NOT BEND. Mail carrier curled up photos, bent photo package, and stuffed it in our mailbox. I cant even. USPS you broke my heart and ruined my parents Christmas gift.

I agree with most the reviews. I can’t believe this place is still operating. Absolutely horrible customer service. It’s none existing!! They misinform you and act as you are the problem . Wow!! This place has got to be shut down. I’m just going to drive to the Hamden location. This location staff is just unprofessional!!

Worst post office ever. The employees there are so slow, and seem to all go on breaks together when there is a line wrapped around the building. If I were this slow at my job, I wouldnt have one anymore.

This might be the worst United States post office in the country. I hope you like waiting in line and getting misinformation. More so I hope you have the patience of a saint because thats what youre going to need before you walk into this establishment.

Always a 30 minute wait and the workers are rude. They also need to update their hours on the door due to the virus they’re not correct

In person the service was helpful, but when requesting a pickup from my apartment (which was for my side business and NEEDED to go out on time), I sent in requests two days in a row only to find that the mailman hadnt picked it up. This isnt the first time this has happened, so now I just ship things from work because I cant rely on the post office in my own town.

There needs to be a 0 star option. Small, cramped, dirty. Slowest post office around. Not sure what goes on at this post office that takes so long for the employees to do things at the counter vs. other post offices. I do everything i can to avoid this one. Yalesville is so much nicer and the staff is friendlier (and dare i say better at their jobs).

Went to pick up a package that my son was desperate to get that tracking info said had arrived that afternoon at the post office. Manager was nice enough to try to locate said item but not sorted through yet. Manager took my name and number down and called me (after hours) to come retrieve my item when it was found later that night. Stayed and waited for me to pick up. Kudos to manager Jarred! Great customer service and definitely went the extra mile for me!

I cant tell you how many times my mail carrier delivered valuable paid packages to the wrong address and I never received them. I constantly receive other peoples mail. There are only 5 people that live on my dead end street. Somebody is enjoying my jewelry. I lived in Cheshire for 35 years and this post office is slow and mail service horrific. I dont know how to correct the situation. I have filed complaints before with the feds. But it went back to sloppy mail services. Even checks got lost, years ago X-mas gifts I was awaiting for and not delivered were found in back of the post office. This has been going on for years. Dont know why the problem is never fixed. Maybe someone needs to seriously look into this or post master retire.

This post office is extremely bad. They are loosing packages, delivering other people packages to your mail box, not responding to the phone messages left regarding the tracking numbers. Post office master is a joke! This lady (now it is a women) is never available! I guess they just dont care at all. SHAME ON THEM! United State Post OFFICE!

Worst customer service of all time. would avoid at all costs

I will never use this post office again. I will drive down to Hamden the next time I need to mail a package. The person who handled my package was rude. They overcharged me; I thought there was a flat rate for packages, but he charged me double the price. When I questioned it, he just said the price is based on the weight and where its going. I send a similar package from Hamden a few weeks ago and it was less than half the price. And there is NEVER any packaging supplies. You can hardly even stand on line in the building.

Walked in to get passport services, and saw a sign no passport services. called in on friday and same message. they say they are short staffed and cant do it !

Years later, I still have issues. Now theyre delivering my packages to a different street with the same number... disappointingHad a package that was supposed to come on Monday, it was a birthday present for my girlfriend. Postman put the package in the wrong mail box but put a magazine with my correct address in the right mail box. After an aggravating experience on the phone he calls me and basically tells me too bad wait till tomorrow. Next day comes he literally crams my package in the tiny mailbox along with other mail he must have been leaving in the wrong mail box...needless to say the packaging was destroyed, the present barely made it, and half of the mail was ripped to shreds from him stuffing everything in at once. Not a good experience to say the least.

I have to go to nearby towns to ship my packages. Service in Cheshire is always slow and unreliable. They dont even read the rulles on shipping packages and make you fill up unnecessary forms when you have prepaid labels. Our mail carrier is very good though. We can see the difference when he is on vacation. I would give him 5 stars for the work he does.

No stars since I am here at 8:07 am past open time and I hear them in the back. Not even open yet. Extremely not on time on the open and closing time.

I have a sinus infection right now, so I know I don’t sound very good, but the woman at the counter had me repeat my brothers name twice, and then after not understanding My address, she made me write them both down. She was looking and talking at me like I was stupid. Anyway, I stood at the side for a couple minutes before she came back out and told me the Mail was sent out as it wasn’t there. I told her that’s shitty cause my brother called them and requested they hold it at the post office, and the woman on the phone said she would do so. So not only did you lie to a customer, but you made a sick customer come to your establishment, just to be sent back home to wait for the mail man to come to the door.We always have problems with this post office. It has a 2 star rating on google. After my rating it’ll go down. I don’t know why, after so many complaints, nothing has been done to make the post office a better place.
