This is the type of experience your mechanics have? Using duck tape to hold the car together? And then lie about it saying it was already there? Not to mention the new screeching noise when I drive. I guess your test drivers wear earplugs while they drive. Embarrassing.

Very nice people. Went in for alignment and got started right away. Unfortunately car was pulling so I had to go back next day. They took my car in right away and took care of the issue. I wouldve give it a solid 5 star if I didnt have to go back. I will definitely recommend them over other places.

I called to see if they had any availability for a state inspection. The gentleman on the phone gave me a reasonable estimate of the time for a walk-in inspection. Kenneth performed the state inspection. He was friendly and reviewed his findings with me. I highly recommend Dillingers. We have brought our cars in for maintenance and inspections for years. Driving home from work I had an incident that resulted in my vehicle sounding like ten Harley Davidsons roaring. Went straight to Dillinger’s, dropped off my vehicle and by 6:30PM a service technician called to explain the result of the diagnosis. This was Thursday. I was told that Monday was the earliest I would get back my vehicle. However, by Friday afternoon they called to let me know that my vehicle was ready. They are very busy over there and they get the job done right. I would recommend Dillinger’s to friends, family and everybody.

Came in for a state inspection. There was a comfortable lounge with plenty of coffee, soda, and water inside as well as multiple chairs outside to sit and enjoy the nice morning. The wait was less than I expected, the service was professional, and everything was clean. I plan to return in the future when I need service on my vehicle.

I needed a VA state inspection. Dellinger’s allowed me to drop off my vehicle the night before so I would be on the list first thing in the morning. They called me by 10am the next day letting me know my vehicle was ready to be picked up. Efficient, courteous, professional service! I very much appreciate the convenience of being able to drop off my vehicle as opposed to waiting hours in a line. Thank you!

These gentlemen were beyond phenomenal. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. I explained my issue and my problem was diagnosed at the service desk. The car was taken to the back and placed on the lift where the diagnosis was confirmed. I gave the ok to do the work and my car came back to me in great shape with no problems. Its hard to find professionals mixed with quality workmanship these days. Thanks gentlemen, yoh have yourselves a customer!!!

This will be my new go to place for car needs. Unfortunately got some bad news regarding my car and the wheel alignment but feel confident bringing it back here to address the unforseen issue (the issue had nothing to do with work they preformed but with the car itself). The customer service was top notch as well. I have never felt so good about an auto shop until I discovered here.

Had our 2013 small AWD SUV hatchback car yearly state inspection done. Took the car in on Saturday afternoon, their place was very busy and parking was tight as usual. Counter guy said maybe done on Sunday, probably Monday due to the Monday holiday. Got call around Sunday noon that car was ready for pickup. Luckily there were no problems since we get all of our car and 1999 full size 4WD pickup truck maintenance and repairs done there over the 23 years we have been taking our vehicles to them. While driving my wife there to pickup her car I noticed my brake pedal was a little low. Guess it’s time to have the brakes maintained there again. BTW, work done there costs less than at a dealers’ shop. We’ve tried a few times and when away from the area.

Ive been been three times. First time, I went to get new rotors and the experience was pleasant and done in a timely manner. The second time, was a very poor experience. Dropped my car off the day before, to make sure I could get a state inspection the following day. I also asked for a fluid change. They called me in the morning saying they didnt have that particular fluid in stock but they could get it, I told them not to worry about it and only do the state inspection. About halfway through the day, I give them a call for an update, they say the inspection hasnt been done yet but would be soon and they would call me when it was ready. They never called back so I called them about 20 minutes before closing and they bring up the fluid again...strange. I once again tell them not to worry about it and Id be back another day. But, my state inspection is done. I get my car back, and look over the inspection checklist. Turns out, it was completed around 9:30 in the morning! There was obviously some severe lack of communication... multiple times. Bad experience. I decide to give them one more shot since my first experience was a good one. So, a while later Im in need of an oil change and my maintenance minder is also suggesting several other fluid changes as well as checking some components. I tell them that its not just a basic oil change and I tell them the maintenance minder code for my car and that other things need to be done as well. The man helping me was all like oh yeah yeah we always do a multi point inspection for oil changes. I, however needed a little more than your basic multi point inspection as well as the other fluid changes. So I make sure to tell the guy in more detail of what I need and even offer to show him the owners manual to make sure it all gets done. He declines. I should have fled. But, I leave my car there anyways. I pick it up a little while later when its done. The only thing done was the oil change and the basic multi point inspection. I had to take my car somewhere else to get the rest of the work done on another day. Ill never be going back to Dellingers.

I called Dellingers after Googling auto repair after my girlfriends car wouldnt start. The receptionist was very friendly and although the shop was pretty busy, Marty was very transparent about his assessment. Turns out he was right, and got us out very timely.I would HIGHLY recommend this establishment. No price gouging, very fair, and great customer service!

I called the night prior to service on my vehicle. The staff was very friendly and explained there is no need to drop your car off 24-48 hours prior to service like the dealerships on Western Branch Blvd. I was able to get a routine service from drop off to complete in just a couple of hours and only paid a fraction of what the dealer would charge. I did not have to be without my vehicle for a solid day and the quality of the service was world class. Do yourself a favor and drive past the dealership and let these professionals keep your car in good working order! Thank you Dellingers!

I got my vehicle inspected by Jimmie Williams. He was above friendly and accommodating. When I arrived he was ready and waiting. I was impressed by his service and will come back again.

I got a flat tire on a Sunday afternoon, called around and they were the only shop open that had my weird tire size in stock. Got towed there right before they closed and at 9am my car was ready to go.Quick and professional!

I was able to get an oil change and a state inspection the same day I called. I left my car with them and my car was ready for pick up within four hours. The prices were very reasonable and all staff were kind and courteous!

Joe was very helpful and courteous I needed my tire replaced but they did not have it in stock Joe went ahead and ordered it for me and I had it swapped the same day done in a timely manner even though they were very busy he was very professional keeping me updated would highly recommend for any services.

The amount of cars in their lot lets you know that their service is trusted by many. Just stopped in for an inspection this go round but I will definitely use them for additional service in the future.

I’ve been to Dillinger’s in Chesapeake VA I few times. They’re quick with state inspections and their tire alignment prices for my car are hard to beat. The front desk is always friendly and informative. Even though their services are first come first serve, I’ve never been turned away and they always do a great job.

Nice place. Quick good work but make sure you get the quotes in writing. The price changed after I loaded some old tires in the car for some tpms swaps. When the next guy quotes me it was far out of the range to make it worth it.

I have never written a review before but i just had to today. I had a horrible morning on my way to work. Driving down 664 i had a nice gentleman pull me over. He stated i had a flat tire!! I had no idea what to do. I drive an older car 1995 Toyota Camry. No spare and far from home i was terrified. He instructed me to get off on next exit. I did and immediately saw this sign Dellingers Tire and Auto. My heart felt relief and i was so thankful. I walked in in tears and shaking. A very polite guy named Jim asked if i needed help. He immediately took my car key and went outside to inspect my damage. I needed a new tire. I agreed and within 30 minutes i was out the door no tears smiling and on my way!! I recommend this place for safety or state inspection. Fast service. I got there 8am for first come first serve and they told me it will be done around 5pm bec alot of people drop off their car for inspection a day before. I told them I have only 1 car and I have to wait til 5pm but at 845am they said my car is done.

I found Dellinger’s on google I was in a pinch and needed somewhere close to the house. Initial feeling upon arrival was this place is a mad house, good luck finding parking, and everyone is busy doing something. However within minutes someone was helping me, giving me their undivided attention and answering all my questions. George and Marty were both exceptional at helping me see all my options, what I could afford vs safety vs what could wait and for how long. I more than appreciate the time and effort they put in and they will continue to have my business in the future.

I used the oil lube part of the business. The employees were not especially happy about life but they were professional. They brought my cabin and engine filters to me so I could see that they needed replaced. I chose to replace the cabin filter as it was slightly cheaper than the engine filter and Im on a tight budget. Later, I decided to buy an engine filter to replace it myself to save money. The filter was super cheap and just required me to do it. I was a little upset about the higher price for such an easy job 9about 15-30 seconds to replace the engine filter, a bit longer for cabin) so when I got an email asking me to rate the company and say if I would recommend them I gave it a thumbs down and said no.Later I got a call from a concerned manager and we had a very nice chat about it and went over prices and overhead etc. End all be all... Yes, the prices that auto shops and especially dealerships charge is pretty insane and I personally think its unfair to charge $29 for a $5 to $8 filter that takes 30 seconds to replace. But Dillingers is cheaper than any dealership would be, they did a good job, they gave me a visual inspection of my filters rather than just trying to scare me (as other places have done in the past), and they didnt try to convince me that my car had issues it didnt actually have. Then on top of it, they vacuumed my seats and foot area (which I had not had time to do as im very busy).In comparison to other companies, Dellingers seems great, I will probably give them more business in the future if I have car trouble. Anyone who cares about their business enough to have the manager call me up and spend 20 minutes on the phone with me deserves a few stars.

I love Dellingers. Today, I was told my cars inspection would be 2 hours, and they finished in an hour. In the past, Ive had my car serviced for tire replacement, vacation check, wheel alignment, brakes, oil change, and battery replacement, and even needed a tow over the past 15 years, and Dellingers has always handled each situation professionally and fairly. Plus, all the employees really seem to love their jobs and each other. I highly recommend their services!

Clean environment, quick service, but fairly high prices... I failed my inspection but they were ready to offer services to get my car worked on and finished with a passing inspection that day! I decided to take another route, but the option was nice to have.

I have to hand it to these guys, they do a good job and get you in and out pretty quickly. Prices seem a touch high, but Id rather go here than the place down the street.

My 2015 Honda Accord clunked out me at work on my last day. So much for driving off into the sunset laughing hysterically. I already knew it was the starter and had been driving around town with the part in the trunk knowing that I needed to get it installed. Was headed directly to the Honda dealership for the $760 repair. However, my out of town boyfriend found Dellingers online and called on my behalf. Was towed from the “ex job “ and they fit me right in. Starter install the next day and I was off to start the new chapter of my life. Wholeheartedly appreciated their quick service, professionalism and costs!!!! The fee was a fraction of the dealership !!!!!!!

My experience with Dellingers Tire & Auto is a 5-Star experience. I arrived at my appointment time and they were ready for me with no delay. New tires and TPMS sensors installed. Balanced perfectly and filled with Nitrogen for stable pressures. Now the good part. Checked alignment and everything was good. Heres the part that means everything....they could have told me the alignment was off and charged me for it but that wasnt the case. I knew the alignment was probably going to be good because I had it done recently.Honesty and professional service is everything in my book.Thank you George! Thankful I was able to get a same day state inspection appointment and they allowed me to bring my dog (called before hand to make sure it was ok) who is recovering from a spay. Did take some time but they completed it before their quoted wait time.

I have used this business before and was ok for breaks. But this last time horrible service! Brought in to see why my fan was blowing so loud on overdrive all the time. They told me because my AC. I told them it does it when AC isn’t on. They tell me it doesn’t matter, I’m not a mechanic so I say ok. It is Expensive to put new AC compressor kit on but I do it. Pick it up and fan is still blowing. Took it back, all it needed was more antifreeze because it was really low. Filled it up with about a gallon and half and it’s fine. So I paid $1,500 for nothing. Never going back there.

The starter on our car went, leaving us needing a tow from Hampton to our house in Portsmouth.Was able to get it started the next day and called to see if I could get it fixed. I was toldthey would be able to work on it but it would take a few hours.They were able to not only fit me in, but were able to fix it and complete a state inspection, at a price that was way less than what I was expecting.I will be going back when needed.

The facility was in a convenient location. The customer service representatives in the lobby area were very professional and helpful. I came in on a Sunday and was served in a timely manner. They conducted my vehicle inspection proficiently and in a timely manner. They handled my vehicle with care. I had to get an inspection. They were fast within reason for the visit like no other, they were friendly, they were professional. They had a seating area that was clean and comfortable to wait in while my service was performed. It was an overall fantastic experience. I used them before and will continue to do so because of the service and wait times. Simply fantastic!

Where do I start. First I was quoted to replace a part that had been replaced less than a year before and when the mechanic that did it came up there then all of a sudden it’s wasn’t that part that was bad but others so you tried to finesse me out of $1500. Then I asked that the car be inspected first to verify it would pass before I spent the $700 it would take to fix the real problem. I was told on 2 separate occasions that it passed inspection so I gave the green light to the repair and was told it would be done the next day. I called midday the next day to find out that the wrong part was ordered and it was going to be another day. No one told me of this I had to figure it out myself. So I go in today and paid the $700 which is not money I have laying around, and not to mention I was out money for being without a car for 4 days and they pull the car up and it has a rejection sticker on it. I was just shocked and when I asked what was going on I was told the tech that I had been speaking to the whole time was on vacation and that I would need to pay more money for additional work to be done for it to pass inspection. I can’t even put into words how disgusted I am with the whole process and yes this review is going up everywhere.

I went in for an annual inspection and the staff were friendly and professional. They called me to pick up my car in less than 2 hours without an appointment when other establishments that I called for service told me I would need to drop my car off overnight before they could get me serviced.

I had a State Inspection done on my travel trailer. Have been having difficulty in getting in anywhere including RV dealers. These folks took care of me with only a 15 minute wait. I have taken several vehicles to them over the years for service and inspections. Always a pleasure.

Vehicle state inspection. Service was fast and friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone. They are very thorough, not only with my recent inspection, but with services received in the past.

I called the afternoon before asking about state inspection and she mentioned to bring my car at opening. I made it there at 8am and they were able to bring my car in within 5 minutes after my arrival. All-in-all I was there for about 20 minutes. Easiest state inspection literally EVER! Their staff was friendly and one gentleman and myself enjoyed a conversation about his fishing experiences ☺️ Which actually interested a few other patrons of the business making the experience even better! During this pandemic real conversations have been few and far between with strangers so this was a breathe of fresh air! I will be bringing my husbands vehicle sometime this week for a state inspection and look forward to my visit.

Had a tire balanced on New Years day without an appointment. Technician was great and took time to explain that I had a bad tire and there was no need to continue with the balance. No charge!! I will be back with all 4 when the new tires arrive. Polite, professional, employees at every level.
