I got a flat tire in the morning at around 11:00am and needed to be at work by 1pm and I only had a donut. I called all around and Monro was the only place that was able to take me in right away. I got there and was out the door on my way to work within twenty minutes with a brand new, fair-priced tire. I am so grateful for them and would recommended them to anyone in a crunch!

So I needed a full synthetic oil change. I also had a wheel speed sensor that needed replacing. I was on a time crunch AND a budget. I dealt with TJ. he was nothing short of EXCELLENT through the entire process!! He worked with me on pricing by finding ways to save me money, he kept me in the loop as to what was wrong with my car as well as offering adequate fixes, he didnt try to run up my bill, and my car has never been better! I will be a customer with these guys from now on! 5/5 highly reccomend!!

This is an outstanding place to have your car serviced. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and they go out of your way to assist you. They do not hesitate to help you out when something unexpected happens to your car, which of course always does.Today, I was driving home and my dashboard began to tell me that my tire pressure was going down in one tire. I immediately got off the highway and drove straight to Monro. I explained the situation and asked if they could look at it tomorrow.The service is so outstanding, they came out immediately and looked at my tire, found a nail, and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. I expected to drop it off and have them work on it tomorrow. But as a I said, they always go above and beyond to help our customers.I highly recommend Monro Auto Service to everyone. These guys are awesome; they truly back up their work. I had purchased 2 tires from them on Saturday June 26. Then a week later, on the holiday July 5th, I go to head out & one of those new tires was flat! My compressor wouldnt inflate it! Im single & one son was out of reach the other up at UCONN, Storrs, so I called Munro & asked if they could help me out. Due to the holiday, there was only 2 of them working & they still managed to come get my tire (my stem had been old/damaged & caused the flat).I live only about a mile from their location but they were under no obligation to do that. They came & took the flat off my car then brought the tire back to me, all repaired, replaced it & I was good to go. Thanks for the excellent customer service!

These guys are great! Ive been using them for years now for oil changes, tires and alignments and have always been pleased with the service. BUT this time....They went above an beyond anything I would have imagined.I was in a pinch, big time. I travel for work and noticed I had a bad tire and there was no way I was driving 500 miles on it. Luckily my wife had nothing going on that day and i was able to take her car. While I was at the customer I ran over a large piece of sheet metal which got wedged in the tire. I was able to make it home but the tire wouldnt hold air for more than an hour. My wife and I both had appointments we needed get to on Monday morning and neither of our cars were drive-able at this point. I called Monroe ON A SUNDAY and let Mike know I was in a real bind. Unfortunately he didnt have a tire for my wifes but he said to get my car down and he would see what he could do. Mike had a skeleton crew being Sunday and they were pretty busy. He let me know he would do his best to at least get the one bad tire taken care of so I could make my appt the following day. Within an hour I got a call saying my car was all set and to come grab it. To my surprise he had all 4 tires mounted and balanced and my car was ready to go! ON A SUNDAY AT LIKE 4pm....All I could do say say thank you....Seriously these guys went over and above what they needed to do to help me out. They could have very easily said sorry cant do it till tomorrow but they didnt. The Manager and crew are top notch and i will continue to use them for anything i need, and they really do take pride in their work....Thanks again Gentlemen!!!!

Very Disappointing! I called for an oil change, a brake inspection for a squeal and rear suspension noise to be diagnosed. I figured these would be simple to find since it happens so frequently. I got a call saying my oil change was ready & it was time to pick up the car and that they couldnt reenact the noise from the suspension with the test drive and going over several bumps, which was shocking to hear from him. I asked about the brakes and the manager, Mike, stated he forgot to put that in the inspection notes. (They shouldve heard the squeal backing out of the parking spot and the brakes are supposed to be inspected when the oil change is performed!) I gave him another hour and a half, which was all the time my ride had, to inspect the brakes to which he agreed would get done. I arrive at that time to ask about the brakes again. Mike was once again, unaware! He then went to ask the tech to come back and tell me that the tech heard from the original tech that looked at my car, that the brakes were fine, so he didnt further inspect. Mike realized there was poor communication and apologized again. After driving away disappointed that they did not diagnose my problems properly, I returned to my office to then discover hand prints on my leather seats and glove compartment. In addition to that, a large boot print on my rear back door jamb, apparently from them trying to diagnose the suspension issue, by bouncing on my car! No wonder they couldnt diagnose it! I wouldnt recommend anyone go to Monro!!! Time to shape up a bit and get your acts together!

I am visiting in town, and one of my brake lights went out so I made an appointment with this Auto Shop. They were very friendly on the phone, I even called and ask if I could add an oil change morning of (they had a $20 special) and they were very accommodating. They did everything quickly and efficiently, and were very friendly at the desk. My only qualm would be none of the employees I saw wore masks, so make sure you have one and practice 6-ft. I would definitely go back if I had a problem with my car in the future, they were very easy to get to.

They fixed my tire for free! I had a small screw stuck in my back right tire, dropped it off and it was ready to go within 45 minutes. They filled up my tire to the correct pressure and didnt charge me :) thanks guys

Cheshire Monroe is great. I have had issues with my tires (not bought here) for months. I would be in once a week. And every time I stopped in they were happy to help. They were never pushy about services etc. Would highly recommend using them. I stopped in to make an appointment for an oil change they were able to do it immediately. Staff is great!

Brought in my 2015 Mercedes for a parking brake issue as the GM, Mike, is a Mercedes guy and has worked on other family cars. He originally diagnoses the issue as possibly 1 of 2 things, ordered both parts and explained the cost of each. Very knowledgeable and friendly when walking me through.He quickly realized it was not what he initially thought and admitted the best thing was for me was to bring it to the dealership to have their computer system diagnoses it. My tire was leaking air, Monro fit me in within 3 hours, they found the nail in my tired and plugged it. Best part was that they did not charge me! They even wiped the inside of my vehicle down with Clorox wipes before handing me the keys! A++ service, I highly recommend!

Came in for a brake job and it turned out to be more expensive than I originally thought. The manager was very kind and professional looking to get me back on the road that same day but also to make sure my car was safe. He also made sure to help me keep it reletively cheaper than originally projected by helping me search for as man coupons as possible to bring price down. These guys are where you wanna go to when youre in a jam with your car.

After having great service work dealing with Mike, I was very pleased. Today, my dash lights indicated the air pressure was low in one tire. I stopped in thinking it would be a simple thing to have checked. There was a young man outside washing a Monro truck. After ignoring me , I pulled closer and ask if he could check the air pressure for me. He asked me to give him a minute. He then finished rinsing the truck, got in and drove it around the lot before parking. I left while he was still in the truck.What happened to customer service? Was I wrong in thinking my problem was more important the his truck? This was minor, but indicated to me that customer service was not high on his list. I am due for an oil change, but reluctant to use Monro.

As my luck would have it my tire pressure light went on while I was driving into work and of course I freaked out 🙄 as I have a newer car. I stopped here and Jesse the assistant manager was on duty, he inspected my tires and found a nail, plugged it and also put air in my tire without charge. I went to see him the next day for the same issue with the tire pressure light and again Jesse was on duty he inspected all 4 of my tires on the lift and checked the tire pressure, problem solved since. Jesse was very friendly, polite and professional I also met the store manager who was also very polite and professional. Of course as a woman it’s hard to find places that don’t see us coming and going. Thank you it’s much appreciated, would definitely recommend this location and will be going back in the future!

Had an oil change on my wifes 2010 VW Beetler this morning. Had scheduled an appointment last night for 9:30am this morning. i arrived 15 minutes early. Was greeted promptly. They took my car in right a way. The customer service was superb from the gentlemen at the desk to the tech performing the work on the car. This was my first experience with Monro of Cheshire and definitely wont be my last. I have already scheduled my 2007 Hyundai for an oil change this week. Love the fact you can get an appointment and service on a Sunday!! Great experience!!

Went in with a few issues and a lot of questions. I let with no issues and the answers I needed. Mike the manager was great every step of the way and his Techs were professional and quick. Even though I can do most of my own car work Ill be returning here more often.

I was taken advantage of somewhere else when I was in need of a tire mounted and put on n balanced. Long story short they said they balanced it and when I got on the highway I had to get off because they indeed did not balance the tire and my car was shaking and vibrating badly going past 50MPH. Mike is my bosses go to car guy so he called him for me and set up and appointment for that same day on my lunch break. I took it there was treated very well and taken care of right away. In and our very quickly. I will definitely be going back with any of my car troubles in the future. Thanks Mike!!!

This place is amazing!! Not only do they do great work, but they are friendly, helpful, and have the customer’s best interest. My driver side headlight was burnt out and they fit me in with such short notice (I called the day of and they kindly made room and time for me). Very disappointed and poorest services ever. After the last service in this local Monro garage about five years ago, I drove in my car 10 days ago and hope the new ownership could improve its recorded poor service. I dropped off my Toyota Sienna in the morning for oil change and tire rotation. Everything seemed so smooth after the manager, Mike called me that everything was OK and my car was ready for pickup. On the way back home after work, I picked up my van and the dashboard light for Tire pressure warning was immediately on after only driving 1.2 miles. I immediately drove back to the garage. Mike tested my van for a small circle around the corner (less than 0.2 miles) and showed me the light was off and insisted that nothing was wrong with my car and their job was perfect. However, he suggested that the tire pressure sensors could be broken and $150 for each sensor would be charged if I would like to fix them. I declined it immediately. It was not surprised to see the light coming back after another 1.2 miles away from their store. Later, I checked the tire pressure in our local gas station (2.4 miles away from Monro) and found one tire pressure was lower than other three (31 psi vs 32, 32 and 32 psi). After re-balancing all tire pressure, the light went off and stays off so far. Furthermore, they charged me $115.63 for oil change and tire rotation, but I paid only $67 on my Toyota Camry for oil change and tire rotation today in a nearby Toyota dealer (Wallingford, CT) although the engine oil types were different (about $10 different). Based on my current and previous experience, my suggestion is please avoid to have service in Cheshire Monro unless you really trust Mike for whatever he and his staff can do with your car. Overall , Cheshire Monro is dishonest, unprofessional and overpriced.

I have a company car and have been to MANY repair and oil changing businesses in CT and NY. Mike at the front desk went above and beyond to help me with a minor repair (windshield wipers). Also, it was just before closing time for him. Because of Mike, I will bypass the 15 repair shops near my house and visit Mike and Monroe EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. If I could give a 10 star review.... I would.

Mike is the best. Friendly, patient, and no bs. This is the place for auto care. Mike and the guys know what theyre doing better than most Ive found. This is the only place I go for car work, and I live 30 mins away.

I am extremely greatful to the staff and manager/owner of Monro at South Main street in Cheshire, not once, but twice. I am from Old Saybrook, and on one of my visits to see my grandchildren this past spring, my emergncy light went on indicating I was out of oil. I called Monroe on emergency and although they had a high volume of clients that day, they took me in immediately.Last week, I found myself in another emergency situation in Cheshire. This time, I had decided to buy an ice cream cone on South Main Street and upon leaving drove my car down what I thought was a steep driveway, however, it ended up being a ditch and I was unable to get out. I did not have my AAA card with me and all attempts to reach someone by phone for help failed. Across the street from the ice cream shop was Monro.I walked over and asked the staff if there was any chance someone coud help. The manager/owner was notified and with no questions asked got his truck and brought me back to my vechicle where he skillfully towed my car out of the ditch. When I asked him how much I owed him for his service he said there was no charge. When I offered a tip, he graciously declined. I am very grateful to Monro not only for theirautomotive skills but especially for the unconditional kindness that was given to me. It turned what could have been a very difficult day for me to feeling blessed. Thank you.

I went to Monro to fix my check engine issue, the guys diagnosed the problem right away, while other shops were telling me to replace all of my o2 sensors for over $500, Monro realized the problem was much less than that. At the end of the day I only pad $200 and the car is back at full strength. I would recommend this shop to everybody out there.
