Went into Providence Computers this past Friday and had consultation with one of staff and gave me a estimate of both cost and time frame, both of which were fairly reasonable for the issues involved as well to express my interest in adding another stick of RAM as well. Fast forward to the morning of the next day, I receive a phone call from one of techs to update me on the status on my machine and to ask if I was still interested in purchasing another RAM, of which I accepted. Then within an hour of receiving that update call, I receive a text message letting me know my machine is ready for pickup. I called back to confirm payment as well as information to if they needed to a completed wipe of the machine of which they said they didn’t need to.Timely, effective, professional, and all around great experience. Providence Computers has found business with me in the future. Cannot recommend these folks enough.Keep up the proficient work, Providence Computers!

It feels like I got a 2nd class computer for 400-$ -- eve r y few min it automat ly cycles enlarging the font to 500% then 25% which it repeats until I stop it or it tires but they did fix something else for free & I nevr got to this but I could go back

I called looking for replacement T6 torqx screws for my 3070 Ti tension bracket (2 fell into the carpet/blackhole). Most ridiculous request to ask for, and the guy told me Im free to go thru their spare screws bin. An hour later I found 4 phillips heads that did the same job. Didnt charge me a buck. Im definitely coming back here for any and all small miscellaneous stuff. I mean, where are you going to find good people like this these days. I called 5 other shops prior and none of them offered me this....Breathing life back into 2021 and restoring faith in humanity at the same time.

A great place for all of your computer needs that is comparable to the big brand name stores. You can actually get a fully functioning computer for a reasonable price. They also sell a variety of parts as well. On top of selling computers they also offer repair service if that is your need. Additionally they will take in computer and computer-related items for recycling. The staff are polite and professional. They are following covid guidelines. Recommended.

I am creating this review as I have been a customer over the last 20 years picking up items when needed in a time crunch. And have never had an issue. Today I picked up a cpu cooler to replace my on as it has stopped working. When buying the item I was not told about any restock fees or return policy. I didnt see any at the counter when paying. I never opened the item and returned it just over 3hrs later. At this point was when I was told about the return policy and the 10% restock fee. I plan on updating this review if contacted by the company. In the end I feel that no restock fee should have been charged. And plan on going to there retailers in the future that would not have charged this. I look forward to the companys reply.

Sales are final, but units have a limited warranty. Store has a goodreputation. You can buy with confidence.

Staff is professional, polite and attentive. They also will work with you (without rushing you) to make sure you get what you want/need. Great Service ! My computer crashed and I was in dilemma.They had a used Dell with very good Memory and a fast processor at a great price. They were able to take the Data disk out of my old computer and put in the new one. All my files and DATA is intact !They did all this for about 1/3 the cost of a new computer !Highly recommended !!

Oh, Providence Computers is fantastic! I needed to replace my antique laptop, but couldnt afford a new one. So Mike showed me one of his refurbished computers. I liked the first one! He moved all my files to the new one. That saved me SO much time. I ran into some problems getting it set up at home to my printer. I received immediate help. Im now typing this review on my wonderful refurbished HP, complete with all the bells and whistles for a perfect price. I highly recommend Providence Computers...I wouldnt go anywhere else!

I had a great experience with this company several years ago so took my laptop back to them again. I was quoted $179.00 on the phone for the work to be done. When I picked up my computer, the total was $282.00. I got somewhat of an explanation from the lady at the counter which was completely different than what the technician had said on the phone. She shrugged her shoulders when I told her that wasnt what the tech had explained. I wont be going back

Outdated parts for the most part and way overpriced for what they do have.

Ive used Providence Computer Repair on several occasions. Each time I have visited there, they are always professional and prompt with service. They have always given me a day when they would be finished and have always called me if they have questions and when they have finished with service. When I have any kind of laptop issues I will continue to take my laptop here.

Ive unfortunately have had to go here once and called once.I say unfortunately as its never a good thing when your computer is not working.Ive gotta say this:These guys are stellar. They answered a questioned and fixed a problem before, and this time, I paid for expedited service and they meant it!!Theyve hardly been open an hour and a half and they called to say problem fixed!!! HP desktop wouldnt wake up, on restart: no boot and loud cooling fan noise. Came in and dropped off the unit for 24hr service since I run my business from that computer. Within 2 hours, Josh called me and told me the problem, blown mother board. He then gave me a few options, I picked one, computer was ready by the end of the day, plugged it in at home and aside from being much faster, it was exactly like nothing ever happened. Plus he gave me a trade in on my HP and took the old hard drive out and set it up to automatically back up the solid state one in the new computer. I had bought a new motherboard and CPU for my computer so I could upgrade to a 3rd gen Ryzen processor. The BIOS on my motherboard needed to be updated and the only way I could do that was by using an older CPU that the motherboards current BIOS supported. I would have had to wait over a week for AMD to send me a Boot Kit to do it myself, so I brought it here and they were able to get it done in about 15 minutes. Would definitely recommend this shop if your having any issues with your PC.

Went in to get some questions answered on fixing my friends desktop. All of the employees were very friendly and extremely helpful. Im decently tech savvy but I do not know everything and what I didnt know they helped with easily. They even allowed us to test the size of a video card before purchase and after everything was paid for they allowed me to work on the computer in their shop with the use of their tools and then power it up to make sure the desktop worked. They were there to help along the way and answer any further questions that I had. I was super surprised at how helpful and nice they were and would recommend them to anyone who needs computer help or parts. I will definitely return to them for future assistance.

They have helped me with a number of different issues on three different computers / operating systems, provided technical advice and answers and provided me the information I needed to make an informed decision.When the result was that work needed to be done on the computer, they gave me a clear explanation of what was needed and why, charged a fair price and did the work they promised - with no need to return to fix any residual problems that might have been created by the changes they made, or that werent apparent when first diagnosed.Bottom line - Ill continue to use them as my go to source for computer assistance and recommend them without hesitation to others.

I went in thinking I was in need of a new jack for my computer. They told me they would do their very best to fix it in 24 hours as it was needed as soon as possible. As I was signing the paperwork, the man who was going to fix it ran out (during his lunch break) and swapped my old charging cord for a new one to be sure that wasnt the issue. It turns out, it was a smaller, less expensive fix! Im so grateful that they took the time to save me money and solve the problem for me, especially while on break. I cannot thank them enough.

They Can To Fix Any & All Computer Problems

They replaced a mother board and power supply for me. Easy enough for someone that knows what they are doing.I asked if the drivers for the mother board were loaded into Windows. The man that worked on my computer looked me right in the eye and said Yes.Upon booting up the computer I discovered that he had lied to my face. None of the drivers were loaded for the components on the mother board. I had to find and download the drivers for my new sound card, Ethernet adapter, graphics card and USB ports.I would have understood if he had said No, I did not do that for you and I had to figure it out, but that is not what happened. He literally lied to my face.Their prices are 25% to 50% higher for parts than what you can find elsewhere. They charge full list price for parts and labor.Do your shopping before going there. I was unable to do so at the last minute when I needed my work computer repaired and I paid dearly for it.They did repair the computer in a timely manner.

Professional. Knowledgeable. Fair.They may not always give you the answers you want to hear, but they may give you options that are better than what you originally sought out for.

Their prices can be on the high side ($200 for Windows 7, can be had on-line for $20), and they dont care about the customer. Paid the high price cause I needed it imminently and felt that you get better customer service going to a local store. Sold me the wrong product and I didnt know till I tried to install it. They REFUSED to take it back or even offer store credit. Bye-bye $200. :-(

I took my computer in to have files copied and some software erased. They ended up erasing the entire hard drive and installing Open Office in a bizarre way. The computer never worked the same again and crashed completely in 2 months.

Excellent technical skills and installation services

Been here several times. They have lots of stuff that no one else around has. Store is kind of messy and sometimes the guys at the counter have to ask around before they can figure out where stuff is or if they have it at all. They have lots of used computers, but again half of them dont have prices or specs. Guy in the back with the giant beard seems to be the guy who actually does the repairs. Ask for him if you have questions. Five stars for being the only place around that actually has parts. One star off for being disorganized.

I needed a new computer and didnt want to spend a lot of money. They have reconditioned ones. Joe was so kind and helpful. He did not push me into buying something I didnt need. He came to my house to show me how to use my computer and connect it to wi-fi, printer, etc. Again he was so helpful and answered all my questions. I really thank Mike Karslake for sending me to his store and for Joes help.

I did not use this business as planned to upgrade my windows 7 to windows 10.Too Pricey, when I already had a key, that went unnoticed.

I had a laptop that was plagued by slow speeds and my memory was full for no reason. I had taken it to two big box stores previously and paid way to much money for them to just put a bandaid on a bigger issue. I walked into Providence Computers and within 24 hours they fixed all the issues the big box stores overlooked and my system has never run better and the laptop is over five years old now. I will go back any time I have an issue.

I work for a plumbing company and had the worst computer set-up ever! We called Providence Computers, and they hooked up a whole new systenm for us at an extremely reasonable price. Within a week we were up and running. They were curtious and prompt. When we have a question, the owner Mike, is right there to answer it.
