He was patient, kind and very attentive to my desires. He had great follow through and was very committed to everything we discussed. Never back peddling. Both He and Ryan Shields from finance worked out an awesome deal for my trade and I walked away a very happy camper getting an awesome vehicle with super benefits and features. Jerome, Cynthia, and Brandon are awesome! I recently went through a bankruptcy and knew that my chances of getting a vehicle would be slim, I came in to see Brandon and Cynthia to see if they could even work with me. They worked very hard for me and To my amaze they were able to put me in a vehicle that day! I later ran into some issues with approval from the bank and with Jeromes help he not only fixed it, he was able to lower my overall payment. The dynamic duo of Brian and Spiro did it again!!! They were truly a great team to work with in buying a new car. When Spiro didnt know the answer to my question, he just said he didnt know but will find out. How refreshing is that?!!! The process was seamless and didnt take ALL day. They were very kind to my family and even kept the wayer bottles coming during the extreme heat we had that day. When Brian was off helping another customer, Spiro was filling in and did a great job. The day of new car delivery, they noticed some deep scratches and called to let me know it was going to be a just a little later in the day for pickup. Wow!! Thats definitely looking out for the customer. These are the little details that make Southern stand out from other dealerships. I went to Southern Kia and experienced a great customer service. Spiro Papanickolaou was clearly standing out. He even speaks German, my native language, which was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable.Quite the opposite is Pam who shushes employees and was a major turn off to do business with Southern Kia. My wife and I felt uncomfortable after we met her briefly and it finally was the reason we walked away.

I went to several dealerships trying to find the right vehicle where no one would even come out and speak to me. However, when I pulled in to Southern Kia it was a completely different experience. The whole team is friendly and helpful, but Mark Davies went above and beyond. Because of him and the team I was able to buy my first ever brand new car. Fantastic experience at Southern. The delivery coordinator Khalia was extremely helpful in getting my vehicle protected. Also, the financing experience was equally excellent. Superb service from the time I walked in until I left. I was pleasantly greeted by someone at the front desk who guided me to Matt in the Service Department. Matt handled my service request with patience & kindness which left a noticeable impression. Once my vehicle had been serviced, Matt provided curbside treatment where I literally walked out of the front door and stepped into my vehicle. I noticed my driver side floor mats appeared cleaner than when I dropped off my vehicle. Thank you to whomever took care of that as well.

We had the best experience at this dealership with Mikul Brown. We went to test drive the Kia Telluride and Mikul was a big help with showing us the Telluride!! There was no pressure and he gave us all the info needed. After thinking about it for a day or so we went back and bought the vehicle!! I just bought a car through Southern Kia for the first time last week and I had an awesome experience the whole way through and thought I should share for anyone wondering what type of a business Southern Kia is. My salesman was Mark Davies and I only have positive things to say.PRESSURE TO BUY. Previously, Ive bought a car at First Team Toyota in Chesapeake and they were calling me constantly, sending me a ton of robo-emails, and generally blowing up my phone. I experienced none of that through Southern and it was really refreshing, so when they say no pressure to buy they actually mean it.PRICING. Everything about the pricing was very transparent and there was only a slight markup from the MSRP listed on Kias official website (which I understand, because dealerships need to make a profit somehow). I would say I received a fair price and also had a written offer honored about a week after I received it from Mark.PUNCTUALITY. Mark always got back to me within 12 hours of me leaving a message on his work phone and if he wasnt at work, he even went out of his way to give me his personal number if I needed to contact him.POST-SALE. Ive definitely experienced the post-buy phenomenon where, after a dealership has closed on a sale, youre now basically irrelevant to them and tend to get treated as such. I would say I experienced the opposite of that at Southern. A couple days after I bought my car, I had an issue with the headlights (through no ones fault, really, you wouldnt catch it unless you did a nighttime test drive). After Mark called me back about the issue, I was in the shop within two hours and the issue was resolved in about 30 minutes (free of charge, which was expected, but nice to see followed-though upon).DEALERSHIP AS A WHOLE. So far, havent had to deal with anyone except Mark much, but I will say that it can be difficult to get connected to someone in the building on weekdays. I was hung-up on by the Service department when I was trying to call about ordering an OEM part through Kia, but Mark promptly followed up on that and made sure my issue was resolved, so I can let that go pretty easily.FINAL VERDICT. In retrospect, I would definitely buy through Southern again if I had to do it again (even if I wasnt buying a Kia). Ive had no major issues or times when its felt awkward having to turn down add-ons or features or felt pitched-to by any salespersons. Id also recommend them to anyone looking for a new car.Thanks Mark and thanks Southern for the positive experience!**UPDATE**Its been a month and you definitely start to get forgotten about. Its a pretty big annoyance trying to get in contact with someone over the phone. Very regularly get hung up on by multiple departments. Get transferred to nobody where the line goes to a voicemail box thats full. Communication is definitely the weakest link in this business chain. Id say theyre pretty much your nominal car dealership once they get your money. Still an overall average experience, so 3 out of 5 from an original 5 out of 5.

This place is horrible. They jack the price up around $1,200 from what they have on their website. Then add around that much in surprise fees when they write up the paperwork. They charge you for so called insurance to give you money towards a new car, if you wreck your current vehicle. Which Im sure, if that happens, you wont actually get. And they also charge you $700 for a LoJack tracking system, that you dont ask for, and refuse to take off the charge. They lie to you and say that itll get you a discount on your car insurance. Dont believe this. I talked to my agent and no insurance agent will give a discount for that. Beware!

He assured me that I made the right choice and he could get me in a vehicle, so after talking to him and him figuring things out Im heading that way to get my first car. This place was awesome! I moved from the Middle East and only had a few days in Norfolk. They were able to secure my car for me while I was still overseas, and even though my plane landed close to closing hours the whole team stayed to make sure I got to drive off the lot that night. Wanted to buy a car off of the lot. Met up with a salesman and we started to negotiate. We started out one thousand dollars apart. After 10 minutes of negotiation the salesman jumped an extra thousand dollars higher than his original offer. After talking to his manager she offered three thousand higher than the first offer. They raised there original offer by three thousand dollars. The salesman also tried telling me if I didnt pay extra money I was taking food out of his kids mouth...... are you kidding me! Needless to say a deal didnt work out. I was told well maybe it was a complete waste of time after we didnt come to a deal because they increased there price by three thousand dollars. Dont waste your time here make a drive to a dealership in the Richmond area that actually has inventory coming in.

When I first came to southern, the sales rep helping me wasn’t very helpful and didn’t listen to my wants or needs at all. I decided to chance it a second time around and that’s when I met Mark Davies. I’d been looking for a car for some time now with no luck. Once again, I experienced excellent service and was well taken care of. My last appt was an emergency as I had a slow leak due to a nail in one of the tires on my 2019 Kia Soul. They were able to fit me in and get the tire repaired under the warranty plan I had purchased.Today, was a scheduled appt to rotate the tires; even with being short staffed, I was in and out within 1.5 hrs.The service manager Shane McIntyre is very attentive and customer service oriented. I worked with him both times. This morning he called to let me know the situation, in the event I wanted to reschedule, which was very considerate. Both times, the car was vacuumed, windshield cleaned, and fluids topped off. The five stars are well deserved!!

2 weeks ago waited 7 hours, exhausted, with a 2 week old baby, to finally be sold a car that was not even on the lot (and did not find out until we went to pick up after it was supposed to be ready for us over the weekend.) They tried to sell us a vehicle we did not want, after that. Still waiting for our car, supposedly coming from another dealership, now 2 weeks later. We were given a loaner that my husband was just told he has to return tonight, after working all day, and drive back to the dealership, because they SOLD it to someone that was supposed to pick it up today! (Those people are being compensated in price...we have not been.) The amount of hoops we have had to jump through to get the vehicle we were originally sold, has been ridiculous. I would love to post a photo of my new car...but as far as I know it doesnt exist.

My husband was quoted an e-price for a vehicle. We took off work to go purchase the vehicle. Once we got there, they told us they could NOT offer the e-price. Not to mention, they had increased the original price we had seen when we first test-drove and inquired about the vehicle. They wanted us to pay $1,600 MORE than the e-price they QUOTED us. This is the definition of BAD business and FALSE advertising! What a waste of our time. Im FRUSTRATED and EXTREMELY disappointed.... This was suppose to be a car for our college kid who leaves for college in 4 weeks!

I was shopping around for a new 2021 Kia Forte and at first I had a sales associate I didn’t really like he tried to up sell me on a car and if it wasn’t for the fact that he had another appointment that day, I would’ve went home empty handed. So he left for his another appointment while I was looking around and then a angel sent from heaven Spiro Papanickolaov assisted me in test driving and deciding to make the purchase order of the Kia Forte GT. Even though he was fairly new and didn’t know everything... he went out of his way to help answer any and every question I had. The sales guy Larry E. Was helpful at first then began to get a bit pushy towards the end after we realized our price range. He showed us the ins and outs of the car we were interested in. The test drive of the car was decent too. He was hounding us trying to get us to not walk out the door...after knowing we had other things to do, knowing we wouldnt sign today. He was decent up until the last comment where he showed us a used car..and we stated we would think on it. This dude said with a sarcastic smirk on his face you gonna think on it? As if I shouldve signed then and there. I cannot speak for the other workers here... but I will not be returning here nor will I recommend. Kia is great but the customer service could use some training...all bc we wanted to consider options. The only thing greater than the first hour we were here was knowing that there is a kia in lynhaven. Other than that, my advise would be to go when its busy and more sales staff are there. BTW kia in suffolk at least offer you a beverage while you wait before they stuff a what can I do to earn your business line down your throat.

Great experience. I was nervous because I never purchase a vehicle from a big dealership but Matthew went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and wasn’t scared. He was honest from the start and I didn’t feel like I was being pressure to make a fast purchase. Thank you Matthew for making this experience a breeze. I dont know where to begin, this whole process buying with Southern Kia has been the worst. I will never come back again. I would only come back if my sales guy was at a different dealership. This whole thing started with hiccup at Southern Lynnhaven, I will not go into full detail. What baffles me the most the calls and voicemail and especially to the president of the company, no one seems to care or to return the call. On top of that, I feel bad for my sales guy that lost the sale of my car, because I had to end up going to Greenbrier instead due to the issue that happen at Lynnhaven. I even ask to transfer the car, which they can do, so my original sales guy got the credit, but nope could not happen. I did not know that they can not share sales or at least give some credit, yet the same dealership at two different locations, I learn that the hard way and again feel horrible he did not get the sale he deserved. Now I am dealing with another issues that I now waiting to see if it will be fixed. The only true reason I came to this dealership cause the car was similar to my car that was totaled. I would have gone to my dealership that I usually always shop at but due to Covid, the inventory and shipments were not happening for another two months. I could not wait that long for a car. This has not been the best experience and hope they can live up to better values and honesty with future customers. I would like to recommend Brad at the Lynnhaven location, for how awesome he was and for all his help. I am sorry I will not be coming back. I am now stuck in car that I am extremely unhappy with because of how the whole situation has turned out. The Car is great, but not the company.

I love my new car! Ms. Cynthia Adams took “over care” of me. I started my car search online while out of state. I called Southern and got Ms. Cynthia. Told her what i wanted and what i wanted in it and what day i wanted to be able to pick my car up. She gave me her cell number and said she would be back with me in a couple of days. Less than 30 mins later she was calling me back and verifying what i wanted in my Kia K5. Within 25-30 mins we were finalizing my vehicle and payment amount. When i returned to VA Ms. Cynthia came in on her OFF DAY to ensure i was taken care of and leaving the dealership as soon as possible. I loved the customer service I received from everyone at Southern, and Ms. Cynthia took care of me like i was family not a single surprise everything was exactly the way and what we discussed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Southern!!!

As far as the sales team goes this place is amazing but the service team are by far the worst. Not even customer service wise just the inconvenience. I purchased a 2021 Car it hadn’t even been a year yet and something was wrong with 3 of my 4 tires. I needed new ones instead of having some sort of Kia compensation for the 2021 car they try to charge me 600 FOR 3 BRAND NEW TIRED I had the 2021 car for only 7 months like WHAT.? Safe to say I got used tires else where for ALL 4 and less than half that price. And when I bought the car I spent almost 3000 dollars on EXTRA COVERAGE FOR WHAT... the world may never know.... To add insult on injury my backseat rug is like a swimming pool RANDOM leak from god knows where THERE ISNT ANY VENTS IN THE K5 2021 GT LINE BACK SEATS maybe I left a window open during a hurricane who knows -.- . And furthermore you would think hmm can it get any worse try to call to get it fixed and they tell me I have two vague options. 1 drop it off anytime and POSSIBLY get it back in a week POSSIBLY NOT. Or option 2 schedule an appointment 30 days out. And the lord himself only knows when I’ll get my car back. So either at some point im going to be carless 2021 car hasn’t been a year and there’s NEVER A LOANER CAR AVAILABLE are ya throwing parties in it.? Is it TURO being booked up for some get back from the pandemic this is ridiculous meanwhile I’m writing this review and my buddy in the backseat ankles might be submerged in water. Anybody who sits back there walks out my car leaving water prints on the ground as if ran through a lake... can’t wait till see how much i “MIGHT HAVE TO PAY” because of some written print nonsense.

My wife and I made the hour and a half drive to Chesapeake from North Carolina to buy a car! At the time of purchasing, I was told due to the pandemic the license plate may take some time to arrive to us, but that we would be able to call and receive another set of 30 day tags in the meantime! Well that wasn’t the case at all. I have now called FOUR different times and was told each time that they “were sending the tags and would be to us in just a couple of days”...my 30 day tags have now been expired for a month and still nothing. Today was the SECOND time I have been stopped by the police and received a warning. My wife called today and talked to a man who said he would get the issue over to someone and I would receive a call back soon. If you are looking for a dealership with good customer service after the sale, avoid this place at all cost. Once they have your money, your issues are not taken care of. I will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership.

My parents and I were quoted an e-price for a vehicle we test-drove twice and started inquiring about around July 2nd. We took off work to go purchase the vehicle this morning, July 7th. Once we got there, they told us they could NOT offer the e-price we had been quoted by their internet representative. Not to mention, they had increased the original price we had seen when we first test-drove and inquired about the vehicle. They wanted us to pay $1,600 MORE than the e-price they QUOTED us. This is the definition of BAD business and FALSE advertising! What a waste of our time.Later today, the General Manager, Joe Cuellar called my dad. Mr. Cuellar made EVERY excuse he could think of NOT to honor the price we were quoted. My dad read him the e-mail and sent it to him. After ALL the excuses, he finally stated that his representative made a mistake. That wasnt the price she should have quoted. Mr. Cuellar even tried to convince us to buy another car. Wow… 1. What reputable company does that? 2. How is it our fault because Southern Kia’s representative quoted us the wrong price? We took off work to purchase the vehicle based on the price someone at Southern Kia Greenbrier quoted us. The price we were quoted on-line SHOULD have been honored.The fact that a company is running such a SHADY business is VERY disturbing!!

Wanted to give a shout out to MARK DAVIES for the excellent customer service. I had to take my Sorento in for a repair and they ended up having to keep it for awhile as the part was on back order (No fault of Kia’s). He was great at keeping me updated to the progress of my vehicle. I was able to pick up my Sorento today and he went above and beyond to make sure she was all detailed and sparkling. He’s your guy when your looking for not only a great buying experience but also excellent customer service for the life of your vehicle!!
