Thompson Creek Window Company has been around over 30 years and have build a reputation of quality and service and now I can definitely see why! We signed up for a gutter estimate with this company and met with Guy and Amar for our free estimate. They were very courteous and respectful. They took their time to walk around the property, walk us through the estimate and answer our questions. They even gave us time to talk amongst ourselves to make sure we felt comfortable moving forward. I did not feel rush or forced into signing the contract. Their prices were very reasonable and I feel the quality of their product and presentation overall won us over. I look forward to working with this company as we move forward and in possible future projects as well.

9/29/21: In the space of just a couple of hours, Neil arrived CDC compliant and ready to check out our current windows and measure for new ones. He was patient with our questions taking the time to provide visuals and even answer a couple of repeat questions. He had an awesome window sample in his car that truly was the catalyst in our decision to make the purchase. We are looking forward to having our new windows in just a couple of months.

I am trying to get a screen door replaced (outside) that was just installed in February. I am a teacher so my work hours dont end until 3 and I explained that when I called. I just got a call about an appointment tomorrow afternoon and was told if I cant be there from 12-4 they cannot come. The person I talked to initially said they would work with me since there is no other adult that can be at the house but the person today was not as kind. She said that shed try to get a Saturday appointment but there was not guarantee that it would happen. My screen is completely ripped and needs to be replaced. I am super disappointed so far.

I was in the market for some new storm doors. Neil came to my house to provide an education and show me the various options. He was incredibly helpful & even came back several days later when I changed my mind on the design. Gary was awesome too when he came to measure. They and the company are great about keeping you up-to-date on the progress and very professional. Everything should be installed in about 6 weeks and I am sure Ill be just as happy with that! I will definitely call Neil at Thompson Creek for my next home improvement project!

Rachel was absolutely amazing. She wasn’t a pushy salesperson, she didn’t have to be, her product sold itself. She made us feel comfortable and went over the quality of windows that Thompson Creek offers. My husband and I took advantage of the monthly payment plan that Brian approved. I love that any issues will be taken care of in house. I don’t have to call 57252748 different people to solve an issue (not that I foresee anything happening) but it is great to know it’s a one shop stop. The warranty that this company offers are unbeatable. Our windows will be installed in September, perfect timing to have the new windows open in Va Beach.

My experience with Neil was exceptional, He took his time in explaining everything in detail and made sure that we knew exactly what he was explaining to us about the windows and door. Neil is a great salesperson and very courteous and polite. I recommend talking to Neil if you need windows replaced.

The only part of the purchasing/installation experience I did not like was the sales pitch. I was already familiar with the product so really I only needed to make sure the price was in my expected range.They said to set aside an hour for the person to go over their product, measure, and give me a price. It took 2 hours, almost the typical car-buying experience of making you wait so long youll do anything to end it and just say yes. And of course, they give the various quotes so you think youre getting a great deal and you immediately agree. My wife and I had already discussed what we thought the cost should be, and what we were okay paying, and when the quote was in the range, we accepted it. The whole thing could have taken 15 minutes but he dragged it out.The installation itself, however, was a great experience. A small team showed up, put out drop cloths, covered furniture and other things, and began cutting out the windows. They were very efficient, very respectful of our house, and did a great job of keeping things clean and organized. They cleaned up after they were done and I only found a couple of random debris in my mulch beds after they left.The new windows look great, and the trim/caulking on the outside looks great, professional, and better than I expected was possible. Overall, Im very happy with the outcome and wish I hadnt waited so long to replace my old windows.

My family had a wonderful experience with Thompson Creek. We got new windows and gutters for the entire home and are extremely impressed with the quality of products we received. We did a TON of research and had many other companies come out before Thompson Creek, but there really is no one out there that compares to the value we got for our money. They made their own windows and gutters to custom fit in our home and the warranty is awesome. Overall very happy with the service throughout the entire process. Thank you!!!

My experience with Neil W was exceptional. Although at this time I did not move forward with the service offered, Neil was patient, professional, on time, informative and honest. The only reason I did not move today was because I need to prioritize my projects and get a timeline going as to when I will make the necessary improvements that I am going to make. When I am ready Thompson creek will be my go to for service. Im looking forward to doing business with them in the future.

Update: I got my windows installed last week and absolutely love them! They are everything they said they would be. Installation took most of the day for 10 windows. There were two guys working the whole project and they did an awesome job! I’m so glad I went with this company!Erin was professional and explained who Thompson Creek is, how long they’ve been in business and how they do business.She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions.I was very impressed with the quality and warranty they offer. It is what sold me on going with this company.I look forward to having Thompson Creek install my windows!

Buyer beware! I decided to replace my gutters with newer products that would serve me better. I went with Thompson Creek and the salesman came to my house in July to provide the information. The price was a little higher than what I was expecting but the guarantee was good. The contract was signed and the financing was approved on Aug 3rd. Afterwards the company contacted me to set up a pre-construction date on Aug 12th. All the measurements were done.theybset a date for 13-14 September to replace the gutters. I found it hard to belive i had to wait almost 30 days for thr install. In-between that time they delivered the materials for the project. On the 13th the install team arrived. They took down the old gutters and discovered that the company did not deliver the screws and gutter guards in the original delivery. The team left saying they would return on the 14th. They never came back. They di not return my calls.i contacted the project coordinator and she told me they had equipment issue. The next scheduled date would not be until 27 sept. So I have no gutters on my house, the old gutters sitting on my property and two days of rain kept calling the company to get a faster date but nothing. Then on the 27th the company canceled agai due to other reasons. So I still have no gutters, debris around my property and no new date. I canceled the entire project and told Thompson to remove all materials from thr property. This company proved to be sorry at best. I recommend going with a a local company. Also I filed a BBB complaint. It should not take over 40 days to replace gutters. Do not use them for anything.

The sales representative Guy came out on time. He was very courteous and professional and made every attempt to get me a price as close as he could to the other 2 competitors. I like their product very much. Really responsible in financing as well if you need it.

Aaron and Sity were great with the salesmanship. Explained everything to me. Prior to them talking to me about your product I had decided to get two other quotes, but they convinced me right off that you’re the company that I should use. Haven’t had them installed yet but I am looking forward to it.

We worked with Neil, he was very professional and patient. Was not at all pushy or high pressure. We love the look of the gutters and went from the old 4 to new 6. Highly recommend. Like that they are a family owned company.

Had a great experience with this company. The sales rep was very friendly and knowledgable and didnt make us feel like we were negotiating for price. The installation crew arrived on time, did a great job and were also very friendly.The best part is that the windows and patio doors are amazing! Our whole house feels more insulated, its so much quieter and we can actually keep our young toddlers from opening the patio doors now (they have an extra security foot lock that the boys havent figured out yet).

This company from sales to installation is excellent. They have very competitive prices for high quality product. Their warranty on all of their materials/installation outdoes the rest as well. Could not have been happier with my decision.

The crew that did the installation was very professional, polite and did an excellent job!!!They were on time and took care not to damage anything and made sure all the debris was cleaned up when the job was completed.The quality of the entrance door, storm door and windows are excellent, everything was measured correctly and fit the space perfectly!

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Sity and Neil yesterday in my Chesapeake home. They were extremely friendly and very transparent in what could be done and what they were unable to accomplish. I also enjoyed chatting with them on the side and how they interacted with my children and my dog. I had previously had windows installed through Thompson Creek last year and was ready to begin replacing other windows. They are so good at their job and presented such appealing options that I opted into replacing all of my windows instead of just doing sections. I couldnt beat the offer and was sold immediately.The previous installation went smooth and the installers did a fantastic job. They were very quick and efficient. I very much look forward to the new windows throughout the rest of my house. After that is complete I plan to use their services again to replace gutters and doors. Great experience with Thompson Creek installing two sliding glass doors. I knew their product was top notch, and was surprised with how competitive their pricing was after getting a few quotes. The installation was quick, clean, and professional. Two screws were initially missing from the materials but a supervisor showed up within the hour and finished up the job personally.

This is our second time using Thompson Creek for window replacement and custom windows. Both times we have used them, they exceeded our expectations. It wasn’t in our budget to replace all 23 of our windows at once. At first we replaced the windows in the front of our house and on the side that is most visible from the street. Some of the existing wood around the windows was starting to show its age and they replaced the damaged wood at the same time. From our first phone call to set up our free quote to the install date, every Thompson Creek employee was friendly, helpful, prompt, and just a pleasure to work with. They answered ALL of our questions and helped us choose the best windows for our style of house and our budget. We love our new windows and are excited to get our next set installed. They offer choices for payment with different financing offers that were super easy to apply for. Our most recent appointment was with Neil and Sity. They are both extremely helpful, professional, and exceeded our expectations as well.

Guy came out to give us an estimate and he was fantastic. They have a great product and the visit was quick, all our questions were answered, and he did fantastic.

A-MAZ-ING! I’m a first time home buyer and based on the inspect only before closing, I needed windows and doors replaced. I really appreciate Erin, she’s super friendly and professional. Her presentation was very thorough. She explained the product, process, and prospective budget based on what I need as well as what I want. Excited for the precom and install.

Neil came to our home on time. He gave a very professional and thorough presentation on Thompson Creeks windows. There was no high pressured sales pitch and worked within our budget. They have a great product and have contracted to have all the windows in our home replaced.

We had our initial consultation and estimate tonight done by Jalynn. She was punctual and very professional. She gave us a lot of info and we asked lots of questions before we signed the contract, so altogether it took almost 3 hours. I wish she had been able to give us a copy of the quote itself including the work to be done. We were told the project can be scheduled about 7-8 weeks out (much sooner than another major window company in the area), so I will update my review after the job is complete.

Thompson Creek is a solid company. I know the rating may say otherwise. We had a sliding glass door installed and the team sent out was was timely and they got the job done. It was the finishing touches that really made the final product not appealing at all. The sliding glass door components are nice and the 50 year warranty on parts and labor is fantastic however, the installers when ripping out the old door got carried away. When they tried to correct the cosmetic aspects they messed up from removal, they could not fix and just left it at that is not their job. Was not happy with that response. Responded to Ricks email twice about dissatisfaction and I am still waiting to hear back from him. Compared to other companies out in the DMV, I would still recommend them. Just make sure your expectations are managed.

Sloppy installation of the door. The caulking and moulding was sloppy. Outside door moulding was cut and and not repaired. Inside caulking was sloppy. It took 15 minutes plus of pounding to get the door installed and that couldnt be good for the door. The doors are very pretty but the door has a small scratch and no idea if it can be fixed. The crew didnt arrive until 3:00 pm on a Friday to install the 2 doors. We told the crew we werent happy with the above but they didnt know how to respond.

It all started back in February when I reached out to Thompson Creek to get 2 windows replaced on my home. I should’ve known from the first reschedule how my experience would go. It is now the end of May and 5 visits later they’re still not complete. Our salesman, Ro was very attentive and knowledgeable, our lead project manager Alex has been very helpful, responsive and attentive despite the discrepancies out of her control and our new manager Shannon has been very responsive and helpful as well, despite just being put on the job. Prior to, we had Ana who was less than attentive, and full of excuses. The on site project manager, Gary is unprofessional to say the least. Now here we are with a half done project and Thompson Creek yet again wants to reschedule for the following week meanwhile I have no privacy with curtains being taken down and my office is unusable until the project is completed which was “supposed” to be a one day job. I really hate that this is the review I am leaving, as I had high expectations for the service this company would provide. The quality of the windows on the other hand is fantastic, but I would never buy them again with what a hassle it has been to work with this company.

Excellent work done - I had all my windows replaced and changed one group of windows to include a picture window, which I love! Everyone, from the salesman to the installers were professional and hardworking.

Called for an estimate for siding of a detached garage and was informed that that could not be done -- if the garage was attached and included with the house that (presumably) would have been acceptable. Garage too small a job - size requirements should be noted in advertising frequently stuffed in mail.

This business refused to do business with me. They are the only company in Virginia that I found so far that makes custom garden windows, but since I live outside the service area, they refused to even sell me the window for me to pick it up to have it installed by my contractor. Even though I said I would wave the 50yr warranty. Are you in the window selling business or not!? Seems they only want to do the work so they can over charge for labor that you dont need. Folks, not sure what you are paying for this service, but if they are charging more than about $200 for a regular window and about $50 to install, its over priced.

Our experience with Thompson Creek from the start was fantastic! From the Customer Service when calling to plan/schedule our first appointment, to our appointment with Erin, our Sales Representative, to dispatch staying in touch on the date of install, to the quality of the workmanship, and even beyond to the follow-up after it ALL is what has left a lasting impression on us as first-time Thompson Creek customers. Erin and Sity came to my house exactly on time for a consultation on gutters. They listened to our concerns + what was important qualities for us in a product and company. They clearly addressed all our questions, concerns, and issues. They were both personable and even during the parts where scripted information needed to be reviewed, they didn’t present it in an off-putting way. (They’re also dog friendly) We had gotten quotes from 2 other gutter companies including “Leaf Guard” before Thompson Creek. My dad has had Thompson Creek gutters for over 10 years and when he had an issue recently they came out and fixed it no charge and no push-back. My husband and I are very skeptical when it comes to hiring anyone for home projects and I will update my review after installation BUT, my experience withThompsonn Creek and (especially) Sity and Erin has been great.

We went with Thompson Creek for our windows and sliding doors after getting several estimates. Although they weren’t the least expensive they are by far the best quality. You get what you pay for. We were impressed by the availability, open communication, and follow through from our Thompson Creek representative Nick. We have had our windows/doors for several months now and are seeing savings on our electric bills. We would definitely recommend Thompson Creek.

The 2 hours sales pitch was great except it was 2 HOURS. Even better was the 28K quote for 16 windows they sent after the sales guy told me it was going to be around 16K. Complete waste of time.

Hmmm...Where do I begin....Well the headache started after the Sales guy came out and measured and priced out our windows and Door. Then Circus land happened!! The contract was initially signed in may, they didnt come out and install anything till AUGUST!! Why you may ask? Well for starters No one here calls you, you have to call them just letting you know. So I did..over and over and over again because they disappear , then when you finally get in contact with a project manager you start to feel good, BUT wait now they date he schedules you gets reschedules, then again, and again, to the point you call him back to figure out whats going on and BOOM it hits you, the guy you initially talked to got fired.....why am i not surprised. So now someone else is taking over, the workers that came out were also confused, kept asking me what goes where, are we fixing this or that? Like dont yall get notes BEFORE you come out? Between the rescheduling, stress, time off work I had to take because of this, the compensation for all my time wasted was what...$500 off at 7,000 price? Because no one down here has any pull. Thats it? Ridiculous, I lost money from work, that I now have to still pay them....how ironic. This company is terrible. I felt bad for calling the first guy (Sales Rep) that came out and started this whole process...but he was the only one that answered the phone and kept apologizing, and was trying to fix all this. Oh and how bout this, he ended up quitting the company because of all the disappointed customers like ME that kept having to call him to ask what was going on!!! He did his job right, in my opinion the company failed him and customers like me. They play point the finger at the next guy, or the last person, when you finally have give them an attitude. Oh and that credit that they pull its not soft like they tell you...you guest it, its a hard one....If this was there attempt on spreading from Maryland to Virginia Beach, they need to go back there because reading those reviews in Maryland....sounds just like mine. People stay away. You have been warned. I will not recommend this company to no one

Installers were over an hour late and completely unprofessional. Our installation start window was between 12 and 2 last Thursday. They arrived at 3:30 which they said was because they had to fix the mess up at the job before us, but never called to let us know and didnt leave until after 7:30 PM on a school night after the project manager promised that it wouldnt even take that long. 3 windows currently dont work properly, cracks in the drywall that they never fixed in multiple rooms, tiles in the window sill are lifting up, some air bubbles in the caulking around the window. Never had the project manager do a walk through inspection after, which was promised before. Currently being told that they will try to fit us in to look at the damage and broken windows that dont properly lock in almost 2 weeks. The product and service is not worth the money at all. Also actually getting a response from anyone is near impossible unless you dedicate all your time to calling.

Go somewhere else, I wish I had read the comments for the entire company not just the Chesapeake office. Sales guy talked a big game but once I signed the contract its been downhill with a lack of communication. They over booked my install, I was slated for the week of July 15th and windows are still not complete. Worst part is no one reached out to me or communicated I had to call them for an update. I will say they did tell me numerous times how sorry they are but have done zero about finishing the job. As an active duty widow I feel very taken advantage of!!
