I had my venting lines flagged by the city for both my hot water heater and furnace. I had been given the run around by another company and after a week of no hot water I called 11 companies. This guy was my last call before I gave up. It was friday afternoon to make matters worse. My tech came out and replaced all this and was done in a couple of hours. I cant say how much I appreciated this! Hot water, especially with moving and little kids, is something Im so grateful for! Thank you!!

Incredible service. They’ve always been so punctual and everyone who has helped us has been so kind, patient and attentive. Travis and Jeremy have helped us multiple times and we love them! Travis is so good-natured and has such a wonderful attitude, very perceptive of customer’s concerns and fears and instead of insisting on their way and ignoring fears, assures us that he heard by repeating what we’ve expressed and reassures us he’ll check and reports back to us. He patiently and generously explains all we care to know. He taught my mom how to use the thermostat and wrote directions in his service summary. She wanted a hard copy service receipt even though they are paperless and he made a special note to bring hard copies from now on.

Dont search for another company; THIS IS THE COMPANY THAT YOU WANT FOR YOUR REPAIR!!! THEY ARE REALLY, REALLY AMAZING...THEY ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, QUICK AND THEYRE PRICES ARE EXTREMELY FAIR. Travis is a whiz! My furnace had been leaking for 2 days, and I was worried that it would be a big, complicated issue, but Travis put my mind to ease, explained everything and completed the repair in record time. This my new go-to company for all of my heating and cooling matters...make it yours too.

We just had HVAC installed in our home. Ducts and all. Steve, Jeremy, and Brad were amazing!! They answered every question we had and were very willing to explain anything we didnt understand. Travis, our technician came on time and was courteous. Our HVAC was inspected by Pride, coincidentally also Travis, back in March prior to buying our house. He noted on his return visit that the thermostat was not correctly wired which had not been touched since he previously passed the system with flying colors, as the house remained unoccupied. The capacitor blew which led to the blower motor burning out “somehow”. Interesting he didn’t catch the wiring problem during his initial inspection.Edit: Regardless of whether the wire affected the motor, it was not caught during the home inspection which may indicate a deficiency in the level of quality.

Jeremy! Friendly, knowledgeable, answered all questions patiently and so I. understood, perfectly. Explained, and showed exactly what was wrong with A/C. Found problem within seconds. I will sign up for semi annual maintenance contract in the fall...VERY reasonable price, and peace of mind after this visit. I felt trust with Nancy, on phone,, and exactly what showed up with Jeremy. BtW...found on internet, liked reviews, AND they scheduled me for the next day! Cant say enough good. Sometimes, so difficult to find good people/contractors in a new town.

I highly recommend Pride Mechanical. I had a fairly new unit that was not cooling and my previous company could not correct the issue. Jeremy found the problem and gave me advice as to get more efficiency and he and his crew did a wonderful job. I took out a service contract with Pride and can not say enough good things about this companys service.

On 7/22/21 Pride Mechanical Heating & Cooling services was contacted by my condo managemnt company due to my AC unit not working. They arrived the same day and conducted a through assessment of my HVAC system. The following morning representatives from the company dropped off two mobile AC units to help minimize the the frustration with not having AC as this was a great gesture that helped us cope for the weekend until our new Air handler unit and coil was installed on Monday 7/26/21.The owner arrived on 7/26/21 with two support staff due to the complicated nature of this new install. They were very professional in how they executed this job and demonstrated a caring philosophy in how equipment was transported from place to place. I highly reccomend Pride Mechanical Heating and cooling and if Steve (owner), Travis (Service tech), or another staff member name Steve (Service tech) show up to do a job for you - you can be assured you will be quite happy with the results that you are seeking.

Weve used Pride Mechanical a few times and will definitely use them again if necessary. Our AC went out in summer 2019 on a Saturday a week after I had a baby so we needed it fixed ASAP. Jeremy came out right at the beginning of the time window they gave us and got us up & running quickly for a really reasonable price. Unfortunately our unit was 25 years old and couldnt keep up with the intense heat this summer plus running 24/7. Jeremy came back, but there wasnt much he could do for us because it wasnt actually broken, just really old. He gave us a quote to replace the entire system and a few days later they came back to do it. Punctual, friendly, great work, and fair prices. What more can you ask for?

I highly recommend Pride Mechanical Heating & Cooling! I just replaced two split systems (upstairs and downstairs) and could not be more pleased. From beginning to end, Steve (owner) was involved in every aspect. During the initial visit, he walked me through my various options, pros and cons, without trying to up sale to a more expensive product.On installation day, he and his team worked together like a well-oiled machine. They each had a task and went about it in the most professional way. If they ate lunch, it must have been fast because the work never seemed to stop. They were all extremely polite and professional and took the time to answer any questions I had along the way. My dog was a little tense with the different guests coming and going so each of the technicians made an effort to pat his head and put him at ease.When they left, it was as if they were never there. All work areas were cleaner than when they started! I have had fairly good experiences with bigger HVAC companies in the past but I am so glad I ended up going with Pride Mechanical for this major purchase. The cost was substantially below the competition for the exact same product. Couple that with the high quality of work and you cannot beat them. I am now a lifelong customer. Steve (the owner) and Brad came out after my furnace stopped working the night before around 7PM. My fiancé, our dog and I were freezing with 3 blankets on. I called the morning after as soon as they opened and got a response immediately. They sent Steve and Brad out that day. Once they arrived they were nothing but honest, professional, and friendly. Would recommend them to anyone for any HVAC needs!

They were very pleasant over the phone when I called to have them go to my sons house he rents from me. They were able to go there right away and fix the problem that day. The technician was great! Definitely recommend them if you’re having any heating or cooling issues. Honest and respectful!

So I wanted to post my experience with this company.Pride Mechanical is hands down the BEST company I have ever had to work with in the Hampton roads area! I completely renovated a house I just purchased and of all the contractors I had doing work, Steve and his guys were the ONLY ones that gave me a GOOD HONEST estimate. They completed the work IN THE TIME HE SAID IT WOULD TAKE! they SHOWED UP ON TIME in the morning and worked ALL THE WAY through the day to COMPLETE THE JOB ON TIME! I had the technician Jeremy come to the house, called him on a sunday night and he showed up promptly at 8am monday morning Feb-11-2020 no waiting around or anything. He got right to work located the problem fixed it and was gone by 9. The quality of service is top notch and I highly recommend.

The owner Steve has always been punctual, hard working, honest, and his prices are extremely reasonable! He is a really great guy and treats his customers with respect. Also, Steves wife Nancy sets up the companys appointments and is very knowledgeable about a customers needs! She is so sweet and caring! I last saw Steve about four years ago. I called his company the other day as my AC quit working and Steve showed up the next morning at 9am! Now thats service! He put more freon in my unit, checked it out and cleaned it. My bill was a little under $200 which I thought was an extremely fair price! Steve brought another employee Brad with him who was very courteous and helpful! I will always use Pride Mechanical for my AC or heating services! Steve and his employees are the very best! Steve is absolutely an expert in his field and his prices are very reasonable! I would highly recommend Pride Mechanical to anyone needing AC or heating services! Steve definitely has complete expertise in the HVAC area! He is totally honest and trustworthy! Steve went above and beyond with correcting an issue with the HVAC system as far as seals and losing excessive cold air from the rubber boot. He thoroughly taped and sealed every possible area. He went the extra mile and was informative and answered all my question on how our system works (just bought this house) and even showed me how to do some basic maintenance on the one filter to keep the unit running well. When the time comes to contract with someone to do the twice a year maintenance....we will be contracting through him. No big corporate company for us. His customer service, commitment and professional is beyond excellent! Extremely personable and knowledgeable.

I have to say that Pride Mechanical does great work. My AC fan motor stopped working last night. I called Pride Mechanical this morning and they had it fixed by 11am. The owner even checked other items on the unit to make sure it was all good. I would strongly recommend Pride Mechanical.

I called Pride Mechanical after receiving horrible service and having multiple issues with One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning. Steve from Pride Mechanical is very knowledgeable and did an outstanding job when it comes to time, rates and getting the necessary replacement parts in a timely manner. I 100% recommend Pride Mechanical and I myself will never again choose anyone else in this area. Remember it isnt always a good idea to choose the most popular companies that you hear on the radio.

We hired Pride Mechanical as an HVAC inspector for our new house, and as first time home buyers - we werent sure what to expect! Jeremy, our inspector, went above and beyond. He noticed that the HVAC units were running in emergency mode meaning the heat pumps themselves werent turning on - and isolated the problem to an improperly configured thermostat. The thermostat was not installed by him or his company - so it wasnt even his problem - but Jeremy looked up the owners manual for the thermostat, re-configured it, and saved us (and the sellers) a lot of money not only in utility bills, but in service fees to try to fix the issue! We are so thankful for his thorough and honest inspection!

Have had problems with the A/C unit since it was installed in 2013. Every year it would run out of Freon. Called on the HVAC company that originally installed the unit for two years but was unable to find or fix the problem. Used four HVAC companies to diagnose the problem but the only thing done was add Freon. An HVAC specialist found the problem in 2017 which was a leak. He quoted a ridiculous price of $739.00 to fix the problem. Called Pride Mechanical and Jeremy came out and saw the problem. Due to the rain he couldn’t fix the problem that day but set up another appointment. He came back 5/17/18 and fixed the kink/crack in the line and added Freon. The charge was $386.00. Jeremy was very professional, courteous and personable. Thanks!!

Got a quote for my hvac system not long ago. Steve and his associate have a pleasant and honest vibe. Its nice not having to deal with sales people who have no idea what they are talking about, and never held a set of manifold gauges in their hands.Even cleaned existing air handler drain as a courtesy. Once again, Pride Mechanical came through again for us on Saturday when our A/C broke down again! (This time it was a capacitor that went bad on our unit.) Recently we were low on freon and our air handler froze up. It was over 80 degrees and hot,hot, hot, in our house...Not only did they come out and fix it, they didnt even charge me this time! These guys are super nice and do a great job! Now you tell me, is your current A/C & Heating Company EVER been that nice and quick???
